A/N: I know I have been off the radar for the past two years and I know everyone who has been following this has been waiting for some kind of sign for this story to return and now it has. I am revamping this story yet again and this time it will keep going up from here. I really want to apologize to you all and I hope can make it up to you.

Chapter 1
Troubling Circumstances Arise!
Age 762 November 2
A faint smirk could be seen on his lips as he stared through the circular window. In his view on this occasion was lush blue planet that gradually grew larger as the minutes passed by. This particular location gained his interest the day he eavesdropped on Raditz's conversation for one reason. Hidden deep within the depths of the obviously large planet were Dragon Balls, which were said to have the ability to grant the wishes of those who gather them together. Hearing a confirmation of such existence allowed the Arcosian tyrant to pre-plot the expansion of his ever-growing empire. One would think items of this caliber were a myth, but the sheer confidence in the voice of Raditz's killer only reassured him further.
Now, why would the strongest being in the universe desire to obtain a set of items with the ability to grant wishes one may ask? While it was highly unlikely for a single insignificant life form to be able to make even the tiniest scratch on his body, he was still vulnerable to powerful attacks, the rare diseases of his race, and though extremely far off, the inevitable day of his death. He did not want to relinquish a hold of his empire because he wanted to have control over the entire universe. In addition, he had the very little worry of insurrection from either his soldiers directly under his command or the numerous races who swore their loyalty to him, allowing them to keep their homes. However, the act was very possible due to their obvious hatred towards him.
He refused to permit any events of that nature to transpire. In fact, it was the main reason why he caused the extinction of the saiyan race. For every battle they entered, for every injury they endured, they came out ten times stronger than before once healed after it was over. In due time, a saiyan powerful enough would breach the limits and transform into the legendary Super Saiyan capable of slaying him and ending his reign of terror in the universe. To prevent the case, he killed them all, barely allowing a few he wanted to live to strip them of gaining any sorts of ultimate power. His actions in the past could be labeled as raving paranoia, but there would be no way taken away by an insignificant monkey incapable of completing even the simplest of problems.
An evil gleam sparkled in his piercing red eyes as he gazed upon the beauty sitting before him, "Soon, very soon, every living being shall know the name of Lord Frieza. If Raditz had not kicked the bucket already, I'd thank him for his contributions. At least he served one final purpose before his….unfortunate demise."
His habit of eavesdropping on the saiyans conversations was a means of keeping tabs on the saiyans missions and their undeniable ulterior motives. Unsurprisingly, Vegeta was finding all means to get away from his control and kill him for all the years of unpleasant torture. Constantly, he'd hear Vegeta rant about having his head the moment he acquired vast strength. While the notions had gone ignored on their part, he withheld punishment until the right moment presented itself. Once it arrived, the tyrant would unleash unyielding fury amongst his most loyal servants and leave them each begging for his mercy.
"Vegeta shall be in for a rude awakening. I am growing tired of his arrogance and ideas of thinking he even stands a chance of defeating me in battle. He is leagues behind me and I will gladly remind him of his place in the universe I rule. As for Nappa, that brainless buffoon will only follow in his footsteps."
Suddenly, a knock sounded off at the door, snapping him out of his thoughts, "Lord Frieza!"
"It's open," the Arcosian responded shortly.
Not a moment too soon, the door slid open automatically. Two soldiers stepped into the medium sized room, revealing to be his trusted and loyal generals- Zarbon and Dodoria. They came to a halt in the middle of the room, each bearing a confident grin on their lips.
Zarbon was the first to speak, "Lord Frieza, you'll be pleased to hear that we shall be landing in approximately one day."
The ruthless overlord retained his small smirk, "Excellent. It's only a matter of time."
"I still don't get it Lord Frieza," Dodoria stated, scratching his head in slight confusion. "Why are we traveling all this way for some balls that might night even be real? For all we know, we could be on a wild goose chase. Couldn't you have sent a scouting force to investigate it?"
"Dodoria! You know better than to question Lord Frieza," the Azurian male berated.
"There's no need for that Zarbon," the sinister leader responded calmly. "I can understand his skepticisms about these fabled objects. It is only natural for one to hold such doubts with lack of evidence as I initially felt that way in the beginning. However, I feel the mystery has been deemed worth to investigate for myself, especially since those monkeys have interest in them as well. Besides, I want to use this chance to further strip Vegeta's silly little hopes and dreams he has formulated in his puny mind. All we have to do is extract the information from these Earthlings and everything else will fall into place."
"Hahaha, I see," the large alien chuckled darkly. "These inhabitants are the keys to your success. I know the moment they land, Vegeta and Nappa will try to go after them as well. You'll want us to capture them too as well right Lord Frieza?"
Frieza gave a slow nod in agreement, "Of course, I learned over the years that the saiyans have been growing increasingly rebellious and will do anything to ruin my pleasure. I do not want his trip to be a waste as my dream would be at a loss."
Dodoria grinned deviously towards the ruthless leader, "We'll make sure the mission goes on without a hitch and the Earthlings cooperate."
The Arcosian glanced through the corner of his eye as he remained quiet for a moment before he spoke again, "How long until their arrival exactly? I know they should not be far behind."
Zarbon smoothly moved a strand of hair that fell in his face and answered, "The same as ours Lord Frieza. They certainly will not be expecting our presence on this backwater planet. Knowing Vegeta, he'll try tooth and nail to get his filthy hands on the Dragon Balls, but we'll make sure he doesn't get far."
He chuckled darkly to himself, "Let's not be too hasty. I'm sure these Earthlings have prepared for their arrival and the monkeys plan to fight them to acquire information they desire. When they least expect it, that is when you will take action and apprehend every last one of them. If they resist, you're allowed to use whatever means necessary, just don't kill them."
Kami's Lookout
The elderly guardian of the Earth, better known as Kami, stood in his usual position towards the edge of the lookout in complete and utter silence. Ever since the departure of Earth's defenders, he periodically checked on their progress to ensure they were using their new skills and knowledge in the final weeks before the saiyans arrival. Under his tutelage, the young men hone their abilities and gained a grasp on the force soon to be reckoning upon their planet quite soon. While individually they would not be able to defeat either of the two saiyans, but with the proper tactics and teamwork, victory would be in their grasps.
As he focused his attention towards his counterpart, Piccolo, and his young pupil Gohan, he allowed a gentle smile to form on his lips. The younger Namekian warrior was the reincarnation of the original Demon King Piccolo, Kami's pure evil half, and born as a means to get revenge on Goku for killing him and continue in his dream of ruling the world. After the fight between Jr. and Goku five years ago, Jr. departed to destinations unknown in order to train to defeat his eternal enemy, but even then, Kami had sensed a change, albeit a small one, but a change none the less.
When Raditz arrived to claim his brother, he offered his assistance if it only meant to get rid of the competition so he could achieve his two goals. However, after the death of the two brothers and his revelation of the Dragon Balls, his goals once again shifted due to the warning of the arrival of two more saiyans who desired to claim the mystical objects and their ability to grant wishes for themselves. He knew his power was needed for this upcoming battle so he sought to train his body for the cause if it meant, yet again, to pursue his own selfish desires. In addition, once he witnessed the temporary awakening of the half-saiyan's power, he realized that the boy was a necessity to the battle if properly trained to harness those abilities.
In the beginning, he felt nothing for the boy, but over time, he grew on him. Although he sported a cold and harsh exterior, Piccolo truly lost a great part of his father's influence due to the boy's kindness and unprejudiced judgement he showed him. It was truly remarkable to see Piccolo open his heart, but he knew, the younger Namek shall never admit it.
"Is everything alright Kami?" questioned Mr. Popo from behind.
The elderly guardian turned his attention to his long-time companion and friend with his light smile, "I'm quite alright Mr. Popo. I was merely checking on our heroes. It is only a matter of time before the saiyans arrive."
Despite the impending danger, the genie was happy to see him in decent spirits. He joined Kami by his side and stared to the clouds below, "Kami, do you think Goku and his friends will be able to defeat the saiyans."
His gentle expression turned focused as he thought of the possibilities, "I am confident that they will defeat the saiyans, especially with his training with King Kai, but not without casualties I'm afraid. Even with the year's training, there is still a large gap of power between the Earthlings and the saiyans, but they are prepared to take that risk and die for their planet if called for."
"Does that include…?" Mr. Popo trailed off, assuming the guardian knew what he wanted to saiyan.
Kami gave a slow nod, "Yes, Piccolo is included, but I am ready should the moment arise."
"Kami…" the genie called softly. He was worried by the God's acceptance of his death. They had been friends for decades, so to see him go would be extremely heartbreaking for the stout genie.
"I understand your concern, but I have long since accepted the fact that if Piccolo dies, I must go as well," he responded sagely. "I am happy to have spent this long, full life on Earth and with you by my side dear friend."
King Kai's Planet
A few months had passed since the day the Earth raised saiyan journeyed to his planet at the end of Snake Way for training in hopes of gaining the skills and abilities necessary to defeat the saiyans. Due to the difference in gravity, it took the man some time to become adjusted as his first test was to chase after the every speedy monkey named Bubbles. After many failed attempts, he caught the chimpanzee only to move up to chasing the flying cricket Gregory with a weighted mallet, which proved to be just as difficult, if not more, but he succeeded in time to learn the Kaio-ken and Spirit Bomb. From this short period of time, he knew Goku was a force to be reckoned with, "Earth is in great hands. The disadvantages only push him to greater lengths so he can achieve his goal. He will surely be able to defeat the saiyans now."
"How was that King Kai?" Goku questioned, after successfully performing the Spirit Bomb.
"That was splendid!" the deity commended happily. His features grew serious in a moment's time as he raised a finger of warning. "Remember Goku, the Spirit Bomb will be much larger in size as there is more energy to gather from the Earth, so I guarantee you it will be five times larger than normal. However, you must use it wisely; otherwise, the Earth will shatter and blow up! You must be careful. You got all that?"
"Right, I got ya' King Kai," the saiyan responded confidently "I'll only use it when I need to."
King Kai was relieved to hear those words come from his student's mouth, "Now that you have completed my training, I have a reward for you."
Goku's eyes immediately beamed and his child-like excitement burst from the seams, "Really! What is it?"
"You'll see," he answered with a wave of his finger. His antenna sparked lightly and in a flash, Goku's tattered orange and blue gi was replaced with a fresh new uniform with one difference: Kai Kai's symbol was placed on the back, indicating the saiyan had trained under the northern god.
The Earth-raised saiyan examined his new, yet old, clothing in a delighted manner, "Wow, thanks a lot King Kai! These are my old symbols on the front and back right?"
"The one on the front is," the kai stated in a matter of fact tone. Then he pointed his finger to the back with a smile, "However, this one here is mine. I thought I'd add a special touch to it since you've worked so hard."
"Hahaha, I really appreciate it," Goku stated gratefully.
"Believe me, it was my pleasure," he answered with equal enthusiasm. "And I'm sure you'll be able to beat those saiyans when they arrive."
The moment he uttered those words, a light bulb went off over his head and his proud demeanor shifted into one of horror and shock, "Oh no! This is bad!"
"What's wrong King Kai?!" his student questioned frantically.
"I forgot to account for the time it would take for you to return to the beginning of Snake Way!" he nearly shouted. "Even with your training, it'll still take some time to get there!"
The father's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, "Are you serious?! You can't teleport me there or something! This isn't good! Everyone's gonna die if I don't make it back in time!"
"Let's calm down Goku," the deity said with after a moment's hesitation. "I'll check where they are to see ensure how much time you're gonna be working with. We could be making a large fuss over nothing."
King Kai's antenna twitched once more as he extended his senses to the Solar System. He saw the large planets and the balls of gases known as stars for all the glory as if he were in a space ship traveling through the endless vacuum until he spotted what he was looking for: two identical space pods. In one, he saw a small flame haired individual sporting a red scouter over his eye and body armor similar to Raditz, though colored in white and brown with a blue body suit. In the other, was a larger, bald man bearing a blue scouter and armor colored in blue and brown. The only two things had in common were the brown monkey like tails wrapped around their waists and the fact they were sound asleep.
"Yeah…that's them alright," he announced to Goku. A sweat drop fell down the sides of his face, "And their definitely a day away from your planet. At your current level, I'd imagine it would take 2 to 3 days to get back."
"No way, that's still too long!" the saiyan yelled in annoyance. "Isn't there a faster way?!"
"…Wait a moment, I sense something else…" he paused, detecting several fearsome energy signatures.
The Earth raised saiyan tilted his head in confusion, "What is it King Kai? Are there more saiyans?"
He focused in on a ship of greater proportions, meant to transport multiple passengers. As he delved into the central regions of the ship, his sweating increased as the highest of them all felt the most heinous and one he was strikingly familiar with. In a matter of seconds, the image of the figure faded into his mind and immediately broke his connection from sheer horror as he became frighteningly paralyzed.
"Um…King Kai?" his pupil called guardedly.
"No…it can't be!" the martial arts master shouted. He took a step back from his position, surprised-borderline panicking, at the turn of events. "It's…It's FRRIEEZZA!"
Goku raised a questioning eyebrow, "Frieza, who's that?"
Yet again, his words fell on deaf ears as the master was dumbfounded, "How…why is he going to Earth? This is insane! Goku doesn't stand a chance against him and his army! The entire planet is going to be wiped out!"
"Is everything alright?" his student asked once more.
"No…it's not, but place your hand on my back to contact your friends so they can wish you back," his voice deathly calm.
Mt. Paozu
Son Chi-Chi, loving wife to Goku and mother of Gohan, attended to her daily chores as her father, the Ox King, sat at the kitchen table. A somber expression was spread across her facial features as she placed a final dish in the rack so it could dry and eventually be put away. She stared through the window into distance where her only child was most likely located.
"Is something the matter sweet pea?" Ox King inquired.
A sigh escaped her lips as she prepared to answer, "I'm alright dad. I hope Gohan is alright because I have this nagging feeling that something terrible is going to happen soon. Honestly, how could they allow that monster take my little boy away from me. He should be in his room studying and not out there trying to fight battles. He's much too young for that."
"I can understand how you feel Chi-Chi, but I'm sure he's fine," her father answered confidently. ""Remember, he is Goku's son too."
"I know that, but I don't want him getting hurt," she huffed angrily. Her anger faded away just as quickly as it came, now staring dreamily into the ceiling. "All I wanted for Gohan was to have a normal childhood and become a great scholar, that way he could make something of himself. Then, he'd meet a nice girlfriend so they can give me grandchildren."
A sweat drop clung to the back of his head, chuckling in amusement, "Uh Chi-Chi, you might be thinking a little too far ahead. He's only four."
"I know how old he is dad, but he needs to have his future planned in advance," she stated knowingly. "It'll help in the case something happens and needs to make some changes."
"If you say so pumpkin," her father commented. Suddenly, he raised an eyebrow while he looked past his daughter in confusion. The sky grew unnaturally dark in a moment's time as clouds gathered together with streaks of lightening plagued the land, "What's going on outside?"
King Kai's Planet
The earthling saiyan stared at his mentor in disbelief, "What did you just say? Someone named Frieza is coming there too?"
King Kai used his white handkerchief to wipe away the beads of sweat that rolled to the insides of his glasses. The moment he covered his eyes with the dark pair of corrective lenses, he turned his back to his student where he placed his hands, one over the other. He exhaled a large amount of breathe he did not realize he had not been holding and proceeded to answer, "Yes, and believe me, this is no laughing manner. He is undeniably the strongest, fiercest, and most evil beings in the universe. He has countless numbers of soldiers in his employ from different planets and those who are not in his army simply reside on their planet, but have sworn their loyalty to him and if not, they're destroyed, which included the saiyans before they were wiped out."
The thought of having a stronger opponent when he returned home thrilled Goku, but he also felt extremely terrified, "Chi-Chi...Gohan...Ox King...Bulma...Krillin...Master Roshi...and the others...they're all in danger. Can I make it back in time before anything happens?"
"Only to make matters worse, he has brought a small part of his army as well," he gravely added. He truly felt sorry for the peaceful world because despite any precautions made prior to the arrival, in the best case scenario, the human race would live, but they'll be required to serve under his rule. In fact, that scenario was actually really generous; the tyrant would probably blow up the planet just for the fun of it. However, it was plainly obvious that even the most skilled of martial artist could not handle the sheer magnitude of power emanating from the weakest of his soldiers, so to fight Frieza was asking for a death wish.
Goku remained silent for a moment before he responded, "Well, then I guess the only choice is to-"
The deity snapped his body around with an authoritative force, shocking the saiyan greatly, "YOU ARE TO NOT FIGHT FRIEZA OR ANY OF HIS HENCHMEN UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES! YOU MUST AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!"
"But what if-" he proceeded, only to be silenced again.
A tick mark had formed on the side of his head, "NOOOO! You CAN NOT and WILL NOT fight them! Frieza is the last person who you want to anger! Should you incur his wrath, it will spell trouble for not only your planet, but the entire universe! If your friends are in trouble take them and run away! No one, not even you can stop him! You'll only be fighting a losing battle! Listen and do as I say! DO YOU HEAR ME?!"
"Can I at least get a look at the guy?" he asked with a child-like curiosity.
"How can someone be so thickheaded?" the blue god questioned to himself. It had only served to infuriate him even further, "NO! You cannot get a good look at the guy! In fact, if you happen to come across him, don't even THINK about making eye contact! Just get your friends and go! It's not worth it!"
"Well what if-"he was silenced by the god.
"I AM THE KING KAAII!" the martial arts master shouted. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"
The Earth-raised saiyan winced as he waved his hands in defense, "Y-yeah, I gotcha' loud and clear King Kai. Is it okay if I warn the others? It's best that they know about this too."
King Kai glanced above the man's head, noticing the lack of the golden halo, meaning his friends were successful in reviving him. He did not want to send his student back to a doomed planet, but he knew Goku would never forgive himself if he didn't at least try to help save his friends, family, and the people of Earth. He turned his back once again and motioned for the young hero to place his hand there once more, "Fine, but make it quick. Your halo is gone so you'll have to get a move on very soon." As he felt the man's hand touch his body, only one though ran through his mind, "I'm sorry Goku, but it may already too late."
Earth
Krillin groaned as he shook his head in disbelief, "As if things weren't bad enough as it is with the saiyans. They came a whole month early and now we have to worry about an entire army? This is just way too much! How do we always manage to attract so much trouble?"
Tien and Chiaotzu remained for moments after their friend had ended the communication link. Tien could only sigh as he firmed his expression, "It appears that we have our work cut out for us tomorrow. I hadn't expected them to arrive so soon."
"Yeah, but I'm sure we'll beat them," Chiaotzu stated confidently. "We worked really hard over the past few months."
The cyclops nodded in agreement, "We have, but as it has always been, our primary focus is the saiyans. If we encounter this Frieza character, then it sounds best that we escape as soon as possible. It's no point in getting ourselves killed without the proper training."
"Man, is Goku serious?!" Yamcha yelled to no one. "There's no way we can deal with an entire army and the saiyans at the same time. I'd like to give this Frieza guy a piece of my mind for coming to Earth unannounced.
Piccolo kept a calm front though beneath the frustrated sigh and usual cold exterior, he was riveted, "Damn it! Just our luck! None of us are prepared, especially the kid; he's barely able to stand against the saiyans alone as it is. They're still our first priority, but there's no way in hell we'll be able to counter their attack if they appear during the battle. Even with his training in Other World, not even Goku will be able to stand a chance."
"Um…Mr. Piccolo?" Gohan called nervously. Despite the fact his mentor had turned his back to him, he felt the air around them become tense. It could only mean that something unexpected had occurred, "Is everything alright?"
The Namekian warrior glanced at the boy through the corner of his eye, "Change of plans kid. The saiyans will be here tomorrow."
"What? They weren't supposed to be here until next month," he commented in surprise. "Why are they here so early?"
"Your guess is good as mine kid, but that's not even the half of it," Piccolo added evenly. "Apparently, an alien known as Frieza is coming here as well and bringing an army."
The half-breed fell backwards to the ground with only his left hand holding him up and stared back at his teacher sacredly, "R-Really? I-I'm not s-strong enough to f-fight an a-army!"
"Tch, none is but we'll have to be ready if they attack," he all but yelled. The Namek was highly unnerved, that he could not deny and he couldn't blame the son of his arch enemy for being terrified. It was only natural for a child his age to show his true emotions when things turned for the worst. "Our primary focus is still the saiyans and once that's over, we'll deal with this Frieza character. However, should they interrupt our battle, be prepared to escape. We'll only lose our lives if we attempt to fight them."
Yajirobe stuffed his mouth with full, perturbed by Goku's new warning, "I already had my doubts about fighting the saiyans, but if he thinks I'm bouta' fight a whole army, then he got another thin comin'. Ain't no way I'm gonna risk my life to fight some evil alien warlord. Sorry Goku, but you guys are on your own."
That night, the Z-Fighters slept, wondered, and traveled, but none could shake the anxiety they felt about the morning to come now associated with the risk of an invasion of an alien army.
Age 762 November 3
The sun had long since risen above the planet. The inhabitants of the northern hemisphere used this as their cue to begin their day anew. The citizens filled the streets as pedestrians on the sidewalks or drivers in their hover vehicles as adults headed to work and dropped their children off to the local schools should they have any. In fact, they were all ignorant of the approaching danger, except for those in North City.
Two circular pods burst into the planet's atmosphere at jet speed; the gravity forcing the transport devices to the surface. As they raced to their destination and came into view of the humans, many of them stopped in their tracks to see gawk in awe at the mysterious objects.
"Mommy, look at the planes," a blonde little girl sporting a pink frilly dress pointed happily.
Her mother, donning a black business suit, tapped her chin with a finger curiously, "Hmm, I don't think those are planes sweetie. It's probably something a company is testing."
"Those can't be spaceships!" a teenage boy commented incredulously to a friend.
The pods narrowly swept directly over the city and landed right at the city limits with a frightening crash, forming two large craters. Those who witnessed the pods reach their destination halted in their tracks and hurriedly ran or drove to the site, but stayed a considerable distance from the craters for safety reasons. Questions filled the air as a curious yet alarmed crowd gathered at the edge of the city.
"What are those things?"
"It's aliens! It has to be aliens!"
"I don't like the look of this! Maybe it's best we get outta here honey!"
"Look they're coming out!"
All around the world, as they traveled to meet Piccolo and Gohan, the Z-Fighters sensed the terrible power of the saiyans. The gap in power was equally fearsome to the saiyans in the Pendulum Room on Kami's Lookout. Like they thought, individually they did not stand a chance, but the combined efforts could prove to lead them to victory.
Just as the spectators said, the pod doors opened, revealing the two occupants: Prince Vegeta and Nappa just before they exited the cramped space. The two quietly lifted into the air, only to land on the paved road that remained from the crash. They observed their surroundings, bearing the evil grins on their lips.
"So, this is planet Earth," Vegeta folded his arms over his chest. "I'm quite surprised that it's so peaceful here."
"Nappa chuckled deviously in agreement, "Heh heh heh, yeah Vegeta, but before we start with the sight-seeing, how about we say hello to the locals?"
The prince side-glanced his comrade with a smirk that never betrayed the intended actions to come, "Sure, go ahead, but go easy on them."
Elsewhere
Finally, after a few months of dreadful traveling through the dark abyss of space, they were finally reaching Earth. His battle ship recently entered the atmosphere of the blue and green planet and soon it would be time for him to begin his mission for eternal life. The size of the planet surprised the tyrant slightly as he wasn't expecting such a feeble race to inhabit a large space. This would only cause his search to become unnecessarily time consuming, but he was quite sure his soldiers will be of great help.
"Lord Frieza, how do you suggest we find evidence of these Dragon Balls?" Dodoria inquired, as if reading Frieza's mind.
"Since Raditz's executioner is one of their strongest warriors," the ruthless tyrant started with an evil gleam in his eye, "at least by their standards, I want all of their warriors scoped out and brought to the ship. They may hold even the slightest bit of knowledge of the objects. Once their usefulness of that precise subject is fulfilled, I may recruit them into the organization. I am running quite low on competent subordinates."
His two henchmen grinned at his statement. Most of the soldiers in Frieza's part of the PTO were frightful of their leader to the point where they would stumble over the simplest of tasks. As a result, he would end their life abruptly and fill the spot with another soldier in the department. It was quite funny, especially since it was them. Only a fool would show fear in the presence of Frieza. Maybe the Earthlings would be intelligent enough to complete a task without ruining it.
"Who do you suggest I organize for this assignment?" Zarbon questioned, ready to begin the duty.
Frieza smirked deviously and glanced back to his two most loyal henchmen, "With your inclusion as well as Dodoria's, any elite or mid-level soldier aboard the ship. I don't want these pitiful Earthlings to believe we have come peacefully. Should they resist surrendering peacefully, don't go too easy on them, but don't kill them. They must learn exactly who they are dealing with."
"You hear that Dodoria? You can't kill the potential servants," the blue male said in an amused tone.
The spiked pink male chuckled darkly at the accusation his cohort was hinting at, "I'll be sure they don't keel over after the first punch."
Frieza knew just how ruthless his soldiers could get when assigned on a hunting mission, but he didn't want his targets dead so early on. They would provide him with the important details he desired to know.
Before long, the ship descended into the skies of the peaceful Earth, allowing for a better view of the landscape of the area they were above. Due to the positions of the windows and the cruiser itself, they could only see a portion of a city stretching for miles.
Down below in one of the many cities of Earth, Orange Star City to be exact, the citizens watched in awe as a space cruiser gradually flew from one side of the city to the other. Pedestrians that filled the sidewalks completely stopped in their tracks just to stare, or take pictures, videos, and call others.
"Mommy, what is that thing?" a little girl questioned with excitement in her voice.
The girl's mother started to push her daughter towards the door of the house, "I don't know sweetie, but we need to get inside where it's safe."
Everyone in their homes, corporation buildings, and the like, gazed upon it in shock, unable to comprehend the situation. Quickly, they shut the blinds and closed all windows in fear they were about to be attacked. Those who were occupying their vehicle stuck their heads out the windows and curiosity getting the best of them, decided to follow behind the ship in hopes of discovering the reason behind its sudden appearance. They only hoped it was to promote space travel by one of the large companies such as Capsule Corp.
Frieza waited patiently as the ship finished its course over the city and continued to fly until reaching a long stretch of vacant land. The cruiser proceeded to land, but not before the many legs of the ship appeared to allow for ease of access to the ship's door. When the ship grew eerily quiet, only the tyrant's voice could be heard, "A new era is about to begin!"
A/N: And that is the end of the new first chapter of Ascent! I hope you guys all enjoyed the chapter because I sure did as I wrote it. For those of you who read it previously, I'm sure you have noticed the changes I have made. I prefer this approach better because now the Z-Fighters have to fight off two different forces (or so they think). Anyway, I will make it an effort to post every Tuesday or every other Tuesday so that we may get through the story at a reasonable pace. I have a lot planned for this story so I won't give up on it at all. Be sure to send in your reviews so I can know what you guys think.
Until Next Time!
