"Half Blood Harry Potter"

By Loki Palmer

Author's Note: Harry Potter and all related characters belong to J.K. Rowling. Percy Jackson and all related demigods (with the exception of Loki) belong to Rick Riordan.

DZ2: Nicely done, old friend; the three days and three nights is a Biblical reference. I also left a reference to デスノートDeath Note (the ability to see identities and how much time the person has left on the Earth).

WhiteElfElder: Yes, he briefly knew the Potters, but the death of Loki's mom took place a while before the birth of Harry …

ShadowEater666: Like I've said before, you can only imagine Fudge's ire when he finds out … oh, wait, I'm getting right to that … LOL …

Chapter 19

Fudge shook his head, as if to clear the cobwebs out of it.

"Madam Umbridge, perhaps I did not understand what you have just said to me, but it seems so incredible I have to run it by you again. Did you have the unmitigated gall to arrest a son of the scariest god on a trumped-up charge of murder without my authorization?"

"Who says I trumped up the charge? The evidence was there for everyone to see, and he admitted that he killed these upstanding people, Cornelius, including your rich friend Lucius Malfoy! He is a danger to the Wizarding World of Britain!"

Fudge waved away the idea that his friend Lucius was dead; sad as the news was to him and his coffers, Umbridge could not distract his ire. "Oh, he's a danger, is he? DON'T YOU THINK HIS FATHER WOULD BE A GREATER DANGER, ESPECIALLY WHEN HE'S PISSED?! LET'S NOT FORGET THE REST OF THE PANTHEON! WHAT ARE YOU, SOME KIND OF LACKWIT, TO BRING THE ANGER OF OLYMPUS DOWN ON OUR HEADS?!"

"What are you saying, Cornelius?"

"I am saying that I would fire you right here and now for such a colossal mistake, but it may be possible you can rectify it. With my authorization, you are to hurry to Azkaban and get Loki out of there! On top of that, I want you to convey your sincere apologies to the Pantheon. IS THAT CLEAR?!"

Madam Umbridge hung her head; she knew she had lost the Minister's support for what she did. "Anything else, Cornelius?"

"This: your job depends on it. Should he die, or should you harm one hair on his head, you are fired! Now, get your toadlike face out of my sight!"

When she ran out, he buried his head in his hands. "Alas, that woman's troublemaking has caused me more of a headache than I would care to admit."

"Firewhisky, Minister?" said a voice behind him.

He reached for the glass offered. "Why, yes, thank you." He looked behind him and leaped like the newcomer had scalded him. "EGADS! WHAT IS IT WITH YOUR SUDDEN APPEARANCE IN MY OFFICE?!"

"My apologies, Minister; it was not My intention to scare you, although My appearance does have that effect on mortals. I am grateful to know you had nothing to do with My son's arrest."

"The news shocked me, to tell you the truth. What do you think her chances of coming back alive would be?"

The Rich One's face had an unnerving grin. "Well, let's put it this way, Minister: you have a Dead Bitch walking to her own execution …"

A whistle sounded in the air, and Loki's hammer glowed.

"Harry?" said Percy. "Loki's calling us …"

"Well, the both of you had better get a move on," said Annabeth.

"It's high time he came back to us," said Thalia.

"Stay safe out there, okay?" said Hermione.

"We'll be back, ladies," said Harry. "I'm sure of it."

"Besides," said Percy with an uneasy laugh, "how bad could it be out there?"

They grabbed the hammer and disappeared. Annabeth looked at Hermione and Thalia and said, "I dread to think what they may find … even though I don't doubt Loki is alive."

"Do you fear what Azkaban may have done to Loki?" said Hermione.

"Or do you fear what Loki may have done to Azkaban?" said Thalia.

Annabeth shuddered. "Both."

As he sniffed the air, Peter Jonah "Wormtail" Pettigrew exited the Gaunt manor. I need a breath of fresh air, he thought. Something about that newcomer gives me the creeps. Also, the guest he brought with him …

~FLASHBACK~

Three thunderous knocks sounded against the manor door.

"Wormtail!"

Wormtail ran into his Master's presence. "Yes, my Lord?"

"Go see who is at the door."

He opened the manor door. "May I help you, stranger?"

Luke shot him a cocksure grin. "I'm sure you can. My name is Luke Castellan, I'm an exiled son of Hermes, and I wish to speak with your Master … about one Harry Potter." He saw Wormtail roll his eyes. "I see you are familiar with his name?"

"How is anyone in Great Britain NOT familiar with the Boy-Who-Lived? I was the pet rat for his friends, the Weasleys, for about twelve years … until Sirius Black unmasked me for the traitor that I was …"

"From one traitor to another, we have much to discuss … Mr. …?"

"My friends call me Wormtail."

"Well, Wormtail, it is a bit chilly out here … won't you let me in?"

"Oh, yes, by all means … right this way." He led him to Voldemort's room. "My Lord, we have an ally here who wishes to speak with us about Potter. His name is Luke Castellan."

"Potter, you say? Wormtail, if you would be so kind to turn my chair around ..."

Wormtail did so, and Luke flinched upon seeing the inhuman form in the chair.

"I know my appearance is not handsome, Castellan, so there is no need to call attention to it. What have you to say about Potter?"

"I know you have faced him at least a couple times, Lord Voldemort, without any success. I have faced him and his friends once in combat, though I lost as well."

"How did you come to face against Potter?"

"During the past Winter Solstice, I stole the Master Lightning Bolt from the King of Olympus. He sent His son, Harry Potter, to bring it back, along with Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon."

"Olympus, you say? So, these gods are real?"

"Yes, Lord Voldemort, they are. The myths of the ancient Greeks say that on occasion, they would come down and mate with mortals, producing demigods or half-bloods."

Voldemort let out a small chuckle. "The term half blood has a different meaning within the British Wizarding World, referring to someone who has one Muggle, or non-magical, for a parent."

Luke waved it off. "Politics, schmolitics."

"I read the myths when I was a child in the orphanage – fascinating reading, if I do say so myself. So, Harry Potter is a demigod? That explains a lot … like my defeat ..."

"I am a demigod … a son of Hermes … in fact, you are a demigod as well, Lord Voldemort."

If the inhuman baby had any eyebrows, they would have risen at this. "Is that so?"

"It is … your Father is someone the ancient Greeks feared so much, they wouldn't mention Him by name."

Voldemort let out a dark chuckle. "Like Father, like son, I suppose. It looks like I killed off the wrong Father …"

"What would you mean?"

"When I was growing up at Hogwarts, I discovered that the one I thought was my Father – a Muggle by the name of Tom Riddle Sr. – had abandoned my Mother, so I killed him and his family and framed my Uncle. But enough about me. Tell me: why did you steal the Master Lightning Bolt?"

"My plan was to deliver the Master Lightning Bolt to my Master so I could achieve my vengeance on Olympus. It was the combined forces of Harry, Percy, Hermione, Annabeth, and Loki that sent me down to Tartarus."

"Who are these last three? Hermione is a name I've heard from Wormtail ..."

"She and Annabeth are daughters of Athena, while Loki, like yourself, is a son of the Rich One."

"How interesting it would be to have someone like Loki on my side ..."

Luke shook his head. "While I do agree that he can be dark and scary, for some reason I can't fathom, he would much rather kill you and toss your corpse into the Styx than join us."

"I see. Who is your Master, Luke?"

"Who else but the King of the Titans? Would you like to meet Him?"

"Of course I would. Wormtail, if you will carry me ..."

Wormtail picked up his Master and they followed Luke outside to the graveyard, where they saw a white coffin that was not there before. A chilling voice came out of it, saying, "My grandson ..."

"WORMTAIL, YOU FOOL, DON'T YOU DARE DROP ME IN YOUR COWARDICE!"

Fear had consumed the traitor so much that he did drop his Master.

"YOU COWARD! CRUCIO!"

Wormtail's screams echoed around the Manor's environs.

"Why I picked such a yellow bellied ninny for my forces is beyond me!"

"Such dark hatred, My grandson … it is enough to make Me proud … you need a resurrection … I need a resurrection … together, We shall make Our enemies beg for Death … and then, We shall grant their wish … come closer ..."

Luke picked up Lord Voldemort and brought him to the coffin, which they touched …

~WITHIN VOLDEMORT'S MIND~

Voldemort saw before him the mending figure of a tall warrior lying down, and a scythe standing nearby. The figure's gaze pierced him with a pair of golden eyes.

"Harry Potter has been a thorn in your side for so long, am I right?"

"He has, Grandfather."

"I sense you have a plan to weaken him and his allies, and I approve. Perhaps Castellan can offer his services to you, if you should need them while I continue mending Myself."

"How much longer will this mending take, Grandfather?"

"I estimate it should be about a year more before I am ready. In the meantime, Castellan, you are to serve Lord Voldemort in My name, do you understand?"

Luke knelt. "I will, Master."

"Good … your service, Castellan, will be My down payment on this, Our alliance. I will claim full payment when I am ready ..."

~END OF MENTAL SEQUENCE~

~END FLASHBACK~

There are advantages to being an Animagus, Wormtail thought. Though I am sure Sirius has exposed my Animagus form, who would find me all the way out here, in the middle of nowhere? Wait, is that cheese I smell? It's good cheese, too!

Oh, there is at least one bloody disadvantage, he thought as his human side fought against his animal side. Wait, you idiot, it could be a trap!

But I'm hungry – and it's been so long since I've last had any cheese! Mmmmmm … cheese …

No, do not go after the cheese, do not go after the cheese, do not …

CLANG! As he reached the cheese, a cage lowered over him.

D'OH! YOU IDIOT!

He saw an auburn-haired girl with a silvery glow about her lift up the cage and look at him.

"Ha! Now I've got you, you traitorous bastard!"

D'OH! Of all the people to catch me, why does it have to be Her?

"I could have shot you with My bow from a hundred yards with no problem … but I thought I would be merciful for once ..."

This admission brought no comfort to Wormtail as he considered the crimes he had committed. For all he could guess, the gods had a worse idea for his punishment …
