Omg I am so sorry I've been gone for so long. I was so busy all summer and lately schools been crazy with Marching Band and Chemistry and ugh so much more. Anyway I'll try to never go so long without writing again! Thanks for reading and enjoy!
Disclaimer: Me no own Percy Jackson
I trudged back to school feeling helpless and confused. Even the bustle of my city couldn't help my mood. What was going on? How was this possible? Could it be true? The gods don't exist and everything I once knew (or thought I knew) is gone? I've lost my friends, my powers, my sword and worst of all, Annabeth.
I tried to dismiss the thought from my head but I couldn't, What if everything I think is missing now never existed? What if that was all just some dream and now I've finally woken up to face reality?
"NO" I thought. I refused to let this world become my reality. I would find a way back to the real world no matter what. Perhaps we were all being manipulated by the mist. If so I needed to find a way to get everyone back starting with Annabeth.
By then school had already let out but I figured she had cheerleading practice after school. Quickly jogging to the gym, I scanned the group of cheerleaders for my girlfriend but she was oddly missing. I grabbed the closest girl by the arm and asked where she was.
"Annabeth's probably at after school detention or something. Go check room 303. Now let go of me you creep."
She yanked her arm away and I sprinted off for room 303. Upon finding the room I looked inside and found a group of nerds soling what seemed to be complicated math problems probably having to do with calculus and quadratic functions and things that. At that moment the nerd at the board turned away from the complex problem and I saw her face. It was Annabeth!
Suddenly a broad smile stretched across my face. Maybe this Annabeth wasn't so different after all. A small wad of hope began to build up in my chest. If Annabeth was as much of a nerd here as she normally was then not all was lost. I could get my girlfriend back.
I waited until the math club was over and I came up behind and whispered.
"Nice work. So was it calculus or some other mathy thing.
She jumped and quickly whipped around to face me. Breathing hard, "Percy I swear if you say anything I will rip your head from your shoulders. The rest of the team thinks I'm just in after school detention. If they found out I was a nerd, I would basically have committed social suicide."
I chuckled, "Ok ok Wise Girl whatever but I'm gonna need something in return for my silence."
She rolled her eyes. "Ugh what?! I'll do anything if it'll keep you quiet."
"Anything? Well then you have to promise to tutor me after school every day for the next month. And you have to be nice about it."
She sighed. "Ugh are you that much of a Seaweed Brain that you can't tutor yourself? But fine, one month and then we never speak again got it?!"
I smiled "Ok, got it"
I went home that day feeling much better than I did earlier. Although I still wasn't home, I was almost there. All I needed was Annabeth back and everything would fix itself. I hoped.
