Chapter 12

The Rescue part 2

And so, as the three heroes hurry back to Paris after meeting up with Malik by a farm, the royal carriage arrives at the theater. With the help and greeting of two masked foot-women, Yugi and Ryou make their way inside to the royal box. Just as they were rounding the corner to the royal box, the two were stopped by..."Captain Ushio?" said Yugi as the two looked at him in confusion.

"Bon journey, dear prince." Ushio said with a wicked smirk.

Looking around to find that Anzu and Vivian had appeared, Yugi said with a terrible feeling in the pit of his stomach, "Where are Yami and my bodyguards?"

All of a sudden, Anzu and Vivian jumped at Yugi and Ryou with thick chains and quickly wrap the chains around the two with left over chain so that they could pull them away. "I will be your bodyguard tonight, angel face."

Struggling to get out of the chains, Yugi burst at the captain, "This is an outrage!"

"No, it's part of my plan to steal the throne." Pulling the curtains aside, what Yugi and Ryou shocked both of them; in the prince's seat was Rebecca dressed the same as Yugi and had her long blond hair hidden underneath a wig that is a replica of his tri-colored hair. The only difference that was there between the real one and the imposter were the eyes. Rebecca really loves her eye color so she couldn't wear contact lenses that allow her to appear she has amethyst eyes.

Seeing how freaked out the prince is, Rebecca said with a bow, "I hate to do this to you my prince, but I always do what my master orders me to do."

Turning toward Anzu and Vivian, Ushio said as the two used old cloths to cover the boys' mouths to keep them from talking, "You two know what to do?" Saluting to their master to show they understand what they need to do, the girls tugged rather harshly on the chains wrapped around the prince and the royal adviser and led them away. Now with the prince being dragged away, Ushio turned toward Rebecca and said, "All right girly, do your stuff!"

Clearing her throat, Rebecca, acting as the prince called for the audience's attention. "Attention my loyal subjects, I have come to realize that the stress of being a prince has become too much for the fragile angel such as myself to handle. And so, I present your new ruler, King Ushio!" and presented Ushio with a grin.

To see the musketeer captain is now France's new king, everyone in the audience were in a total shocking moment. And so, removing his old outfit as the captain of the musketeers and quickly replacing it with the royal robes of a king and a crown settled on his head, Ushio gave the signal to start the opera.

Outside the theater, the three musketeers arrive just in time. Led by Malik, Yami asks, "Any idea what is going on at the moment, Malik?"

"If I know Ushio well enough, he's having Anzu and Vivian get rid of the prince and royal adviser."

"Any idea how?" Bakura asked.

Shaking his head, Malik said with a shrug, "No idea, but once we found those two, we'll find out." And so the four hurry to find Yugi and Ryou and quickly put an end to Ushio's tyranny.

Backstage, Anzu and Vivian are dragging Yugi and Ryou along with them with the two royals stumbling a few times. Growling, Vivian said through gritted teeth, "At this rate, we will be found out and the boss will be unimaginably furious."

Before the two could continue on, the girls stopped when they saw Malik appear with the three musketeers right behind him. Confused to see their alley with the enemy, Anzu said, "Malik what are you doing with them?"

"Helping my new boyfriend and his friends save the prince and all of France from Ushio's tyranny!"

To see their musketeers alive, Yugi could feel his heart warm when he and Yami locked eyes on each other. Since he could not say anything thanks to the cloth over his mouth, Yugi could only have his eyes sparkle at the sight of his beloved hero.

Being fed up with these girls, the three musketeers drew their swords and preparing to fight, Marik turned toward Malik and said, "I need you to stay out of this fight, Malik-Pretty. Just wait for me within the audience."

As much as he wanted to stay and help his beloved fight Anzu and Vivian and possibly Rebecca, Malik knew that he could possibly get hurt in this fight. So, instead of arguing, Malik simply nodded and went to wait in the audience and pray for the musketeers' victory.

And so charging at the two girls, Yami, Bakura and Marik fight them off with Yugi and Ryou hiding behind their heroes. When the scene of the opera changed from the pirate ship sailing to three women singing and a sword fight that is not a part of the show. With Rebecca waking up the 'king', Ushio looked down at the stage to find the three teens he had assigned as musketeers to the prince still alive with Yugi and Ryou hiding behind their lovers.

Not wanting anything to end his tyranny over France, Ushio ordered Rebecca to help Anzu and Vivian. Even with Rebecca helping, the three heroes outsmarted the girls. With the three girls knocked out for only a couple seconds, Yami scooped up Yugi and Bakura scooped up Ryou and the musketeers ran to the other side of the stage with Anzu, Vivian and Rebecca quickly chasing after them.

Quickly climbing a scaffolding, the three come to skittered stop at the top of the scaffolding with a fake crescent moon hanging in front of them. Having no choice since the three masked girls were on their tails, Marik was the first on the crescent moon to help get Yugi and Ryou on it before Yami and Bakura soon joined them. Then their weight caused the moon to descend down the ropes to the stage.

Not one to let his prize escape, Ushio leaped from the royal box to the sun, causing the moon to be yanked up harshly. Using his leg to stop the ropes so the fake sun and moon to stop in front of each other. Grabbing Yugi's chains, Ushio started yanking the prince over to him but Yami and his friends pulled back to keep Ushio from taking Yugi away. Eventually their grips loosened on the chains, causing Yugi to slip from their hands and started to fall to the stage.

"Yugi!" Quickly leaping from the crescent moon, Yami ran down the scaffolding and standing right where Yugi is falling, he successfully caught the prince in his arms. And so, with one musketeer occupied by trying to untie his prince, Ushio released his grip on the sun, causing the moon to rise back up to the top of the scaffolding, allowing Anzu, Vivian and Rebecca to jump onto the moon. However, in doing so caused the moon to fall down upon the stage at a very fast pace, making them fall right through the wood of the stage.

Hearing a loud thud from under the stage, Ushio turned toward Yami who is working on getting the chains removed from Yugi. While his beloved worked on loosening the chains enough so that he could get him out, Yugi noticed Ushio approach Yami from behind. "Yami, look out!"

Turning around, Yami quickly pushed Yugi behind him and he quickly drew his sword against the musketeer captain. Drawing his own sword, Ushio said evilly, "This is it, former prince."

Getting ready to fight Ushio, Yami signaled for Malik to come up to him. "I need you to take Yugi off this stage and see about my friends and Ryou."

With a nod, Malik said as he gently took Yugi, "I'll even work on getting the chains off."

Nodding to him, Yami got in his stance and the final fight commenced. At the start of the fight, Ushio had proven to be a challenge thanks to his fighting skills, but Yami remained strong for his prince and the sake of France. The moment he saw a chance after Yami had knocked his sword out of his hands and out of reach, Ushio did an uppercut punch, knocking him a few inches away and close to the edge of the stage.

Picking up his sword, Ushio used it to have the tip point right at Yami's heart. Seeing the fear in his eyes with the sword's tip on his chest, Ushio said wickedly, "It's all over, Yami, and you are all alone. Now with you finally out of the way, getting rid of the prince will be easy as pie."

Then behind Ushio, Yami saw his friends pull the moon back up with Bakura holding Ryou close. With the two giving him winks, Yami smirked and said, "You wanna bet, Ushio?"

"Ha, that's a sucker bet."

After handing Ryou to Malik, Bakura then said, "Yeah and this time..." and together with Marik, they sucker punched Ushio and both said, "You're the sucker!"

Tossing Yami's sword back at him, Bakura and Marik pounce from the moon to next to their pal's sides with their own swords drawn. "What do you say guys?" Yami said and then together with Bakura and Marik as they held their swords in the air, "All for one, and one for all!"

The first to approach the villain is Bakura. "How's this for a thief?" Then he uppercut punch him underneath the chin.

Next is Marik. "How's this for a torture master?" Then he round-house kicked him in the midsection.

With his two best friends beside him, Yami approached Ushio and said, "I may be short for my age and for a former prince. But with friends like these two, I don't need a tall height to protect everything I love." To hear Yami say that, Yugi could feel his heart warm up at those words. Seeing the fear in Ushio's eyes, all three musketeers fought him together, turning Ushio into a crippled mess with bruises and black eyes.

And so, with Ushio knocked out, and Malik had successfully loosened the chains from around the prince and the royal adviser, the three hurried to the stage and joined the musketeer they fell in love with. Taking Yugi's hand, Yami held him close while the two gaze into each others deep eyes. With Malik welcoming him into his arms, Marik immediately wrap his arms around him. Standing before each other, with Bakura getting a little nervous, Ryou pulled him closer and started planting kisses on his hero's face.

Surprised by Ryou's actions, Yugi said with a giggle, "Ryou, are you kissing a commoner?"

With a shrug, Ryou answered, "What can I say? I don't care if he's a commoner or not." and went back to making-out with the albino musketeer.

Also shrugging, Yugi leaped into Yami's arms and they kissed with Yami twirling Yugi around a bit before simply holding him in his arms bridal-style. Even though the opera didn't go as it should have, the audience enjoyed watching how the three musketeers rescued the prince and protected France from a terrible tyrant.
