Chapter 8 Congratulations Mr. Finnigan it's a…

The next morning Seamus woke up early to finish some things in the nursery before Hannah woke up. As he was dressing he just watched her sleep. "She is georgous how did I get so lucky" he thought. Their bedroom door had an awful squeak on it whenever you opened it and he didn't want to wake her so he cast a simple silencing charm, he whispered "Silenco". Seamus didn't dare do big spells they tended to back fire. He was much better at simple enchantments and potions.

He was still full from last night. Hannah was such a great cook. That rump roast she made was still making his mouth water. As Seamus walked into the nursery the sun was coming up. They had decided to not find out what the baby was so the nursery was green and yellow with little lambs everywhere. There were only a few things left that needed to be done. In the corner was a rocking chair only halfway put together so he flicked his wand and it started assembling itself. Then there was the boarder that went around the entire top part of the wall and hanging up some clothes. He cast a spell and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

As he entered the kitchen there was an owl sitting on the ledge. "Oh we have mail" he said. There were two letters one to Seamus and one to Hannah. "That's odd" he thought. He put her's on the table and then opened his own.

Dear Seamus,

I hope all is well with you and Hannah. Luna and I are enjoying being home with the girls finally. They have both gained so much weight since they were born. It looks like we are going to have a time with them though. They both keep levitating objects in the house. It was so funny when Francis astral projected herself while Luna was in the lavatory. I just wanted to say thank you again for all that you did for us while we were in the hospital. I will never forget it. Hope you like the picture.

Your Friend

Neville

Seamus looked at the picture of the family. Neville was holding Francis, whose hair was snow white, and Luna was holding Alice, whose hair was raven black. No one would ever believe they were twins. He smiled and grabbed his quick quotes quill. It was easier for him to use one for notes since he was seeing injured players all the time.

Nevill,

I am so glad that things are getting better. The four of you should come to visit one day. Looking forward to Hannah having the baby I want to know what it is. Hoping you have a wonderful day.

Seamus

He quickly ate his breakfast and then sent his letter out with their barn owl. He went back upstairs to check on Hannah before he left. He kissed her cheek and then apparated to the field in Galway. He was the head healer for the National Irish Quidditch Team. They were practicing so hard lately that he had seen five different players in the last week. The team was not doing so well and they were 2-6 for the season. No chance for them to make it to the World Cup this year.

"Top o' the morning to ya Seamus" he heard a familiar voice say.

"Morning Coach Lynch" replied Seamus.

"How is that wife of yours? Do we have a new player yet?" Coach asked.

"She is well and no not yet. I am really hoping for a boy."

"Well give her my best and tell her those photos she took of me in the spring were wonderful.

Coach Lynch walked off. He was the Seeker for the 1994 team who went to the World Cup. He was severely injured by the Death Eaters that attacked everyone after the game and could never play again but wound up becoming the assistant coach and then head coach. Seamus was always star stuck whenever he talked to him even though he saw him every day. Even though it had been twelve years since his injury he still walked with a limp.

Hannah was due any day now and Seamus could hardly wait. He was really hoping for a boy. They had agreed that if it was a girl Hannah would pick the name and if it was a boy Seamus would get to pick. He really hated the name she picked it was just horrid to him. "Bathelda Rowena" he said, "Ugh just doesn't work. Please be a boy."

The day started out uneventful and Seamus stocked supplies in the Healer's Wing of the stadium. Then boom the whole first and second string of players start to pile in the room.

"What in the world is going on?" he shouted over all the commotion.

"Well why don't you ask those four" said Coach Lynch

"They came out of nowhere" said one of the beaters.

"I never saw them until we hit" said a chaser

"Will someone please tell me what happened" said Seamus

"Well both strings were practicing when all of a sudden four owls swooped in from the right" replied one of Seamus' assistants. "I saw the whole thing. Next thing you know all of them crashed into each other."

"Who on earth would be sending four owls to a Quidditch….." just then all 4 owls flew into the room. All of them were for Seamus. One from Dean, one from his mother, one from Hanna's mother and one from Ginny all saying the same thing…"Get to the hospital now".

"She's having the baby. I have to go" said Seamus.

"But what about all these hurt men?" said another assistant

"You and John can handle it." Seamus replied

"Good Luck" yelled the coach

And then SWOOSH Seamus was at St. Mungos. He didn't make it in time. Dean, Harry, Cho and Ginny were all in the waiting room.

"Oi, Seamus contrats" Harry hollered.

"What do you mean?" he asked

"She just had the baby a few minutes ago" Ginny said smiling

"Oh no you mean I missed it. Well what is it?"

"We don't know" said Dean.

"Well let me find the doctor." Off Seamus went to find out if it was little Bathelda or little Alastor. As he was walking down the hall he saw Hannah's doctor coming out of a patient room.

"Ah Mr. Finnigan just the man I was looking for" said Dr. Fizzlebit.

"Well how is she doctor?

"Hannah is doing fine and that son of yours is a hefty young man."

Thank goodness it was a boy. Seamus was so happy. "Well they are both in that room if you would like to go see them."

With that Seamus went in to see his wife and son, Alastor Sean Finnigan.
