It had happened all within seconds. The metal door at the back opened right as all six members of team Lightyear were blasted out of it. Their ship was fired upon a second time eliminating it completely.

"Star Command! Emergency! Emergency! They knew we were coming! Repeat, they knew we were coming! We need back up, NOW!" Buzz managed to shout as he stabilized himself.

The pig ship in the meantime started shifting metal panels to reveal more weapons.

"MOVE!" Woody cried as they scattered in all directions.

Lazers and rays shot past soundlessly. Buzz veered left to avoid the onslaught, pushing Mira out of harm's way and then swerving back to the right.

He drifted away from the others losing sight of everyone.

"Buzz! What are we going to do?!" Booster said frantically through the comms.

"We've got to retreat! There's no way we're breaking through that shield with our guns alone. We're going to use the Emergency Transport System," Buzz replied. "Get to the back of the ship!"

"The ETS? Isn't that what you used to send me and Booster back to Star Command? Tell me it's more than just a prototype now," Mira's voice rang in.

"The LGM's assured me it was completed..."

"Buzz, we've got company!" XR suddenly exclaimed.

Buzz whipped his head around towards the ship. Several smaller vessels were coming out of ports to finish the job. "We've got to get out of here right now!"

He rounded the corner of the ship and was relieved to find Mira, Jessie, and Woody there. XR and Booster, however, were still behind.

"XR, Booster, where are you guys?!" A split second later the two made it around back. Booster held bits of the robot in his arms.

"Sorry Buzz! XR got hit!" Booster exclaimed holding up the parts.

The group grabbed onto each other in a circle, Buzz opened a compartment on his arm and a paper thin chip floated out.

"Remember, anyone who touches while it's going is gonna get left behind," Buzz told the group swiping his finger across the glossy surface a few times.

Jessie looked up at Woody, who had remained stone-faced throughout the endeavor. She squeezed his hand to try and invoke some emotion. It was one of the few moments she didn't have a read on his thoughts.

The sheriff tried to shrug off his sister's eyes trying to bore into his head. He knew she probably wouldn't approve of what he was about to do…

Buzz finished fiddling with the chip and started the countdown as the surface glowed a bright blue. "Initiating the ETS device in 3….2….1…."

The cowboy made his move.

"WOODY!?" was all Jessie had time to say before her brother flew past her, holding the chip in his hands. She reacted quickly and grabbed onto his ankle and was pulled away.

Buzz had started to appear transparent, but he was also able to take Jessie's hand before disappearing completely. He whipped his head around to see that the rest of his comrades were gone already. Mira was going to be livid, AGAIN.

"Woody, what are you doing?!" Buzz cried as he and Jessie let go of the cowboy.

"You weren't supposed to grab onto me," Woody responded coolly.

"Are you insane?!" Jessie asked finally catching up with her brother and stopping him. "What are you playing at?"

He tried to go past her but she grabbed onto his shoulders and he felt a sting of weakness in his bad arm.

"Look, I came here to get Bo back," Woody told her releasing the chip from his fingers. "You guys can get out of here if you want, but I'm not leaving until she's safe."

Jessie was about to retort, but Buzz cut in. "You're stuck with us pal. The device is useless now. So whether you want our help or not, you're getting it."

Woody looked at his friend and then back to his sister, who still looked upset with him. He did, however, nod slowly.

The cowgirl crossed her arms. "That's great and all, but what exactly is the plan here?"

"That's our problem. Our guy is always one step ahead of us, right? Maybe we need to do something unpredictable…" Woody said, looking at the back of the ship.

"Well at the very least we've got a bit of cover. They've stopped firing and the ships are going back. I think these bracelets are doing their job," Buzz said tapping the silver on his wrist. "And as for unpredictable, we could catch a ride…"

The three gazed over at the ships Buzz nodded to as they drifted around the station. Maybe it was crazy enough to work.

"We've scanned this area a million times commander, they left through some sort of transportation device," said a weary green skinned soldier as he circled his aircraft around the pig ship base.

"Fine! Come back but gather the troops to the hub. I know at least one of them is still here somewhere… Porkchop out," came the scratchy reply over the radio. The pilot sighed and turned to his co-pilot who looked as equally as annoyed.

They navigated back towards the station occasionally spouting out rude things about their great leader, completely oblivious to the three rangers that had attached to the bottom of their vehicle.

"As soon as we get there we won't be able to communicate anymore. We're going to give them the illusion that only one of us is on board," Woody told his friends solemnly. "Buzz, when we land take my scan jammer bracelet and find Bo. Once you've found her give it to her. Jessie, you think you can find a way to lower the shields?"

The cowgirl looked uncertain. "I can try… What are you going to do?"

"I'm going to meet our friend from Porcus."
