August 2015 Prompt: unicorn
Title: Pure Recovery
Rating: G
Warnings: none, set post-war
Hermione watched from an abandoned Acromantula's lair. She had followed Draco here numerous times, at first assuming he was doing something devious, despite Harry's protests that he was no longer a threat.
Turned out Harry was right and Draco was simply working on light magics. It appeared to her that he was using this to recover his mental stability, and the process was interesting to watch.
Tonight, she was anxious he get a particular spell right. She crossed her fingers and waited.
"Expecto Patronum!"
She stared in awe and joy as a beautiful, silver unicorn materialized out of his wand.
