Okay guys, so after tallying the reviews from the last chapter, plus a couple private messages, the couples that won out were Margret and Eileen and Benson and Skips :)
On with the story~
Soon after the festivities were underway everyone seemed to notice a tension, mainly between Margaret and Thomas. They were being cold and distant and Margaret was picking at her food more than eating it. Mordecai and Rigby exchanged worried glances and Rigby stood, clearing his throat,"Excuse us everyone...My husband and I...uhh...we have to go uh..."
Mordecai hurriedly cut in,"Check on the kids!"
"Y-Yeah! Check on the kids!"Rigby said as both of them hurried into the living room.
Everyone left at the table sat in confusion, finally Skips spoke for all of them,"They do realize the kids are right there right?"he pointed to a little table in the corner where all the kids were laughing happily as they ate their meals.
Eileen smiled,"Oh! Maybe Rigby is pregnant again!"
Margaret hummed in thought,"Wouldn't surprise me...those two are worst than rabbits."
Eileen giggled,"Good one Margaret.."
Everyone around the table then continued on with their banter.
Meanwhile, Rigby was sighing,"You've noticed the tension between Margaret and Thomas right? That's not just me?"
Mordecai nodded,"No..No there's definitely something happening there."
Both boys sat in thought before Rigby looked up at Mordecai,"Okay, so here's a plan...you talk to Margret..I'll talk to Thomas..we'll see what we can find."
Mordecai grinned,"Brilliant babe.."
Rigby blushed and giggled,"Thanks.."
The two shared a sweet kiss before parting ways.
Mordecai went to Margaret and smiled,"Hey Margaret, would you mind coming with me to the kitchen? I need your help with this baking thing."
"Baking thing? uh...sure.."Margaret stood and walked with him to the kitchen.
Rigby smiled,"Hey Thomas.. can you come to the living room for a second? The TV is acing funny.."
Thomas sighed and walked into the living room.
Mordecai looked to Margaret,"Alright what's up?"
"Huh? W-what do you mean?"Margaret asked, suddenly seeming uncomfortable.
"Something's wrong...I can tell.."Mordecai smiled.
Margaret then sighed,"How?"
"Oh come on Margaret, we've been best friends for a long time now..I know when something's up."Mordecai smiled.
Margaret shifted nervously, then sucked in a deep breath,"Mordecai...I...I think...I think I'm a lesbian."
Mordecai's jaw dropped before he grinned,"Really? How do you know?"
"Well..."she blushed,"I don't know...I just...I don't feel anything for Thomas anymore...a-and it's not even just him..I've tried to make myself interested, but it won't work. In fact..."she stammered.
"In fact?"Mordecai urged her.
"I-I think...No..I-I know now..I-I like Eileen."She blushed.
"Oh...Oh wow.."Mordecai hummed in thought, then smiled,"Okay I'll help."
"Help? What do you mean help?"Margaret asked.
"Help you get with Eileen of course!"Mordecai chirped.
"What! N-No! Sh-She doesn't even like me..she's with Benson.."She looked saddened after mentioning that.
Mordecai tilted his head,"Oh..did you not hear?"
"Hear what?"Margaret asked confused.
"Benson and Eileen broke it off months ago.."Mordecai stated bluntly,"Only reason they came here together today is because they're switching kids today and thought it would be easiest."
Margaret sat in shocked silence for a moment before looking up at him,"Wo-Wow..so this is really happening."
"Yep."Mordecai smiled.
Rigby looked at Thomas as he fiddled with the television,"So..uhh..how are things going with you and Margaret?"
"They aren't.."Thomas huffed.
"What do you mean?"Rigby asked.
"Well...I got called to go on a mission...and when I came back.."Thomas sighed and huffed,"She told me she likes girls.."
Rigby's eyes widened,"Oh dude.."
"Yeah.."Thomas sighed,"I don't know what to do.."
"Well.."Rigby sat next to him,"You can't help who you love, you know?"
Thomas nodded,"Yeah..maybe...maybe I just- I need a break...from all this."
"What do you mean?"Rigby questioned.
"I mean...I'm probably going to be leaving..for a very long time.."Thomas responded.
"You're going to leave?"Rigby asked.
"Yeah. I just need some time...to get over her."he responded.
Rigby had sudden memories of Mordecai getting over Margaret and he nodded,"Do what you need to do."
Thomas smiled,"Thanks for understanding..."he then went back into the dining room.
Rigby ran into Mordecai on the way to the kitchen and both of them smiled and said in unison,"Margaret's a lesbian."
Mordecai chuckled,"Yeah..I know...she has a crush on Eileen."
"What? No way!"Rigby snickered.
"So what's Thomas going to do?"Mordecai asked.
"oh, he says he's going to go away for a while...to get his mind off of things.."Rigby replied.
Mordecai nodded,"Sounds like something I would do.."
Rigby gave him a pouty look.
"Not that I'd ever need to anymore!"Mordecai pulled Rigby in close by the waist,"You're amazing babe..I'd never love anyone more than you."
Rigby blushed and giggled,"Oh Mordo...you're too sweet.."they began to kiss before Muscle Man barged in.
"Whoooo! We'll see you later ladies!"He cheered as he ran through the door, bringing Starla along with him.
High Fives and his fiancee left direct after them as well.
Rigby's mom came in with a smile and kissed both boys on the cheek,"I have to be going Rigby, honey, you know how irritated your father can get.. It was nice though..love you~"she smiled and called for Don before both of them fled the house.
Mordecai's Mom came in carrying dishes and she started to wash them instantly. Rigby instantly turned to her,"Oh! You really don't have to do that I can wash them."
"Nonsense! I'll help! After all I'm not the pregnant one."She smiled happily.
Mordecai spat out his water and Rigby's eyes widened. Mordecai instantly was kneeling and feeling up Rigby's body,"Babe? You're pregnant? How come you didn't tell me? When did this happen?"
Rigby chuckled nervously and blushed,"I'm not pregnant hon..."
"Oh..."Mordecai blushed and stood up, brushing himself off,"S-so Mom what gave you that idea?"
"Oops sorry! They were talking about it around the table, thinking you might be pregnant again since you ran off so suspiciously."His Mom giggled.
"huh?"Mordecai questioned before his eyes lit up,"Oh! No-No we just had to chat for a bit about something private."
"oh...well...I'm still going to do these dishes for you sweetie, why don't you go off and enjoy your party?"She shooed them away.
Rigby smiled,"Well thank you!"he called as he got pulled along by Mordecai back into the dining room.
Mordecai sat down and pulled Rigby into his lap,"So how's everyone doing?"
"Good.."most everyone mumbled happily.
"That's good.."Mordecai smiled.
"Mama?"Came a shy call and a pull on Rigby's dress.
"Yes Wyatt?"Rigby cooed, shifting off Mordecai's lap to talk to the kid.
"My thing?"Wyatt questioned shyly looking around at everyone.
"Hmm? Oh! Oh yes!"Rigby scooped him up,"Everyone! Wyatt has made you all a little goodie bag to take with you."
Wyatt beamed and scrambled away from Rigby to grab the box and bring them around. Everyone smiled and thanked the little boy as he beamed excitedly. Rigby watched fondly and held Mordecai's hand,"He's so precious..."
Mordecai chuckled,"You know he kinda takes after Don a little."
Rigby hummed in thought,"How's that?"
"Well.. I think he might be really into helping people..you know charity and giving and stuff,"Mordecai smiled.
Rigby smiled again thinking of his child,"okay..I can see where you're coming from now.."
Mordecai went in for a kiss, but before he got it, Benson stood up and clinked his spoon against his glass,"Hey guys...I have a kinda important message to make."
Everyone turned their attention to Benson who was nervously standing next to Skips.
Benson cleared his throat,"As you know...Eileen and I divorced..but..what you don't know is why we divorced."
Eileen gave a little nod and sucked in a deep breath,"We felt...we belonged with another group."
Benson continued,"A-Another gender group."
The crowd started to excitedly talk before quieting again.
Benson smiled,"So...that's why..I've been meaning to say that uhh...th-that umm..."
Skips chuckled,"Benson and I are dating."
Everyone gasped and then Mordecai and Rigby smiled and applauded. Mordecai beamed,"Yeah guys.. I think it's important to do what makes you happy..."he looked specifically at Eileen and Margaret."
Thomas nodded and coughed nervously,"Margaret and I are divorced..."
There was another surprised gasp from the room, followed by Thomas stating,"And...And I'm going to go out of country for a while."
Everyone then looked at Margaret, who huffed softly,"Okay okay..."she shut her eyes and took a really deep breath,"E-Eileen? I-I really...I really like you."
Eileen looked surprised before breaking out in a huge smile,"Wha-Really?!"
"Yeah.."Margaret said softly.
"That's great because...I-I like you too!"Eileen grinned.
The table cheered for them and smiles were soon all around again as the tension rose and everyone dug back in to their meals and conversations.
