Luigi, Dry Bowser, and Petey Piranha left Toad Town, heading westward as they noticed more homes destroyed. The trio were on the lookout for Metal Mario, with there being more clues that the metal capped rival of Mario was behind all this. The only thing they didn't know, was why.
"Say, don't you have all types of jobs?" Luigi asked as he rubbed his big nose, gulping.
Dry Bowser brushed back his red hair. "You could say that, yes."
"Then why aren't you helping out my bro back in Toad Town?" Luigi spat out as he moved his arms frantically.
Dry Bowser closed his eyes and clenched his fists, stopping his walking as he let out a huge sigh before speaking again. "Because I rather find the source who's causing this then get right to work. Can you imagine all that progress being for naught because we let the problem go unsolved?"
Petey nodded his giant plant head in agreement as he was searching through various garbage bins for some bizarre reason, with Luigi and Dry Bowser exchanging looks of confusion.
"Why doesn't he say anything?" Luigi asked while pointing at Petey.
Dry Bowser rubbed the back of his skeletal head, "I don't think he feels like talking."
Petey shrugged as he dove into the garbage bin, only to emerge out as Metal Petey, due to wearing a metal cap on his bulbous head. Luigi and Dry Bowser looked at each other oddly as the ground beneath them began shaking, with all three falling through as they ended up in a dark, creaky lair... made of metal.
