Nightwing sat at his computer, tapping the desk in deep thought. He sighed, looking inside his head for an explanation for everything happening.

A swoosh of the door could be heard as Miss Martian entered the room.

"They all seem to have powers. That one connection," Nightwing rubbed his chin. He spun his chair, facing Miss Martian.

"How is our visitor?"

"Shes still unconscious," Miss Martian.

"That thing... It somehow got into her head," Nightwing said. "It was like a remote control,"

Miss Martian nodded.

"Do you think, what happened to her," Miss Martian started. "Will happen to the others?"

"I can't say," Nightwing said, "But all the missing girls seem to have some things in common; They all have powers. It's likely."

"Do you think whoever took may be harvesting their powers?"

"I won't jump to any conclusions," Nightwing continued. "I can only guess; But I don't think so"

Miss Martian looked towards the door.

"I'm going to check on Starfire,"

Nightwing was once again left alone with his thoughts.

" Harvesting? Maybe."

"Slave trade? Probably not."

"An army...?"

Beep Beep!

The sound of an alert tore him away from his thoughts. He looked at his computer, the screen flashing red.

He reached over to his communicator.

"Aqualad, the satellite is picking up a disturbance in Jump City," Nightwing explained.

" Your close. How fast can you get there?"

"Soon. Blue and Impulse are closer; and last I heard, Superboy should be with them,"

Nightwing could hear him through the communicator.

"Send them first. I'll meet up."

"Got it,"

Terra sat quietly on a chair, waiting for Robin or Kid Flash to return. She looked around quietly, taping her fingers on her knees anxiously.

The atmosphere of the room was intense. The walls were a grey metal, and only one door hung to the walls; no windows, no anything. It was hard to believe they were still in the city.

Swoosh

Robin returned to the room, sitting on the other side of the table where Terra sat.

"I want you to go over everything in detail," He pulled out an electronic recorder.

"Like what?"

"Tell us about you and Jillian," Robin explained. "Tell us everything you remember about that day,"

Terra nodded, but before she could begin, a boy in blue armor entered the room.

"Nightwing messaged me, "He explained, "Something about a disturbance Jump City. Not too far from here,"

"Take Impulse," Robin said. "I need to stay with Terra,"

Impulse got up from his seat, following Blue. His communicator went off again, and Nightwing reappeared.

"It's just me and and Impulse right now," Blue responded. "Robins in the middle of something. But we'll be right there,"

Nightwing narrowed his brow.

Where was Superboy?

"Fine."

Impulse and Blue stood as they looked around for the disturbance.

"It's quiet," Blue commented.

Blue turned his communicator back on.

"Nightwing, there doesn't seem to be anyone-,"

Blue was interrupted as Impulse was hurled into him.

The two both slid into the road, before a car stopped their trail.

"Blue Beetle?! Do you read me?!"

Blue looked over to his communicator on the road; it had fallen out of his hands. He looked over, shaking impulse off.

"What was that?"

"I didn't even notice," Impulse moaned as he held his side, "They came out of nowhere,"

"Aqualad?, Do you read me?" Nightwing said into the computer microphone.

"I read you,"

"I need you over to Blue and Impulse's location, fast," Nightwing explained, "Communications been cut off,"

"I'm on my way,"

"Hurry,"

Nightwing looked back up the computer, before red flashing appeared on the screen.

"Your friends are in the 'trouble'?"

Nightwing turned to see a tall, tan figure in the doorway.

"I assume they are just having difficulty with a criminal," Nightwing tried to persuade her. "It's most likely under control."

"I see," Starfire nodded, "I came to tell you; after you destroyed that device, my memories have started becoming clearer-"

"Nightwing!"

The computer blinked red as an incoming call from Blue Beetle could be heard.

"We've got a situation here," Blue could barely be heard, static disturbing the signal.

"Blue do you read?!" Nightwing said into the microphone, hoping to reach his teammate.

"Nightwing..." Blue's voice was barely audible.

"It's Jillian."

"Jillian?" Starfire raised a brow.

"One of the missing girls," Nightwing said. "But why would she-"

Starfire's face turned serious, cold even, as she looked over the computer.

"Your friends. They are there?"

She pointed to the map on the screen.

"Yes, Jump City. It's-"

Starfire rushed out the door, leaving Nightwing behind in the computer room.

"Jillian? Jillian Chow?" Blue looked cautiously at the girl.

Impulse looked over at Blue.

"Shes not moving,"

The girl stood in the road, looking down at her feet. Her outfit was different then what she had been wearing when she went missing; No longer sweater and jeans, but a dark green and yellow suit, and what looked like battle armor.

Blue walked closer to the girl, cautious.

"Jillian?"

Jillian whipped around, grabbed blue by the arm. She pulled him in, before sending him away with a heavy punch to the gut.

"That's not her name,"

The boys watched as another girl appeared from the distance.

Her skin was purple and freckled, along with a tail that flicked viciously in anticipation. Her smile revealed sharp teeth, and her black hair was in cornrows, which became a single braided ponytail. She wore a white leotard under her armor, golden and heavily spiked.

"I see you've mistaken my friend Rumble for someone else."

Both girls smiled as Jillian jumped to her purple girl's side.

"And you?" Blue Beetle narrowed his eyes.

"They call me Stabetha,"

Both girls grinned. Similarly, the sclera* of their eyes were no longer white, but a menacing pitch black

"Master sent us on a mission," Stabetha announced.

"But she always appreciates souvenirs," She said as she unclenched her fists, long, blade like claws shooting out from her fingertips.

The boys braced themselves as the two girls suddenly attacked. Impulse broke off, facing Jillian as Blue dealt with the purple girl.

Blue barely dodged a nail as he danced around his opponent, trying to avoid her. He could feel himself becoming overwhelmed.

He punched her, fazing her withe a punch to the chin.

"I don't want to hurt-"

A kick to the face stopped him in his tracks as he stumbled back. She grabbed him as he fell, dealing him heavy headbutt, letting him crumple to the ground. He looked over as he fell seeing Impulse trying to defend himself from a barrage of rocks.

He looked up to see Stabetha leaning above him, seconds away from impaling him with her claws.

Whoosh

In a flash, Stabetha was thrown across the street, hitting the side of building. He struggled he got up, his head spinning.

Impulse was quickly at his side, kneeling to help him up. He pulled Blue's arm around his shoulders, and the both watched as an orange girl floated above them.

"Starfire?"

"I owe you my life," She said, her eyes forward, watching her enemy rise from the rubble. "Now, let me return 'the Favor'."

"Well well well,"

Starfire's eyes locked on the purple girl.

"Stabetha,"

"So you do remember," Stabetha smiled. "Pleasure to see you too U.V,"

"The pleasure is not returned,"

"But your head will be,"

Stabetha jumped, aiming at Starfire. Starfire jumped back swiftly, avoiding her claws. Green bolts flew from her hands, Stabetha flipping back.

Blue and Impulse watched as the two girls fought intensely; bolts and nails flew at each girl, both intent on destroying the other.

Jillian jumped, attacking the tameranian. Starfire fell back as a large piece of earth smashed her side, sending down onto the pavement of the road.

Jillian jumped, sharp stones in her hand, ready for the kill. Starfire rolled onto her back, sending the girl away with a kick.

Jillian slid across the ground, wiping blood from her chin. She wobbled, but got up steadily and charged again.

Starfire charged too, shooting starbolts at the girl. She grabbed her, attempting to throw her, when suddenly felt a sharp pain on her side as she was clawed by Stabetha.

Starfire let the girl go, facing her other opponent. She punched, only to be grabbed by the wrist of her attacker and slammed into the ground.

"Looks like someones lost their edge," Stabetha smiled. "Too bad. You used to be so talented-"

Jillian fell to the ground beside her. Stabetha looked over to a young man standing in the distance.

"Aqualad!" Impulse called.

Stabetha didn't have anytime to focus on her opponent before she was shot away by a starbolt.

Starfire looked over to Aqualad.

"Do what you will to the Jillian," She turned to her purple skinned girl,

"This opponent is mine,"

She flew, hurling green energy bolts at Stabetha, who did her best to avoid them. The two fought in a fury of bolts and claws, both attempting to end the other.

Aqualad slashed at Jillian with his water blades; she fought viciously, throwing punches, her fists covered in rock gauntlets.

Starfire grabbed Stabetha by the tail, whipping her around into a building. Se watched as her enemy crumpled to the ground, grabbing her throat before she had a chance to recover.

"Tell Granny I send my regards,"

The girl snarled as Starfire picked up a sharp piece of debris, impaling the side of Stabetha.

"Argh-!"

Jillian turned, and quickly retreated to her comrade. Stabetha crumpled to the ground, Jillian holding her side. Starfire watched as jillian pressed a button in Stabetha's belt, and the two teleported away.

Aqualad watched as Starfire wiped blood off the side of her face, before flying away.

He turned to Blue and Impulse.

"Lets get to the Tower. Nightwing will want to hear about this,"

"she killed her,"

Nightwing, Aqualad, Blue and Impulse stood in the control room, discussing what had happened earlier.

"Housing an unfamiliar and no qualms to kill is very dangerous on our part," Aqualad narrowed his eyes.

"Their battle was major intense," Impulse explained. "They had it out for each other,"

Aqualad glanced over at the two, silencing them.

"M'gann is escorting her here. We'll discuss it with her,"

They watched as the martian and the tameranian entered the room. Blue and Impulse stiffened slightly as Starfire and Nightwing stared at one another.

"I don't know what goes on on you planet, but here, we don't kill," He narrowed his eyes. "The justice league doesn't kill."

Starfire furrowed her brows.

"Then you wish to die?"

Blue and Impulse looked at each other as Starfire turned to them.

"That girl, Jillian. She is no longer Jillian. That name means nothing to her now," she explained.

She turned back to Nightwing and Aqualad.

"These girls are not like the criminal on your planet," She said. "They do not wish for money, or power,"

"what do they want, then?" Aqualad questioned.

"To kill,"

Aqualad looked slightly surprised.

"These girl are taken by Granny Goodness," Starfire explained. "She abducts them from their home planets; like a collector. They are then brainwashed and tortured; they become some of the most vicious warriors, fanatically loyal to their master,"

"And you...?"

"I was born in a tameranian noble family. Members of the noble houses compete in battle for rulership," She said. "It was a few moons before tournament that our planet entered a war with the neighboring planet, the Citadel. Our planet was heavily attacked and left in a state of almost ruin."

Miss Martian placed a hand on the girls shoulder, comforting her.

"I was separated from my family. Whilst I roamed, looking for more Tameranian refugees, I stumbled across the enemies. With my training, I defeated them easily; and attracted the attention of Granny. What I thought were slave catchers were actually her furies. I was defeated and kidnapped, taken to become another,"

"What then?" Nightwing crossed his arms. "from the way you talk, I doubt you were able to fight to freedom,"

"You are correct," Starfire nodded. "Whilst we traveled, we came across the reach leaving your planet. I, along with others, were sent to destroy and collect anything valuable they might've had. We found out they had extensive data on earth,"

"As we got closer, the reach informants attacked," Starfire continued. "We were small in numbers; Just a few fellow furies and I. During that time, I vaguely remember getting hit by sort of beam; and my brainwashing had been intercepted. I struggled to escape, but I did, and landed on earth."

"What about the missing girls from here?"

Starfire exhaled.

"I am exactly sure what happened, but the other furies must've gotten that data," She guessed. "And when Granny saw earth had a variety of different species,"

"She saw new recruits," Aqualad finished her sentence.

"That is correct,"

"So Wonder Girl and Venus," Nightwing said. "Are being trained as furies?"

"Most likely," Starfire nodded. "For every new solar system discovered, Granny collects a new furies," Starfire said.

"They are brainwashed into new identities, with new names," She said. "Eventually, they forget who they were in the first place,"

"That girl, Stabetha was it?" Blue said. "She called you U.V. Was that your name?"

"Yes"

"What did it stand for?"

"Ultra violence,"

Blue went silent along with the rest.

...

"Why'd you kill her?" Aqualad asked. "Stabetha, was it?"

"I did not," Starfire corrected. "We are trained to fight with no hesitation or feelings. You either win or die. But make no mistake; they, your friends, will not hesitate to kill you. The only thing they care about is killing for the master."

"So what your saying is that they have been abducted to serve a your master, Granny Goodness?"

"No. Granny is not our master. Merely our mentor," Starfire explained. "She too obeys our master without fault,"

"Then who is your master?"

"Lord Darksied,"

"Who... who is she?"

Superboy stared in awe at the giant pod in front of him. He could feel the heat radiating off the pod as she stepped closer, placing a hand out.

"It may feel warm on the outside," Dubbilex said, "But on the inside, it's like a Volcano,"

"How do I talk to 'her'?" He asked.

Dubbilex put his handout for him to grab.

"Take my hand," He said. "And close your eyes,"

Superboy looked hesitant, before nodding and taking his hand. He closed his eyes, and for a moment, everything was dark.

Suddenly everything became a bright yellow was he opened his eyes. He looked around, at a vast infinite yellow plain. He floated there, unsure what to do.

"Hello?" He called out, hoping someone would answer.

"Hello there,"

It had been a voice he had heard before. The one in his dreams.

He turned around, facing the owner of the voice.

"You..."

Before him stood a woman. Tall, with long, fiery orange hair that went past her shoulders. She smiled at him, bright blue eyes shining.

"I've waited so long to meet you," The woman said.

"Your the woman from my dreams," Superboy exclaimed. "Who are you?"

"Name is Claire," The woman reached out her hand to Superboy.

"Claire Selton,"

"My furies!"

A large, hulking woman stood over a small arena, watching her warriors assemble.

Five girls stood in the middle, watching as their leader descended from the balcony. Arms cross, they all stood stiff like boards.

"Your conditioning has proven most effective," The woman laughed menacingly. "You have all made Granny very proud,"

She started to walked down the line.

"My sweet little Rumble, you did very well on your first day out,"

Beside Jillian stood a girl in black, grey and purple, with a scarf around her head.

"You train quick and well, Whiplash," Granny smiled. "I'm pleased with your progress,"

Beside her stood a tall, dark girl with braided hair.

"Miss Appear," Granny smiled, "You also show much progress,"

She pat the girls head.

Again, she moved on the next girl. she bore orange black and silver, and a long red scarf around her neck.

"Eris," She cupped orange haired girl's face. "You've shown brutality in your fighting. I like it," she smiled.

She finally reached the last girl. She grabbed both the girls shoulders, looking pleased.

"And you Drusilla," She patted the girls shoulders. "You've great strength and power. A fine leader you shall be."

"What about me?"

Granny turned to the purple skinned girl behind her, a menacing grin.

"What about you?"

"I can still be of service to you, Granny," Stabetha got on one knee, bowing. "I wish to serve our Master,"

Granny lifted the girls chin.

"Of coarse my child," She grinned menacingly.

"You'll make excellent practice,"
