No, I'm not dead. I just keep losing my damn flash drive. Anyways, this chapter is from the girls perspective, which is hard for me to write being a guy. Just another reason it took so long. Please enjoy!
"Angel," Allie called out from the kitchen, "where do you keep the seasonings?"
The Froslass came floating in, "They should be in the cabinet to the left of the stove."
Allie opened the cabinet and started looking through the assorted spices until she found what she was looking for. She added a few spices to the bowl on the kitchens island and began mixing them together. She was fixing a fairly simple dish that her mother had told her was good for both Pokémon and humans. It was something she had often done back at the daycare her mother owned.
She looked at the other girls in the kitchen. Melody was floating beside Abby as she was learning how to prepare some fresh veggies from the garden out back. Angel had decided to start making some homemade ice cream for dessert and was showing Yuki how it was done.
Allie smiled to herself, glad that everyone could get along. Her thoughts then turned towards Jason. She couldn't help but worry about him, especially after the incident with the Mightyena.
"Everything alright, Allie?" Abby asked. Allie realized that her concern must have shown on her face.
"I'm just worried about Jason," Allie replied. She started rolling the mixture she had made into balls and placing them on a pan to be placed into the oven.
"Trust me," Angel said in her soft voice, "we all are. But after what we've been through with Jason, we know he'll be just fine."
Allie looked over to Angel, "You say that as if he's been through worse."
Abby couldn't resist letting out a laugh, "Worse? Honey, Jason has been bitten, burned, frozen almost solid, and nearly crushed. He's taken beatings that would put most dojo fighters to shame. Jason is one tough cookie."
Allie's eyes went wide, "Sweet Arceus! Jason went through all that?"
Melody looked at Abby, "I'd like to hear the story on those."
Angel sighed, "It would be better to let Jason tell it. After all, he didn't go through all that for nothing."
Yuki looked confused, "So why did he?"
Abby looked out in the direction of Jason's Gym, "Other than myself, Melody, Lucien, and now Amanda, every single one of his Pokémon was rescued from one bad situation or another."
Allie looked to Angel, "Is that true?"
Angel nodded, "He rescued me from a rather angry Walrein. Despite being almost frozen, he managed to somehow rush me to Mossdeep City's Pokémon Center. It wasn't hard for me to decide to stick with him."
Allie looked to the Pokémon around her. Jason loved these Pokémon—no, he love all Pokémon. He saw them as equals and treated them as such. She realized that that was what made Jason a great Trainer. It wasn't some strategy, it was that he had developed a bond with each and every one of his Pokémon.
"Jason really is something else," Allie said to no one in particular. She turned and placed the pan into the oven. She smiled, happy to have been brought into this loving, if a little strange, family.
The girls sitting at the table laughed, Abby having just told Allie and Yuki about their trip to the Hall of Origins.
Allie managed to catch her breath, "So Jason shaved her? Just because she was after Darkrai?"
Angel nodded, "Apparently something happened and Cresselia got knocked over the head. Arceus said she hasn't been the same since."
Melody looked over to Allie, "So, Allie, why don't you tell us a little about yourself?"
Allie seemed a little caught off guard by that, "Well, what do you want to know?"
Abby swallowed a bite of the rolls Allie had made, "Well, for starters where you got this recipe. These are amazing!"
Allie beamed, "My mother taught me the recipe."
Angel spoke up next, "So, where are you from, Allie?"
Allie took a sip of her tea, "I'm originally from Viridian City. Me and my mother moved to Hoenn about two months before I met ya'll." She sighed, "Although I just got a message on my Pokénav today saying she was moving back, but that I was welcome to stay here if I wanted to."
Abby put a paw on Allie's shoulder, "You always have a place here, Allie. After all, you're a part of this family now."
Allie almost teared up. She looked around and noticed that the others had a look that told her they all felt the same. "Thank you, all of you. You don't know what it means to hear that."
Melody psychically removed the dinner plates from the table and floated in bowls of ice cream. "Now don't you get all teary-eyed or else this is gonna turn into some cheap scene from a story where we all break out in tears."
Allie laughed and took a bowl of ice cream, "Yeah, you're right. Just happy to know I'm welcome."
The rest of dessert was spent with Allie telling the girls about some of the places she had visited and the people she had met. Once they had all finished, the girls went to the living room to watch a movie. Since none of the guys were at the house, that meant chick flicks. Abby had picked out a romance story about two Trainers who, despite starting out as rivals, find themselves falling in love, as do their Pokémon, a Houndoom and Arcanine. By the end of the movie, every single eye in the room is wet with tears.
Angel dabbed her eyes before the tears froze, "No matter how many times I watch that movie, I can't stop myself from crying."
Allie nodded in agreement, "I know what you mean. Just curious, but have you managed to get Jason to watch it with you."
Abby rolled her eyes as she wiped away the tears, "Please, Jason uses it as an excuse to get us to cuddle with him, and I've even seen him tear up—not that he'd ever admit it."
Allie looked at Abby in disbelief, "You're joking?"
Angel giggled, "Nope, despite his super-manly attitude, Jason's really a big softie at heart."
Allie had to laugh at that. She looked at the clock. It was almost ten o'clock. She yawned, "Well, I don't know about you girls, but I'm getting sleepy. What say we call it a night?"
The others looked at each other and then back to Allie, all of them with an eyebrow raised.
Allie sighed, "I suppose my clothes are in the way again, aren't they?"
Abby nodded, "They are. Now what do you think should be done about that?"
Next chapter will be back with Jason and will introduce a new, slightly psychotic, character. Please review, so that i can continue to improve.
