DZ2: Hmmm … an interesting thought … don't know if I'll run with it, but it's still interesting … now that I think about it, isn't that Voldemort's fatal flaw as well?

Have a Little Feith: Even if I'm not taking classes, I still have work as well … but I manage my writing time as best as I can.

WhiteElfElder: Oh, yeah … should Loki be running for the hills? LOL.

Chapter 16

As the campers hung around the campfire that night, Chiron trotted up to the sextet of demigods.

"Is everything okay, Loki? You seemed troubled coming out of the Big House, and with your friends running after you, we haven't had a chance to talk."

"Chiron, it said one of us may die."

"Everyone fears death, Loki. You are no exception. You are not to go to your grave fearing death, but you are to face death knowing that you have done what you could within the days allotted you. If I may be so curious to ask, what does the prophecy say?"

Harry said:

"The Dark Lord will join with the Lord of Time,
To conquer, enslave, and all things unwind;
The Sons of the Eldest: Death, Sea and Sky,
Will fight him together, though one may die;
Joined as one, to them the Darkness must fall,
Or the Darkness will spread, to the Doom of All."

Chiron nodded. "Your mission is clear."

"Aye," said Loki. "One of these days, my brother will get his comeuppance, and not just for what he did to Harry."

"The Oracle gave an additional warning: as powerful as Olympus is, even it cannot fight a war on two fronts," said Harry. "Are there any other children of the Big Three?"

"The three of you and Thalia are the only children of the Big Three I know at Camp Half-Blood. Are there any others that Loki may know?"

Loki frowned. "Chiron, do I look like Mr. Find-It to you?"

Thalia gave him a lighthearted smack. "Will you answer the question?"

"Okay, Thalia, okay! Don't get your panties in a twist …" He sniffed the air. "Something's approaching …"

"How much further is it, Nico?"

"Well, are you sure you want to do this, Jason? Greek demigods and Roman demigods have a history of hate between them."

"Father told me the Camp would need my support; is there anything else that I need to say?"

A voice behind the four of them said, "Okay, hands up where I can see them and don't move another inch! State your names."

"Nico and Bianca DiAngelo, children of the Rich One."

Loki nodded. "Continue."

"Tyson. I'm a Cyclops and a Son of Poseidon."

"A Cyclops? Oh, gods, this is going to be awkward …"

"Jason Grace, son of Jupiter. Who might you be, and how did you get behind us?"

"Loki, son of the Rich One, like Nico and Bianca here. By any chance, do you know a Thalia Grace?"

Jason's eyes widened. "She's my sister. Is she okay?"

"Come on into the Camp and we'll talk. She's fine. Oh, Tyson?" Tyson looked at him. "Make one false move to hurt me or my friends, and I will see to it you end up as Cerberus chow, capisce?" Tyson nodded.

"Now, what is that old saying? 'Speak of the devil and he shall appear?' We have here four demigods who are children of the Big Three who have come to give their support."

Annabeth's eyes narrowed. "What is a Cyclops doing here? The barrier that protects this Camp is supposed to keep him and his kind out!"

"Relax, Annabeth," said Percy. "I'm sure he can't help his ancestry."

"I gave Tyson a clear enough warning, Annabeth," said Loki. "If that's not good enough for you, would you like another flight into the river?"

"It makes sense you would hang out with monsters, Loki – since you seem like half of – ACK!"

She gasped for air as Loki choked her from a distance, his eyes dark as night.

"Kneel, Miss Fussy Britches."

Cough cough cough. " … no …."

"I said ..." his eyes flamed with his thunderous roar, "KNEEL!" She fell to her knees. "There, was that not simpler? All your wisdom and knowledge is wonderful, but it will avail you nothing if you don't learn to respect your allies … me in particular. Do we have an understanding?"

He released the choke hold, and she coughed to regain her breath. "Yes, Loki … I'm sorry ..."

"Apology accepted. We have Tyson, son of Poseidon, Nico and Bianca DiAngelo, children of the Rich One, and Jason Grace, brother to Thalia and son of … The Big Guy." He paused in thought. "Hmmm … it seems I'm forgetting something …. something about today … oh, yeah ..."

Much to Harry's shock, the Olympians appeared in a blaze of light, and, with his fellow campers, they said, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY!"

He burst into laughter. "I was afraid you all forgot about me!"

Zeus shared in the laughter, although his laugh was more of a merry roar as he gave Harry a merry slap on the back. "Forget you? How could We ever forget you, when We consider what you have done?"

"Sally apologizes that she couldn't come, Harry," said Poseidon, "but she baked you a cake."

The cake said, in frosting, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY!" Along with this were five symbols that she drew in five circles: a lightning bolt, a trident, and a skull, as well as two owls in circles below.

"Of course, there should be another lightning bolt added in for My daughter," said Zeus. "On that subject, Loki, I hope you take good care of her."

Loki gulped and nodded. "Of course, Uncle. I would have to be out of my mind to let any harm come to her." He saw Zeus raise his eyebrow. "I mean … I would protect her with my life, if need be."

"Daddy, come on! Do you have to give Loki the third degree on such a merry occasion like this?"

"We call it Putting the Fear of the Gods into any male suitor. Should all turn out well, you should know what that feels like if you have any daughters."

"I would say out of the three of us males, Loki would be the scariest."

"Oh, yeah, Harry?" said Hades. "How so?"

"After he would be done with any male suitor, said male suitor would be sleeping for the rest of his life with the night-light on."

Uproarious laughter met this joke …

Author's Note: Another fun chapter. Read and review!

Smiles and laughter,

P.S.,

If it's not too much trouble, could somebody also leave some kind reviews on "Harry Potter and the Prince of Olympus"? I like all my fanfics, really, and I don't want to sound whiny, but it feels like a waste if I go to so much trouble to write a fanfic and hardly get any reviews. At least I won't hold a story hostage until it gets a certain number of reviews – I'm not a jerk, after all. Just letting everyone know … and yes, I have continued on that fanfic, given that it won the poll I put up.
