DarkFoxKit: Whew, it's been a while, but not too long. Hey readers, and we're back with more updates!

Key2DestNE: That's right, we are- and with new adventures, too! *grins* Let's just hope that things stay this way- I'm sure you all want more updates!

DarkFoxKit: Things are kinda slow with Pokemon for us right now, so don't expect fast updates for a while, but we still try to stay as constant as we can. It was because of the original Child of Mew that we were brought together in the first place, after all. *puts arm around Key's shoulder* So we kinda owe it.

Key2DestNE: No kidding! *chuckles* Anyways, I doubt you wanna hear our life stories- so on with the story! We do not own Pokemon in any way, shape, or sense of the word. All I have are the games and a few cards!

DarkFoxKit: Same here.

Chapter 22: A Paradise for Pokemon

Ash, Storm the Pikachu, Nya the Mew-disguised-Meowth and Blue were walking on the path, going into a deep jungle-like forest. It's been quite a few days since they left the Pokemon ranch and the race behind, and Ash was getting quite anxious to start training a main six team- he hadn't spoken to Blue or Storm about it yet, but he had realized it was rather hard to keep track of all his current Pokemon, and thought it might be best if he just focused on a main six team. Mew knew what was going on in his head, but this was something her child needed to decide for himself, and she knew it.

"Let's take a break, you look like you're about to collapse." Blue said to Ash, giving a small frown.

"Yeah… I am pretty tired." Ash said with a sigh as the two Trainers sat down on some stones.

Blue frowned curiously, glancing over at Ash. "...So if I may ask… what's on your mind? You look like you're thinking a lot right now…"

"Well…" Ash hesitated as Storm looked curiously up at him. "You know that to me all my Pokemon are my friends, right? And as their friend, I like to keep in touch with them and always have time for them… but… as a Trainer… it's complicated to keep track of them all at once, and that might be why I'm starting to fall behind most Trainers that have five or six badges. I'm spreading myself too thin." Even with Memma's games, it takes too much and too long to train all of them up- I'm starting to see why Trainers usually can only carry six Pokemon to train at a time.

"..." Blue frowned to himself, crossing his arms. "...I see- so you're starting to feel the strain huh?" Ash nodded and Blue sighed, shrugging. "Yeah, there's a reason why the rules say Trainers can only carry up to six Pokemon. Instead of trying to train each of them individually, it would be smart if you start training them by teams instead."

"By teams?" Ash asked, blinking in confusion. "What do you mean, Blue?"

The former Kanto champion nodded, uncrossing his arms and looking over at Ash. "Your style had been to switch in and out different Pokemon, you don't have a single team- and this causes you to spread yourself way too thin. A wise Trainer would train each of them by teams- they think of their types, what's their strength and weaknesses, and set them up on each team accordingly. For example, you have a Charmander and a Vulpix… Both are Fire types, it would be unwise to have both in the same team as you would be vulnerable to Water, Rock and Ground types."

Ash nodded slowly, a small glimmer of understanding emerging in his eyes. "I… think I get it now- so don't put Pokemon of the same type on the same team."

"Since you wanted to be able to train your Pokemon, you should think about making a primary and secondary team- it's always good to have a back-up team ready." Blue said, nodding. "Your primary team will be the ones you mainly focus to train with, while your secondary team will be trained when you have spare time."

Ash nodded again, thinking about it and giving a small grin. "That makes perfect sense- so I just have to think about what types of Pokemon I should set up my team for." He looked down at the Pikachu, his first partner, crossing his arms. "There's no question I'm keeping Storm with me, so that's already one Electric type."

Blue nodded, gesturing to Storm. "Now build a team around the Electric type that can handle its weakness, which is Ground, like a Grass or Water type."

Ash nodded, shrugging. "Well, I'd say it's only fair if I train the original three starters together, like Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle."

"Good, that's already four Pokemon, now what about the other two?" Blue asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ash sighed, he had a lot of great Pokemon… It'd be difficult to choose only two, but he had to think hard on types- what else would compliment Electric, Grass, Fire and Water? A Normal type could come in handy, like Dexter the Porygon or Remi the Rattata, or maybe a Fairy type even like Luna the Clefairy. But after a few moments, Ash decided he might go with one Normal type in particular. "...I'll have Eon as one of my other two."

"Okay, so you've got a pretty well balanced team so far, so who's your last one for your primary team?" Blue asked curiously.

Ash crossed his arms, not sure about that- he also had Spooks, which was a special Gastly from the spirit realm itself. However, Spooks was already pretty high leveled and don't need a lot of training, and as much as he liked Dexter and Remi, he didn't need another Normal type… Maybe he could use something with a lot of power like a Psychic or Dragon type, but he didn't have either of those types on him, Mew is only there to help him out and not a part of his captured Pokemon.

There was Trixie the Zorua, but he didn't feel comfortable using her too much since a rare, out of region Pokemon like her would catch a lot of unwanted attention- especially from Team Rocket, and he didn't need that now. "Gee… I don't know…"

Blue waited for a few moments for Ash to think some more, before he finally spoke up. "Well, why not simply trade out Pokemon for that spot for a bit until you know the one you want to keep on your team for good?"

"I guess so, yeah…" Ash said, still thinking. "Although, if anyone has a strong Dragon type, I could be in trouble. Kooper, my Squirtle, doesn't have any ice type moves to counter them- so maybe something that's good against Dragon is what I need."

"Dragon types, huh? Those are really rare in any region, especially here in Kanto." Blue said thoughtfully. "Technically you already have your Clefairy, so that would be a good defense- for the moment, if nothing else…"

"That's true, Dragon types are weak to Fairy." Ash said with a nod and a smile.

"Um… Ash."Storm began speaking up, frowning slightly as he glanced around. "Is it just me or do you hear something?"

Ash blinked and turned, "What do you hear?"

Storm's ears twitched as he answered, "It sounds like a human kid… and… a bunch of… Kangaskhan?"

Blue frowned before standing up, inching his hand towards one of his Poke Balls. "Something's not right…"

Ash stood up too, before he noticed a Chansey poking its head out of some bushes, and he whistled lowly in awe. "Whoa! A wild Chansey! I've never seen a wild Chansey before!"

Blue frowned curiously before his eyes widened in shock. "Hold on, Ash- that isn't a normal Chansey!"

"Huh?" Ash blinked, glancing back in confusion. "It's not?" He then turned around… and nearly had his eye poked out by the barrel of a gun aimed right at his head! "W-wah! What the?"

When the raven-haired boy glanced down the barrel of the gun, he blinked slowly, seeing… Officer Jenny in a Chansey hat? The woman still held the gun, apparently a rifle, at Ash's head as she asked suspiciously, "What are you two doing here? This is a Pokemon Preservation Area- it's forbidden to catch wild Pokemon here! And I doubt you're simply here for the sights."

"A-actually, we were only passing through t-to get to the S-Safari Zone, Officer!" Ash quickly explained himself, and he felt Nya on his shoulder, looking ready to defend him if the officer should shoot.

"This whole place is a Pokemon Preservation?" Blue asked, having not known this on his previous journey. That's new- did I ever come here before? … No, I think I took the cycling road last time.

Officer Jenny frowned suspiciously, but she slowly lowered her rifle, sighing. "...Sorry about that- we've just been getting a lot of poachers lately, and I've been overworked at the station…"

"Poachers?" Ash frowned, crossing his arms. "There must be a lot of rare Pokemon here if poachers are attacking this place a lot."

Blue crossed his arms before he said curiously, "Are there any poachers here now?" Ash's Pikachu said something about hearing Kangaskhan earlier.

"I'm getting some signals around an open area where Kangaskhan usually live…" Officer Jenny said with a frown, glancing at a radio. "I was going to check there next after I came here to see if anyone was poaching Pokemon."

Nya then gave a smile- not just any smile, but a rather mischievous one. Ash took notice and he gulped… he didn't like that look on her face. "I'm going to explore this place a bit, Ashy- I'd like to stretch my legs a bit in the sky for a while."

Ash frowned at this, but since he didn't want to talk out loud in front of Officer Jenny, he mentally spoke. "Memma, what if someone sees you? If word gets out a Mew is in the area, this place is BOUND to be burned to the ground by greedy poachers! And let's not forget Team Rocket will be gunning for you too!"

"Oh Ashy, you worry too much. If they see me, let them talk- little myths of rumors are always fun, but I wouldn't worry about those poachers or Team Rocket, just leave it all to your Memma~" Nya winked at him, a wide grin spreading across her cheeks. "Besides, I have some… fun plans for us while we're here, Ashy."

"..." Ash gulped nervously, quickly tuning back into what Officer Jenny was saying. I don't know what she's up to… but it's not going to be good, I know that much.

"I suppose you two can come along if you want…" Officer Jenny said with a shrug. "I would appreciate all the help I can get, after all!" Apparently Blue had asked if they could help Officer Jenny while Ash was having his mental talk with Mew. Jenny then jumped into her jeep and said, "Alright get in, we have to hurry."

"How did we get into these things?" Storm grumbled, facepalming in irritation.

Ash and Blue quickly jumped into the back seats of the jeep, Nya still having that mischievous glint in her eyes. As soon as the boys got in, Officer Jenny hastily floored the gas pedal and took off into the forest, which soon lead them to a big open field.

"Whoa…" Blue blinked, looking around in surprise. This is quite different from the jungle we just left- then again, it makes sense to have different kinds of areas for different Pokemon to thrive in… "So the possible poachers are up ahead?"

"That's right, so keep your eyes open." Officer Jenny said with a firm nod.

Ash took notice of the herd of Kangaskhan up ahead, and he couldn't help but give a nostalgic smile as he and Mew would often come to places like these as Kangaskhan themselves. Speaking of Mew, that glint in her eyes seem to have gotten brighter…

Blue seemed to be looking in one direction though, as if keeping watch of something like a Fearow- he refused to take his eyes off, but all Ash could see was trees and bushes… did Blue see something he didn't?

Meanwhile, Officer Jenny's eyes widened, seeing three people on Ponyta trying to herd the Kangaskhan together! "Oh come on- this time it wasn't a false alarm again? Alright you two, looks like I'm going to need your help after all…"

"Who are those people?" Ash asked- he never saw them before, and they didn't look like they're from Team Rocket.

"Poachers." Jenny frowned, stopping the jeep a few meters away from the Kangaskhan herd. "We better do something and fast."

Blue looked over at them before turning back to what he was looking at earlier. If he was a Pokemon, Ash could imagine him growling… "What's the matter Blue?"

"... I think… there's another…" Blue said quietly, his eyes never leaving that spot.

"Eh? Another?" Ash blinked, glancing at where Blue was looking as well. "...Well, for now, let's deal with those three- alright?"

Blue narrowed his eyes and clenched his fist, but he sighed, reluctantly nodding. "Alright, fine… any ideas, Ash?"

What's with Blue? He seems a lot more aggravated than he usually is… Ash frowned in thought as he saw Blue looking back at the direction once more.

Nya and Storm looked over at Blue, and Nya looked a bit serious before she turned to Ash, "Well now, I do believe we have a herd to save." she said to her child.

Ash nodded before turning to Officer Jenny. "How do we stop these guys?" he asked, reaching to grab a Poke Ball on the spot.

Jenny frowned, glancing at the poachers. "Hmm… first we need to get the Kangaskhan away from those hunters- do either of you have Pokemon that know Smokescreen or Sand Attack?"

Ash nodded, grabbing the Poke Ball. "I have a Charmander that knows Smokescreen." He held up Scorch's Cherish Ball, spinning it in one hand.

Blue grabbed his Eevee's Poke Ball, holding it up as well. "And I have an Eevee that knows Sand Attack."

Jenny grinned slightly, nodding. "Then what are you waiting for? Have your Pokemon use them! The Kangaskhan can get away as soon as the poachers are blinded."

Ash and Blue immediately threw their respective Poke Balls, summoning the shiny Charmander and Eevee onto the field. "Scorch! Use Smokescreen!"

"Eevee, Sand-Attack, now!"

Without hesitation, both Pokemon did as their Trainers ordered, Scorch shooting out black thick smoke from her mouth and Eevee kicking up a lot of sand, blinding the three poachers on the Ponyta as the herd kept going.

"Ack! What is this!?" one of the poachers shouted angrily.

"I- *cough! cough!* can't see anything!" another coughed, sounding irritated.

"Who's smoking and sanding us!?" the other shouted. "I'll gut them in two!"

Jenny smirked to herself, pulling out a Poke Ball. "Alright, now's our chance to capture them! Go, Muk!" She then tossed out the Poison type Pokemon, and it quickly spread itself along the ground, snaring up the three pony Pokemon easily.

The three Ponyta began neighing loudly, trying to get out from the Muk's snare. Officer Jenny walked up to them, crossing her arms. "Don't worry, Muk won't poison you unless I tell it to, so you better stop struggling."

The herd of Kangaskhan stopped suddenly and began grouping together, as if something just spooked them. Nya looked over at them and said with a small frown, "Looks like the big one is going to show their ugly mug soon."

Blue kept glaring before he jumped off the jeep and ran over to Ash, grabbing another Poke Ball. "We have to get the Kangaskhan out of here, now!"

"Eh?" Ash blinked, caught off-guard. "Why, what's wrong? Is the final poacher acting?"

Blue looked really troubled and nervous, Ash didn't like that, but before something else happened, someone shouted loudly, "KANGAAAAAA!"

"What the-? What was that?" Ash asked, caught off-guard and quickly looking around.

A small boy with blue spiky hair and wearing a loincloth around his body and holding a boomerang suddenly appeared, jumping on a tree branch with the agility of a Chimchar. "ALL OF YOU GROUP TOGETHER NOW!" he cried out in Poke-language.

Blue frowned in confusion, looking at the boy curiously. "What the heck?" I didn't even notice him- where did he come from?

Ash noticed the Kangaskhan looked a lot more confident suddenly, and he watched as the boy threw his boomerang into the bushes. When the boy did, it sounded like it hit something, then he pointed at the place he threw his boomerang at. "NOW ATTACK!"

All the Kangaskhan charged over at where the boy threw his boomerang, and began using moves like Mega Punch or a strong swing of the tail. However, whatever or whoever they were aiming at was gone. Blue frowned as Ash watched in awe, whistling lowly. "They chased away whoever that was! Hey, Blue, we did it! We got the poachers!"

Blue shook his head, though, crossing his arms and still frowning "No… we got lucky- but she'll be back. She always comes back until she fulfills her mission."

"...What? She?" Ash frowned in confusion and suspicion as he looked at his traveling companion. "What do you mean by that, Blue?"

Blue didn't answer, but Ash's attention was soon caught when he heard that boy cheering, "WE DID IT!"

"WE DID IT! WE DID IT!"

the herd of Kangaskhan cheered back as the boy ran over to the biggest Kangaskhan, whom Ash assumed is the leader of the herd, and jumped into its' pouch.

"Now let's go forth and make sure everyone is safe!" The boy commanded and all the Kangaskhan complied as if he was their leader.

Ash blinked at that, crossing his arms. "Huh… You know, I didn't think Kangaskhan just allowed anybody to go into their pouches- but that boy was able to go in without a problem!"

Blue nodded, glancing over at the herd as well. "Yeah… it's rare, but I've heard stories of human babies being raised by Kangaskhan by accident if they lose their baby and find the baby human instead."

"Yeah? … I didn't see any baby in that big one's pouch, so that makes sense." But this made Ash frown a bit as something occurred to him. "But then… where is that baby? Has it been alone all this time?"

"Who knows." Blue sighed, shrugging. "For all we know, it could be dead already- babies need someone to take care of them or they usually won't last long."

Ash frowned a bit more, but he sighed, nodding. "Yeah, I gue-" He jumped, suddenly hearing a helicopter flying up above them! "What the- why is there a helicopter coming in to land in a Pokemon Preservation Area?"

Officer Jenny frowned, rushing over to her jeep and shouting to the boys, "I'm wondering the same thing!" She then pulled out a megaphone and began shouting through it. "ATTENTION: THIS IS A POKEMON PRESERVATION AREA! YOU MUST HAVE AUTHORIZATION TO LAND YOUR HELICOPTER HERE!"

Someone, a woman, used a device to reply from the helicopter. "We request permission to land- we promise we mean no harm to the Pokemon here."

Officer Jenny huffed, clearly annoyed, but she sighed. "ALRIGHT, FINE- BUT THIS HAD BETTER BE GOOD!" After all, they're already damaging the landscape with the loud noise and the winds of that helicopter…

When the helicopter landed, a woman and a short man came out, and both of them gave a smile before the woman said, "We're terribly sorry for the sudden landing, but we came because we're looking for our lost son Tommy."

"Yes, and we heard that someone spotted him here somewhere with the Kangaskhan." the short man said with a big smile on his face.

"Eh?" Officer Jenny blinked, caught off-guard. "Wait… your boy is living with the Kangaskhan?"

Ash heard Nya whistling ever so innocently from his shoulder, and he gave her a look- of course it was no mere coincidence that these people would show up just after they saw a human boy with the Kangaskhan. "Memma…!" he mumbled to her, frowning in annoyance.

"I'll have you know, Ashy, as a mother myself, I can't just let something like this slip by." was Nya's answer, using the human term for mother this time.

Ash huffed slightly, rolling his eyes. "Sure, but at the same time, you're having too much fun with this!"

Blue frowned as well, crossing his arms. "We saw a boy go into a Kangaskhan's pouch… so he was your son? How did he get found by a Kangaskhan in the first place?"

The lady looked at the short man and gave him a glare, while the man himself just sheepishly backed away. "W-well, about five years ago, we were sightseeing around here in a helicopter, but Papa here held Tommy outside the window to 'get a better look', and ended up dropping him! He had his parachute thankfully, but by the time we got down there, he was gone." She frowned sadly, trying to hold back a tear or two. "We've been searching for him ever since…"

Blue looked up in the sky before sighing. "Well, from what I saw, your little boy is the leader of a Kangaskhan herd… so even if you do find him, I don't think he'd be all that willing to leave them."

Ash nodded, putting his hands behind his head. "Yeah, and I don't think he's gonna remember much of his past either."

The man frowned determinedly, punching his fist eagerly. "Tommy will remember us- he has to! He just needs a knock over the head to remember us, that's all!"

"Excuse me, but if you two want help in finding him, please come over to the station and we'll talk." Officer Jenny said to the two parents. "You two." she said, turning to Blue and Ash. "You can go see where the Kangaskhan are and see if Tommy's with them, I just need to make sure they're telling the truth first."

Ash gave a nod and a thumbs-up, smiling. "Sounds fair to me. We'll let you know after we find him!"

With that, Officer Jenny drove the two adults back with her jeep, leaving the two Trainers alone. Storm gave a sigh of relief, muttering under his breath, "I thought they'd never leave…"

Now that they were alone, Ash turned to Blue, crossing his arms and giving a serious frown. "Blue… I want to know something… do you know who the leader of those three poachers were?"

"..." Blue hesitated, glancing back to where he had been staring before the boy with the Kangaskhan drove the leader of the poachers away. "...I do. The one who was trying to capture those Kangaskhan… was a woman named Hunter Jay."

Ash frowned, and he crossed his arms, trying to recall her name. "Hunter Jay… I feel like I've heard that name somewhere before."

"You should, Ashy- she's a cruel and heartless Pokemon Hunter." Nya said from Ash's head as she jumped to the ground.

"... Oh yeah! I remember a long time ago, I saw the news on TV- a town lost their most prized Pokemon by someone called Hunter Jay, it was all over the news." Ash said, frowning as he looked over at Blue. "She's the same one?"

The brown-haired boy nodded, clenching his fists loosely. "Mhm… and she uses horrible tactics to capture Pokemon as well. I don't know what she's doing in Kanto… but if she has her eyes set on those Kangaskhan, there won't be much that can stop her."

"But why would a hunter be after Kangaskhan? Sure they're pretty rare, but why go after them specifically?" Ash asked, frowning thoughtfully.

"Maybe her client wanted the Kangaskhan, and she'll do anything to get her pay- that's the type of person she is." Blue said seriously.

"And she's still out there somewhere." Ash said, gulping uneasily. "So… what do we do then?"

Blue frowned, pulling out his Pokedex and looking at it for a few minutes. "...I'll look for her on my own- for now, you might as well study the various Pokemon around here. You still have a lot to learn, after all!"

Ash blinked, caught off-guard. He looked back up at Blue, frowning slightly. "What? But you can't-"

"He's right, Ash." Storm spoke up suddenly, frowning as well. "As we are now, we probably wouldn't stand a chance- remember Cassidy and Butch? We didn't stand a chance against them, and we only won because we got lucky last time."

"Besides, I do have some lessons to teach you while we're here, Ashy~" Nya gave a playful smile, winking mischievously as she giggled.

Ash groaned, crossing his arms in annoyance. "Ugh… fine, I guess you can go do it alone Blue… Still, it sucks that I can't help…"

"I'll see you later then, and if you run into Hunter Jay, don't challenge her. You've got some rare Pokemon she'll be interested in like that shiny Charmander or Nidorino of yours- got it?" Blue said sternly. Ash nodded, and the boy turned away, saying over his shoulder, "Good, I'll meet back up with you later."

Ash watched as Blue ran off and he sighed, putting his arms behind his head. "I guess he has a personal grudge on her- something must've happened…"

"Perhaps, but that's something you'll have to discover for yourself later. Now then…" Nya's body glowed and she changed shape, turning back into her original Mew self. "Ah, it feels good to be a Mew again!"

"Oh boy… what are you planning this time, Mew?" Storm asked warily, trying to back away from the pink cat. "I don't want any part of it, no matter what!"

"Memma! Are you sure you should be in your Mew form right now? What if that hunter sees you?" Ash hissed.

Mew just giggled, grinning. "Silly Ashy~! I'm not going to be caught or spotted! How do you think I've eluded all Trainers in the past eon or so?"

"Because nobody wants to play your Mew Games?" Storm commented dryly, sweatdropping.

Ash sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "W-well… if you're sure, Memma- still, maybe you could be some other Pokemon while we're here?"

Mew gave a smile to her child before she said, "I just figured we might as well have a little fun while we're in this big open field full of wild Pokemon. This place is like a Pokemon's paradise after all."

"Well it is pretty spacious and all, but I dunno about a paradise." Storm said, still looking at Mew warily.

"For many Pokemon, this is a great and safe place to live and raise their young, despite all the hunters and poachers, it's a place with no predators and Pokemon aren't too afraid of each other, but… they seem to only want to hang out with their own kind." Mew said with a small huff.

"Uh… so… what are we doing?" Ash asked the floating pink cat.

Mew smiled before she touched Ash and transformed him, his body shrink down to a size almost smaller than Storm! Ash looked down at himself and realized what Mew was doing, "You turned me into a baby Kangaskhan again!?"

"Of course, it's fitting to be Kangaskhan for this!" Mew smiled as she transformed herself into a bigger Kangaskhan, becoming the parent.

"Hey, what about me?" Storm asked, frowning a bit.

"You can run around for a bit, or you can follow us- I'll just say I picked up a Pikachu and raised it as my own." Mew said said with a smile as she picked up Ash and put him into her pouch.

Ash felt quite comfy in the pouch, it's been so long since Mew transformed them into Kangaskhan that he had forgotten how much he enjoyed it. He smiled slightly, nuzzling down inside the pouch. "Well, it's up to you Storm- but this is pretty comfy!"

"..." Storm grumbled under his breath, reluctantly jumping into Mew's pouch next to Ash. "Fine, I guess I'll join too- but if something bad happens, I'm blaming you!"

"Hey, Memma never lets anything really bad happen- have a little more faith." Ash chuckled at his electric companion.

"Alright, hang on tight you two!"Mew, as the parent Kangaskhan, began charging quickly! Storm yelped as he dived into the pouch to keep from falling out, but Ash, being used to his Memma's rambunctiousness, was having the time of his life.

"Yahoo!" Ash cheered, sticking his two tiny paws up into the air excitedly. "This is awesome!"

"HOW ARE YOU ENJOYING THIS!?" Storm cried out, curling up into a little ball at the bottom of Mew's pouch.

Ash chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "This isn't as bad as that roller coaster track back at the island! Live a little, Storm!"

Mew-Kangaskhan soon slowed down as she reached the herd of Kangaskhan in a big clearing. "Ah good, we're here."

The Kangaskhan were letting their young ones play outside of their pouches, when they spotted the newcomer. They each gave a smile as they approached the Kangaskhan."Ah, hello there- you're a new Kangaskhan!" one commented with a bright smile.

Mew-Kangaskhan chuckled, shrugging. "Yes I am- I came from another herd, but they kicked me out when I began raising a Pikachu as my own. May I join yours?"

"Of course!" another said, and with that, the three began mingling with the other Kangaskhan.

Ash looked at all the Kangaskhan curiously- he always loved being able to see all sorts of different Pokemon up close like this in their natural habitat without them being scared off since he's 'one of them'.

One of the Kangaskhan looked down at him and gave a smile. "Aww, you have such a healthy baby!"

"Why thank you, I've been training her to be a strong young 'Mon." Mew-Kangaskhan said with a proud smile.

Ash blushed a bit while Storm poked his head out curiously, he was a bit nervous since he was never around so many big Pokemon like this before. And did Mew just called him a 'her'? "U-uh…" He smiled sheepishly, nervously waving a yellow paw. "...H-hi?"

"Awww, and that Pikachu is adorable too!" another Kangaskhan said, smiling happily.

Storm nervously shrank in the pouch, but Ash patted his head. "Oh come on Storm, they won't bite."

"W-well… I dunno… Kangaskhan can be pretty… dangerous." The Pikachu said nervously.

"But you see, my little child doesn't spend a lot of time playing with others, and I want her to be nice and healthy as well as happy, so mind her playing with your kids for a while?" Mew-Kangaskhan said politely.

Ash sweatdropped- there are no male Kangaskhan in the world… so technically he's… a girl right now. "E-er… y-yeah, that'd be nice…" He chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"...Wait…HER?" Storm blinked, staring at Ash before he began to laugh, falling back into the pouch "WAHAHAHAHA! Y-you're a girl! A GIRL! AHAHAHAHA!"

"Hey! Shut it!" Ash bonked the laughing Pikachu in the head with his/her tiny fist. "What's so funny about being a girl, huh?"

"Aww, look at that, they're almost like siblings." The other Kangaskhan laughed joyfully. "Sure, they can play all they want."

"Great- thank you so much!" Mew-Kangaskhan said with a pleasant smile before she picked Ash and Storm up from her pouch and set them down on a grass. "Have fun you two, and play nice now!"

Ash and Storm blinked a bit, not entirely sure what to do as the other young Kangaskhan looked over at them curiously. "..." Ash awkwardly scuffed the ground with his/her foot. "...Er… H-hi there… My name's Ash- and this is Storm…"

"Uh… it's nice to meet you. I know I'm not technically a Kangaskhan, but..." Storm awkwardly rubbed the back of his ears, smiling nervously.

One of the young Kangaskhan approached the two and smiled, waving happily. "Hi, it's very nice to meet you two! We're always happy to meet new friends!"

"Yeah! And Storm is special like Tomo!" Another young Kangaskhan said with a cheerful expression.

"...Huh?" Ash and Storm blinked, exchanging glances. "...Tomo? Who's that?"

"He's the human boy our leader raised as her own child!"

"So we understand if the Pikachu is being raised by a Kangaskhan too!"

"Human boy?" Ash remembered that Kangaskhan kid earlier- so he was called 'Tomo' among them? He might very well be that kid those two parents were looking for. "Uh… where is Tomo right now?"

"With our leader, probably talking about those human poachers earlier." another baby Kangaskhan said, tossing a Berry from paw to paw.

"Hmm? What do you guys know about those poachers?" Storm asked, crossing his arms.

"Nothing much, just that they're humans who hunt Pokemon down." The baby Kangaskhan said.

Another young Kangaskhan then smiled, asking excitedly, "But enough about that, let's play! Who wants to play Poke-Tag? Not it!"

"Not it!" the others quickly chorused, grinning eagerly.

"Uh… n-not it!" Ash quickly said, beginning to run from Storm as the others did so too.

"WHAT!? H-hey!" The Pikachu quickly went after them as they scattered.

Pikachu is naturally a fast Pokemon, so it was easy for him to catch up with the one he was chasing, and as soon as he tagged her, she ran after him. Storm ran away as she laughed.

After a while, they decided to change it to freeze tag- the one who's it will be frozen in place unless someone else can tag them. Storm was somehow it again, but since he's fast, he could catch them unless they outsmart him. Ash teamed up with one of the baby Kangaskhan and set up a small trap for the Pikachu. They set leaves over it just as Storm ran towards them, and he ended up tripping over a big rock that was hidden. Ash chuckled as he high three-ed his partner in crime.

It was almost sunset, Ash was surprised at how fast time flew when they're having fun. The Kangaskhan decided to change the game to hide-n-seek now.

"I am NOT going to be It this time!" Storm said with a pout, crossing his arms.

"Alright, then I'll be it this time buddy. Everyone else go hide while I count to ten!" Ash announced while the others all gave a cheery "YES!"

Ash closed his/her eyes and began counting slowly while Storm and the other baby Kangaskhan went to go hide somewhere. Their parents had been watching them the whole time, chatting in amusement with each other as they watched their children play.

Mew-Kangaskhan chuckled, seeing Ash open his/her eyes and begin looking for the other Kangaskhan and Storm. Aww Ashy… that's so adorable!

Ash grinned, spotting a yellow tail popping up from out of the bushes, and he quietly snuck over to it. The little Kangaskhan reached out for the tail and was about to touch it when a young boy's voice shouted, "DANGER! DANGER IS NEAR!"

That startled Ash, and Storm looked up from the bushes with his ears straight up. The babies that were hiding nearby all came out, looking worried while the parents all looked up in high alert. The parents then quickly hurried to their children and picked them up before putting them back in their pouch, Mew-Kangaskhan doing the same with Ash and Storm.

"What's going on?" Ash asked, looking around in confusion and wondering what the danger could be.

"You don't worry about it, Memma will take care of it." Mew-Kangaskhan said calmly.

Ash and Storm saw the boy, Tomo, jumping from tree to tree as he looked around before glaring angrily ahead at something. Ash gasped when he saw something big coming their way! "What the-? What is THAT!?"

DarkFoxKit: Heh, surprised we decided to go directly to the Safari Zone now? Wondering who that hunter was? And questioning if Ash is still a male since there are no such thing as a male Kangaskhan?

Key2DestNE: Well don't worry, we're answering those questions soon. First, no, Ash is not a male anymore. XP You can do your fanfics about Ashley now!

DarkFoxKit: *chuckles* Anyways, we should go ahead and get into the questions, but we'll only answer ones we think we should since there's a lot of reviews each chapter.

Key2DestNE: No kidding, sheesh…

DarkFoxKit: Also, Thor94… Read TimmyC's review. PsychicEevee0103, Key isn't leaving, I just said he needed a break for a while- didn't mean he was leaving. And yes, characters like Dario do need to be punished. And yeah, I thought it was rather stupid that they made Ash catch 30 Tauros in that episode, and it was really confusing for us American watchers since that episode was banned.

Key2DestNE: Still, I'm glad you find me fun! :D Awsomeness, I'd rather not be attacked in the first place… *sweatdrops* At least you like the Elite Rockets, though! Glad to hear you enjoyed the storytelling and action we're doing, too. We won't say about how the two Trainers share their secrets with the others… and I don't think Fox is happy about you brainwashing her muse…

DarkFoxKit: You don't have Mew, you have a different Mew. My Mew is still running around somewhere, nobody but me can get her! *cackles* …Ahem. Whiterosekid, Mew being the Guardian of the Earth means it's her responsibility to keep the lives on the planet going. And I'm not answering that second question because it'll spoil future chapters.

Key2DestNE: RedFoxSpy… sounds like Fox has a fan… *pokes the kitten's side* :3 Anyways, that is a good point about Ash having a lot of Pokemon- I was thinking of asking Fox that same question later. And we'll put the list at the end of this AN, don't worry!

DarkFoxKit: We will? … Oracion de las Estrellas, Mew will have to prove the legendaries wrong eventually if she hopes to have peace. As for Kanto and Johto Legendaries, well we haven't said yet. Elements1999, please do not give Key more ammo than he needs now…

Key2DestNE: Why not? I happen to like hearing that! :3 223… actually, I hadn't thought of that- we might do a chapter on Pikachu's Vacation at some point.

DarkFoxKit: Darknight179, thank you for enjoying the story and the OCs, and thank you for not complaining about how OP they are. As for Ash battling like he did in the anime, I thought he was improving more than that, even before he met Blue he always kept a cool head and used strategies in battles.

Key2DestNE: Misty and Brock could have been mentors, sure, but sadly they were never used as such in the anime- my idea was always that this was early in their careers. As for the lake trio from Sinnoh, they may hate Mew and they may not- we're not revealing a specific list for that just yet!

DarkFoxKit: And that's all we're answering for today. That about wraps this up… oh, right, we should put down that list of hybrids, right? Well here they are. And I am DarkFoxKit, this is Key2DestNE and we look forward to hearing from you.
