Hey pearls! Sorry I haven't updated in a few days. I had dance then I found out I needed glasses and I had to help my friend deal with a breakup. UGH! So for being late on updating, I'll try to make this chapter longer. I'm not supposed to have school for the next day or two bc of snow so I'll update more.
Anyway, onto the story!
Disclaimer: I own divergent, but not the rights. And that's why my life sucks.
I make my way out of the Hubb with the rest of my new faction and to the train. I dare to look back at my parents and see while my father looks dumbfounded and angry, my mother has tears streaming down her face but she's smiling. I knew my mother would be happy about my decision. I think she always knew I'd become dauntless.
I'm pulled out of thoughts when someone yells "come on! The train is coming!." Everyone starts to Sprint on the train tracks. I didn't even realize I made it up here. I hear the whistle and the train comes up on my left. I jump in and we go zooming by. I almost fall out, but a brown hair, tan skinned gurl helps me back in.
"Thanks." I tell her.
"You're welcome. I'm Christina, by the way." Christina says to me.
"Nice to meet you. I'm-" but I'm cut off by someone saying we need to get ready to jump.
I start to go, but Christina grabs my sleeve.
"I can't do this by myself. Together?"
"Together. On three. Ready? One... two... three!" And we jump out of the train car. I hit concrete and realize we jumped onto the roof of a building.
"Alright initiates! Listen up!" A man says as we all stand up and walk over to him and another guy that has so many tattoos and piercings that he could hold a record. "My name's Max. I'm the top leader here at dauntless. And this is Eric." Max says, motioning to the tattoo guy. "He is another dauntless leader."
"The only way to survive in dauntless is to live a dangerously free life. The way to enter dauntless is to jump." Eric says gesturing to the hole in the roof.
"Is there water at the bottom or something?" A blonde hair, green eyed erudite asks.
"I guess you'll have to find out. So, who's first?" Eric asks while scanning the crowd. A few moments pass and no one volunteers. It's now or never.
"I will." All eyes are on me as I make my way to the ledge. I take my jacket off so it shows my black singlet that I put on this morning instead of my grey one. I turn around so I'm facing the other initiates. I smirk and "See you on the other side." Before I fall backwards. I hear a few gasps coming from the initiates. A few seconds later I hit something hard, but it springs me back into the air. A net. I laugh. It's all filled with hysteria.
People bring the net down and I move off the side. Hands extend to help me out and I take the one closest to me. It's warm and calloused. Probably from punching bags. I feel a spark holding his hand. As he pulls me off the net, I'm met by familiar blue eyes. I would know these eyes from a mile away. The same blue eyes that I fell in love with. The same blue eyes that I could stare into forever.
"Toby..."
Sorry I haven't put any chapters up on either of my stories. I have dance on Mondays, I had an eye doctors appointment on Tuesday (I found out I need glasses) and yesterday my mom's friend took us out for dinner so I haven't really had the time. It's a snow day today, for me anyway, so I'll try to post more today. Leave a review so I know that I'm doing something right lol. That's it. Bye my pearls!
