Chapter 10:
Scorpius' POV
The week at my house seemed to last forever. Especially with my grandfather shooting Al death glares where ever he went. At least Mother and Father seemed to like him. It was now finally the time when I go to Al's house for a week and I was in my room packing when I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in," I called. The door opened slowly and I turned around to see my grandfather walking in. "May I help you?"
"I would like to have a word if you can spare a moment," said grandfather in a cold voice.
I sighed. "Fine, but make it quick. I have to get ready to go to Al's house," I replied, sitting beside my trunk on my bed.
"This is actually about that boy. I want you to stay away from him. He's a Potter, you're a Malfoy. Either you cut your ties with him, or I'll cut them for you."
"I can't do that. I've had enough of people telling me to stay away from Al! I get enough of that at school and I don't need it from you as well. And if you do anything, anything at all, to the Potter family then I'll tell father that you threatened to kill Al on his first night here," I glared at him.
"You dare disrespect me, you insolent boy!" He hissed, raising a hand as if he were going to hit me. I flinched and closed my eyes, bracing myself for the strike. Instead, I heard my father's voice in the doorway.
"Father, I think it is time for you to leave," he said, glaring at grandfather.
"How dare you let a Potter into our family home! That is not how I raised you!"
"You're right," he replied coolly. "You raised me to be hateful and prejudiced against anyone who wasn't a pure blood. I raised my son to be kind and respectful."
"You have disgraced the Malfoy name, Draco! I will not tolerate this!" snarled grandfather.
"How I choose to raise my son is up to me, Father. And if you ever raise your hand to him again, I will make sure you go back to Azkaban for the rest of your life," he hissed. "Now get out of my sight!"
With one final glare at me, he stormed out. When he was gone, I looked up at Father tearfully. "He threatened to kill Al, Father…" I said softly.
"I heard…don't worry. If he does anything, I'll send him to Azkaban myself. He won't hurt you or Albus. I'll make sure of that. Now hurry up and get ready. We'll be leaving in an hour. Make sure you don't forget anything here because Albus's father will take you two to King's Cross Station after the holidays." He walked out, leaving me to my thoughts.
Hey guys! I'm sorry that this chapter is so short. I haven't worked on it in a while and wasn't exactly sure how to continue it, so I left it at this. I hope you enjoy it and I promise that the next chapter will be a lot longer than this one. I apologize for taking so long to update! It's been busy lately. Anywho, I will see you all in the next chapter! Love ya'll!
