February 2016 Prompt: diamond ring
Title: Heart of Stone

Warnings: non-Dramione pairing
He stared at the ring, the diamond shimmering in the mid-day sun, casting little prisms of rainbows over the three-course meal she was eating. Her voice was like warm honey. Her eyes sparkled with happiness. Her smile was more radiant than the sun.
Everything was picture-perfect for a proposal.
So he sneered in disgust at the display before him, especially when the Weasel leant in for a kiss from Granger. They looked sickeningly sweet together. He threw them a mocking jibe as he stood up and walked away.
Envy burned in his veins, knowing she would never willingly be his.
