Heya guys...so guess it's been a while huh? hehe...I was actually pretty darn sure that I was completely done with this story for good. I had actually given up on Morby ever since Rigby and Eileen started dating, because they started having less and less screen time between Mordecai and Rigby, and it got to a point where I was like "well damn...now it seems like they don't care anything about each other" And I can't really explain what brought me back to the old Morby fanfics or anything...maybe it was just the OVERWHELMING amounts of comments and story favorites that I've gotten about this story that did it. Anyways, I've decided to REALLY TRY ...for you guys...my beloved readers, because...reading your comments just fills me with pride and brings me to tears. I say try, because even though I'm still kinda into Morby, however, I'm FULLY FREAKING OBSESSED AS CRAP with Undertale and mostly Fontcest. So, I'm really sorry if there's not the same love and devotion that was there in the first chapters, but...just know...I'm trying okay? I'm going to try for you! My Morby Lovers! Anywho, now that I'm done with that spiel... I have a question for you people...So, I've actually been falling in love with Benson X Skips as well as Eileen X Margret ... So...I'm making it a vote... If you guys want...I can arrange for those two couples to become a thing in this story, if you don't...I'll keep it exactly as it is :) So comment your vote! And without further ado, let's continue...with the story ~
Rigby hummed happily as he sat with his entire family: Mabel and Ross were sitting in their matching bean bag chairs in front of the couch, joking around and play shoving each other as they fought relentlessly over their new game system;Wyatt happily sat off in his own little world, a book propped up in his hand (it had seemed the little fella had really gotten a knack for reading, even before school); and Rigby sat happily propped up in Mordecai's lap watching his kids with a peaceful expression.
"Hey Mordecai?"Rigby hummed, turning so he was chest to chest with his husband.
"Hmm?"Mordecai asked, having been fully involved in the gaming session between the two children.
"I think..the kids might be old enough now to finally take on a vacation...what do you think? Maybe...a little two day camping trip? Before school starts again?"He hummed, bringing a hand up to cup Mordecai's cheek.
Mordecai beamed,"You know what?"he chuckled happily,"That sounds like a fantastic idea babe!"
Rigby cheered and hopped up from his lover's lap, he flicked off the TV, causing both kids to wail in protest,"FAMILY MEETING TIME!"
The twins gave a slight groan in protest as they pulled their bean bag chairs to face the couch. Rigby smiled and walked over, gently scooping Wyatt up from where he still had his nose buried in his book. He set the littlest one down next to his brother and sister and they all brought their attention to their parents.
Mordecai grinned,"We're going to go on a family vacation!"
All three kids then errupted in cheers, excitedly yammering on.
"Are we going on a cruise!?"Mabel screeched.
"To the zoo!?" Ross errupted.
"Libarry?" Wyatt squeaked.
Rigby chuckled softly at his youngest,"Wyatt darling, I already take you to the library almost every day."
Wyatt smiled,"I know Mama..."
Mordecai chuckled,"Anyways...we're going to go camping!"
Needless to say none of the kids seemed to be as thrilled as their parents.
"B-But...there's no video games.."Mabel whined.
"Or movies!" Ross sighed.
"Scary.."Wyatt whimpered.
Once again Rigby reached down and chuckled as he picked up Wyatt,"Nothing to be scared of honey.."
Mordecai rolled his eyes,"Kids.. just trust us okay? Going camping is WAY more fun than video games OR TV."
Rigby nodded,"Plus, we will allow you to bring ONE hand held game...BUT once the battery is dead it's dead...no charging it up..okay?"
The twins looked to each other for a moment before turning back to their parents and giving their nods of approval,"Agreed."they said in sync.
"Fantastic!"Rigby said excitedly and hummed,"And now, it's bed time, so go on now.."
Mabel and Ross both disappeared towards their rooms with groans of protest. Rigby looked to Mordecai,"It's your turn to tuck in those two..I've got bedtime story duty.."
Mordecai laughed and nodded, kissing Rigby's head quickly,"Okay hon, meet you back in the bedroom."
Rigby smiled and carried a half-asleep Wyatt into his room, he tucked him in and sat next to the bed,"What story will it be tonight sweet pea?"
Wyatt chose a story and listened intently as his mother read to him, he then yawned softly and fell asleep.
Rigby kissed the boy's forehead and made stops in the other kid's rooms as well, kissing their heads and then going to his own room and climbing in bed with Mordecai. Mordecai turned around in bed and pulled the small raccoon closer to him, nuzzling him.
Rigby smiled,"I hope this camping trip goes over well?"
Mordecai hummed,"Why wouldn't it?"
Rigby shrugged,"Ah, you know...angry deer-man attack?"he joked.
Mordecai stammered a bit at that and responded with a quick,"You don't think that thing will come back do you?"
Rigby shook his head,"Nah..I don't think so...it's silly, but I'm more worried that they'll get bored and not want to ever go back...they're so...technology obsessed."
Mordecai nodded,"That's why it'll be good for them to get out...it'll be good for us to get out too huh?"
"Oh yeah...I'm so ready to get out of the house and not just go to the grocery store, or the school, or Eileen's, or Margaret's, or the park.."he said.
Mordecai smiled,"Anywhere except the Park is cool with me.."
Rigby nodded and leaned up, pressing their lips together,"Let's get some sleep then."
Mordecai nodded in agreement already falling asleep.
The next morning, Rigby got up and made breakfast while Mordecai helped all the kids pack their bags, showing them what they'll need and making sure they were all prepared.
Rigby called out,"KIDS! MORDO! BREAKFAST!"
Wyatt, Mabel, and Ross all took their seats at the table, and soon after Mordecai came and wrapped his arms around Rigby's waist,"What have you made today my beautiful chef?"
Rigby smiled up at him,"Breakfast.."he teased.
"You little tease.."Mordecai chuckled and leaned down pressing their lips together.
Who knows how long they could have been standing there if the twins hadn't whined at them about being gross and wanting food. They pulled apart with lightning fast speed and Rigby quickly set the food out. They all sat and ate happily together before finishing packing and loading everything into their van. Rigby smiled happily as he climbed into the passenger's seat of the van and Mordecai into the driver's seat. They pulled out and Rigby took Mordecai's hand and intertwined their fingers, just happy to hold it. The kids were in the backseat listening to music, or reading, or drawing. It was so peaceful, Rigby let slip a small yawn.
Mordecai looked over at him quickly,"Get some sleep hon.."
Rigby looked sleepily over at Mordecai,"Are you sure?"
"Of course...it's going to be a pretty long drive anyways.."Mordecai smiled.
"Okay.."Rigby nodded and smiled drifting off.
When he woke up, it was to the van pulling into their APPROVED camping space. They didn't take any chances, not wanting any hybrid animals hunting them down this time. Rigby grinned and took a deep breath. He clambered out of the car and stretched before letting the kids out,"Alright! Who's ready for some fun!"
All three kids climbed out and looked around confused. Ross responded,"It's just...grass...and trees?"
"For now..."Mordecai chimed happily and pulled out some tents,"We have to set it up first!"
"What's that Daddy?"Mabel chimed excitedly.
"Tents... you two want to help me build them?"Mordecai asked happily as he took out the steaks and rope.
"Yeah!"Both twins said simultaneously.
Rigby smiled and sat with Wyatt, watching happily as Mordecai showed them step-by-step on how to set up the tents. After they finished Sans clapped and smiled,"Good job you three!"He hummed,"Now comes the fun part! Ready?"
All three kids were now in front of him nodding excitedly.
Rigby smiled,"Go with Daddy and find lots of sticks and rocks and branches and bring them back and we'll do something super fun! Promise!"
The kids beamed and started to tug Mordecai away excitedly. Rigby chuckled and took out the cooler and the food items. While they dragged sticks and Mordecai set them up correctly, Rigby set up the tents with their pillows and sleeping bags and flashlights. Then, when Mordecai was done, Rigby walked over and lit it on fire. The kids gasped in excitement. Rigby smiled and handed the older kids a metal rods. Mordecai grinned and stuck hot dogs on each stick.
Wyatt tilted his head,"What do we do with these Mommy?"
Rigby grinned,"We cook!"
All three kids looked confused until Mordecai and Rigby put the side of the rod with the uncooked hot dog into the fire, they grinned and copied. Rigby hummed,"Be careful though...don't get too close.."
Mordecai turned away and grabbed the hot dog buns, helping the kids and Rigby to slide the hot dogs off onto the buns. The kids dug in excitedly.
"Woah! This is even better than regular hot dogs!"Ross exclaimed merrily, stuffing his face.
"That isn't even the best treat..."Rigby grinned and passed out marshmallows.
The kids laughed as they burned several and several melted off the sticks, then they finally cooked one just enough and Mordecai once again helped put them on graham crakers and chocolate pieces. The children dug in with humms of delight.
"So tasty!"Mabel groaned happily.
Rigby smiled,"I'm glad you think so."
Mordecai nodded and handed out wet wipes next, washing up the kids and then he put out the fire. Rigby smiled and took the kids to a big blanket he had set out next to a telescope. "Now is the best part...well..in my opinion."
"What's this thing?"Mabel questioned.
"Oh! I know! It's a telescope!"Ross shouted happily.
Mordecai nodded,"That's right...it lets you see things way up in space closer.."
Rigby nodded and smiled,"Go on...you can all look..but take turns!"
The kids screamed happily as they crowded around the device. Rigby sighed happily and laid back on the blanket, Mordecai joining him and wrapping his arm around the smaller. Rigby sighed and leaned into Mordecai's embrace.
"Mordo?"Rigby sighed happily.
"Hmm?"Mordecai answered with a small smile.
"I love you so much.."Rigby said, holding the taller's hand.
"I love you too...just as much..if not more.."Mordecai responded, pressing their lips together quickly before laying back down with his husband and listening to their kids happily comment on the stars and planets as they cuddled.
After a while of laying there, everyone was wearing out pretty quickly. Rigby yawned and sat up,"Okay sweeties..time for bed."
None of the children argued, yawning softly and following their parents. Rigby hummed as he got them settled in their sleeping bags in the tent right there next to their tent. Mordecai and Rigby then retired to their own tent to sleep.
A few hours into the night and Wyatt was crawling in between Mordecai and Rigby. Nothing different there as Wyatt often got scared and came into their room to sleep off the rest of the night. A couple more hours and Mabel was the next to crawl in, settling herself in right next to Mordecai and falling directly asleep. Finally, after a few more hours, Ross came crawling in, choosing to lay next to Rigby as he curled up and fell fast asleep. Rigby had woken up and noticed them, but didn't say anything about it, simply smiling and moving to cuddle anyone close enough to him and drifting off to sleep.
Okay, well, this is all for this chapter, again I'm sorry if it's not what you wanted, but I tried my very best to re-capture my old ways. I DID notice, going through that Instead of Rigby I would type Sans a lot, so if it says Sans anywhere I'm so sorry XD it's a habit. Anyways...depending on how you readers react, I will try and continue this story, maybe even more often :) thank you so much for being so patient and caring and I love each and every one of you.
