A creek went through the silent building. Kakuzu cringed as it sounded a lot louder in the deafening silence. Armed with a crowbar, he slowly stepped inside, glancing around for any sign of the zombies. Hidan walked passed him going towards the back to look for any danger.
"There's a few of those fuckers out back, but the door's closed, they can't come in here," Hidan said as he appeared in front of Kakuzu.
"Alright, lets find some bags to put the stuff in," Kakuzu said.
"Hey, dumbass?" Hidan asked as he found duffle bags and more backpacks.
"What?" Kakuzu said as he started to load the bags with canned foods.
"Maybe we should steel a fucking car, get this shit back easier," Hidan said as he started packing a duffle bag full of bottled water and other drinks.
"That's a good idea, Hidan," Kakuzu answered.
"Heh, thanks, fucker,"
They were quick to fill the bags with all the food they could find. Soon Hidan went outside in search of a car they could steel.
"Hey! Dumbass, I found one, parked right in front of the entrance!" Hidan said as he started to grab bags and carry them back to the car.
Soon the car was filled with bags and they were about to leave when Hidan remembered something.
"Shit, we forgot Konan's Jashin damned pads or tampons or whatever the fuck," he said as he sighed.
"Let's go back," Kakuzu said.
They entered again and each grabbed an empty bag they didn't manage to use earlier and started to pack some female things for Konan.
"This is just Jashin damned weird," Hidan said as Kakuzu started to load some chocolate and other sweet things into the bag as well as some flashlights and batteries.
"Yeah," Kakuzu answered as he zipped the bag shut. "You done?"
"Yeah, let's get out of this Jashi-" Hidan was cut of by the sound of breaking glass. They both ducked and heard slow dragging footsteps along with groaning. Kakuzu signalled for Hidan to make a break for it and run. He nodded and took off, Kakuzu hot on his heels.
They jumped in the car and started it just as a few zombies came out.
"Fucking, floor it!" Hidan yelled at Kakuzu who was in the driver's seat.
"On my count, we split up, got it?" Pein asked as they stood at the front door. The others nodded, ready to fight.
"One, two, three!" Pein yelled as he threw open the door and watched as they all tumbled in and immediately split up. He and Konan walked slowly through the front entrance and looked into the living room. Once they saw nothing, they moved on towards the kitchen.
"This place is amazing," Konan commented as she slid her hand on the kitchen counter.
"It is," Pein answered as he went to leave the kitchen and into the basement.
Konan started breathing heavily as he descended the steps into the darkness.
"There's nothing," he called as he came back up the steps.
Itachi sighed as he looked into yet another bedroom. It was empty. Kisame yawned from beside him as they continued down the hall of bedrooms and bathrooms.
"Can't believe this place is so nice, it's almost to good to be true, ey Itachi?" Kisame asked as they checked another room.
"Hn, it is," Itachi replied.
Kisame grinned down at the Uchiha and watched as he continued on, pretending as if he hadn't just blushed lightly at the shark's grin.
"There's nothing in here, Mister Zetsu!" Tobi yelled as he came out of a game room.
"This is ridiculous," Zetsu said as they walked around more.
Deidara let out a feminine squeak as a mouse ran by his feet, coming out of seemingly no where.
"Brat, calm down," Sasori said with a smirk as he watched the blond in amusement.
"But this place gives me the creeps, danna, un," the blond said as he stood in the middle of the room.
"Attics tend to do that to people," the redhead stated boredly.
"Let's go, brat,"
"Find anything?" Pein asked as the others came down the stairs
"There's no one around," Kisame said.
"Good, how many bedrooms?" Pein asked once again.
"'Tachi and I found seven," Kisame said as he counted on his fingers to make sure.
"Some had bathrooms connected," Itachi added.
"Danna and I found two, un," Deidara said.
"I think one of them was the master bedroom," Sasori said as he looked around lazily.
"Mister Zetsu and Tobi found three! Oh oh oh! And a game room!" Tobi yelled excitedly.
"Good so there will be enough room for everyone-" Pein was cut of by the sound of whispering by the door.
They all turned to look just in time to see a man with a bowl cut and large eyebrows burst through the door, looking ready to fight anything and everything.
"Hm?" He raised an eyebrow as he saw the teenagers stare at him.
"Oh, someone is already here, Kakashi," He said to a man named Kakashi.
Said man walked in after the green clad beast.
"Oh, eh, hello?" He said as he lifted his hand and showed them his palm. A wave.
"Itachi!" A voice came as the elder Uchiha was practically tackled in a hug.
"Sasuke? Oh, your safe," Itachi said in relief as he returned his brothers hug.
Now normally the two wouldn't be hugging each other or be this emotional, but it was the apocalypse, after all.
"Please, come in, everyone," Pein invited.
Everyone stepped in, looking around.
"Thank you, for letting us in, I'm Kakashi Hatake," Kakashi said as he held out his hand before him.
"I am Pein," Pein said as he shook the silver haired man's hand.
The door was once again kicked open as Hidan stepped into the room, clutching two bags in each hand.
Hidan let the bags fall as a knife was pressed to his neck.
"Who are you?" Iruka asked, pressing the knife a little harder against the zealot's neck.
"Relax, he's one of us," Pein spoke.
"Would you kindly get that piece of shit out of my face?!" Hidan yelled.
Iruka stepped back, looking ashamed.
"I apologise, it's just that-" he started, but was cut off.
"No need for apologies, let's help them carry the bags in, shall we?" Pein dismissed as he walked out the door. Soon all the bags, including the ones hidden in the bushes, were all inside the house and unpacked.
"This place is fucking huuuge," Hidan said as he whistled.
"Please, everyone gather around," Pein called.
They all stood in front of the front door, waiting for Kakuzu to return as he had went and locked the gate.
"There are twelve bedrooms," he started once Kakuzu came back.
"We'll have to share, two in a room, three will have to take the couches," Pein said.
"Oh my youthful children, don't you worry! I'll take one of the couches!" Gai yelled enthusiastically.
"Yes! I will too, Gai sensei!" Lee yelled just as enthusiastically. Tears started streaming down Gai's face as he threw an arm around his precious student.
"Yes, Lee! That's my boy!" Gai yelled.
"Oh, Gai sensei!"
"Lee!"
"Okay!" Pein yelled, interrupting their strange moment.
"Anyone else?"
"I don't need a bed," Gaara stated.
"Alright, it's settled then, choose your partner and get settled," Pein instructed as he and Konan went up the stairs in search of a room.
"'Tachi? Want to be my room buddy?" Kisame asked with a sheepish grin.
"Hn, very well," Itachi said as they walked up the stairs.
"Yayy! Tobi's with mister Zetsu!" Tobi yelled as he pounced on the unexpected man.
"Hey blondie, you gonna pair up with fire crotch?" Hidan asked as he flung an arm around his best friend.
Deidara blushed deeply about to answer when he felt an arm snake around his waist.
"Yes, the brat will be with me," Sasori stated as he snatched the blond away.
"Fucking cunt," Hidan mumbled as he went to Kakuzu.
"Sakura! Be my roommate?" Ino asked.
"You bet!" Sakura answered as they giggled and left.
"Hinata, come on," TenTen said.
"B-but what a-about, Temari?" Hinata asked shyly.
"Oh, she's rooming with Shikamaru," TenTen answered, smiling when she saw the blush on the female Hyuga's face.
"C'mon you know they're dating,"
"Ah, man I'm tired," Kiba said as he flopped down on the bed.
Shino walked in, quietly sitting on the bed.
"At least we don't have to do homework, what an eventful day," Kiba sighed, closing his tired eyes. Before Shino could even answer, Kiba had fallen asleep.
Pretty soon the house was quiet as almost everyone fell asleep.
Gaara sighed as he stared out the window, watching as it slowly turned dark outside. He was pulled out of his thoughts by Sakura, Ino and Hinata walking down the stairs.
"O-oh, G-Gaara, w-what are you doing u-up?" Hinata asked.
"I don't sleep," he said simply.
"Oh," she whispered out.
"What are you doing?" He asked her, raising a non existent brow in question.
"Hm? Oh, w-we were thinking a-about starting dinner," she said quietly.
"Hn," he grunted. She took that as her sign to leave and made a quick exit.
Soon the house was filled with the smell of food as the three girls started cooking. A while later the other three girls joined, preparing the food more quickly.
"How are we going to wake up the others?" Ino asked.
Temari smirked evilly and grabbed two pans. She went and climbed the stairs, the other girls following her. She then slammed the two pans together and screamed at the top of her lungs
"FOOD!"
It was silent for about five seconds before frantic footsteps came running.
"Out of my way!" Naruto yelled as he pushed passed the girls and stumbled down the stairs. Kiba was soon to follow Naruto. The others made their way to the kitchen calmly. Temari smirked triumphantly as she stalked down the stairs.
