Tony and I stood hand in hand at the airport, I was listening to the announcements as each flight came in, and Tony was looking around trying to spot his mum as each new person exited the arrivals lounge. Finally when I heard that Jenny's flight had come in I picked Tony up and put him on my shoulders so he could spot his mum through the crowd. I knew that it would be a good twenty minutes before she actually came through the doors but it meant that Tony had something to occupy himself. I knew that it had only been a week but I had missed Jenny like crazy, missed the cuddles and kisses, missed the late night talks that we shared and the moments that we had together with Tony, missed her smile and her laugh. I was pulled out of my thoughts when Tony tapped my shoulder before pointing to his mum

"There's mummy, there she is" he squealed and as I helped him off my shoulders and placed him on the ground we ran toward her. Wrapping our arms around the woman we loved, I kissed her forehead pulling back so she could pick up Tony and give him a hug

"Hi mummy" he said excitedly as she wrapped her arms around him "I missed you lots and lots" he finished and she kissed him all over his face

"I missed you too Tony boy" she said before turning toward me and kissing me

"I missed you too Jethro" she said and I nodded

"I missed you as well Jennifer" I told her as I pulled them both into a hug. Feeling like my family was complete again.

As we left the airport Jenny told me that she had slept on the plane so that she could be ready for a full on afternoon with her two boys. So we decided to do a little Christmas shopping. As we pulled into the shopping outlet Jenny got Tony out of the car and then held his hand as we walked across the car park. I smiled as I watched Tony babbling on and on about what we had done in her absence. Letting Jenny know where I was going I went into a different store so that I could buy their presents without them seeing what they were, luckily both stores that I went into had gift wrapping services. I found Jenny and Tony with a gift wrapped present of her own before I picked up Tony.

"Hey Tony why don't we go find mum a Christmas present?" I asked and he nodded his head ecstatically, as Jenny got the message. After Tony and I found the perfect present for Jenny and a couple of small things to give her, and making sure they were all gift wrapped we waited outside the store that Jenny was in getting the presents wrapped.

"Alright lets do some grocery shopping and then we can head home and get started on making dinner" she said and I nodded. When we came out of the grocery store Tony spotted a line that was leading into what was supposed to be Santa's grotto. He jumped up and down excitedly and begged to go have a photo. So sending Jenny off to wait in line with Tony, I headed off to put the groceries in the back of the car. About five minutes later I was in line with them both and they'd moved like four steps closer to the front of the line. Eventually we managed to get in and Tony ran up to Santa and sat on Santa's lap chatting animatedly about what he wanted for Christmas. He had a couple of photos with Santa before he whispered something to the Santa Clause and the Santa called out to both Jenny and I to come and join Tony in the photo. So with Jenny and I standing behind Santa, my arm wrapped around her waist and a smile on my face the flash went off and the photographer said

"Another and this time make it sweet" so I did just that. I leaned over and kissed Jenny's cheek and pinched her waist which caused her to squeak.

When we finally arrived home with the grocery shopping and Christmas presents for Christmas day we sorted them out putting them under the tree and then we found the Christmas photos and lined them against the mantel. Jenny took a moment to look around at the decorations and smiled delightfully at the room.

"Its beautiful" she said and I smiled

"Do you like it mummy?" Tony asked excitedly and Jenny nodded

"I love it Tony boy" she said and Tony clapped his hands excitedly. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her cheek

"Its so good to have you home Jen" I said and she turned around kissing me passionately

"Its good to be home Jet" she said and I smiled.

"I love you Jennifer" I said and she smiled

"I love you too Jethro"

Over dinner a little while later Tony was talking animatedly to Jenny about his conversation with my father and even went so far as to mention that Jackson had invited us to Stillwater sometime before we went back to work. I smiled at the cheekiness that Tony had and when Jenny turned her attention to me I nodded

"He is correct" I said and she smiled

"So when do you want to go down?" she asked and I looked at her shrugging before I said

"Well I'm sure you'll want to spend sometime with your sister and parents as well so we can work it out with them" I said and she nodded

"Alright sounds good" she said returning her attention to Tony. I smiled it was good seeing the two of them together again, I swear that since Tony was born those six and a half days were the longest amount of time the two of them had been away from each other, and I was rather glad that she had trusted me with looking after him while she was gone. That trust that she had in me made me feel incredibly happy and proud of how far and strong we had come as a couple.

The next couple of days after Jenny's return were spent, doing the last of the Christmas shopping and then baking and cooking for the Christmas feast. Jenny had rung her parents and sister and apparently her sister and brother-in-law were going to be out of town on Christmas and Boxing day to spend time with his family so we would be celebrating Christmas Eve with them and Jenny's mum and dad. After that we were heading down to Stillwater to spend Boxing day with my father and would be there until New Years.
