The restless crowd began to settle as President Auri strode out of the Capitol building, followed by a small boy carrying an old, white box.

She stopped in front of a large podium, overlooking the large square in front of her. In a sharp voice, she bellowed out into the microphone, "Good evening! ...And Happy Hunger Games! We have another delightful Quell upon us!"

She outstretched her spider-like hand to signal the young boy to come forward. He slowly stepped into the bright spotlight, opening the box to reveal a multitude of yellowed envelopes, with 4 already taken out of their slots in previous years. Sliding the delicate envelope out of its slot, she slowly opened it to increase the tension.

The crowd was growing anxious to hear the announcement, and people could be heard already guessing as to what the words could be. The crowd grew deathly silent as they noticed President Auri's face loose its color; she had been reading it to herself while she awaited the crowd to settle down.

"For the 125th Hunger Games..." she gulped loudly "in order to show that no great power can protect you from the Capitol...all the tributes will be drawn from the names of relatives of previous tributes..."

Silence...and a pin was dropped...
