DarkFoxKit: Alright, so the time has finally come to see if Konoha the Bulbasaur will evolve or not. In the canon, he's still a Bulbasaur, but let's see if it's any different here. Also, there's one last chapter after this one and Shadows of Kanto is finished. I will be posting the last chapter on May 1st this Sunday on my birthday, because I can't think of a better day to end it.
Chapter 46: The Secret Garden of Evolution
"Memma?" Ash looked around in the dark stadium. There were Pokemon fighting each other all around him. The Pokemon weren't simply battling, they were fighting to kill. It was a bloody war.
Ash ran across the stadium while the cries of Pokemon in agony screamed around him.
"MEMMA!?"
Ash kept calling for his Memma, she had to be here somewhere.
A bright pink ball of psychic energy fell in front of him.
"M-memma?" Ash looked down at the pink ball that fell.
Mew was badly beaten, she laid there on the ground. Looking up, Ash could see shadows of other Legendary Pokemon, all glaring down on them.
"Stop it! Please stop! Don't hurt my Memma!" Ash cried and begged the shadows.
The shadows ignored the boy's plea and powered up their attacks.
"Please… no…"
Ash screamed as they blasted at him.
Ash yelped as he jerked up in his bed and panted. The boy was covered in sweat and he was trying to calm his beating heart.
Ash grumbled to himself, "Nightmares…"
Deciding that he couldn't sleep, Ash decided to change into his usual clothes and take a stroll outside for some fresh air. It was still pretty dark out, but it was a full moon tonight, and its light was pretty bright out.
"Konoha?" Ash spoke up when he noticed his Bulbasaur partner sitting outside.
Konoha turned to Ash, "Oh… I didn't expect you to wake up for a few more hours."
Ash gave a shrug, "Had a hard time sleeping, just came out here for some fresh air. Is everything alright?"
Konoha sighed as Ash sat down beside him, "It's just… this whole evolution thing. I'm not sure what to think of it."
"Do you want to evolve?" Ash asked. "It's okay if you don't, Storm doesn't want to evolve and I can respect that."
"Well… when I was a younger Bulbasaur, I used to hate the idea of becoming a Venusaur. I didn't like the idea that I'd get a big, heavy flower on my back for the rest of my life," Konoha confessed. "But… thinking about it now, Venusaur never seemed too bothered by their flowers. And I do want to be stronger. It's just… I'm not sure if I'm really ready to evolve… to change."
Ash nodded as he listened to Konoha. "Evolving is a pretty big change, both physically and mentally. I can't say I know what it's like, but I guess to a human it's the equivalent of growing up. Maybe you can talk to Flutter or Scorch about it since they've evolved before."
Konoha looked up at the sky and said, "Yeah, I suppose I'm just scared. I've been a Bulbasaur for so long, it's hard to imagine myself as something else."
"So what are you going to do, Konoha?" Ash asked. "This is your choice to make."
The Bulbasaur sighed and said, "I'm still unsure if I want to evolve, but… I do want to get stronger, Ash. I want to be able to fight for you and to protect you. This is war coming up, there can't be room for hesitation."
"But you are strong as you are now, isn't that enough?" Ash asked.
"You've seen what those Elite Rockets used. We've seen what Hunter J used. We've seen what Giovanni used. You're the underdog compared to them. I want to show them that you can be strong too, with strong and evolved Pokemon."
Ash nodded. He understood how Konoha felt. He was torn between staying as he is and evolving to become stronger.
"Well, if you feel you need to evolve, then go. I won't stop you," Ash said softly.
Konoha hesitated and said, "If… if I'm going, then… Ash, could you come with me? If I'm going to be changing, then I want you to be there to witness it."
"But humans aren't allowed in the mysterious garden," Ash said.
"Then ask your Memma to transform you into a Pokemon or something, I don't want to go without you," Konoha said.
Ash sighed, but he wanted to help Konoha any way he can. "Alright, I'll ask Memma if she can transform me."
Ash walked back into the house, going to Mew's room.
"Memma?" Ash called.
Mew was sleeping in her bubble, wrapped up in her tail. She groaned as she groggily woke up to her child's call.
"What's wrong, Ashy?"
"It's Konoha, he-"
"Just let me read your mind, it'll be quicker."
A few seconds later, Mew nodded in understanding. "So Konoha wants you to go with him, huh?"
"Yeah… so I was wondering if you could turn me into a Pokemon so I could go with him," Ash said.
"Hmm… well, even if you were a Pokemon, the Bulbasaur and Venusaur wouldn't want any other Pokemon there during the evolution, not unless you're a Bulbasaur yourself ready to evolve," Mew said.
Ash frowned before thinking about what she said, "... Is it possible to turn me into a Bulbasaur then?"
Mew tilted her head a bit, "Hmm… you know, I never once had to 'evolve' while I was transformed into a Pokemon before. I'm actually not sure if it's possible to even evolve while transformed. And if you don't evolve, then you're gonna be in big trouble with the others. The Bulbasaur have a strict rule about… not evolving during the evolution process."
"You could just transform him during the process and make it look like evolution," came a voice from the door.
Ash jumped as he spun around to see a familiar face. "Andreas? How'd you get in here? And it's the middle of the night!"
Mew smiled playfully, "That's actually a good idea, Andy! Oh, and why are you here?"
Andy smiled. "My Memma and little brother were actually visiting Kyogre, so I was able to kill two Pidgey's with one stone and get done much quicker."
"So you decided to come and visit now?" Ash asked. "In the middle of the night… in our house… Is there any particular reason?"
Andy shrugged. "I've never really had a great concept of time. Living most of your life on the bottom of the ocean will do that."
"Right… well since you're here, I take it you know what's going on? Konoha's going to the mysterious garden to evolve and he wants me to go with him," Ash said.
Andy nodded. "Mind if I come too? I've always wanted to visit that garden, but I've never had the time nor the means."
"You sure you want to be a Bulbasaur?" Ash asked.
"I'm sure they'll be thrilled to have a legendary among them for the festival," Mew giggled. "Well we better do this soon, Konoha's waiting."
Ash closed his eyes as Mew tapped his forehead. He felt his body shrinking down and a weight coming onto his back, forcing his body to get down on all fours. When the transformation was complete, Ash opened his eyes with Mew showing a mirror in front of him. Ash was now a Bulbasaur, the only thing that made him look different from other Bulbasaur were the eyes; they were black instead of the usual red.
Ash turned to Andy and said, "So how do I look?"
"Like a Bulbasaur," Andy said plainly, smiling.
Mew looked outside the window and said, "Well you better hurry and get out there. The Bulbasaur may get the wrong idea if they see one of their kind just sitting out there."
"Alright, let's go," Ash said.
Mew turned herself invisible so nobody else would see her following her child.
"Anima! Take care of the house and my child's Pokemon while we're gone, okay? We're going on a field trip!" Mew called out to the Mr. Mime.
Anima cocked her head in curiosity before smiling and nodding. "Everything will be as it is now when you return."
"I'm counting on you Anima!" Mew said.
"W-wait! Ash is going without me?" Storm yelled, running to the black-eyed Bulbasaur. "Noooo! We stick together!"
"S-Storm, I'll be back before long. I can't have a Pikachu come with me to the Mysterious Garden," Ash said to the Pikachu hugging his bulb. "Besides, who's going to be in charge of training the others while I'm gone?"
"H-huh?" Storm looked at Ash. "Train them?"
"Yup, just because I'm away doesn't mean you can all slack off. I'm counting on you to help train my team while I'm away, Storm. Can you do that for me?" Ash asked.
Storm gave a nod and said, "I'll do my best, Ash. But promise me you'll be back soon!"
"I promise, Storm." Ash smiled.
Ash came outside with his new Bulbasaur body, seeing Konoha there.
"Ash?" Konoha hesitantly asked.
"Yes, it's me Konoha, and Andreas is coming with us," Ash said, gesturing his head to the human behind him.
Andy smiled at the Bulbasaur. "Nice to see you again."
Konoha blinked before he smiled, "Andreas! I didn't even know you were in Pallet Town. You're coming with us? But don't you have to be a Bulbasaur to get into the Mysterious Garden?"
Andy shrugged. "Mew seems to think that being a Lugia will suit me just fine."
"Uh… okay. I guess if Mew thinks it's fine… We better go and follow the pollen now," Konoha said.
Ash looked around the place and could see the pollen as clear as day. They were pretty bright and were all flowing in a stream through the air.
"It's beautiful," Ash said as he and Konoha began following the stream of pollen.
"Yeah, nature is beautiful, but it can also be scary," Konoha said in a big brotherly tone.
"You don't need to tell me twice," Andy said, unable to see the pollen, but joining the conversation anyway. "I lived in the sea for most of my life. Both one of the most beautiful and deadly places on the planet."
"I'd like to see what's it like in the ocean myself. I've only got glimpses of it before, mostly it was during a Mew Game or trying to get to shore," Ash said. "But one of these days, I'd like a tour in the ocean parts."
Andy gave him a smile. "If your Memma is willing, I can show you a few places of interest. I've traveled across the entire ocean, so I know all of the best places."
Konoha noticed something ahead and said, "Andreas, if you want to change into your Lugia form, you might want to do it now. We're about to run into a herd of Bulbasaur up ahead. I'm pretty sure they will not want a human to be following them to the Mysterious Garden."
Andy nodded as a light enveloped him and he began to grow, and soon, a shiny Lugia walked beside them.
As the three came closer to the Bulbasaur herd, they could hear them singing about evolution. They were all pretty excited.
Konoha gave a small frown, but Ash tapped him on the back with his front paw to reassure him.
One of the Grass starters eventually noticed them. "Hello fellow Bulbasaur! Come and join the group. Hmm? … Is that a bird following you?" It sounded feminine.
Andy raised an eyebrow. "Bird? I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've been called a bird."
An older looking Bulbasaur came up and said, "Heh, sorry. My sister isn't too familiar with other regions yet. We plan to explore when we evolve though. I know what you are; you're Lugia, the Guardian of the Sea. It's an honor to be in your presence."
Andy smiled. "The honor is mine. I've long been curious about the Garden that your kind frequent. But to speak the truth, you're only half right. I'm not the Lugia you are probably familiar with, but I am his son."
"The son of Lugia, huh? I wasn't aware Legendary Pokemon could have offspring. It must be very rare then. Will you be joining us to the Garden then? I'm sure our Venusaur Guru would be excited to have a Legendary guest." The Bulbasaur said.
"I'd be delighted to join you."
Ash noticed the female Bulbasaur was looking at him. "Uh…?"
"Wow… I've never seen a Bulbasaur with eyes like yours. You're kinda cute," The she-Bulbasaur said, smiling at him.
Ash began to sweat a bit. "Err… I'm uh…"
Andy laughed aloud at Ash's response, enjoying the flustered reaction he had.
"Maybe after we evolve, you would be interested in joining us for a little exploration?" She asked the black-eyed Bulbasaur.
"Hey, hey, he's a little young for that right now," Konoha stepped in.
"The shy type, huh? Don't worry, I can wait," The she-Bulbasaur winked.
"Ugh, come on sister, we better get back to the herd," The older Bulbasaur grumbled as he used his vines to push her away from Ash.
Konoha sighed and said, "Better watch your step Ash, sometimes around this year, certain… species of Pokemon will be looking for a mate."
Ash grumbled as his face turned red, "What have I gotten myself into? I'm already raising a mon!"
"And it looks like she might be getting a female Memma soon," Andy teased.
"Oh shut up!" Ash growled in embarrassment.
They could hear the invisible Mew giggling above them.
They followed the herd of Bulbasaur. Ash was surprised to see more and more Bulbasaur joining them. He had no idea Kanto had this many Bulbasaur. They've always been rare and hard to find, so to see this many Bulbasaur at once was really surprising.
"Most of these Bulbasaur are owned by Trainers or Breeders, Ashy. They come together with the wild ones to evolve. After all, Kanto is a big place." Ash heard his Memma tell him telepathically.
Ash was astounded as he looked around his surroundings, making sure to stay close to Konoha and Andy. The pollen stream were coming from different directions before coming together in one big flow, like a river almost. They were soon passing a forest while the moon raised into the night sky, providing them with light. Ash noticed the vines around the trees were moving a little, it almost freaked him out if he didn't know there was a Venusaur nearby. They soon came across a huge clearing, where there was a big open plains with flowers blooming. There was a huge withered tree in the middle, as well as a large stump. The pollen were all gathering into the withered tree.
Ash and Konoha stopped as they had reached their destination. The Bulbasaur herd around them dispersed, but never strayed too far from the tree itself. It was like one big party for Bulbasaur.
"Whoa… so this is the Mysterious Garden," Ash said as he looked around in awe.
The Lugia contented himself with looking around, equally awestruck. "This reminds me of one of the coral reefs off the coast of Hoenn."
Konoha looked around as well as the Bulbasaur began to sing more loudly than ever.
"I guess this is it, once the evolution process begins, there's no going back," Konoha said nervously.
"I'm sure you'll make a great Ivysaur, Konoha," Ash said, trying to reassure his friend.
"Y-yeah… but I just… never wanted to evolve before, so I'm still not sure if I really want to do this," Konoha sighed.
"You said you wanted to be stronger for the war," Ash said. "The decision is up to you, Konoha."
Konoha looked up at the sky and said, "I know, and I feel like this is the right thing to do… it's just… it seems so final now that we're here, you know? There's no going back once I evolve."
Ash looked over at Andy, hoping for some words of encouragement.
"Evolution isn't just change, Konoha, it's growth. Raela was terrified of evolving at first, but she's been happy with herself ever since. And it's not just physical. Remember when I told you that she used to be pretty timid? Evolution is what helped her grow out of it. It grows upon your dominant personality traits while shading over anything that opposes it. So the good become better, while the bad become worse."
"Yeah, remember Scorch? She told me she had wanted to stay as a Charmander longer, but she made herself evolve when I was in danger. She became a lot stronger, but I've noticed she's a lot more brave and fierce than when she was as a Charmander. You're a very caring Bulbasaur, Konoha. I have no doubt you'll be an awesome Ivysaur who cares and gives for both nature, Pokemon and people." Ash smiled with confidence.
The Lugia smiled. "The ultimate guardian of your family."
Konoha looked at the two of them before nodding, "Yeah, maybe you're right. I've spent my life as a Bulbasaur for eight years, much longer than most of my line have even been an Ivysaur. It's time I face my fears and mature finally, and let my bulb grow. Just as Melody would want."
One of the other Bulbasaur walked up to Andy and said, "Excuse me, Mr. Lugia? Venusaur Guru would like to talk to you before the festival begins please."
Andy blinked curiously before smiling and nodding. "Lead the way."
Konoha and Ash watched as their Lugia friend followed the Bulbasaur into the withered tree.
"Hey Konoha, why don't we sing along with the other Bulbasaur? Maybe it'll help make you feel more ready to evolve when the time comes," Ash suggested.
Konoha gave a small nod. It was a catchy tune anyways.
While they joined in with the singing, Konoha thought about his past, during his time with Prof. Oak, when he was chosen by a snotty Trainer who didn't actually want him. When he was abandoned and picked up by Melody. Then he thought about when he met with Ash and eventually became a part of his team. They went through alot together, through crazy Mew Games and traveling the region, getting stronger together. It was like saying goodbye to an old friend but also opening the page to a brand new chapter.
Ash looked at the withered tree in awe as it began to come to life. The branches began to grow and buds of beautiful flowers began to appear on it. The Bulbasaur stopped singing as they all looked at the withered tree, seeing it come to life signals the beginning of the evolution festival. There was a loud sound coming from the tree, something that sounded like heavy footsteps. A silhouette appeared in the tree, before it came out of it, coming up on top of the large stump as if it was a stage.
"Whoa, Venusaur sure is a lot bigger up close," Ash said in awe.
The Venusaur let out a proud roar before it said, "Greetings all Saurs of all ages! It is now time for the wondrous evolution festival. It warms my heart to see so many young generations to come and move on to the next stage. Now before we begin, there is a special guest I would like to introduce. A young Legendary Pokemon had decided to join us today for this season, and it is an honor to have him here today. Saurs, I would like you to meet the Child of Lugia!"
At this, Andy stepped forward, gazing out at all of the Bulbasaurs and smiling, giving a small bow. "You have my thanks for allowing me here today. Seeing the world and all of it's wonders has been one of my greatest dreams, and this is the first opportunity I've had to see the Garden. And it certainly doesn't disappoint."
The Bulbasaur all looked in surprise at the Lugia, but they were excited and happy nonetheless.
Ash and Konoha gave a small wave to Andreas, though they weren't sure if he could see them.
The Venusaur Guru spoke up, "And now, without further ado, let the main event begin. The seeds and pollen of all plant-life in the region had come together for this moment. They will be absorbed into your bulbs, giving them the nourishment and power they need to grow and evolve. Roar along with me, Saurs, for this is a proud moment for you all!"
With that said, the Venusaur Guru let out a loud roar. "SAAAAAAUUUUUUURRRRRRR!"
One by one, all of the Bulbasaurs in the garden joined in the chorus of roaring, a cacophonous sound that could be heard for miles.
Ash and Konoha soon joined in as well, it felt liberating roaring along with the chorus. For Ash it was nice being able to see what it's like from a Bulbasaur's point of view, and for Konoha it meant he was declaring he was ready to finally let loose and not hold back.
After one final roar, the Bulbasaur began to glow one by one. The bulbs on their backs were showing signs of absorption. The Venusaur Guru waited for the crowd to quiet so they could concentrate.
Ash felt Mew's paws rubbing his back, making it look like he too was going to evolve. It was breathtaking watching the Bulbasaur around him all eagerly waiting while their bulbs took in the pollen. Looking over at Konoha, he could see his bulb glowing along with the rest of them.
A few Bulbasaur in the front were already beginning to evolve. Their bulb stopped glowing and began to shine brightly along with the rest of their body. Both the body and the bulb grew bigger, and Ash could see the bulb opening up through the shine. Pretty soon, the shine dissipated, and in the Bulbasaur's place was an Ivysaur. More rows of Bulbasaur shined brightly as they too evolved. Ash watched Konoha as he looked up at the sky as a Bulbasaur one last time, before letting his bulb shine brightly to join his species in evolution. Ash felt Mew changing his body slowly.
While Ash was being transformed into an Ivysaur, he kept his eyes on his partner. Watching Konoha evolve was almost surreal. Like with the other Bulbasaur, his bulb and body grew bigger, and it opened into a bud. When the shine faded away, Konoha was no longer a Bulbasaur, in his place was a new Ivysaur. At the same time, Mew finished Ash's transformation, making him an Ivysaur too.
A few more Bulbasaur were still evolving, but Ash felt proud as he looked at Konoha. He was bigger, stronger and fiercer.
"How do you feel, Konoha?" Ash asked.
"I feel different, but… also a little more liberated in a way," Konoha answered, his voice had gotten deeper.
As the last of the Bulbasaur had finished their evolution, the Venusaur Guru let out a different kind of roar. It was a proud one, but more on par of 'you've done it' rather than the 'it's your moment'.
The Ivysaur all roared back in the same fashion, including Ash and Konoha. It was a wonderful and educational experience for them all.
After the evolution process was over, the Ivysaur used their pollen to bring the withered tree back to life, making it blossom. Andreas was watching this all in awe. And pretty soon the morning sun was rising, it was time to go home. The Mysterious Garden disappeared into the mist.
DarkFoxKit: I guess Andreas didn't need to be there, but he needed to be there for the last chapter anyways, so might as well let him witness the evolution. Anyways, on with the reviews.
The Richmaster: Anima was Aegis Dragon's idea really. And I hope you enjoyed Konoha's thoughts.
Seaman109: You think so, huh? Yeah, I agree.
PsychicEevee0103: Anima was Aegis Dragon's idea, but Angel is the name I give to my Togepi and I thought it was fitting. As for Konoha saying he never thought about evolution, he means it hadn't crossed his mind in a long time. Back when he was younger, he didn't think too much about it, just that he didn't want to change. I hope this clear things up.
KaliAnn: Yeah, character development is nice.
thor94: The detail that Mr. Mime helped raise Ash was added on by Aegis Dragon, originally it was just the mother, father and their pet Meowth. Yeah, Konoha evolved.
penguinfan28: Noice!
Foreman88: Too bad the cats tend to get stuck in the trees. Well I've already made the decision as you can see. ^^'
TrainerIndigo: Thank you.
The Rocketman: Heh, I actually agree. I like Bulbasaur and Ivysaur, but Venusaur just looks like a giant grump with warts. And don't even get me started on its bloodshot eyes in the Pokemon Stadium series.
POKEMON GUEST: I don't even know if I'll do the Johto region, but I guess we'll see if I do, huh?
JadeKnight: Yup, Konoha has evolved!
Lover of Pokemon: Thank you.
Joltik12: What do you want me to do with a baby? And anyways, the relationship between Ash and Togepi will happen, just not until later. The first question; hybrids should be impossible as far as professors believe. Human DNA can't mix with Pokemon DNA, at least that's what it's always been believed. You wouldn't have a profession research the color of the sky since it's already obvious that it's blue, why would you bother? And I'm afraid I can't answer the second question as I either I don't have an answer or there would be spoilers. There will be more evolutions, and as for Eon, that's... undecided right now.
ultima-owner: Metronome is random and awesome, you'll never know what you'd get.
firestar91: Thank you. The war? Yes, it's gonna be the big thing in the third arc. Togepi is cute, but it kinda bugged me in the anime because it was just there to be cute, nothing more. I actually prefer Togetic. I also like Togekiss, though they could've done a better job with the design. Have you seen my past AN about my opinion on Lucario?
AShinyBlueMew: Aegis Dragon handled Mr. Mime, I don't really like that Pokemon myself... it looks too human... with some problems. Heh, that's actually why I hadn't evolved Kooper yet, because I wanted it to resemble Pokemon Trainer from Smash Bros, and I also prefer Ivysaur over Venusaur. Thanks for your words, I don't like the idea of getting older but might as well try to be positive about it, right?
Aurorabeam Corporation: Not going to say much? You've said more than most reviewers had in a while. ^^' There wasn't any real plot in the first book, it was just me having Mew mess around Ash's journey. Still, I know that feeling of being able to read a book that's already completed, so no worries about cliffhangers or having to wait for the next chapter. In my book, it's not because Legendary Pokemon can't give birth because they're genderless (Mew isn't, she's female here), Mew just didn't give them the necessary... ahem... organs to reproduce because they're already very powerful, and she worries the planet can't take too many of them. Manaphy is her first experiment to give birth. The AN isn't long, it's just answering back to a lot of reviews. Thank you.
Caboose-TMC: Oh... sorry for Ark then.
pikachucat: Thanks.
PokeFanficReaderB: Hah! Another one who likes Ivysaur way better than Venusaur. I probably won't evolve Konoha to Venusaur, because I don't like how tired it always looks, plus the bloodshot eyes it has in Pokemon Stadium really made it creepy. Heh, I'm glad you like Konoha's protective nature towards Ash. I can hardly wait to get Ash into a baby Mew state.
anjanishe: Was that supposed to be a poem? ^^' And thank you.
Me: Nice name. Konoha evolved. You do know Garchomp is just as overused, right? Besides, I'm trying to stick with Kanto Pokemon right now.
Sailor Pandabear: Thanks.
223: Thank you.
Qwertypip: Evolution takes time. ^^'
TrackTiger101: Interesting theories there.
WhiteMantle: You didn't know it was going to be a Togepi even though it was stated the egg came from a Togekiss? I only found one cat, the other two are still lost. Prof. Oak is unfortunately someone who must remain in the dark, for now or forever? That remains to be seen. Well, Konoha got to evolve, now he's an Ivysaur. Oh my, I would hate it if I accidentally deleted all my work, especially if I didn't save. O.O That did happen once, oh I hated it. And I appreciate long reviews, but it does take up my time because I have to answer back to all of them. ^^' Thank you!
Averagefish: I'm the type of person who's rarely proud of herself, but thanks for the word of encouragement, and thank you for enjoying the story despite the messes. Some people left a review, telling me they couldn't stand reading it because of grammar errors, so I appreciate those who plow through anyway despite that.
KitsuneShin0bi: You make a good point about the legendaries. The hybrids do make it more interesting as they have the best of both worlds. You're shipping Yellow with... okay, I assume they're Latios? Hoopa IS able to go to alternate universes, but only with the help of Palkia, it can't do it by itself, otherwise it just goes anywhere in the world with its rings. The Celebi one had to be from a different universe due to one of my friends wanting to be Celebi.
Slaezzior: Yeah, I just hope she stays alright. And yes, there are some big plans for the next arc and potential sequel.
Cypress Oury: Uh... I don't know if I'll add all of them in, we are only in the Kanto region after all. ^^'
Night Koopa: Um... my favorite? Not sure if I have one, but I guess the one I tolerate the most would be Bianca, mostly because I like that Latias turns into her and it's ambiguous on whether it was her or Latias who kissed Ash at the end of the movie. My least favorite... probably Sheena. She just felt a little bit too much like a Mary Sue for me, what with her power to speak into Pokemon's hearts, able to summon Dialga, and made things worse for Arceus later on before correcting her mistake with her ancestor. To be honest though, all the characters you listed have something about them that I dislike, but I won't go into detail for the sake of time and length.
