Chapter 7

"Nico!?" Ultear exclaimed, scrambling to her feet. "Nico! What was that? A few letters and that's it?" She bonked him over the head.

He yelped, "Onee-chan! What was that for?" He looked up at her with his large puppy eyes.

Ultear rolled her eyes fondly, "Your letters only explained the basics and not to worry. But of course I'm going to worry! My baby brother's in a whole other world that I can't get to! And you told me something about how they all use Holder type magic? And how are you?"

"I'm fine, onee-chan. I have three really nice friends! Their names are Hermione, Draco and Ron. I want to teach them some of our magic!" Nico exclaimed happily.

"Our magic? Oh, you've told everyone about your magics? I thought you just told your Headmaster," Ultear asked, frowning.

"Well, yeah I did tell the students as well, but only of my Ice Make. Not my Spatial or Mind Magics. I don't think they'd take Mind Magic well…" Nico said, scratching his head.

"How fortunate you are, to bump into four people from Earthland who had knowledge of Spatial Magic, and its advanced levels," Ultear said, smiling at her brother. "What magics do you want to teach your friends?"

"Well, Hermione's really smart and loves books, so I thought of teaching her Archive. For Draco, he said he'd like something with daggers and swords, so I think I'll teach him Requip. And Ron's sorta interested guns and stuff like that, so maybe Metal Make or something my teacher's Archive contains," Nico said seriously. "I really think that those three are going to be great fighters. They're loyal, strong willed and spirited."

Ultear smiled fondly, "I think you should do that. Maybe you should also get help from the Four in teaching them."

"I should!" Nico said excitedly. "But I'll have to ask Professor Dumbledore. I think he'll let me."

Ultear regarded Nico for a moment, "You realized by doing that you'll be introducing them to Earthland? If you plan on informing Lord Zeref about Earth's existence, you will be involving them. Are you sure you want to do that?"

Nico exhaled, suddenly unsure, "I don't know, onee-chan." He looked down, suddenly ashamed, "What if they die or something because of me?"

Ultear gently hugged Nico, "I think you should teach them because they are your friends and no matter what, as part of the magical community on that world, they will be involved. And you should equip them with the necessary magics to help you."

Nico nodded, "I will try my best!"

When the holidays ended, Nico/Harry teleported back to London, walking to the train like he was in that world for the entire week. On the train, he met up with his friends, who were smiling from the excitement of returning to their friends. "Harry!" Hermione cried out joyfully, flinging herself at him. Harry let out a grunt as she collided into his body, hugging her back with the same ferocity.

Draco and Ron gave Hermione hugs as well, Draco blushing as he did so. Harry and Ron exchanged knowing smirks, and greeted each other warmly. Harry smiled, before sobering. He had to tell them if he was to involve them… "Guys, are you sure you want to learn the magic that I use?"

Hermione looked at him, scandalized, "Of course I do! Just the thought of Archive makes me feel lightheaded!"

Draco smiled at her, and responded as well, "Harry, of course we do. To be able to learn such powerful magic…"

Ron nodded, "What he said."

Harry frowned, sighing, "There are consequences to learning my magic…"

"Like what?" Hermione inquired, frowning slightly.

Harry fidgeted, unsure of how to continue. He sighed, "Well… You will have to know where I was able to learn my magic…"

"Why is that a consequence?" Draco pressed, raising an eyebrow.

The Earthland mage exhaled, even more uncertain, "Well, you see… I learn my magic from… another… world."

They blinked at him. "Wait, what?" Ron exclaimed, gaping.

Draco's pale eyebrows were frozen at his hairline. Hermione was frowning pensively. Harry deflated, silently cursing himself for revealing too much information and for maybe distancing his friends. "I mean, if you don't want to learn it it's fine… I just thought it'd be nice to share it with you-"

"Don't be silly, Harry! Of course I still want Archive! And it doesn't matter that you're from another world," Hermione interrupted. Seeing his fears, she smiled warmly, "Harry, we don't care if you're from another world. All of my life I was alone because I loved books. Why should I judge you?"

"Yeah, and I was the youngest son of seven. My parents expected me to be just as brilliant as the rest of them are, yes, Fred and George may not care about school but they are still brilliant," Ron admitted.

Draco hesitated, but pushed on, "Even though many people think I'm snobbish, spoiled, bratty, my parents expect that I be just like them. I must be the perfect Pureblooded son and nobleman. I had to be the best and I hated it. Harry, you gave me a way out. I would never leave you because you're from another world."

Harry blinked, and then a wide, genuine smile. "Thanks, guys."

Draco leaned forward, "So, what's so consequential about your world?"

"You'll see when we get to Hogwarts. I'm going to introduce you to the four who are teaching and helping me developing my powers," Harry grinned impishly.

Ron groaned, "Harry! Now you've got me curious. Come on, just tell us."

Harry giggled, "Nope! But I'll explain what magics I think you guys'll like." He wasn't sure on how to explain Zeref to them. Even though Master Hades was passionate about resurrecting Zeref…if Zeref wanted to die then why should they resurrect him?

"Come on," Harry whispered as the four of them trailed around the corridors under the Invisibility Cloak. They stopped in front of the corridor with Barnabas the Barmy.

"There's nothing here, Harry," Draco deadpanned, blinking.

Harry grinned, ducked under the Cloak and paced back and forth in front of the wall three times. A door appeared, and Harry waved his friends forward, "Let's go!"

Inside the room, Hermione, Ron and Draco appeared from under the Cloak, raising an eyebrow at him. "This is so cool! I've heard about it in Hogwarts: A History but I thought it was just a myth!" Hermione gushed.

"Mr. Potter, who are they? What have you done?" Professor Slytherin's voice rang out coldly, with a subtle air of panic.

"Professor Slytherin, I want to teach them Earthland magic," Harry stated firmly, unflinching under the man's harsh glare.

"That's Slytherin?" Draco gasped, eyes wide and admiring. "Wow…"

"What have you done, Harry?!" Godric shouted, leaned forward with urgency. "Why do you want them to learn our magic?" His eyes darkened, "Does this have anything to do with Zeref?"

"It's not about Zeref!" Harry retorted, temper rising as he defended himself against the Four's harsh stares. "It's about protecting them by equipping them with magic."

"Who's Zeref? Are these the Four Founders of Hogwarts?" Hermione asked with awe. "Harry, what's going on?"

"Yes, Mr. Potter, tell us what you thought," Ravenclaw said coldly.

Harry scratched the back of his head, "Well, on Earthland, we have something called magic guilds, where mages gather as a family. In a guild, non-magicals can get mages to help them with something in return, like money. I'm in a guild called Grimoire Heart-"

"The Devil's Heart?" Hermione's eyebrows shot up. "That's ominous."

Harry shifted, "It's a dark guild. We are not legal guilds, and the magic we learn is mostly lost and forbidden. My guild in particular wants to resurrect the Dark Wizard, Zeref-"

"Dark wizard?" Ron demanded, eyes wide. "You've been a dark wizard all this time?"

Harry looked to the Four for help. Slytherin sighed, "Mr. Potter was raised in the guild, and has been told many times that Zeref was a great wizard, and could help their world advance to a new era. Not many know the true story of Zeref, so you cannot blame Mr. Potter. He just didn't know any better."

Harry pouted slightly, but nodded, "Right now, I don't really know where I stand on the issue with Zeref, but I want you guys to know about what's going to happen. I can't change Master Hades' decisions, and he's bound to do something with the information I gave him earlier about this world. I feel that something's going to happen, and you guys need an advantage."

Hermione was silent, Ron had turned away and Draco was looking at him with surprise. Harry felt his heart sink, "I-I know, I'm sorry for pulling you into this, but I thought…"

Draco laughed humorlessly, "I always had a suspicion that there was something extra to why you made friends with people outside of our House. Hermione's outrageously intelligent and perceptive. Ron, despite his thick headedness, is an amazing strategist. I'm wealthy and my family has a lot of political influence. What else, Harry? Blaise Zabini for his money? Susan Bones because of her aunt?"

Harry stepped back, face contorted in hurt and slight guilt. It was why he had chosen them at first, but now he wanted to protect them with everything he had. Now, he had to come clean with them, and he needed to tell them everything. "It's true, at first," Harry admitted, wincing at Hermione's betrayed look. "But after I started lessons with them," he gestured to the Four, "I realized what Master Hades and Grimoire Heart wants is not what I want. It was too late though, I had already sent a letter to my adoptive sister about this world through Spatial Magic. She had told Master Hades, and I have a feeling that if we ever manage to awaken Zeref, Master Hades'll tell him about this world as well. I really love you guys, and when you asked me to teach you Earthland magic, I thought that it would be better if you knew that magic. If Zeref or Grimoire Heart ever wants to do something to this world while we're still here, I want you guys to be able to have something extra. I want you guys to be safe. I'm sorry…"

Hermione sighed, "Harry, first of all, who is Zeref?"

Harry looked to the Four. Ravenclaw acquiesced to his silent plea, "As the three of you might have concluded, the four of us are the Founding Four of Hogwarts. We arrived in this world little over four hundred years ago, transported here through a clash with dragons. At that time, a powerful dark wizard, far more powerful than your so called Lord Voldemort, arose with an army of demons that he himself created. This dark wizard, known to us as Zeref, wields a magic no other wields. He uses Living Magic, and can make a demon arise from stones and dirt. He is also cursed with Ankhseram Black Magic, which is a curse that makes one immortal. If the one cursed values life, life around him will die. He started creating demons because after centuries of living and killing, he wanted to die. He also wanted to see his brother alive again, so with those two goals in mind, he created the ultimate demon, END, hoping that this demon will be strong enough to kill him. This demon, however, was created using the body of his dead brother."

Harry sucked in a breath, horrified and slightly sad for Zeref.

Ravenclaw continued, "I don't know what his goal will be if he is reawakened, and due to how enthusiastic Grimoire Heart is, I'm sure he'll somehow be awakened, but the war before Zeref vanished was devastating. Think of learning Earthland magic as a precaution. If Zeref never awakens, you'll just have an advantage in this world in preparation for anything bad to happen. It won't hurt to learn another magic. Harry might have manipulated you at first, but now, I think he has your best interests in mind. You should really consider learning our magic."

"I don't need to consider," Hermione declared. "I'm learning your magic. Harry, how could I not? Even though you might have only become my friend because I was smart, you still risked your life to save me from the troll, you still defend me from those pureblooded bigots. I don't care what your original intentions were, you think of me as a true friend now, right?"

"Of course I do!" Harry exclaimed.

Hermione smiled, "Then that's good enough." She looked to Ravenclaw, with respect and admiration, but the awe was toned down, "I want to learn Archive."

Ravenclaw smiled, "I can teach you that."

Draco grinned, "I think Hermione said it all. And also what I said on the train, you gave me a way out. I want to learn Requip."

Gryffindor grinned viciously, "Well, little Slytherin, sure thing." Slytherin let out a groan, and Draco's eyes went wide when he saw his mentor was Gryffindor.

Harry gave the two grateful smiles, and turned to look at Ron. The redhead's face was expressionless, but when he spoke, his voice did not hold any malice in it, "I guess I'll have to learn how to use Metal Make."

Gryffindor nodded, "I'll be glad to teach you, kid."

"I can just give you the information through Archive," Ravenclaw said. "Any other questions?"

"What else can you tell us about your world? Are there Muggles there?" Draco asked.

"Yes, there are nonmagicals, and instead of living separately and without knowledge of the magical world, the nonmagicals and magicals coexist, with the nonmagicals hiring the mages to do things for them," Harry answered. "Well, at least, they hire mages from the legal guilds."

Hufflepuff looked slightly put out, "No student for me, Harry?"

Harry blushed, "Oh, well… Sorry, I-"

Helga laughed, "It's okay, Harry, I'm just joking."

"What magic do you have, Professor Hufflepuff?" Hermione asked curiously.

"Call me Helga, dear. I have Plant Magic and Poison Magic."

Hermione tilted her head to the side, "Neville Longbottom would be a good student for you. Harry, why didn't you make friends with him?"

Draco snorted, "Have you seen him? He doesn't even know what's left from right!"

The bushy haired Gryffindor frowned at him, "That's not very nice. He's very talented at Herbology. Plant magic would do very well for him."

Harry nodded contemplatively, "That's true. I'll try to talk him, but you have to realize that I made this decision because I love you guys and I trust you guys."

Hermione understood, "Of course, it would be bad if the information landed in the wrong hands. But I think you should give Neville a chance." After Harry's acquiescence, she smiled at Ravenclaw, "When can we start training?"

"You should talk to the Headmaster about this, Harry," Ravenclaw said. "Let him know."

Harry blinked in surprise, "The Headmaster knows about Earthland?"

"Of course he does! Every Headmaster of Hogwarts knows," Slytherin said. "You should inform him of this. They are his students and are under his protection."

Harry nodded, "Yeah. Okay."

The next morning, Harry woke up, with heavy bags under his eyes. He let out a groan, burrowing into the sheets, wishing he could sleep more.

Draco grumbled as well, "Harry, I'm blaming you if I'm late."

Harry mumbled something incoherent. Blaise Zabini, who also had just woken up, looked at the two of them, "How are you two so tired? We all went to bed about the same time, didn't we?"

Harry grunted, "Hmm."

"Guess you're not very rational in the mornings, huh, Potter?" Zabini grinned.

Harry struggled to sit up, rubbing at his eyes like a child he hadn't been for a while, "Huh? Can I not go to class? 'M tired…"

Draco rolled his eyes, "Harry, come on, we have things to do, remember?"

Blaise leaned forward, intrigued, "Hey, Potter, what do you do for Defense, Charms and Transfiguration? I heard some rumor about you conjuring a shield of ice without a wand on Halloween."

Draco narrowed his eyes, opening his mouth to speak. Harry cut in, "Yeah, since I can't use a wand, I'm learning other types of magic."

"Like what? Conjuring a shield of ice without a wand is very advanced," Blaise pressed.

Harry silenced Draco with a look, "I'm learning a type that's based around ice." He stretched and slipped out of bed, dressing quickly.

Blaise's eyes never left him.

Harry led the way to the Headmaster's office, anxious and nervous. What if Dumbledore didn't approve of them learning? Even though he had the advantage of Ice, Spatial and Mind Magic, Dumbledore was a powerful wizard. After getting through the gargoyles, Harry walked up the stairs and knocked on the Headmaster's door.

"Come in."

Swallowing nervously, Harry walked in with his friends trailing after him, "Professor Dumbledore, I want to teach Hermione, Draco and Ron Earthland magic."

The Headmaster's eyes widened, and the twinkle disappeared from his eyes. The tension in the room heightened and Harry could feel the Headmaster's magic swirling around the office. "So you told them about Earthland," the Headmaster said. It was not a question.

Harry nodded, heart thumping.

"Why? Why did you feel the need to involve them?" Dumbledore questioned, voice forcibly calm with a strained undertone. "Does it have to do with Zeref? Have you consulted the Four?"

Nodding again, Harry explained, "I told the Four and after some discussion, they approve. It does have to do with Zeref, but only in precaution if Zeref ever decides to visit another world. I-I understand now, about Zeref."

The magic dissipated slightly. "Good, and you say the Four approve? Do your friends know who the Four are, Mr. Potter?"

Draco nodded, "Yes, sir, we do."

Dumbledore sighed, "Mr. Potter, I wish you consulted with me first. These are my students, and getting them involved in something as big as Zeref… Their safety is my responsibility."

"I understand, sir, and I apologize, but I didn't know you knew about Earthland," Harry said.

Dumbledore acquiesced, "When are your friends going to learn the magic?"

"Well, since Professor Ravenclaw has Archive, it would be a lot easier to transmit the information to them, and then Hermione will be tutored under Professor Ravenclaw, and Draco and Ron are going to practice under Godric's watch. Maybe we could practice after dinner?" Harry suggested.

"What about homework from other classes?" Dumbledore inquired.

Harry blinked, "Oh, well… I actually forgot about that…"

"Well, since you will learning so much magic, I will talk to your professors, and exempt you from homework, as long as you still know the theory and practical aspects," Dumbledore said, eyes twinkling when Draco, Ron and Hermione sighed in relief. "What magics are you planning to learn?"

"I'm going to learn Archive!" Hermione said proudly, beaming.

Draco smiled, "I'm learning Requip."

Dumbledore chuckled, "That's with Gryffindor isn't it?"

"Yes," Draco mumbled.

"And I'll be learning Metal Make with Gryffindor as well!" Ron finished.

Dumbledore leaned back, "Mr. Potter, I understand why you wanted to do this. I truly do understand, but I hope they will never need to defend themselves using Earthland magic. And Ms. Granger, wouldn't you want to learn a more offensive magic?"

Hermione looked hesitant. Harry stepped in, "Maybe she could learn Professor Ravenclaw's Memory Make as well."

"As long as it's not too much for her magic and mind," the Headmaster agreed. "Very well. But if any of you use that magic to harm any students without provocation, the consequences will be very severe. Good luck, Mr. Potter." And Harry could tell it was not just about teaching his friends Earthland magic.

A/N Hey guys! Hope you like it and please review! Tell me if I missed anything about the introducing them to Earthland, and any loop holes and stuff. Thanks guys!
