DarkFoxKit: Hey everyone. I'll bet you're all wondering why I've been updating so fast lately. Well Shadows of Kanto is all finished actually. I'm just updating them weekly now. Okay, so I've been putting this off, but I do have someone helping me out with the story to keep me going. Doing it by myself hadn't been very productive, so I had enlisted Aegis Dragon to give me the push I need. In return, I let him write in his own OC, and that is Andreas the Lugia hybrid. So please don't get upset with me for making an OC a main character, at least for the time being, the character roster may change (aside from Ash of course) in the future. So I can't promise who will stay in the story, but I do still have plans for Blue, which won't happen until the third arc since this one is about finished. Anyways, I also want to say to check out another Pokemon fanfiction called The Coming of Darkness. It's still a working progress, but it's something Aegis Dragon had been working on and as thanks for helping me get through Shadows of Kanto, I've been helping him with that. Feel free to check it out if you want. I also have plans for Donfyre since he's been helping me a lot with various stories I've been writing, he'll be making a debut along with the leader of the Elite Rockets, so look forward to that. Anyways, I've talked long enough up here, please enjoy the chapter.
Chapter 40: A Team Introduction
Ash was nervously waving to the Raichu and female Pikachu.
Both of them had their jaws dropped open when they saw the Pichu just turned human right before their eyes.
"But you… you were just… then he…" Elecha was at a total loss for words it seemed.
Volt couldn't even speak, just staring shocked. Several seconds passed like this until they burst burst out at once,
"What?!"
Ash gave a nervous chuckle, "I-I know, it's really weird and shocking, but you see… uh… this Pokemon here is called Mew…" he gestured to the pink Pokemon giggling beside him. "And she can transform other beings if she wants to, and she sometimes turns me into other Pokemon like that Pichu."
"You guys know about the legend of Mew, right?" Storm asked the two, though he was very amused with their shocked reaction.
Volt shook his head. "Yeah, she… she created Pokemon. But that kinda clashes with the stories that Arceus created everything. There was always debate among the clan about who came first. Mew or Arceus. But…" He looked up at the pink cat in amazement. "You're Lady Mew?"
"Please, just call me Mew. 'Lady' just makes me sound like an old human. It's nice to finally meet the family of Storm." Mew smiled to them. "And Arceus is a bit of a special case. He wasn't exactly born like other Pokemon, but in a way he did kind of come from me. Bits and pieces of my DNA ended up in the center of the universe that created the egg Arceus came from."
Volt shook his head. "This is a lot to take in," he said. Then he turned to Ash. "But… what does that make you?"
"I'm… someone she's raising, but I'm not a Mew myself," Ash answered. "It's a lot to take in, I know, but I think I've kept my friends waiting long enough. So, do you two still want to be captured?"
Volt shook his head."Wait, wait wait, but this means… All of those stories that I've been hearing about Legendary Pokemon adopting human children… they were all true?"
"Wait, what?!" Elecha exclaimed. "You never told me about any rumors like that."
Volt scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, but… I just didn't think the Clan needed to know them. They just seemed like the ramblings of madmon."
"Well it's true, the proof is right here." Storm pointed to Ash and Mew. "And they seem to be more common than you'd think."
Volt shook his head again, trying to bring order to the chaos in his head. "And you decide to just spring this on us now, when we're about to make a decision that will completely change the course of our lives?"
"Hey, you two wanted an adventure, well you got it." Storm smirked at Volt. "You going to back down now because my Trainer is being raised by Mew?"
"Heck no!" Elecha suddenly blurted out.
Volt looked over to her, shocked. "Elecha, what-"
"You wanted an adventure, right? To see the world? What could be better than traveling with Mew herself?"
Volt simply sat there for a while, staring as his gaze moved from Elecha, then Ash, then Storm, and finally to Mew. After almost a minute, he nodded. "Alright… I guess I'm in."
Ash gave a small smile, "Alright, now you two just need to tap these Poke Balls and you'll be inside. That's how Trainers capture their Pokemon."
Ash held out two Poke Balls, patiently waiting for the Chus to tap the balls when they're ready.
Elecha barely hesitated before bounding over and eagerly placing her little paw on the ball, as a red light shot out and enveloped her before dragging her inside. It clicked after a mere second.
Volt, on the other hand, stood there for a moment, hesitating yet again as he tried to process everything that had been presented to him. After a minute or so, he walked forward and hesitantly tapped the ball, and was drawn in like Elecha. The ball shook violently for a few seconds before it was still. Volt had probably just been shocked by the process.
Storm looked up at Ash, "Think they'll be okay with going to Prof. Oak's lab?"
"I think they'll be just fine, Storm. Professor Oak is great at taking care of Pokemon, I just hope he doesn't get overwhelmed," Ash said as the two Poke Balls in his hands began flashing; after all it was against the rules for a Trainer to keep more than six Pokemon at a time. Before long, the two Poke Balls that contained Elecha and Volt disappeared in a flash.
"Well that's that! Shall we continue on our way to Viridian City?" Mew smiled. "I have a feeling things are about to get very interesting."
"Mew, when things get interesting with you, that's a bad thing for the rest of us," Storm grumbled as he crawled on Ash's shoulder.
Ash made his way out of the Viridian Forest as Mew transformed into a Meowth again. The boy sighed in relief when they got into the city, but it was still dark out. Ash wasn't sure how he was going to find Blue, Yellow and Andreas out here.
"Maybe they're in the Pokemon Center," Storm suggested.
"Yeah, we should stop by there for the night anyways," Ash agreed. "And maybe call up Professor Oak to see if Elecha and Volt made it there safely."
"You do that, meanwhile I'm going to relax in your backpack for a few hours," Nya said as she jumped into Ash's backpack and snuggled inside. "Oh, you should probably do something with this Shadow Noibat you've kept in here all this time, Ashy."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about it." Ash frowned. "I'll have to ask Andreas if he knows anything about Shadow Pokemon."
Ash came into the Pokemon Center, and there he saw Blue and Yellow talking about something, and Andreas was feeding his Pokemon.
"Oh good, looks like the gang is all here," Ash chuckled as he approached them.
Andy turned when he noticed Ash. "There you are! What kept you guys? Blue's been dodging all of my questions."
"I just figured you should hear it from Ash," Blue said.
"You guys smell like electric mice," Yellow said. "What have you two been doing?"
"Hey! I am an electric mouse!" Storm grumbled.
Ash chuckled sheepishly as he said, "Well… Memma decided to let Storm have a… family reunion…"
Ash told the story about how he was a Pichu and Blue was a Raichu and about the Chu Clan and Storm's refusal to become its chief to stay with Ash.
Andy whistled. "If things are this lively with you all the time, I'll have to stick around," he said, smiling. "I can't let you hog all of the action for yourself."
As he spoke, a green, regal looking serpent Pokemon slithered over from one of the Nurse Joys and quickly wrapped herself around Andy's torso. Rather than panic, he simply smiled at it and scratched underneath her chin. "How'd it go, Raela?"
"As it usually does. She found nothing wrong other than the usual battle wounds. You simply must stop obsessing every time one of us gets so much as a scratch, Andy."
The boy simply chuckled. "Can't help that you guys are like family to me."
Blue looked at the serpent Pokemon curiously. "I've never seen a Pokemon like that around here."
When Blue scanned it with his Pokedex, it said, "Pokemon is not native to this region."
"Oh, that's right. I never got Professor Oak to update this thing to the National Dex," Blue grumbled.
Andy chuckled. "She's a Serperior. They're native to the Unova region, but they're pretty rare. She was my starter when she was still a timid little Snivy."
Storm was looking a little nervous around the Serperior.
"That reminds me, why did you come here if you started in Unova?" Ash asked in curiousity.
Raela looked over and noticed Storm, before giving him a menacing grin, then wiping it off her face before anyone could notice. She was going to have fun with this little mouse.
"I wanted to start competing in Leagues where everything started. Kanto was the first region that had one, you know, so I figured, why not start here?" He smiled. "That and Kanto has the most sightings of Mew on record, so I figured my best shot at finding you was here."
"So that means you're going to compete in the Indigo Plateau too?" Ash asked. "How many badges do you have now?"
Storm gave a glare at Raela. His body tensed when he noticed that grin. He knew that Serperior had something planned for him.
"Seven. Haven't done the Elite run, mind you, but I still tried to give myself a challenge." He pulled out his badge case and showed it to Ash, to reveal several badges that were different from his.
Ash only saw one or two badges that he recognized, that being the Boulder Badge and the Rainbow Badge.
"So you fought with Brock's father and Erika?" Ash asked when he saw those two badges. "And what do you think about the Elite run?"
"I wanted to try it out for myself, but I needed to stay under Team Rocket's radar while I was looking for you. I mean, in their eyes, if I'm not with them, I'm against them. So I decided to try out some of the lesser gyms in less populated areas to avoid being discovered."
"So what will you do for your last gym badge?" Ash asked. "As you know I'm going to challenge the Viridian Gym. I hear it's the strongest gym in this region, but I haven't been able to really train my team very well yet, I don't think they're ready to take it on as they are now."
Andy smiled. "I heard that Viridian Gym allows double battles. Maybe I could join you?"
"Wow, really? I didn't think they allowed double battles around here too often. The Indigo league's always been strict about that," Ash said.
"The other regions are different. Unova allows double and even triple battles, as well as something called 'rotation' and 'reverse' battles."
"That sounds really awesome. I can't wait to try those battles," Ash said with an excited smile.
"By the way, did you guys recruit Zapdos?" Blue spoke up. "Ash and I managed to get Moltres and his child on our side."
"Yeah, we were able to get Zapdos and his child on our side, although Andreas was pretty nervous around Zapdos. I can't say that I blame him since he is part Flying type." Yellow smiled.
Andy rolled his eyes. "I wasn't exactly going to walk in like I owned the place. That would've just made me look arrogant about who my Memma was."
"Well we got all night, why don't we share our stories together and then train our Pokemon in the morning?" Blue suggested.
"Our Pokemon too?" Yellow asked.
"Yup. We need to be sure they're ready for anything, including if and when one of the Elite Rocket members decides to try and attack us, or if that Hoopa Pokemon decides to come back for round 2," Blue said.
"What about your old team, Blue? They seem pretty strong," Ash suggested.
Blue sighed before he said, "I promised myself not to use them until I'm ready, so I'll just stick with the four I have right now, thanks."
"Oh, this is a great idea Green!" Yellow smiled excitedly. "You and I could train together while Ash trains with Andy. It'll be a great way for those two to get to know the other's team so they can plan for their double battle!"
"My thoughts exactly, Yellow." Blue smirked.
"I like that idea," Ash nodded. "What do you think, Andreas?"
Andy smiled. "Sounds like a plan to me."
"So how did you and Yellow manage to recruit Zapdos?" Ash asked.
"We went into the abandoned Power Plant, and boy was there a lot of Voltorb and Electrode around," Yellow said. "but I saw some cute Pikachu running around there too, and even an Electabuzz!"
"Yeah, that's where the the Chu Pack goes to, while the Chu Clan lives in the Viridian Forest," Storm said.
"Did you meet the parent or the child first?" Ash asked.
"The child, Tesla," Andy said. "She was… shocking, to say the least."
"The child was a girl?" Blue blinked. "Wow, I always thought Zapdos as more the masculine one of the bird trio."
Andy snorted. "Just cause Gardevoir look like they're wearing dresses doesn't mean all of them are female."
"Or that not all Mr. Mime are male, some are female despite the 'Mr.' in their names," Ash said with a chuckle.
"I know, I know, I'm just saying it's quite… shocking to hear there's a girl Zapdos," Blue laughed at his own pun.
Yellow rolled her eyes at her brother's antics. "So anyway, Tesla was someone who got easily annoyed, it was kind of hard to reason with her, but thankfully her Memma was a lot more willing to listen."
"How were you able to convince them on our side?" Ash asked.
"Like you suspected," Andy said. "Tesla calmed down when she found out my Memma was Lugia, and Zapdos listened to our story. He seemed pretty understanding of the whole thing."
"Well that's good. Moltres and his child were a lot easier to talk to," Blue said. "Magnus is Moltres' child, though the color did make him look a little feminine, so I guess that evens up the female Zapdos thing. He was a lot older than both me and Ash, and he's a lawyer, so he's really understanding with the whole situation."
Andy blinked. "A lawyer? That's surprising. Most hybrids have been rather withdrawn from the human world."
"There are a few exceptions to that," Blue said. "I'm actually one of them. I prefer to be more with the modern human world than seclude myself from it. Of course, that was before I decided to 'disappear' after my loss against Red in the Pokemon League."
Yellow nodded, "But yeah, most hybrids do prefer to stay with their fellow Pokemon, hidden from humanity. I prefer being with nature and Pokemon, but I don't mind humans too much. I did live in an island with very kind and nature-loving people."
"I take it you usually stay in the ocean your family, Andreas?" Ash asked. "That is where we met; under the ocean."
Andy nodded. "It's a whole nother world down there. And it's beautiful. It's home to me."
"I prefer rivers myself, but the ocean really is like a whole other world," Yellow said with wonder in her eyes.
"Wow… I wish I could see what it's like," Ash sighed.
Then the clock on the wall dinged before a mechanical Pidgey came out. "Eleven o' clock! Curfew time! Curfew time! Curfew time!"
"And that's our cue to turn in for the night," Blue said as he stood up and stretched.
Andy chuckled. "I forget how much humans micromanage their lives. I mean, a curfew? Seriously?"
"Heh, well it's how humanity's society works," Ash chuckled.
Storm nodded before he said this directly to Andreas, "Just make sure you keep your Serperior far away from me as possible. I rather not wake up somewhere inside its stomach, thank you very much."
Andy raised an eyebrow. "Raela? She won't bite. She's harmless."
Behind Andy, the Serperior gave another menacing grin, out of sight of the rest of the group, before leaning down and nuzzling Andy, causing him to chuckle and gently push her away.
Storm ducked behind Ash's head and frowned, "Says the Trainer she absolutely adores. Ash, we're locking the doors tonight and cement the cracks so her vines don't get in!"
"Okay, okay, relax Storm, geez," Ash chuckled, but he knew his friend was genuinely worried about the predator snake being so close to him.
The next morning, while the sun was starting to rise into the sky, two Trainers were still asleep in the Pokemon Center. Blue and Yellow were still sleeping comfortably in their beds. However, two other Trainers were outside of the Pokemon Center and standing in a big field meant for Trainers to test out their Pokemon.
"We might as well get an early start," Ash said, yawning a little bit. "I've never done a double battle with you before, so we should show what Pokemon team we're currently using."
Andy nodded. "Well, you've met Raela," he said, as she slithered down onto the field and struck the regal pose her kind were known for. "She's faster than you'd think, but she needs to get up close to really deal some damage."
He then took out his five other Pokeballs and tossed one, revealing the Luxray from Cinnabar. "You've briefly met Ion before. He's another speedy one, but not my fastest. My strategy with him is to get close and deal heavy damage with moves like the elemental fangs without pausing to allow my opponent any time to think."
Ion gave a courteous bow. "I look forward to battling alongside you, Child of Mew."
Ash gave a smile and bowed back in respect, "I hope I do not disappoint."
"Now that's a tough looking Electric type," Storm said as he admired the Luxray.
Andy smiled at the interaction before tossing another Pokeball. This one opened to reveal a bipedal, blue and black jackal-like Pokemon with spikes jutting out of his paws.
"This is Rogue. He's a Lucario, a dual Fighting and Steel type that can keep an opponent guessing with ranged attacks like Aura Sphere, or close ranged ones like Force Palm."
The Lucario also gave a courteous bow. "It is an honor to meet you, Ash. My master has told me great things about you."
"Whoa! This Pokemon looks awesome!" Storm said in awe again.
"I've heard a lot of great things about your species, Rogue. I look forward to seeing what you can do," Ash said as he gave a respectful bow back.
Rogue smiled and stood up straight, moving to join Ion and Raela as Andy brought forth his fourth Pokemon. And out popped a moth-looking Pokemon with a crest on it's head and six fiery wings.
"This is Soleil. She's a Volcarona. She's remarkably fast and can deal a lot of damage from a distance. And any Pokemon that get's too close to her risks getting burned by the scales that are spread from her wings."
The fiery Bug type flew straight for Ash, stopping when she was more or less inches from his face.
"Hi! Nice to meet you!"
Ash and Storm both jumped back from the sudden in-the-face interaction.
"Uh… h-hello!" Ash awkwardly waved back.
"Good thing Misty isn't here…" Storm said with a sweatdrop.
Soleil buzzed back over to Andy, excitedly flying around him a bit before joining the rest on the field.
Andy took out his fifth Pokemon, a beautiful serpent with blue and red scales, a cream body, and a fanned tail.
"This is Nami. She's a Milotic. Not only can she deal some heavy damage, she can take a lot of punishment as well."
The Water type gave an alluring smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Child of Mew."
"Whoa! That's a really… beautiful looking Pokemon!" Storm said as he stared at the Milotic as if in a trance.
"Wow. So this is what a Milotic looks like up close. It's even more beautiful than in the pictures. It's a pleasure to meet you, Nami," Ash said.
With that, Andy withdrew his final Pokeball, this one a Cherish ball, hanging on a chain around his neck. "This one is special to me. I try not to use her much, since I'm still training her."
"Oh wow, I didn't know that Cherish Ball was an actual Poke Ball," Ash said in surprise. "What Pokemon is it?"
Andy smiled. "See for yourself."
He tossed the Cherish Ball, and it popped open, revealing a pinkish Pokemon with large ears, a forked tail, and a red jewel in it's forehead. Once she was out, she looked around, and beamed when she spotted Andy.
"Memma!"She shouted as she bounded over and leapt into his arms, nuzzling him furiously.
Andy chuckled, stumbling a bit. "Hey, sweetheart. It's only been a day."
The Espeon giggled and kept nuzzling him. "I know. I'm just happy to see you again!"
Ash and Storm stared at the display of affection.
"'Memma'? Did you hatch that Espeon from an egg?" Ash asked. He had heard of Trainers hatching and raising newborn Pokemon, but this was the first time he's ever seen such a thing in person.
Andy nodded. "Yeah, I did. Her name is Amara. I rescued her egg from some thieves that tried to steal it from a day care. The couple that ran it decided to give it to me." He looked down at her with very clear love and affection. "She's my daughter in all but blood."
"Wow… I don't know whether that's really, really sweet, or really… really weird," Storm said as he sweatdropped.
Ash smiled, "I think it's sweet. It's a bond beyond just Trainer and partner. Maybe I could raise a newly hatched Pokemon one day and see what it's like being a Memma."
Andy looked up at Ash and smiled. "Whether or not it's yours, it'll be the happiest day of your life. Trust me on that." He gently set Amara down, and she bounded over to the others. "Now, why don't you show me who's been fighting alongside you for all this time?"
"Alright. But... I am kind of envious of you. How long have you been training? All of your team is at their fully evolved stage," Ash asked curiously as he reached into his belt for his five Pokeballs. "And you've already met Storm here, he's my first partner. He's been through a lot with me and he can be pretty snarky as you could tell, and he hates being inside a Pokeball, which is why I keep him out here with me."
Andy smiled. "I've seen enough of Sparky there to know that." "Hey!" "And I've been training for... two or three years now, I think."
"Wow, you've really been at it," Ash said before he took out a Heal Ball. "Alright, come on out!"
The Heal Ball released a Bulbasuar.
"This is Konoha. I met him in a hidden village a while back, he was taking care of sick Pokemon there. We became friends after I helped save them from being stolen by Team Rocket, and he's a very responsible Pokemon," Ash introduced.
Konoha walked up to Andy and extended a vine. "It's nice to meet you."
Andy blinked at the human-like gesture and smiled, taking the vine in hand and shaking it. "Nice to meet you as well."
After that little vine-to-handshake, Konoha retracted his vine and nodded in approval before standing next to Storm.
"Next is Kooper," Ash said as he released a white Premier Ball.
A Squirtle came out and gave a smile. "Hiya, what's up?"
"Kooper here used to be in a Squirtle Squad that were abandoned by their Trainers. They played pranks on the townspeople, but after going through one of Memma's games, we end up becoming friends," Ash explained.
Andy smiled. "A Squirtle with swag. Interesting."
"Heh, better believe it!" Kooper winked before going over to Storm and Konoha.
Ash took out a Cherish Ball next, and opened it. A shiny Charmeleon came out of it.
"This is Scorch. She was a Charmander when we first met. She was abandoned by a very ignorant Trainer, but she knew enough to keep herself in good health by the time I came around. She knew about me and decided to travel with me, she may have been small but I could always count on her with a battle got really tough," Ash said.
Scorch just gave a smirk and crossed her arms in a prideful way. "Of course, what can ya do when your Trainer is a magnet for trouble?"
Andy blinked at the Shiny Chameleon. "Okay, not only are you lucky enough to get your hands on three of the rarest Pokemon in Kanto or even the world, but one of them is shiny? And yet, your luck is still terrible enough that someone tries to kill you every other day? How on earth does that work?"
Ash gave a sheepish chuckle, "You'd be surprise how my life works… And are these starter Pokemon really all that rare? I mean, Professor Oak gives these away like almost every year."
Andy nodded. "In the wild, yeah. All of the Pokemon that are used as starters are almost extinct in the wild. Most of them still exist because of breeding programs. That's how Professors get their hands on them."
"I suppose that is true… I rarely see these guys in the wild," Ash said as Scorch made her way to the others. "I mean, these three all came from Trainers that left them. Anyways…"
Ash pulled out a Luxury Ball next, and released the Pokemon inside. It was a spiky haired Eevee.
"This is Eon. I found her buried under some sand in the beach near Bill's lighthouse. She was all alone after her family had been caught and sold by poachers, so she decided to go with me," Ash said.
"Hello there. It's nice to see Ash is making new friends," Eon said, a little shyly.
Andy smiled gently at the little fox's shy demeanor. "He needs as many friends as he can get these days."
Eon gave a small smile before she went over to the others.
"And last but not least…" Ash took out a Safari Ball and released a Dratini.
"Meet Aliana. She's actually my newest team member. I caught her in the Safari Zone just before it got blown up," Ash said.
"Are you another one of Ash's friend? Maybe you can help stop those evil people before they blow up anymore homes or steal anymore families," Aliana said.
Andy raised an eyebrow. "An entire Safari zone blew up?" Andy whistled. "Attacked by Hoopa, turned into a Pichu. Never a dull moment with you, huh?"
"Heh… when you're the Child of Mew, it's never going to just be a mundane life," Ash chuckled sheepishly as Aliana slithered to the rest of his team. "Well, this is the team I'm training, but as you can see… two out of six of them are only in their middle stage evolution."
Andy nodded. "That's not necessarily a bad thing. Some Pokemon learn their most vital skills before they evolve. For instance, if you evolve a Pikachu into a Raichu before training it much, it doesn't learn moves like Quick Attack, and can't get the speed advantage that would otherwise be available to them."
"Yeah, we already figured that out when we fought with Lt. Surge's Raichu," Ash chuckled.
"I don't want to evolve anyway. I prefer being a Pikachu," Storm said.
"But since this is the strongest Gym in all of Kanto… It's hard to be confident in a team of unevolved Pokemon," Ash said. "Not that I'm saying they're weak, it's just… well… I'm not sure if I'm training hard enough, you know?"
Andy smiled. "What you think of as a hinderance is actually an advantage. It means people will underestimate you, which gives you the chance to play the weakling, and then throw your opponent off guard."
"Yeah, I guess you're right. We rely more on strategy and attack combination rather than raw talent or power," Ash said. "Blue's been teaching me that too. So how do you usually battle?"
"Tactics, tactics, and more tactics. Each Pokemon has it's strengths and I use them to the fullest. But my absolute go-to strategy is relentless attacking, so my opponent can't get a chance to even think of what to do next before I've already hit them several times."
"Yeah, I do notice most of your team are more for relentless offense and heavy hitting," Ash nodded. "So maybe we can plan out how to combine our tactics and strategies."
Andy nodded. "I'll need to know your strategy first, though."
"Well, since my team are smaller than most evolved Pokemon, I rely on speed or stealth if it's possible. Then I try to combine my Pokemon's attacks to make them stronger, to help make up for the fact their own stats aren't as high as the more experienced, evolved Pokemon. I suppose the best way to show you is to have a sparring match together," Ash said.
Andy nodded. "Sounds good." He turned to his team. "Rogue."
"Yes, master?"
"You're up."
The Lucario gave a nod before walking in front of Andy, facing Ash, and adopting a fighting stance.
"Alright, then I'll use Scorch against you. Let's do this, Scorch!" Ash said with a battle ready smile.
"I'm ready!" Scorch roared in excitement as she jumped in front of Ash, her tail flame flaring up.
DarkFoxKit: I realized that when Aegis Dragon's character showed his team to Ash, Ash's team seemed pretty weak in comparison. While yes I could have Ash evolve his Pokemon a lot sooner, I'm also following the anime. I want Ash to remain the underdog hence why I held back on evolution for his Pokemon, but that doesn't mean he's weak by any means and I will let him evolve his Pokemon eventually. I know that some of you will disagree with this and want Ash to be strong quickly, but it's just how I work. So anyways, I am DarkFoxKit and I look forward to hearing from you.
