"I'm not asking,"

The woman stepped back as the boy grabbed the door, nearly breaking the door as small cracks traveled though.

"Project Kr," She whispered, wide eyed.

Conner narrowed his eyes, frowning. "That's not my name."

The woman was taken aback, only for a moment though, as a narrow, hostile look to over her face.

"You come here to kill me?" she asked. She leaned her arm against the couch.

"I knew this day was coming," She continued. "From the moment-"

"That's not what i'm here for," Connor interrupted, offended. "I don't kill."

"Then why are you here?" She asked. "It's the only reason I can think of,"

"You..." He narrowed his eyes. "You've been contacting me,"

Norma raised a brow in mock interest.

"No I haven't. I dumped the whole Cadmus thing years ago," She explained. "I've got nothing to do with it anymore, and I don't want to."

Connor blinked in confusion.

"You don't like Cadmus?"

"It hindered my scientific ability," Norma rolled her wrist as she talked.

"Don't get me wrong, they begged for me back. Besides you saw what happened when I wasn't there," There was a faint snicker in her voice.

Connor stared at her for a moment. "If your not communicating with me... Who is?". He started back up at her, almost desperate for an answer.

Norma snorted. "I don't know. And I don't care," She started. "And if you have nothing more, then leave before I call the cops," She hissed.

Connor glared at her for a moment, before exhaling and turning away.

"Fine." He said, almost hopelessly.

He shut the door behind him.

Conner continued to walk down the suburb sidewalk. He looked around, studying each house in detail as he walked by.

Each house was a similar shade of blue or grey. Most had vibrant, but practical doors, and all seem to have perfectly grown flowers, which all seemed to correlate with the whole color scheme of the neighborhood.

Connor snorted; This place seemed disgustingly peaceful. he kicked a pebble along as he walked, quickening his pace; The longer he was here, the more uncomfortable it had become.

The whole thing bothered him; It was one of those problems he couldn't punch his way out of.

He kept strolling, until the sharp sound of his communicator cut threw the silence.

"Yes?" Connor narrowed his brows as he listened in.

"Got it," He said, look ahead. "I'll be right there."

Superboy walked to the central command room, hands in fists, ready for action. He stood beside Miss Martian, receiving a soft smile from the girl.

"So, whats this about?" Superboy asked. " Any new leads on LexCorp?"

"No," Aqualad stated," This mission is entirely new"

"A new mission?" Miss Martian questioned.

"Where is everyone?" Beast Boy asked, realizing half the team wasn't there.

"Must be a small mission," Batgirl concluded.

Aqualad turned to the computer behind him. He typed for a moment, before the picture of a girl showed up on the screen.

" Jillian Chow, 14. Last scene walking home from school in Toronto," Aqualad stated.

"I hate to sound uncaring," Beastboy started. "But why are we investigating a missing persons?" He questioned.

"It's understandable; These aren't the kind of mission we take," Aqualad started. "But, Interesting technologies have shown up at the scene," He explained.

"Interesting technologies?"

"They called us about two hours ago," Aqualad said. " Whatever they found- It's not from earth,"

Some of the team members raised brows in surprise.

"Are you saying she was kidnapped by aliens?"

"I'm not saying anything," Aqualad started. "Robin, Wonder Girl, Batgirl; I want you three to investigate the scene. Beastboy, I want to scout the area."

"Roger,"The three simultaneously responded. The walked away, loading into the zeta-tube.

"What about me?" Superboy asked impatiently.

Aqualad stared at the computer for a moment, before turning back to his teammate.

" I know about your little 'solo mission'," Aqualad started.

Superboy furrowed his brows, but didn't say anything.

"Robin's hacking device. It's connected to this main computer; In case I ever need to see something," Aqualad explained.

He narrows his eyes at Superboy.

"Is there something you want to talk about?"

Superboy stared back at him for a moment, exhaling.

"No,"

He turned to walk, but felt a gruff hand gently grab his shoulder.

"You are a teammate. But you are also my friend," Aqualad reminded.

Superboy didn't look back at him.

"Understood."

Robin held his arm up, scanning the crime scene; Wonder Girl was talking to police, and Batgirl was busy sampling some strange powder found on the ground.

"So, are there any witness reports or-"

"Wonder Girl, we've got something!" Robin called over to her.

She rushed over, placing a hand on Robin's shoulder as she stopped.

"A sidewalk?"

"Under the sidewalk," Robin explained. "strange traces is radiating from inside; It must've fallen threw the drainage pipe," Robin suggested.

Wonder Girl smiled. "Got it,"

Robin and the police investigating took a step back; Cassie closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath, slowly releasing it.

She yelled as she brought her fist up, only to small is it down on the concrete, piecing a large, crumbling hole threw it.

She jumped down, looking around the musty sewer under the sidewalk, studying her surroundings carefully.

"I don't see anything!" She called out.

"The radar is picking something up," He called out. "Keep searching,"

She stared out longer, before something shining in the light caught her eye. She walked, carefully pushing away a piece on concrete; It relieved a small-egg shaped orb, blinking lights and what seemed to be a lens on each side.

She stared at it for awhile, as it seemed to stare back at her. It suddenly blinked red, before a strange buzzing sound erupted.

"What the-" She started, before cutting herself off with a mild yelp of pain as it pricked into her hand. She dropped it, only for it to take off thought the hole quite fast; Wonder Girl had no time to catch up.

"Wonder Girl?!" Batgirl cried out. Wonder floated up, squeezing the palm of her hand.

"I'm alright," She explained, "It just pricked me; That's all."

"Odd," Robin grab and studied her hand, gaining a wince from his girlfriend.

"What?" Wonder Girl asked.

"It's not a offensive wound," Robin concluded. "I don't think it was attacking," He pondered suspiciously.

"It's probably nothing," Wonder girl shrugged. "It probably just wanted me to let it go,"

Robin let go of her hand; Though, he still had a serious face. He opened his belt, pulling out a band-aid.

"Here," He said, peeling it and securing it to the palm of her hand.

"Thanks," Wonder Girl blushed.

"Well then," Batgirl interrupted. "While you two are off all lovely dovey, I discovered the store down the road has a security camera," She smiled

"I'll check it out," She stated. " In the mean time, you two interview the parents; We'll meet at the watchtower later tonight,"

Robing and Wonder Girl smiled at each other, nodding.

"So, can you describe your daughter to me?" Robin asked the parents. "What she life, who are her friends, where does she like to hang out?"

Me. Chow looked up with sadness in his eyes as his wife whimpered quietly.

"She was a nice girl; Good grades, good friends," He explained. "I don't understand how this could've happened to her." The man wailed.

"Sir, please," Robin consoled. "We'll do everything we can to find her; But, we need as much information as possible."

"Well- Well, she liked to hangout with her friends at a smoothly shop in the town," He started. "She and her friends liked to walk around town, you know, visit the little places," He continued. "Liked independent stores,"

"I see," Robin nodded. "Did she ever talk about meeting someone during these trips?" He asked.

"No," Mr. Chow sighed. "She wasn't shy, but she wasn't the kind of girl to introduce herself spontaneously,"

Robin nodded as he wrote down the information on a note pad.

"Is her cellphone here?" He asked.

"No, she always had it with her,"

Robin looked back down at his notes, nodding.

"Alright. We'll be back tomorrow," He said. "Best thing you can do is try to get a little rest; It might help you remember anything important,"

Mr. and Mrs. Chow looked away, gently nodding. Wonder Girl and Robing could hear them break down was they walked away.

The two walked in the forest, where they had parked a small air ship earlier.

"That's so sad," Wonder Girl sighed.

Robin nodded in agreement. "This whole case is strange; Why would aliens want to abduct some girl?"

"I don't know," Wonder Girl sighed. "But I hope she's alright,"

"Ya, me too-"

Robin was cut off a sudden boom; He grabbed his standing teammate, pulling them both down.

He leaned up, before looking back down over the girl under him.

"You alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine," She said.

They both got up, rearing their weapons, as a figure emerged from the flying dust.

It was a strange looking robot. Strong, built with many little gadgets along it's arm and chest.

It stood there for a moment, before suddenly charging. Robin attacked, only to have another jump out and block him. It grabbed him, throwing him into the bushes.

"Robin!" Wonder Girl cried. She tried to run to him, only to have the first robot grab her. She tried to pull away, when a puff of green smoke emit from it's chest. She coughed, not able to cover her mouth with her trapped arms.

She struggled, before she felt her legs and arms go numb, as if they weren't even there. She drooped, the robot throwing her over it's shoulders, heading back to it's ship.

"Cassie!" Robin cried. He grabbed his batarang, furiously jabbing at the robot blocking his way.

He finally landed a blow to the chest. The robot shook, before the circuits burnt out.

He looked around, panicky, only to see the robot and Wonder Girl gone.

He pulled out his communicator, frantically contacting the watchtower.

Aqualad look over the file with Nightwing, who seemed to have nothing better to do on a Friday night. He stood over the computer as Nightwing read from the chair.

"Aqualad, Aqualad!"

Nightwing sat up from his chair, both men were a little surprised from the panic in Robin's voice.

"Robin, it's Aqualad.," Aqualad said into the communicator. "What's going down there?"

"Won-"

"one?" Nightwing questioned.

"Wonder Girl!" Robin stuttered.

"Wonder Girl?!" Aqualad sounded surprised. "Is she hurt?!"

"I don't know! They took her!"

"What?!" Aqualad thought.

"They just took her!"

Batgirl looked over the tapes, watching. She watched Jillian walk down the street, only to disappear from the top of the screen, out of the camera's viewpoint.

She kept watching the tape, noting at Jillian's every little movement.

She stared into the screen, until something caught her eye. It looked as if Jillan had been holding something in each hand.

She stared for a long time, before typing something in the computer, raising the resolution.

She looked back the higher-quality screen.

Jillian wasn't holding something, just seemed to be squeezing one with the other.

"What...?" Batgirl questioned.

She made the resolution clearer, observing Jillian on screen as she was squeezing her empty hand.

Perhaps she had been cut...

She gasped, coming to a realization.

She had been pricked.

She turned on her communicator, dialing to Aqualad.

"Aqualad! The girl Jillian; She had been tracked," Batgirl reveled.

...

She narrowed her brow, expecting a reply.

"Aqualad?"

...

"She's not the only one."
