This chapter was originally much shorter, but because it was too short I decided to add in the other chapter to make it longer. Okay, this one is mostly about Blue and Yellow's past, it'll show you a few interesting things. And sorry about the slow updates, I've been focusing on the Earthbound franchise lately. ^^' I'll try to get back into this soon. But be sure to read the bottom AN before you review, it has a very important message to all readers.

Chapter 31: Revelation of Blue

"Blue! Yellow! How did… when did… weren't you at the hospital?" Ash was looking at the two in confusion.

"Well we weren't too badly injured from the explosion so they let us out pretty quickly." Blue explained. "And they even told us to take a vacation on Cinnabar Island and gave us free tickets."

"Then I guess we all got on for free." Ash said, "Memma made me a ticket to get on board, and two Dragon types took us here! It was awesome!"

"Oh? What were they?" Yellow asked with a smile.

"They were…" Ash paused. "Really rare Pokemon, but they left already. But hey, it's great that we could all be together again after that explosion in the Safari Zone! Uh… are you sure you're okay with Yellow coming along with us, Blue?"

Blue sighed as he said, "Well she insisted on coming with me and I have no doubt in my mind she will keep hunting us down until I agree she can stay, so I don't have a lot of choice here."

"Hey! Don't say that like it's a bad thing, Green!" Yellow said, looking at the older boy.

"For the last time, my name is Blue, not Green, Yellow." Blue said, "And please stop, that's a very confusing sentence that I never want to say again."

"Well… it's nice to have you onboard Yellow." Ash smiled as he chuckled. "I really missed Brock and Misty when we had to go our separate ways, so it's good to have friends to travel with me again."

"Likewise, it was just me and my Pokemon for the longest time. It should be fun traveling with you!" Yellow smiled back.

The ship began moving on the water. Ash looked out the porthole and said, "Looks like we're finally on our way to Cinnabar Island. Want to get a better look out on the sky deck?"

"There's a sky deck?!" Yellow asked excitedly, "I love the sky, and the sea, and the land, everything nature!"

"Uh…" Ash looked at her.

Blue elbowed his half sister, looking rather embarrassed. "Yellow, he didn't mean it's in the actual sky. It's just outside where you can get a better view of the ocean and sky."

"I know." Yellow said, "I just like seeing nature and enjoying the fresh ocean breeze. Is that bad?"

"It is if you keep announcing it." Blue sighed. "Just try to act like a normal human being, okay?"

"Was she raised in the wild or something?" Ash awkwardly asked.

"You… could say that… Her parents lived on an island full of nature." Blue explained.

"Yeah." Yellow said, "I didn't see much else until I came to Kanto, everything is a lot more… mechanical here."

"Well of course it is, most of Kanto have cities." Ash said. "In fact I think my hometown Pallet is the most nature-ish thing in this region. It would explain why my Memma likes going there a lot."

"That and it has the fewest people there." Nya said from Ash's shoulder.

"Really? I might visit there sometime." Yellow said happily.

The group of three head up to the sky deck, where they looked out into the ocean, feeling the nice cool breeze through their hair, or in Ash's case his hat. Storm closed his eyes as he enjoyed the breeze himself and Nya looked tempted to jump into the ocean and transform into a Water type herself.

"Ashy, this boat ride is going to take a while. So I'll have some fun, don't worry I'll stay close to you and even if I stray too far I can always teleport back." Nya said to Ash before jumping into the ocean before the boy could even reply.

"Heh… Memma loves playing, especially in the water." Ash chuckled.

"Hey, who let the losers on board?" a familiar, arrogant voice said from behind them. Blue let out an audible sigh as the three turned around to face Gary.

"Of course you had to be here." Blue grumbled.

"Hmph, I'm surprised you're here at all, Blue." Gary hissed at his brother. "And I'm also surprised you're still traveling with Ash over there. What's wrong? You like sticking with losers?"

Ash glared irritably. "Gary, did you come here to make fun of me or did you come to actually challenge the Cinnabar Gym Leader?"

"Do you not keep up with what's happening in Kanto, Ash? Nevermind, of course you don't. Cinnabar Island became a resort for tourists a while ago." Gary said, rolling his eyes, "There's no gym or gym leader anymore. Not that I need any more badges, I already have enough."

Ash sighed, he DID keep up with events, it's just that Mew had told him about the secret Cinnabar Island Gym built into the volcano. Well, at least I know something Know-It-All Gary here doesn't. "And you're going there because…?"

"I need a break from my Pokemon Journey." Gary said lazily. "I've already come so far I might as well enjoy what the resort has to offer. Unlike my so-called brother here, I actually like to enjoy my journey."

"I only pushed myself and my Pokemon because I was trying to get ahead of my rival Red." Blue glared at him. "A rival can really help push you to do great things."

"Yeah well, too bad my so-called rival is too much of a pathetic Trainer to be much of one." Gary said as he smirked at Ash, who really wanted to sock the boy in the face right now.

"You sure you don't want me to give him a good jolt? Or at least paralyze him with Thunder Wave?" Storm asked his Trainer, his cheeks sparking.

"Look Gary, we never even battled so you can't say I'm weaker than you until after you've actually beaten me in a Pokemon battle." Ash said calmly.

"And besides…" Blue said, "Just because a trainer is weaker than you now doesn't mean they'll always be weaker. After all, I started out better then Red and he bested me in the end."

"You keep telling yourself that." Gary said. "But right now I'm on vacation so don't talk to me about Pokemon or training right now."

Ash looked around at all the people on board, not a single one of them had a Pokemon or Poke Balls on them. "Are all these people tourists?"

Yellow looked a little nervous being with so many people here. "I… I don't… really like crowded places… I'm not used to being with so many people in one place before…"

"Of course they're tourists. Cinnabar Island is one of the biggest resort in all of Kanto." Gary said as if it should've been common knowledge then he turned to Yellow, "Who are you and are you a boy or a girl?"

Yellow shyly tipped her hat over her face while Blue answered, "Leave her alone, Gary. She's a girl by the way and she doesn't like it when people get up in her face."

"Whatever, consider yourselves lucky I'm on vacation. Smell ya later." Gary retorted before walking away.

Blue sighed, "Why does he have to take after me when I was a bit younger?"

"Well, you two ARE brothers." Storm said in a bit of an annoyance.

"Were you not paying attention when Professor Oak told you two that he chose to be like me, Storm?" Blue asked the Pikachu.

"Yeah, I heard. All the more reason to believe why he would choose to be like you. You're his older brother so he respects you… or he used to anyways." The Pikachu told him.

"You do make a good older brother." Yellow smiled.

"Ugh… whatever..." Blue grumbled, "Now we have to deal with him until this thing arrives on a tourist trap."

"Not necessarily, Blue." Mew said as she appeared in front of them, "We'll be passing the Seafoam Islands soon, we can visit them for a while instead of staying here."

"Seafoam Islands? I've never heard of that." Storm said in a curious tone.

"It's those tiny islands on the map, but they're so small and desolate that people just ignores them." Ash explained. "Why would we want to go there? I heard it's very, very cold inside those islands."

"Cold? … I don't really like the cold." Yellow frowned.

Mew smiled as she gestured out to the sea, pointing at some chunks of islands, "Because it may just be a nice learning experience for all of us. And I can always just teleport us back on the ship before it gets to Cinnabar."

Then Ash realized that Mew was in her true form, in front of all these people. "M-Memma! Why are you in your true form out here!? Someone could see you!"

Mew just gave a giggle before she said, "Oh relax Ashy, these tourists know next to nothing about Pokemon. And besides, I like giving people something to talk about." She winked.

Blue looked in the direction Gary went, "Okay let's just go before Gary comes back… I really don't want to deal with him, and I'm sure Ash doesn't either."

Ash scratched the back of his head, embarrassed that Blue said that out loud, "R-right, we might as well see what could be in such a place."

"Um… do we really have to? I don't like cold places." Yellow frowned, feeling uncomfortable.

"You could always just stay on here and wait for us, Yellow." Blue said.

"... N-no, I'll go with you Green! I didn't come all this way just to let you leave me again." Yellow said with a determined face.

"I'm not Green, I'm Blue, Yellow…" Blue sighed, "Again with that sentence."

"Well if we're all agreed, I think it's time to go!" Mew said excitedly before she gave them a wink and they were all teleported off the ship with no traces that they've been there.

The first thing Ash noticed once they re-materialized on the seafoam islands was that it was blistering cold, a fact that had hit everyone at the same time.

"Ah! S-so c-cold!" Yellow yelled, shivering wildly.

The group were inside a very cold cave, filled with ice, rocks and water. There were a few Water/Ice type Pokemon swimming around the place.

"Well it IS the Seafoam Islands, coldest place in Kanto." Mew explained. "Don't worry though, I can just do this."

Mew took a moment to think before simply insulating the trainer's clothes and making a small sphere of heat surround Storm, not bothering to protect herself, since she could easily handle the cold.

"Ah… That's much better." Storm said happily.

"Well that makes it easier to travel around in here." Blue said with a relief sigh, examining the newly insulated clothing.

Ash nodded in agreement, "Thanks Memma. This really helps."

Mew smiled at her child, "It's no problem, Ashy."

"So, Mew, will this insulation be enough to keep us warm as we explore?" Blue asked the pink legendary.

"It should be. It doesn't get much colder than this in the caverns." Mew responded.

"That means we'll be warm, right?" Yellow asked, hoping the answer would be yes.

"Of course, Yellow, these clothes are now well insulated, thanks to Mew." Blue told Yellow.

"Okay, Green." Yellow said happily.

"For the last time, I'm… ugh… Forget it, I give up." Blue said as he walked into the cave. Yellow walked close behind, Ash and the two Pokemon on his shoulders following her.

Yellow looked around the cave once she entered, "Woah… It's so beautiful in here."

The others nodded in agreement as they took in the scene.

"Of all the places in Kanto, this is one of the most beautiful." Mew said fromAsh's shoulder.

"Can't argue with that…" Storm said while gazing at the walls, seeing how beautiful the ice crystals were, and how well they compliment the sea that ran through the cavern. Some of the Water/Ice Pokemon jumped gracefully around, most of them Dewgong to match the crystals.

They five took in the sight for a minute longer before a voice resonated throughout the cavern, "Get out! Get out!" a moment later a blizzard began, dropping the temperature and causing wind to start.

"What's happening?!" Yellow practically shouted over the blizzard.

"A powerful pokemon must be causing a blizzard in here, lucky for us, Mew gave us pretty good protection from the cold!" Storm called out.

"We should still stay close! Don't want anybody getting separated from the group while we're here!" Mew yelled over the blizzard. A few moments later the group had moved close enough to see each other.

"Maybe we should find this Pokemon." Ash said, "It might be a site for Team Rocket, and they're trying to scare us out."

"It makes sense." Blue agreed with Ash. "They're always looking for secluded areas to continue their work in secret, but you have to wonder what they'd be able to get from this, it might just be a strong Pokemon just trying to protect their home."

Yellow nodded, "I think Green is right, Ash."

"They're right, Articuno lives here, and she's probably trying to protect her child." Mew told the group telepathically.

Yellow suddenly stiffened and began to look around. "Someone else is close by."

Ash looked at Mew, worried. "Don't worry Ashy, I know what to do. I am the master of disguise, you know." Mew said before she transformed into her Meowth disguise as Gary appeared with a small red fire dog-like pokemon.

"What the? What're you losers doing here?" Gary questioned in shock. "I didn't see you come here."

"We could say the same thing to you!" Ash retorted, "Besides, we came here to explore and to get away from your cocky attitude!" Running into Gary was starting to get on Ash's nerves, as he was constantly reminded by him that he wasn't as good a trainer.

"HA!" Gary laughed. "Of course you'd be here for exploring, I heard there's a really strong Pokemon in here somewhere, a legendary called Articuno, and there's only one in the entire world, so there's no way I'm going to let any of you losers catch it!"

"Wait! Gary!" Blue started, "You can't-"

"Smell ya later losers!" Gary shouted and ran off before Blue could finish his sentence.

"Great, now we have to hunt him down to make sure the dummy isn't killed by Articuno." Blue grumbled as he began to walk in the direction Gary ran off in with his growlithe.

"Wait, can't Mew just teleport us there?" Storm asked.

"No. Ashy has to do this on his own. I gave enough help recently, after all, this IS his adventure." Mew told Storm.

Ash nodded, he was determined to find Gary and get him out without too much harm, after all Gary may be an arrogant jerk, but he was still only a human child and Ash couldn't just let him face an angry legend without some help.

The group headed deeper into the Seafoam Island Cave, making slow progress since the blizzard only grew stronger the farther down they went. The protection Mew gave them was starting to weaken as the chills began seeping through.

"This is getting ridiculous!" Storm cried out. "It's getting cold enough to start seeping through Mew's protection!"

Yellow nodded in agreement, being the most vulnerable to the cold and thus feeling the chill the fastest. "This is crazy!"

After many more hours of walking through the blizzard, they made their way down to where a girl in simple clothing stood- which was nuts in this kind of environment let alone condition- facing Gary.

"Where's Articuno?!" The arrogant boy asked the girl. "I heard that one was sighted around here!"

"Gary!" Blue shouted to his younger brother. "What're you doing?!"

"I'm doing what you never could, you're nothing but a disappointment!" Gary responded harshly. "I'm catching a legendary!"

The girl standing there finally reacted, "You want to take my Memma from me?"

Gary looked at her, puzzled. "What the heck's a Memma?"

The group looked at her in surprise. She's Articuno's daughter? Ash thought.

"I won't let you take my Memma away!" She shouted, and the blizzard grew stronger. "I am Glaciem, and I won't let you take Articuno! GET OUT OF MY HOME!" and with a flash of light she suddenly began to grow, almost like a Pokemon evolution, her arms turned into wings, her body began to be covered in feathers, she grew out a long tail, her feet turned into talons… soon the girl had transformed into a shiny Articuno, which is a lighter and much paler shade of blue than a normal colored one. Though she was a bit smaller than how an Articuno normally would be.

Gary was visibly shaken and taken back by this sudden transformation. "AH! S-She can transform into a Pokemon! Is this some kind of trick!? This is too crazy for me- I gotta get out of here!" he ran away, pushing past the group and up towards the exit, leaving the others behind to face the angry hybrid, who turned her gaze from the retreating boy to them. "TRESPASSERS! LEAVE THIS PLACE AT ONCE!"

Ash and the others covered their ears from the loud caw and demand before the boy calmly put his hands in the air. "We don't mean you any harm Glaciem, we just want to talk, peacefully, if you could turn back into your human form, that would be appreciated.

The hybrid stared at Ash for a few moments, as if studying him and assessing if he truly was a threat or not, before turning back to normal. "You seem more trustworthy than that other human… I just want to live here in peace."

Ash nodded, motioning for the others to stay out of the conversation until it was certain Glaciem wouldn't attack. "I can understand that, but then why try to kick us out?"

Glaciem looked towards Ash's companions before answering, "You came here with Mew as well as two other Hybrids… I can tell because I can see into their hearts like I can with Pokemon… I thought you were going to scout my home and turn it into a base…"

Ash was confused, "Hybrids? The only other two with me are Blue and Yellow…" he turned back to look at them.

Blue scratched the back of his head, "Err…"

Yellow smiled nervously, "We're the Latios and Latias, Ash…"

The boy stared at them in shock, Storm was staring too. "... Wait… what? You two? You were Latios and Latias!?"

Yellow nodded but had a smile on her face, relieved she didn't have to keep this hidden from the Child of Mew himself for long. Blue on the other hand looked away, not liking that this was revealed.

"Blue… all this time you were… a hybrid?" Ash looked at his traveling companion.

"It's complicated Ash… it's… not something I like to talk about." Blue said with a sigh.

"It's a bit strange." Yellow said, "Even by hybrid standards, and we get turn into Legendaries by the original Legendary Pokemon themselves, that's not exactly the case with my half brother, Green, here."

Ash looked at Blue before he said, "Are you sure you don't want to tell me? You might as well explain how this happened while we're here."

Mew floated around Blue and gave him a reassuring nod. "It's okay, go ahead and tell him. It'll be better when there's no more secrets between you."

Blue nodded a bit, "Okay, Mew… You're right. I'll explain everything…" then he looked at the Articuno hybrid. "That is if you don't mind, of course."

Glaciem shrugged, "Not at all, I could use a new story. It's boring listening to the same ones over and over again."

"Alright, then we might as well sit down, it's kind of a long story." Blue said as he and the others sat down on the icy floor. "It started a few years back… I was only about seven years old at the time…"

Flashback

A much younger Blue was riding on a yacht along with his grandfather Professor Oak and his friend Red. They were going on a research field trip, as Professor Oak called it, to discover Pokemon that lived outside of the Kanto Region. Blue was very excited, he really wanted to see what other Pokemon was out there. Red was just as excited about he was, but Blue couldn't understand why his grandfather decided to take Red along too. Red wasn't even related to him.

"Is that the island, Grandpa?" Blue asked when they were closing in on a big, beautiful island. There weren't any cities there, but there were houses to indicate people lived there, but most of it was covered in nature.

"I believe so, this is the only island around here." Professor Oak responded as he was looking at a guidebook but having trouble deciphering it. "We can check with a resident and get directions if this ends up being the wrong place."

"I hope this is Agaria." Red said excitedly thinking about all the Pokemon on the island, "I can't wait to meet new kinds of Pokemon here."

"Yeah, me neither! I'm sure I'll see even more than Red does!" Blue spoke up suddenly. "And I can even take pictures of them, Grandpa!"

"That'd be nice Blue, but the flashes of a camera may scare off the Pokemon. I want to study them up close and personal if I can." Prof. Oak said to his grandchild.

"I can use the flashless camera…" Blue said quietly, "Would that work?"

"Actually Blue, it might be better if we just sketch them like your grandpa used to do." Red said with a smile. "The flashless cameras can't develop the pictures without the proper lighting after all, and some Pokemon may be found in shades or dark caves."

"Correct as always Red." Professor Oak smiled at him. "Agaria Island is full of nature, so there are a lot of places for wild Pokemon to live in, but they are still skittish around strangers."

"But you can't draw without light either…" Blue grumbled unhappily.

"And that's why I'm going to entrust you two with these." Prof. Oak said, handing them a red device. "It's a prototype, still in development, but it's the Pokedex. Try scanning a Pokemon you see. It should record the data of the Pokemon."

"That's cool, Professor Oak." Red said to the Pokemon expert, "Did you make it or was it one of the other Professors?"

"I think it's Professor Elm's invention, from Johto." Blue said, hoping to impress his grandfather.

"Actually Blue, it was me to made the Pokedex." Oak said and that made Blue frown and blush from embarrassment. "We're docking soon. Don't forget to bring some Pokechow with you so you can get close with the wild Pokemon and show you're not a threat."

It was a lot later when Blue and Red went exploring on the island. The village was small but the people living there were happy, they got along with Pokemon so much better than most people did back at home.

"These people are practically jungle people, they're almost living like wild Pokemon." Blue commented to his friend, Red.

Red was looking at a carving that was in one of the booths, "Hey look, there are two weird looking Pokemon here." The two Pokemon were very similar, but with their colors reversed and one smaller than the other, "What are they?"

Blue looked at them curiously. "Maybe we should just have our Pokedex scan them?"

Red took out the prototype Pokedex, but nothing came on. "Um… maybe we should get closer."

"Closer? But Grandpa said they don't trust strangers!" Blue said with a frown.

"How else are we supposed to learn about these Pokemon?" Red asked Blue, "It's not like we'll be able to find them, they look really fast."

"I wonder what kind of Pokemon are they?" Blue wondered when he looked at the carvings. "They look like they could be Dragon types… or maybe Water types… perhaps Flying types?"

"Maybe. so what should we do?" Red asked, "I'm not sure if we'll ever be able to find them."

"..." Blue looked at the carvings and began thinking to himself… what if he found these rare Pokemon? His grandfather would HAVE to acknowledge that he's just as good if not better than Red. "Why don't we split up and see if we can find them, Red? They must be somewhere on this island if the villagers made a carving out of them."

Red thought for a minute, "Okay Blue, that's a good idea."

So the two boys split up, Blue stayed and studied the carvings while Red went off to find them. "Latios… Latias… Guardians of the Soul Dew… I wonder what that is…? They must be Legendary Pokemon." His eyes sparkled. "It says here they mostly like to stay with a lot of water and nature…" he looked around the place and at the river that flowed through the island. The boy decided to follow the stream and hope it would lead him to at least one of those Pokemon.

Blue saw some Pokemon he's never seen in Kanto before, but his eyes were set on the big prize. Blue continued to follow the river upstream. It wasn't until mid evening did he reach the end of it, which was a large waterfall. This place was full of nature and wild Pokemon, brimming with life. But there was still no sign of the Latios or Latias he saw in the carvings. He sat down in disappointment, not sure if he wanted to go back home after his failure.

"I should've known… legendary Pokemon aren't easy to find for a reason…" Blue said to himself. "Why was I so stupid? I'll bet Red recorded hundreds of new Pokemon and I haven't even scanned one!"

While he was beating himself up over this, the boy heard a soft coo out of nowhere. "Wh-what the?"

A seemingly young Latias was floating over the river, close by, smiling at him, but it didn't have the red color, instead it had a golden yellow tint. And instead of yellow eyes, they were blue. "Woah…" Blue was in awe of the strange colored Latias, obviously astounded by his luck, especially since he was about to give up. Its color wasn't only different, but it seemed… unique, somehow. Was the color off in the carvings or is this just an odd colored Latias? And it seemed a lot smaller than he thought it would be.

The Latias smiled and floated a bit closer to Blue before darting off further upstream, seeming to want Blue to follow her. The curious 7 year old quickly stood up and hurried after her, as if just remembering he hadn't scanned her with the prototype Pokedex yet. "W-wait, come back!"

The Latias seemed to be giggling as she lead him through the trees. Blue frowned as he looked around for her before finding her floating over his head and touched his spiky hair. "H-hey, stop that!"

The small Latias cooed as Blue reached into his bag and brought out something that smelled tasty. "Here… why don't you try one of these?" Blue asked as he held out a piece of brown food. The Latias sniffed the food before taking it out of Blue's hand and nibbled it, "Berries are better."the Latias said telepathically.

Blue jumped back from the sudden voice in his head. "Wh-what was that!?"

"That was me silly! I'm talking to you with telepathy. Memma taught it to me when I want to talk to humans." Latias explained with her telepathic powers.

"Whoa… I've never had a Pokemon talking to me before." Blue admitted and smiled. "This is so cool!" He scanned her with the prototype Pokedex, but all that came up was a blank screen.

"Inssufficient data. Pokemon unknown." The machine said.

Blue frowned as he looked at it. "Aw man… I thought I could finally make my grandfather proud…"

The Latias giggled, "The silly box thinks I'm a Pokemon? I'm a hybrid!"

"... A what?" Blue looked at her like she just said she was an alien.

"A hybrid!" Latias said, "Part Pokemon…" She glew with a white light and reformed into a young girl around Blue's age, "Part human." She said in his language.

Blue fell on his butt as he stared at her. "I-impossible! That's impossible! You can't be a Pokemon and a human! This must be some kind of joke!"

"It's not a joke! I really am half Latias! And I can prove it to you!" Yellow said with a pout.

"It's all smoke and mirrors! You must've used a projection or SOMETHING to look like a Latias!" Blue snapped, feeling embarrassed he was tricked so easily by this little girl. "This isn't funny, I thought I actually found a legendary and it turned out to be a prank…"

"I can prove it to you!" the girl cried out before turning back into a Latias, "I'll take you to my Memma!" she picked Blue up then took off at a slow speed, for a Latias, towards her home.

Blue was frozen in shock as the Latias carried him through the jungle, unsure of how to act or respond to what was happening. "Wh-what are you doing!? Put me down!"

"To prove to you that I'm really half human and half Pokemon!" The Latias telepathically said as she flew towards the mountains.

Latias landed at the top, where there was surprisingly a large, clean pond. A lot of water Pokemon hung around the place. She put Blue down on the shallow end before she dived underwater.

"What's that crazy girl trying to do now?" Blue frowned as he looked around before he could see the whole island from the top of the mountain. "Wow…"

The Latias soon came back with a larger, normal colored Latias and a Latios close behind her. Blue was taken back seeing the two bigger Pokemon behind her.

"They're my Memmas." The smaller Latias said.

"Yellow, why did you bring a human up here? You know they're forbidden." The blue Latios said to the smaller Latias.

"But Memma, he didn't believe me when I showed him I was a hybrid! I wanted to prove it to him." The Latias, called Yellow, said.

"Yellow, why would you show a human you're a hybrid? I thought we warned you the dangers of doing so." The bigger, red Latias said with a frown.

"I was only playing with him…" Yellow said, "I thought it'd be okay… he seemed to be my age and he has a pretty good heart..."

"I-I won't tell anybody about this place, just let me go." Blue said, a bit scared of the two legends and their hybrid daughter, "I just didn't think it was… possible for a human to turn into a Pokemon…"

Yellow then smiled at him before she cooed at her parents, talking in Pokespeech so Blue couldn't understand what's going on. Latios seemed surprised, but the red Latias gave a nod of approval with something. Latios seemed to be hesitant, but then shrugged and just gestured his head at Blue.

Yellow then flew over Blue in a circle before picking him up. "What're you doing?"

Yellow didn't answer, instead she put her claws over his shoulder and Blue felt a bit uncomfortable as a tingle sensation began taking over his body. "W-wha?" She then picked him up and flew him underwater. "WAH!"

Blue shut his eyes and held his breath as Yellow glided underwater. She let out a coo that began to sound more and more like English to him. "You can breathe you know… and you can open your eyes."

Blue was confused, he didn't dare to try and breathe, but he did open his eyes. He looked around, not sure what had changed, until he saw how much his body had changed, "Wha-What?! What happened to my body?!" His voice sounded like it was screeching rather than yelling, and he could actually breathe! "What did you do to me!?"

"I made you a hybrid too, like me! So do you believe me now, Green?" Yellow said with a smile as she let him go.

"My name is not Green!" Blue shouted, "My name is Blue and I'm not a hybrid, I'm a human!"

"Well you're a hybrid now! You're like me, you're my brother!" Yellow said excitedly as she held his green claw with her own. "Come on, I'll show you!"

Yellow dragged him out to the surface of the water, where he could look at his reflection. Blue's now red eyes widen in shock when he saw he looked like a smaller Latios, only he was a teal green instead of blue. "H-how!?"

"Well… We can't exactly let a human know about our home…"the Latios told Blue, "And I guess Yellow liked you enough to make you into a hybrid like her, consider it a blessing in disguise."

"But I live with humans! I can't go home like this! I-I don't even know how to be a Latios!" Blue was freaking out, he had no idea this would happen to him and he didn't know what to do.

The Latias cooed as she nuzzled his face to calm him down, surprising him that it actually worked. "It's okay little one, you can stay with us for a while until you've learned how to be a Latios and a human."

"I… I don't have a choice… I can't go back home like this." Blue said sadly, still terrified of what had happened to him.

"You don't but that doesn't mean we can't have fun with our Memma's, bro!" Yellow said happily to him.

"Memma?" Blue looked at her cluelessly.

"Memma is what Pokemon call their parents, like what humans call mothers and fathers." The Latias explained.

"How do they tell the differences then?" Blue asked.

"If we're calling on a specific Memma, we yell their species name too."Yellow explained, "Or gender if they're the same species."

"It's rather refreshing to raise a son and fellow Latios for a change." Latios smirked.

End of Flashback

"So you didn't go back home for a while?" Ash asked.

"I came back home after a year, but I always came back to the island for more training and to play with Yellow there." Blue said. "I kept doing that until it was time for my Pokemon Journey. Well… there was that incident with Hunter J…"

Yellow cringed at that. "She was the worst… and she almost destroyed the island…"

Glaciem suddenly spoke up, "As much as I'd like to hear more, Memma's here and I'm sure she's going to want to know why you're all here."

"I'm sure she will." Mew said, "We are trespassing on her nest. And we owe her an apology and an explanation."

"You sure do." Everyone quickly stood up and looked up in awe as a much larger Articuno landed beside Glaciem. "Mew… I've heard a lot of rumors about you. Care to explain why you brought a human child here? I don't mind the hybrids too much, but why a human child?"

Ash felt uncomfortable as he was reminded he is the only fully human here after Gary ran away. Storm frowned at this and said, "He's not just any human! He's the Child of Mew over here! He may not be a super special hybrid like the rest of you, but he's done a lot of great things."

Ash couldn't help but smile at the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Thanks pal."

Mew floated up to Articuno and smiled politely, "The Pikachu speaks the truth. I am the boy's Memma, he was orphaned at the tender age of three due to an incident with the Fearow flock near Pallet Town."

"If this is the truth, why have you not yet transformed him into a hybrid?" Articuno questioned.

"I wanted him to earn the power, you know as well as I do that some of the hybrids have gone bad without proper guidance to show how to take care of the world with their powers." Mew explained to Articuno, "Because a lot of them were transformed so quickly, they never realized how hard it is for normal humans to live in this world. I wanted Ashy to experience that before I give him the powers of a Mew. You know that my powers are beyond most Pokemon, with the ability to create more creatures that live in this world, it's important my child learns before I give it to him."

Articuno gave a nod after hearing the explanation. "I suppose that makes sense. I found Glaciem stranded here several years ago. She was only an infant, I can only assume her parents were lost at sea, and she was dying. She couldn't live in the cold like that, so I had no choice but to take her in and transform her into a hybrid to save her life. She just reached an age where I'm teaching her how to fly. Once she can do that, she can meet other people and Pokemon and become more social."

Glaciem smiled a bit, "I'd like to see the other hybrids too. I know there's a rebellion that's being established, and I'd like to help. None of you seem bad and Mew, you don't seem incompetent to rule the world, you seem to be making better choices than most other Legends."

Mew gave a small giggle. "I don't rule the world sweetie, I just watch over and take care of it. But a lot of Pokemon, legendary, hybrids and regular, all seem to have the wrong idea. Most of it came from misunderstanding or a rumor."

Glaciem smiled, "Well, when the war does happen, and it will, I see it in the hearts of all the Pokemon who've heard the rumor. I'd like to see our side prove Victini's pokedex entry wrong."

"That'd be nice." Ash said. "After all if Victini really can make it so its own side will always win, then we're all screwed."

Glaciem looked at Mew, "Then what happens when Victini faces a Victini?"

"Nobody would win. It wasn't a problem before since there was only one Victini in existence, until she got a son. Still, I don't think he would turn against his own Memma so easily." Mew explained.

Glaciem nodded, "Well, I would hope not, if he did, he'd make a very unreliable ally, and I'm sorry to cut your visit short, but I believe your ship is leaving, judging by the increase in Pokemon I can detect in the ocean."

"Yeah, we should get going soon." Blue said.

"I can't wait to get back into the sun and sea." Yellow smiled dreamily.

Ash turned to Glaciem before taking out the Pokegear he got from Tyra a while back, she still hadn't called him yet which he could take as a good sign since the rebellion hasn't been formed yet. "Glaciem, do you have a Pokegear? It'd be easier to keep in touch with you in case we need to in the future."

"Memma gave me one to keep updates on the human world outside." Glaciem nodded. "I'm surprised how sturdy it is to be honest, it can take the cold and still run like it's no problem."

Mew laughed, "It's the one of the only things humans made to last."

Ash just nodded a bit, "Okay, I'll give you my number so you can call whenever you feel the need to."

"Great, it'll be nice to be able to talk to someone other than the water Pokemon that live here and Memma. Not that I don't love her." Glaciem smiled as the two began exchanging numbers.

"A hybrid of Rayquaza gave me this Pokegear, she said she'd call me to update on what's going on with the rebellion. Memma said she's worried that explosion in the Safari Zone may trigger it, but I hadn't received any calls yet so I'm going to take that as a good sign." Ash explained. Then the Pokegear rang as soon as Ash finished his sentence, and on the screen Tyra's name flashed. "... That's… not good…"

Right then, let me get this out of the way now; I've seen people complaining that every important character Ash meets is now a hybrid. I apologize if you don't like that, but it's too late for me to change that now. And since Key left me it's gotten a lot harder to do this since half of this stuff was his idea in the first place, and working with an unfamiliar co-writer hadn't worked out all that well for me either. Donfyre's becoming a staple as a co-writer, unfortunately he hasn't read nor have the time to read all of Child of Mew and its sequel. So I find myself between a rock and hard place right now. So I'm going to give you guys a choice here;

I can keep going with this story or...

I can give it a complete reboot.

And when I say 'reboot' I mean when I start Child of Mew over the story will probably be much different from the original. I may not put in as much anime elements this time, I may not even add in Misty and Brock as travelers anymore since I just want to focus on a few characters at a time. And Ash will still capture Pokemon but he will not have a relationship with every single one, just the team he's going to use throughout the story. This is to prevent the reboot story from becoming too lengthy and complicated. But again, this is up to you guys, like I said I can keep going with this one or I can give it a reboot and change it entirely. And if you do vote for the reboot, tell me what you want to see in it, like would you want me to bring back the hybrids or leave them out this time? I'll leave this story's future in your hands. I still would appreciate a review about the chapter and not just for the sake of voting however, I'd like to know what you guys thought of Blue and Yellow's backstory after all.

Anyways, that's all I have to say for now. I am DarkFoxKit and I look forward to hearing from you.
