AN/ Hi. I'm overwhelmed with all the response I've gotten for this story. I seriously didn't think that people would like it so much.
As always thank you so much for your reviews and support. It means a lot to me and it made me write this loooong chapter even though I've been super busy this week.

Chapter 10
Making Friends
Jack's room was fairly small and unlike the rest of the house it wasn't impressive at all. To the right stood an unmade bed and by the opposite wall from us was a desk, placed right under the only window in the room. It was totally covered with books, papers and other things. To the right of the desk there was a book shelf and to the left were three closet doors reaching all the way up to the ceiling. Everywhere lay piles of clothes that had been carelessly thrown in all directions.
I landed on a lamp that was placed on the bedside table. From there I had a pretty good view over the entire room. I spotted another door on the wall straight across from the bed. It had been left slightly opened, letting me get a small peek through it. From what I could tell it seemed to lead to a bathroom. Letting my gaze wander I noticed a guitar standing in a corner. I cocked my head to the side. I didn't know Jack played guitar…
I glanced at him with interest. The brunette was still standing by the door, having placed his ear against it. He seemed tensed as he listened carefully. I found myself getting tense as well, anxiously waiting for him to give me a signal telling me that the coast was clear.
After a few moments Jack stood up straight, looking over at me.
"Okay we're good." He said quietly. "Dad's still downstairs. I think he'll be in his office until supper…But we need to be quiet. He hates to get interrupted…" Suddenly becoming aware of something Jack let his gaze wander across the room. "Oh ehm… If I'd known I would get visitors I would've cleaned up this place…" He scratched his arm awkwardly, looking away. A small tweet came out from my beak, as a result of me chuckling in amusement at that. I didn't really care about what his room looked like, but I found the way he almost seemed to be embarrassed by the mess he'd created pretty cute.
After a moment of silence he gave me a curious glance.
"So…" he started. "…what were you doing in our house?" I looked up at him, not knowing if I should answer that. And even if I decided that I wanted to; how would I be able to?
Jack realizing that I wouldn't reply any time soon threw out another question, trying to narrow my answer down.
"Were you looking for something?" He must've noticed that he was on to something by my reaction to the question, for he got kind of a smug expression on his face. "I'm not stupid, you know," he said. "You were reading in there, weren't you?" The way his eyes were looking into mine was almost mesmerizing and even though I wasn't sure that I should, I gave him a nod. He processed the answer, before taking a step closer to get a better view of me.
"What was it you were reading about?" I couldn't really answer that although I let out a small whistle to let him believe that I did try to tell him. He folded his arms across his chest, pondering.
"You can't really talk to me back, can you?" I shook my head. "Okay…But you do understand what I'm saying, right?" I rolled my eyes and gave him a nod. I thought we'd been over this...
"Good…then I guess I just have to come up with the right questions…"
He thought for a few seconds. "Did you sneak into our house by yourself?" I nodded. "So no one else is around?" I shook my head 'no'. "Okay…So no one sent you here?" I didn't know what to answer to that, thinking about Claire. I didn't think it would be such a great idea to let him in on her…
When he didn't receive an answer quick enough he continued.
"Okay, new question… Where do you come from?"
"Tsiip."
"Sorry, forgot you can't really answer that… Do you have any place to live?" I thought about that for a moment. I had a home, but I had been brutally kicked out of it when Evelyn had taken my body and my life that came along with it. Facing the fact that I was indeed homeless I shook my head, looking down.
"Hm…" Jack nodded, as if he'd almost expected that answer. Walking over to the bed, he sat down, his face about level with me. "You're not just an ordinary bird, are you?" I froze at that question. Had he figured out who I was?
Jack was looking curiously at me, waiting for my reply.
Slowly I started to shake my head back and forth. He nodded before looking down at his hands, fiddling with them. He was thinking, I could tell. Of course he must be confused over all of this and it took a while before he'd thought through what he was about to say next.
"Thank you for helping me in the office earlier," he said. "No one has every really done something like that for me before… It kind of made me figure that maybe…" He gave me a quick glance before turning his face away again. Even though he tried to hide it I hadn't missed to see the red colour that was expanding across his cheeks as blood pumped through his veins. I cocked my head to the side, finding myself smiling at the fact that he was blushing. He took a deep breath before looking up at me.
"Maybe you were…" He suddenly got quiet, tensing up. Confused I watched as his eyes grew wider before I heard the heavy footsteps making their way up the stairs. "Quick, hide." He whispered, waving at me. Wasting no time I jumped off the lamp and quickly flew in under his bed, hiding among dirty socks and dust bunnies. I was too anxious about who was coming to really care about my surroundings though. The footsteps grew louder as they got closer, until they stopped right outside the room. A knock on the door was heard.
"Jackson?"
From underneath the bed I could see Jack's legs as he made it over to the door, opening it.
"Yes sir," he said. I frowned a little. Who calls their father sir like that?
"Could you come with me for a second?" Mr Brewer said in his normal calm and steady tone. Although that didn't feel reassuring, not any longer…
Jack let out a small sigh before following his father back downstairs. They'd left the door opened and being too curious for my own good I came out from my hiding place and flew out after them. Being so small I was pretty sure that I would be able to watch them without being seen…
I kept a safe distance though. The adrenalin pumped through my veins as I almost felt like a spy on a secret mission. Just as I had predicted they went straight to the office. I didn't dare to follow them in. It would be too risky. Instead I waited outside the half-opened door, carefully peeking inside.
Mr Brewer took a seat in the chair by the desk, fixing his gaze on Jack who stood by the other side of the table.
"Jackson my son," he started, a smile playing on his lips. It didn't feel genuine though and it gave me the shivers. "Do you notice anything out of order in here?" Jack gave him a nervous glance before looking around the room. I felt myself getting worried too. Had we missed something? I was pretty sure we'd been very careful to put everything back just like it was before.
Jack clearly couldn't find anything wrong, which bothered him I could tell as he had started to nervously fiddling with his hands. After some hesitation he answered quietly;
"No sir." The man chuckled at that, looking up at his son who kept his gaze to the floor.
"I really thought you would be smarter than that son," he said and quickly reached over for the lamp standing on the desk, grabbing it and putting it down right in front of Jack with unnecessary force. The sudden movement startled Jack who jerked slightly, bracing himself.
"You see that?" Mr Brewer said, pointing at the lamp foot. From where I was I couldn't see anything wrong with it, but obviously up close it was pretty easily spotted for Jack saw it instantly.
"I'm sorry," he said, looking from the lamp to his father.
"That lamp cost 49 dollars." Mr Brewer leaned back in his chair and folded his arms across his chest.
"It still works," Jack pointed out.
"It's damaged!" Mr Brewer said, his voice coming out harsh.
"I'm sorry. It was an accident." I could hear that Jack was starting to get upset and he talked a bit louder than he usually would. "I didn't mean to break it. What more do you want me to…?"
"Responsibility!" The man exclaimed, slamming his fist down against the desk, causing Jack to jump. Rising from his seat, Mr Brewer pointed his finger at Jack while continuing to yell. "I want you to take responsibility for your actions! I am sick and tired of your behaviour! WHEN ARE YOU EVER GOING TO LEARN?!"
Silence.
Jack stood unmoving while Mr Brewer panted slightly, calming down from his outburst. The man straightened his suit, waiting for a reply. After a few seconds the teenager finally brought up the courage to say something.
"I'll pay for it." Jack said quietly, still looking at the floor. Mr Brewer nodded, seeming satisfied with that offer.
"That's more like it," he said, much calmer now. Sitting back down again he picked up a pen and pulled out a piece of paper, starting to write things down. Jack glanced at him, curiously peeking at the things he was writing. The man noticed him lingering though and looked up.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" he wondered. "Go get the money."
"Oh… yes, sir…" Jack excused and quickly headed for the exit.
Realizing that he was coming my way I quickly got going, flying as fast as I possibly could through the house.
Returning to Jack's bedroom I snuck in under the bed just as I heard him walking up the stairs. The moment after, I could see him entering the room.
I got out on the floor so that he would easily spot me, trying to act as if I'd been hiding under the bed ever since he'd left. He didn't walk up to me as I had expected though, but instead made it to the desk. Quickly he found the cylinder shaped piggy bank among all the stuff that covered the furniture. Using his arm he shoved all the things that were in the way aside, clearing a spot where he could empty it. He opened the piggy bank and turned it upside down, coins and bills scattering all around. Sorting it all up Jack began to systematically count the money.
When he was done he turned around and reached out for a pair of jeans that had been tossed over a chair. He grabbed them and started going through their pockets, finding a one dollar bill and a few coins. Collecting the money, he put them with the rest on the desk and threw the jeans aside before heading for the next pair.
Being busy going through all his clothing and other possible places in search for money he didn't even look my way, making me believe that he'd forgotten about me.
I kept watching him as he gathered the last money. Standing by the desk he counted them one last time before grabbing the bills and shoving the coins into his palm. He then quickly left the room again and just like last time I flew after him, being careful not to be seen.
Jack stopped outside the office, knocking on the door.
"You may enter," a voice said from the other side. With the permission to go inside Jack opened the door and walked straight in. I flew up as close as I dared to, wanting to see and hear as much as possible.
Mr Brewer sat in his chair. He smiled when he saw Jack, looking to be pretty pleased that the boy had returned with money in his hands. Something seemed to bother Jack though and it was with a certain amount of uncertainty that he placed the money down in front of his father.
"That's…" he started, giving Mr Brewer a quick glance. "That's all I've got…"
The smile on Mr Brewer's lips disappeared immediately, but he didn't say anything. Reaching out for the money instead, he started counting them. Jack watched him worriedly, holding his right elbow with his opposite hand, hugging himself like he'd done at the dojo earlier.
Once Mr Brewer was done counting he looked up at the boy with a serious expression on his face.
"Here's only 42 dollars and 65 cents…" he said.
"I know…" Jack replied quietly.
"Where's the rest?"
"I don't have…" Jack started but was cut short.
"You should've thought of that a little earlier! Preferably before you go ahead and destroy things that don't belong to you!" Mr Brewer said, raising his voice and flinging his hands irritated in the air for emphasis. "Now, where do you suppose I can by a 49 dollar lamp for 42 dollars and 65 cents?"
"I…I'll… I'll get the rest." Jack stuttered nervously. Mr Brewer looked at him for a moment, before leaning back in his chair.
"Okay," he said, his voice back to normal again. "I'll give you a chance to get the money. You've got one week."
"Thanks sir," Jack said humbly.
"You have to earn them though. You're not allowed to steal them like last time..." Mr Brewer pointed his finger warningly at him. "Is that understood?"
"Yes,"
"Good." Mr Brewer said and grabbed the pen again. "You may go." Jack nodded and turned on his heel, heading for the door. But just before he reached it, Mr Brewer spoke up.
"Oh and one more thing Jackson..." Jack stopped in his tracks and turned to face him again. "When I was over at Ms Turner earlier I noticed her mailbox was gone. I found it lying on her lawn about twenty feet away from where it should be as if it had been exposed to some kind of force… You don't happen to know anything about that, do you?" The man raised an eyebrow in suspicion. Jack kept his face blank though.
"No," he answered. Mr Brewer nodded.
"That's what I thought…" the man mumbled and got back to his work. Jack turned to go and just like before I flew back to the room reaching it long before him…
~~~Wings of Love~~~
I sat on the lamp. Jack had gone down for supper, leaving me alone in his room. He'd been pretty low when he'd returned from the office and he hadn't talked much. Already knowing what was bothering him, I hadn't tried to push him into talking. Instead I had left him alone with his thoughts as I had concentrated on coming up with a plan to get myself out of this mess.
I had made the decision to not try and make contact with Mr Brewer. At least not yet. I wanted to do a little more research by my own first, before I would decide what to do.
I had also come to realize that I wouldn't be able to solve the whole 'soul switching body' problem tonight. So making the best out of the situation I tried to focus on getting to know Jack as much as I could. I had a golden opportunity here and I was not about to let that go to waste.
Jack had been gone for a while as I took another flight around the room. I had found everything from 'Karate fancy magazines' and schoolbooks to colourful drawings he'd made himself as a kid, but the thing that caught my attention the most was a photography standing on his bedside table. It showed a much younger and somewhat cuter version of Jack. I would guess that he must be around eight or nine in the picture. Behind him stood Mr Brewer -who really hadn't changed that much- along with a woman I'd never seen before. She was familiar though. I recognized the smile. It was the same that Jack had. I quickly made the conclusion that the woman must be Jack's mother. I frowned. Why hadn't I seen her around?
I recalled Mr Brewer having explained that she'd been one of the reasons they'd moved to Seaford.
'Living in a big city wasn't something for us. My wife Danielle needed to get away from all the stress.' he'd said. That meant that she must be around here somewhere, if they hadn't gotten a divorce or something…
Suddenly the door opened and a tall teenager boy made it inside, startling me slightly. He seemed happier than before as he walked over to me.
"Missed me?" he asked playfully. I whistle, happy to see him actually. Being alone in his room was beginning to get pretty boring. He chuckled.
"I brought you something." It was first now that I noticed him holding a small plate in his right hand. "I figured you must be hungry." He said and placed the plate down next to me on the small table. On it were a few vegetables, a little mashed potato and some breadcrumbs, all leftovers from their supper I'd guess. "Ehm…I didn't really know what you'd eat, so…" he said as I inspected the food. "Just leave whatever you don't like."
I jumped up on the plate excitedly, my empty stomach just waiting to get full. Greedily I started to eat. As a human I was used to eat all of those things, but as a bird I found them tasting quite differently. The mashed potato didn't taste good at all, but I ate it anyway since I was starving. However the breadcrumbs were delicious.
While I ate Jack left, only to return with a newspaper and a towel a few minutes later. I stuffed my little stomach until there couldn't possibly fit anything more, before I got off the plate.
"Wow… you must've been pretty hungry," Jack stated, looking at the plate. I didn't respond, starting to feel a bit tired. He put the plate down on the floor to make room for the towel he'd folded neatly.
"There you go…" He said, putting the soft piece of fabric on the table and fluffing it a little to make it more comfortable. "You can sleep here tonight."
I looked up at him, thinking about what a strange situation I was in. This morning I had woken up in my bed just like any other day, and now here I was having become another person's pet. Jack Brewer's pet…
If someone would've told me earlier that this was where I would end up, I would have thought of this situation as most humiliating. However now when I was here, looking up at the boy I appreciated him taking care of me. If he hadn't offered me shelter then where else would I go?
Jack laid out the newspaper on the floor, not noticing me watching him.
"Now," he started, looking up. "I don't want you to poop on the floor. So here's your toilet."
There's my what now? I looked at him in disbelief as he pointed at the newspaper. "Got it?"
Trying to process what he'd just said I felt myself nod. I would never ever poop on the floor or sink so low that I would poop on that newspaper either. Especially not in front of him…
"Good," he said and went to the bathroom, to make himself ready for bed. When I was alone I glanced at the newspaper. Truth to be told I really needed to go, but there was no way that I would ever go on that thing…
Ten minutes later Jack came back, having changed into his pyjamas. I flew across the room and entered the bathroom, passing a rather surprised Jack on my way. Well inside I saw to my relief that he'd left the toilet seat up, which allowed me to easily use the bowl to do my needs.
Flushing turned out to be the hard part and I struggled to push the button on top of the tank. It was unbelievably hard. I even tried jumping on it without much happening.
Suddenly I heard a small chuckle coming from behind me. I quickly turned around, seeing to my horror Jack leaning against the door frame. How long had he been standing there?
If I would've been human I was pretty sure my face would be red as a tomato at that point, as I found the situation extremely embarrassing. I mean had he seen me…?
Jack didn't seem to notice my reaction as he got over and pressed the button for me, the toilet making an awful lot of noise as it flushed. He kept smiling in amusement while I felt like go hiding under a bridge…
"You're a very strange bird," he said, shaking his head. He threw me a glance. "So… are you done in here or would you like to take a shower also?" he joked. I wasn't really in the mood for jokes though so I flew, leaving the bathroom. I just wanted to go to sleep and forget this ever happened. From behind me I could hear Jack letting out another chuckle as he followed me out to the bedroom.
I tried to ignore the curious looks he was giving me as I landed on the towel. Taking one edge of it with my beak I jerked on it in an attempt to pull it over me as a cover. In the corner of my eye I could see Jack watching me. But I was too proud to look his way and I wished that he would just go away. I didn't need his help.
Jack had folded the stupid towel in such a way though that it was hard for me to fix it so that I could use it both as a mattress and as a cover and I ended up struggling with it. The boy giggled a little as his enormous hand got right in front of my face.
"Here, let me help you with that," he said, grabbing the end of the towel, not giving me a chance to protest. Realizing that I couldn't do much to stop him I reluctantly let him fix it for me. Again I was surprised over how careful and gentle he was as he tucked me in, making sure that I was comfortable.
The towel was much warmer and cozier than I'd expected and soon I was fully relaxed. It'd been a long day and I was tired. Knowing that there wasn't much I could do tonight anyway and that I really needed the rest, I tried to shut out all my worries as I closed my eyes in an attempt to go to sleep.
Beside me I could hear Jack climbing into his bed before everything went quiet. I felt myself doze off, letting the darkness take over. Being on the edge of falling asleep, Jack's voice suddenly reached my ears and I was pulled back to my awaken state.
"There's one thing I've been wondering…" he'd started a little hesitant as I opened my eyes to look at him. He was lying on his side with his hands tucked in under his pillow, supporting his head as his brown orbs focused on me. When he saw that he had my attention he continued. "…You're my friend, right?"
I nodded. I guess I was his friend, even though I'd come here this afternoon with no plans on ever befriend him. But I couldn't see any reasons for not being friends now and for all I knew it could only make my job of getting to Mr Brewer easier. Besides, to be honest, I'd started to really warm up to this boy.
Jack smiled at my answer, before turning his gaze away. His expression got serious again as he spoke very quietly.
"You're the first friend I've had over in six years…"
I cocked my head to the side, watching him. It suddenly hit me how lonely he must've been and how lonely he still was. I knew he was always alone in school and at the dojo or anywhere else I happened to bump into him. No one wanted to talk to him for obvious reasons. At least that's what I had thought. Believing that his loneliness was caused by himself for being such a jerk I had teased and laughed at him for it, reminding him of how everyone disliked him as soon as I had the chance to. In the heat of the moment, it had felt like the right thing to do. Like he'd deserved it. But now sitting there tucked in the warm towel, having experienced a whole different side of Jack; a side I didn't even knew existed before today, I wasn't so sure any longer that I had treated him fairly…
Jack's gaze was empty, as he seemed to have drifted off in thoughts. I whistled, reminding him that I was still there. His brown orbs quickly focused on me.
"I guess I'm not that good at making friends…" He tried to make it sound like a joke, the corners of his mouth twitching as if he was attempting to smile, but failed. I didn't think it was funny though, only sad…
His face got blank before he spoke again.
"I've been thinking…" he said. "…about you and why you're here…" He glanced at me, trying to read me. I was listening carefully, hoping that he was about to bring up the curse and by that way would help me get one step closer to become human again. "Were you sent here to…?" He stopped himself abruptly. "…on a second thought…" he mumbled. "Don't answer that. I don't think I'd like to know just yet…"
I frowned in confusion. What was he talking about?
"Siptii" I sang, trying to urge him to continue to talk. But Jack just smiled at me before changing the subject.
"I'm sorry for chasing you earlier… I didn't mean to scare you. It's just that…" He made a short pause, hesitating. "When I heard noise coming from the office, I knew that someone was in there… and when I saw you I was actually kind of relieved. At first I'd thought it was a burglar… But then I saw you sitting in the middle of all his work and I panicked…" he explained. "Dad's very protective when it comes to the stuff he keeps in his office. He usually doesn't even allow me in there… I only tried to get you out of there. I had no intentions of hurting you in any way."
I could see in his eyes that he was telling the truth, although I had already made that conclusion myself. He'd had plenty of chances to hurt me already, but all he'd done so far was taking care of me and I was beginning to trust him.
"I'm sorry," he said again. "I was just so scared that you'd might ruin something and that he would get mad at me for having let you in…" he adverted his gaze, thinking for a moment.
"It's ironic…" he said. " How my attempts to save his stuff from you to keep him from getting angry only got him ten times madder…" he trailed off.
"Tsip-tik." I said concerned, feeling guilty for just breaking in like that and for getting him in trouble. The boy glanced at me again.
"It's okay. It's not your fault…" He reassured, as if he could read my thoughts. "I always manage to mess things up anyway and dad always freaks… He says that he's only doing what he believes is best for me, trying to teach me lessons to make me a better person…"
Jack looked up at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts again. His eyebrows furrowed. Something was bothering him and I wished that I could ask him what it was. It turned out that I didn't need to though because the moment after he decided to open himself up and speak what was on his mind.
"I don't know how I will get the money to pay for that lamp… not in a week anyway. I have no job, my monthly allowance is gone. I just gave away the last of it… and I can't borrow more money from Rudy. I already owe him like 50 bucks or something…" He sighed, pondering again.
Jack was only 6 dollars and 35 cents short. That wasn't that much…
Suddenly I got an idea how to get them, although it would be tricky and possibly quite dangerous too…
I whistled, trying to cheer him up. I think it worked as he looked at me and smiled, seeming to forget his worries. However it only lasted a few seconds before fear entered his eyes and he brought his finger to his lips, signalling for me to keep quiet. Already having figured out what was worrying him I froze, listening as the now familiar footsteps were making it up the stairs. I cringed, hiding in the towel as they were getting closer. Much to my relief though I could hear Mr Brewer walking past Jack's door and disappearing into another room.
"I think it's best we go to sleep," Jack whispered, reaching for the lamp to turn the light off. He noticed me looking scared as I pressed myself further into the towel. "Don't worry. He barely ever comes in here..." He reassured. "But just in case, don't draw any attention to yourself when he's around and everything will be fine." He turned the light off and pulled the cover over his shoulder, cuddling down into his pillow.
"Good night," he whispered before heading off to sleep.
~~~Wings of Love~~~
Somewhere in the distance I heard someone moving. My eyelids felt heavy and I had to force them open. As I did the sounds got clearer and memories from yesterday started to come back to me. It felt more as if they were part of a dream though.
An evil witch from the past had taken over my body, forcing me to live as a bird with no hopes of returning unless Mr Brewer would help me. A man that I'd felt I could trust until I accidentally got to witness him beating up his son yesterday… All this mess had made me end up in Jack Brewer's bedroom…
Suddenly I was wide awake, the words witch, bird, Mr Brewer and Jack kept repeating themselves inside my head.
Taking in my surroundings I quickly made the disturbing realization that it hadn't been just nightmare. It had actually happened…
The bed next to me was empty, although I knew Jack was around due to the noise that was going on behind me. I turned my head, instantly spotting the teenager boy as he threw a piece of paper into the trashcan. He was already fully dressed and looked to be really busy going through all the stuff on his desk, neatly piling some things while throwing away some other things.
Looking around I noticed that all the clothes lying on the floor had been picked up, which made me wonder how long he'd been awake. Or how long I'd been asleep… The sun was already up, shining through the now opened window.
After doing the last touches to the desk, the boy turned around. The left side of his face had turned into a purple-bluish shade, a bruise having formed as a reminder of Mr Brewer's rage yesterday. Jack's eyes found me and a smile made it to his lips.
"Good morning," he greeted. "Had a good night's sleep?" I nodded groggily. Noticing me looking around the room he said; "This place was kind of messy, so…ehm… I decided to clean it up a bit… It's not everyday I have a guest in here…" He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans, rocking back on his heels awkwardly. Silence filled the room for a moment before he decided to break it.
"So…It's good that you're awake. I was thinking about waking you up…" he started. "I'm going down for breakfast now…but I'm afraid you have to stay here. Sorry." His eyes found mine for a split second, before they turned to the floor. "It's just that dad would…you know…" he shrugged, not knowing how to say it. I nodded, showing him that I understood. Jack smiled slightly and headed for the door.
"I won't be too long," he promised. "And I'll bring something for you."
I whistled in reply, which made his smile grew wider.
"See ya," he said and slipped through the door, leaving me alone.
I caught myself looking at the spot he'd been standing, imagining him still being there. The smile he'd given me had truly been mesmerizing.
I knew for sure that I had loved the way he smiled from the first day I'd met him. But as the time had passed the smiles had become very rare. Frankly I don't think I can recall the last time I'd seen him smile before I became a bird… and I guess I must've forgotten what they looked like…
One thing I knew for sure though was that I felt a strange but powerful satisfaction to make him happy. I wanted to hear his enchanting laughter and to see the sparkle in his eyes.
I looked over at the opened window, thinking about what Jack had talked about last night and how I'd come up with an idea to help him... My plan would be risky, but if it could bring another smile to Jack's face then I think it would be worth it…
Quickly, before I'd change my mind I flew across the room and sneaked out the window, hoping that I'd be back before Jack would notice that I was gone. Flying as fast as I could I began my journey to town, thinking that I must be nuts to risk so much for him…
That's it for now. I hope you liked it even though this chapter was more of a filler...
The next chapter is probably going to be a bit more exciting... If you leave a review you'll get a sneak peek of it, as usual:)
Oh and also I'm gonna give this story a cover pretty soon(I'm still working on it...), just so you don't get confused by the change of image...;P
Thanks for reading my story:)
