Gloomy. That one word was the only one needed to describe the past week after Gai's death. Gloomy, depressing which ever one, you pick. Not to mention it was raining cats and dogs outside and it has been for this particular week. It's as if the sky was weeping along with Rock Lee, who has yet to get a grip on himself again.
"Damn, this rain is murder on my garden," Zetsu mumbled to himself as he stared out the window. Sighing, he could hear Lee crying from the living room couches. It won't be long before Gaara, Sasori, Hidan or he himself would snap and yell at the boy, telling him to get a grip, build a bridge and get over it, but that would probably make it worse.
"M-mister Zetsu?" A timid voice rang through the otherwise quiet kitchen.
Letting out an audible sigh, Zetsu replied harshly;
"What, Tobi,"
"Mister Zetsu, w-will you miss Tobi, when he dies?" The boy asked.
"Tobi, I don't think anyone will miss you, yes we will miss you, Tobi, no we won't," Zetsu said, confusing the boy.
"Mister Zetsu w-won't miss Tobi?" The masked man asked, his voice shaking slightly.
"No!" Zetsu snapped. Inwardly he cringed at the quick intake of breath. Tobi began to whimper.
"O-okay, mister Zetsu," Tobi said before rushing out of the kitchen.
Sighing once again, Zetsu left the kitchen to go apologise to the energetic boy.
When he reached their shared room, however, he found Tobi hastily packing what little belongings he has into a backpack.
"Tobi, what are you doing?" He asked as he stepped further into the room.
"Tobi's leaving, mister Zetsu," he whispered.
"Why?"
"Because, Tobi isn't wanted here, not by Deidara sempai and not by," Tobi drifted off as a sob wracked his body.
Zetsu waited patiently for the boy to continue, though he already knew what he was going to say.
"By mister Zetsu," Tobi finished as he continued packing, trying to stuff all his unfolded clothes into the bag.
"If you want to leave, you shouldn't leave, Tobi, you have to at least fold your clothes," Zetsu said looking at the boy's back as he had stopped moving.
"I do want you here, Tobi, I was just frustrated, the rain is ruining the garden we both worked so hard on. And if that insufferable brat doesn't stop crying I'm going to break his neck," Zetsu said, stepping closer to the trembling boy. Once he reached Tobi, he turned the boy's body to face him, nearly flinching at the tears falling from under his mask.
He sighed, reaching up to pull the mask off, but the boy jerked away. Zetsu gave him a stern look before reaching up and grabbing the end of the mask. Encouraged, he pulled it off and felt a tug at his heart. A pained expression rested on the scarred face. Zetsu placed his hands on the beautiful boy's cheeks, whiping his tears away with his thumbs.
"I want you to stay, Tobi," Zetsu murmured before leaning in, pressing his lips onto Tobi's, waiting for a reaction. At first the boy stiffened, but quickly relaxed and placed his hands on Zetsu's shoulders. Zetsu deepened the kiss, licking the youngers lower lip, asking for entrance. Tobi immediately obliged and parted his lips. Zetsu's tongue entered and started exploring, licking at Tobi's tongue, inviting him to play. Shyly, Tobi obeyed and started to hesitantly lick at Zetsu's tongue. When the need for air became to strong they pulled away, panting slightly. Zetsu rested his forehead on Tobi's, smiling at him.
"Jashin, fucking dammit, would you just stop crying already?!" Hidan said as he walked in on Lee crying on the couches again.
"B-but, Gai sensei!" Lee sobbed painfully, heartbroken all over again.
Hidan raised a brow at the weeping boy before sighing. He sat next to Lee, who was laying on his stomach on the couch.
"Alright look, kid. I'm not fucking good at giving speeches, but I'll fucking give it a shot. It's the apocalypse, boy, your gonna lose more people than your precious sensei, or whatever. You've got to fucking move on. Like you said, don't let Gai's death be in fucking vain! He wouldn't want to fucking see you like this! How the hell do you think he feels knowing his precious student was lazing around, crying his eyes out like a hormonal girl on her fucking period, instead of training?! Like seriously, man, you used to be in great shape! Look at you now! Get up and fucking run three hundred times around the yard!" By the end of his speech, Hidan was standing and Lee was looking up at him with tearful eyes.
"B-but,"
"I don't want to fucking hear it! FOUR HUNDRED LAPS! AND IF YOU DONT FINISH BY LUNCH YOU WON'T BE GETTING ANY! INSTEAD YOU WILL BE WALKING AROUND THE HOUSE ON YOUR HANDS AND DOING CHORES WITH YOUR FEET! DO YOU HEAR ME!" Hidan all but screamed.
A determined look rested on Lee's face, his tears and mourning forgotten.
"Yes, Hidan sensei!" Lee yelled.
"Why are you still standing here?! Get moving!" Hidan yelled before Lee took off running.
"What was that all about?" Kakashi asked, looking in the direction Lee had run off to.
"The kid needed motivation," Hidan said before sighing and walking off. Kakashi smiled after the silver haired man, thankful that he was able to get Lee out of his depressed state.
"But, dannaaa," Deidara whined as Sasori was trying to get the blond to leave the bed.
"Get out now, brat," Sasori said as he was getting flustered from anger.
"It's so nice and warm, danna, un," Deidara said with a playful smile on his lips.
"What can I do to get you out of bed, brat?" Sasori asked, completely frustrated now.
"Mmmm, un," Deidara pretended to think before a mistuvous smirk crossed his face.
"There is one thing, un,"
"What is it, brat,"
"A kiss, un," Deidara said playfully, fully expecting to be rejected.
"Fine, but you have to come and get it, brat," Sasori said, a smirk on his lips at the shocked look on Deidara's face.
"Really, danna?!" Deidara asked excitedly.
"Yes, brat, now come," he said impatiently.
Deidara scrambled to his feet, nearly tripping over the bedsheets, before coming to stand in front of his danna. Sasori chuckled at his eagerness, before pulling the brat closer and connecting their lips. Deidara felt a small spark, trying hard not to smile into the kiss. He pressed his lips a little harder against Sasori's, fully attending on deepening the kiss, but pouted when he felt Sasori pull away. The redhead smirked at the blond's pout before pecking him on the lips and leaving the room
Hidan was just walking outside, minding his own business when he was tackled by a blond blur. He immediately knew who it was, just from the blond hair tickling his neck.
"What the fuck, blondie?!" Hidan yelled out in surprise.
"Guess what, guess what, guess what, un," Deidara said, a large grin on his face.
"I don't fucking know," Hidan said as he sat up, his best friend in between his legs, arms wrapped around his torso.
"Danna kissed me!" Deidara blurted out, much to excited to contain it anymore.
"What?!" Hidan asked, shocked. The blond just nodded his head furiously.
"Does that mean you two are fucking together? Like dating together together?" Hidan asked a smile on his face, happy that his blond friend finally got what he wanted.
A frown crossed Deidara's face.
"I don't know, un, I guess we didn't really talk about that," Deidara said as he looked off to the side.
"Well I think you should," a female voice said.
"Did you hear Konan? Blondie and fire crotch are fucking!" Hidan said, excitement clear in his voice.
"Hidan! We just kissed, un," Deidara said, a dark blush washing over his face.
"You hear that, weasel? Blondie got a fucking kiss from his crush! Did you get any from your fish?!" Hidan asked, grinning.
"Hn, I don't recall anything happening between you and Kakuzu," Itachi said simply.
"Keh, whatever," Hidan mumbled as he and Deidara stood.
"Hey, Kankuro, wake up," Choji said as he slowly shook the brunette. Kankuro mumbled something and rolled over.
"Heyyy, wake up, I want to go get breakfast," he said as he as he started to shake him a little more roughly. Sighing when it didn't work, Choji leaned over and kissed Kankuro on his cheek, nearly jumping out of his skin when the brunette sat up quickly.
"Oh, mornin', Choji," Kankuro said, stretching roughly before flopping down on top of the blushing boy. Kankuro smiled as he watched the warmth spread over the chubby cheeks.
"You were up late reading that book again, weren't you?" Choji asked.
Kankuro scoffed before smiling and nodding his head. The brunette leaned down and connected his lips to the boy beneath him. It was brief, but sweet. Kankuro knew better than to keep the boy away from his breakfast any longer.
"D-danna?" Deidara asked nervously as he entered their shared room.
"What is it, brat?" Sasori asked as he was sitting on their bed, reading a book about puppets.
"Can I ask you something, un?" Deidara asked as he slowly sat on the bed next to the redhead.
"Yes," Sasori answered.
"A-are we, you know, dating now, un? Because of earlier?" Deidara asked nervously. It was silent for a moment, making Deidara hope that Sasori was thinking about his answer.
"No," Sasori said simply as he went back to reading.
Deidara felt absolutely crushed. Why hadn't Sasori said yes? All Deidara really wanted, was him. Sasori was the blond's world.
"B-but why, un?" Deidara asked, tears threatening to fall from his blue eyes.
Sasori sighed and slammed his book closed, frustrated with the blond.
"Because, brat, we could die any moment, so I don't want to get to attached and have my heart broken by you dying," Sasori explained, no emotion in his voice.
"O-oh," Deidara whispered out, the tears falling freely now. His shoulders shook and he just wanted to leave.
"Deidara-" Sasori was cut off as the blond stood up and rushed out of the room, not caring anymore. His heart was broken, shattered into a million tiny pieces.
"Deidara?" Konan asked, alarmed when the boy had slammed into her. He looked into her eyes, tears falling from his eyes and then started sobbing into her shoulder.
"Dei," she whispered before leading the blond to where she knew their other friends were. When she arrived with the blond a sobbing mess, Hidan was more than just angry. Deidara then told them what had happened and tried to act as if it was no big deal.
"Hn, I'll go talk to him," Itachi said as Konan, Hidan and Tobi tried to cheer up the blond. They nodded at him and he stood, calmly walking towards the blond's room.
Once he entered, he saw the redhead sitting on the bed with his head in his hands.
"I'm assuming the brat told you," Sasori stated.
"Hn," Itachi grunted in affirmation.
"Why are you here?" Sasori questioned.
"I came to talk some sense into you, Sasori," Itachi said, not once moving from his spot in the doorway.
"You believe that art is eternal, is that right?" Itachi asked.
Sasori looked up and glared at the Uchiha. Itachi returned the glare half heartedly before continuing;
"Isn't love art as well? If so, then you know that Deidara is going to feel this way until he dies. You just broke his heart by rejecting him. He's going to feel heartbroken for all eternity," Itachi stated before turning and leaving, knowing that his words had touched the redhead. He could only hope that he make the right choice. If not, he's going to suffer a beating from Hidan.
