Ethan mentally cursed as he army crawled through the ventilation system, shoving his hiking hat into his pockets as the cramped space quickly got extremely hot. His black hair stuck to his forehead and face, loosing it's naturally spikyness.

He knew he was no expert in battling. He was more attune to breeding and studying pokémon than training them. And thus, here he was, crawling through a cramped ventilation shaft.

He paused for a moment, glancing through a vent as he heard a loud, boisterous voice coming through the shaft. He glanced through the vent, curious as he saw a blond man talking to a silver-haired woman behind... bars? Why would

"You know..." he said, smirking. "I heard through the grapevine that there were some more intruders on this damn thing that needed to be taken care of." he slammed his fist into his open palm. "I'm going to do the taking care of, Hun."

"Do as you wish, Attila." Hun stated, looking up from her computer. "I'll watch her for the time being."

"Her...?" Ethan whispered under his breath, pressing his face against the vent cover, straining to see anything. He caught a glance of sandaled feet bound together by the ankles and an edge of a blue and white kimono. He widened his eyes. Luck was on his side, he found Krys!

The Attila walked out, leaving Hun. Ethan furrowed his brow. So it was him against the lady. He needed an opportunity. He sat there for a while, jumping slightly when the door to the cell suddenly opened, Hun walking inside and standing over Krystal.

"Are you...?" Hun trailed off, and there was suddenly a yelp of surprise and Krystal was suddenly in his viewpoint. "You are! You're trying to get loose!" Krystal looked up, glaring. Ethan pressed against the vent shaft, getting angrier at this woman with each passing moment. Suddenly, he heard something snap, and then a small clang. Then he realized that he was falling, his luck running out.

Ah, shit-!

Hun cast a long glance at Krystal, who stared innocently back.

Krystal had scooted to the corner of her cell, where, conveniently, a tiny screw was sticking out. For the last Arceus knows how long- it felt like hours, but for all she knew, it could've been just minutes- she's been rubbing the ropes around her wrists against the screw, trying to get the fibers to break.

""You know..." Attila said. She looked up, and saw the muscular man smirking. "I heard through the grapevine that there were some more intruders on this damn thing that needed to be taken care of." he slammed his fist into his open palm. "I'm going to do the taking care of, Hun."

Krystal widened her eyes. Intruders? Ethan?!

"Do as you wish, Attila." Hun stated. "I'll watch her for the time being." Attila's smirk grew, then he walked out the door to 'take care of' the intuders. Krys looked down for a minute. She didn't need to be rescued! She was not a damsel! But... She had to admit it did make her feel a little good to know that Ethan was possibly in here, searching for her.

"Get a grip, Krys," she shook her head, focusing on her screw again. "You don't even know if it's Ethan or not!"

So she continued to rub the ropes agains the screw. Every once in a while, the silver-haired woman would look over at her, and Krystal found it harder and harder to give Hun the same, innocent look every single time.

The door suddenly clanged open, and Krystal jumped slightly from the loud noise. She looked up, seeing Hun stalking towards he, eyebrows furrowed.

"Are you...?" she trailed off as she glanced down at Krystal. Krystal, in response, blinked, trying to look as innocent as she could. The bluenette suddenly yelped as Hun grabbed her by her hair and threw her across the room. She grunted as she landed. For such a small woman, compared to her partner, at least, she was strong! "You are!" she exclaimed, wrenching the screw loose from the wall then walking over to her. "You're trying to get loose!"

Krystal said nothing, simply glared in response. There was suddenly a loud clang, catching the attention of both females.

"Ah, shit!" a males voice exclaimed as Hun turned around, only to get tackled to the ground by said speaker.

"What the-?" Krystal squirmed around a bit before sitting up to turn around. Ethan blinked his gold eyes at her, then grinned.

"Krys!" he exclaimed.

"Ethan?!" she shouted back in shock, then going red. He saw her like this... Like some stupid princess... How embarrassing. Krystal glanced down. "What did you do to her?" Ethan looked down, then grinned.

"Guess I knocked her out." he said, chuckling. "I'll untie you." Ethan said, slowly crawling off Hun to make sure she was truly out cold. Krys sighed as Ethan came over, allowing him to free her hands, giving her rooms to free her feet. Dropping the ropes from her hands, she stood up, stretching, then turning to see Ethan binding Hun's hands behind her back. Ethan looked up at Krys, tying the not tight, then moving to her ankles. "I'm giving us a head start."

Krystal blinked as he finished, then snatched a strange, circular keychain like charm from her belt, holding pokéballs, then took a pokégear and a searched her pockets, finding a keycard.

"They're admins, so this should get us mostly everywhere." she said, holding it up, then walking out of the cell, placing the cellular device and pokéballs as far away as possible from the entrance.

"Do you know where you're pokéballs are?"

"No." Krys answered as she turned, watching him walk out the cell, leaving Hun with her head turned to the side, bound hand and foot on the floor. Ethan shut the door, making sure it was locked, then glanced back at her. She continued. "Vale took them. I have no idea where they are..."

"I'm sure we'll find the-" his word trailed off as he yelled suddenly. "Oh my Arceus!"

"What?!" exclaimed Krystal. "What is it?!" she heard a snickering, and watching in surprise as a Haunter rose up from behind Ethan, laughing. "Who's...?" It grinned wickedly, and showed an image of a certain, redheaded, scowling trainer. "Oh, I see!" Krystal exclaimed. "You're Silver's, aren't you?" Haunter nodded it's head.

"No wonder that thing belongs to him." Ethan muttered. "Like trainer like pokémon. Both are assholes."

"Can you lead us to a certain place or item?" Krystal asked. Haunter blinked. "My pokéballs, maybe?" slowly, Haunter nodded, turning and floating near the door. Making sure that the Admins Pass was in her possession, both she and Ethan followed the ghost type out of the room.

Hun groaned slightly, squeezing her eyes tight for a moment before fully opening them. She glanced around, wondering why her muscles were so stiff in her arms. She tried to stand, but realized, to her mortification, that she was now no longer the captor, but the prisoner.

"Insolent, annoying, brats." she hissed under her breath, squirming around for a moment, moving towards the door before realizing that, on the other side were her pokéballs and pokégear. "Damnit!" she exclaimed, slamming her head against the bars then quieted her voice as she listened to the word echo off the walls.

She did not need a grunt or anyone else coming in and finding her like this, bound hand and foot, outsmarted by a couple of teenagers. Hun turned with her back to the bars, deciding to take a wild chance.

"Attila!" she exclaimed. She waited for a moment, but failed to hear his thundering footsteps. "Attila!" again, nothing. She slammed the back of her head impatiently against the bars. How pathetic was she, the brains out of the partnership, and she was outsmarted by mere teenagers.

Hopefully, that blond dolt will come back from roughing up the intruders, or even better, run into the target and the moron who tackled her, then drag them back here.

Until then, she'd wait. Wait, and figure out the most painful way to punish the two whom made her look so pathetic.

"Family?" Silver growled out. Lyra took a hesitant step back, only to be prodded in the back with Vale's gun. She glanced at the blank look on the older girls face, gulping slightly at the throbbing pain forming along the places were she'd been kicked and punched, and turned back to a seething Silver. While Vale seemed to make no move that seemed threatening. She knew from her own experience even the threatening flick of the wrist would send the raven-haired girl into a frenzy of violence.

She shuddered, clutching her yellow bag that Silver had kindly returned to her. She had her pokémon, if nothing else. So Lyra stayed were she stood, a foot or two in front of Vale, and watched Silver and the masked man.

"What," Silver hissed out. "Family?"

"Your triplet brothers, your elder sisters, your partner and closest sister, Vale. And myself, of course, your father."

"Father?!" Lyra practically screamed in her mind. This creepy guy is Silver and Vale's and perhaps five other peoples father?! Then who... who was the mother?

"WHAT KIND OF FUCKED UP IDEA OF FAMILY DO YOU HAVE?!" Silver roared, his voice bouncing off the walls. "You are not my father! I know you aren't! Vale told me!"

"Ah, but I raised you when your mother left your father and she then abandoned you." the masked man stated.

"No! She didn't abandon me!"

"Yes she did. And here I was, kind enough to offer you a home with food and a warm bed, with siblings whom loved and adored you."

"No she didn't!" Silver shouted back. "My mother did not abandon me!"

"Did I stutter, Silver?"

"Don't say my name." Silver hissed. "You- You kidnapped me! Me and Vale and the others!" Silver shouted. Lyra imagined a smirk on the masked mans lips.

"You stuttered, Silver. Are you unsure?" Silver snapped his mouth shut, fuming. Lyra shifted slightly. "Silver. You've been gone much to long."

"Don't act like this is some sort of reunion." Silver hissed.

"But it is. Finally!" the masked man exclaimed, standing up and lifting his arms, as if he wanted to embrace Silver in a hug. "I have my youngest son back! I can start my plans anew, with you and Vale as my lead executives! My life, and your lives as well-remember, this includes you Vale- will be wonderful!"

"Can it, Mask." Silver growled. "I am not your son, and I want nothing to do with your plans." Mask crossed his arms behind his back, slowly coming up next to Silver. Silver glared at him.

Suddenly, Silver found himself on the ground, mouth open like a magikarp and eyes wide. Lyra let out a small shriek as Silver seemed to register the pain, slowly raising a hand to his cheek. Mask stood over him, and Lyra suddenly felt like she was watching something she knew all to well.

"M-Momma?" a six-year-old Lyra asked as she laid on the floor, clutching the side of her face, tears threatening to spill as she tried to pick the glass out. Her mother fumed over her, wielding the top of a broken glass bottle that her father told her to never touch until he said she could.

Lyra was scared. Momma's eyes were hazy and angry, like she did something wrong. Momma wouldn't hit her unless she did something wrong, right?

"It's your fault!" she shrieked, holding up the broken ends of the bottle. Lyra scrambled back, tears forming in her eyes as glass cut her hands and legs, alcohol causing them to burn like crazy. "It's your fault! You killed him!"

"Stop it!" Lyra suddenly shouted. Silver glanced up, seeing the brunette clenching her fists to her head, eyes clenched shut tight. He saw Vale raise the gun, widening his eyes, he tried to get Mask's annoying foot off his chest as the man pinned him down, nearly cracking his ribs as he increased the force to hold him down. An audible crack echoed throughout the room. Silver snapped his head up, ceasing his struggles slightly. He couldn't tell if it was a gunshot or not.

Silver watched in openmouthed horror as Lyra's eyes glazed over in a pained shock, then she just crumbled to the floor like someone dropped a doll. Vale blankly stared ahead, taking the gun and turning it back around. Silver, enraged, jumped up, shoving Mask out of the way, then tackling Vale to the floor as he skidded to a stop beside Lyra.

His heart pounding, he lifted the girl by her shoulders, examining her head for any signs of blood. Combing her hair out of the way, he was surprised to find a little bit of blood. Not nearly the amount he expected for a gunshot wound... He pressed against the bloody spot for a moment, and Lyra winced in her sleep. She kept breathing though, which relieved him greatly. Vale hadn't shot, she hit her.

"Still, though..." Silver thought, enraged as he saw Mask staring at him, Vale regaining her bearings. He was smirking, no doubt. He was probably enjoying this. There was a long drawn out silence. Suddenly, a creepy cackling filled the room.

The cackling continued, and suddenly, demonic clawed hands formed around Vale's upper arms, holding her in pace as a creepy head screeched behind her, dark shadows snapping around her. Vale suddenly snapped her eye open, the pupil growing smaller as the mask seemed to spark strangely for a moment. Silver recognized his Haunter, and knew that whatever happened it did wasn't any sort of electrical move to cause the wiring to malfunction. It was a Night Shade attack. It shouldn't be effecting electricity like this...

There was pause before Vale let out an earsplitting shriek, hands reaching up to claw at the mask on her face. It sparked more, and she shrieked louder. Silver felt a pang of fear in his chest as he remembered those times back when he and her were still like siblings, a hint of that protective brother in him bubbling up. Slowly laying Lyra down, he rushed forward, grabbing the mask on her face and wrenching it off. Like instinct her hand flew to her face the second it came off, covering whatever she hid behind it. Her head ducked down for a moment, dark hair falling in her face as she swayed a bit, falling and hitting the ground, her raven hair splaying around her, covering her shoulders and face.

"Well, my, my, my..." Mask stated as Silver dropped the disgusting item, backing back towards Lyra as his Haunter levitated four pokéballs around him. Haunter floated next to him for a moment, before grinning and disappearing with the pokéballs. Mask walked over to Vale, nudging her with his foot. The seventeen-year-old whimpered. "Seems it isn't working quite right yet."

Silver flinched as he turned his gaze to him. Slowly, Mask began chuckling, and if nothing else, nothing scared him more than that nearly demonic laugh. So he turned, to Lyra and making sure that her stupid yellow bag was secure on her shoulder. Silver slipped an arm under her knees, and jumped back up and bolted out the door as the chuckling echoed across the wall.

"Krystal!" Ethan exclaimed as the Haunter jumped in front of them. Four pokéballs floated around it, and Krystal beamed.

"My pokémon!" she exclaimed happily, taking them back, smiling. "We can leave now."

"Not yet." Krystal said slowly as the Haunter disappeared again. "They said that there were more intruders on here..."

"Lyra and Silver." Ethan facepalmed. "We need to find Lyra and Silver. Then we can leave this place."

"But are we in the air?" Krystal asked as they continued to run through the halls. "If so, how will we get down?"

"I dunno! We'll figure it out when we find the others!" Ethan yelled, rounding a corner only to slam right into another person. Said person let out a grunt as he stumbled back. Ethan looked up, seeing someone wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up. His face was shaded and covered, barely making out any features. "If you wanna fight, bucko, lets fight!" Ethan exclaimed, rash and quick to the point.

"N-No! I don't want to fight! What's wrong with you people? I'm trying to find Vale... I heard through the grapevine something happened..." Judging by his voice, he seemed to be sixteen.

"Don't care-"

"We can tell you were Vale is!" Krystal exclaimed, cutting Ethan off. "But only if you do us a favor." This seemed to perk the young man up.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Help us figure out a way to land this thing."

Silver tried to focus on something else other than the haunting chuckling that still echoed in his mind. Inwardly, he was cursing at his own moronic fear. Silently, he wished Vale the best of luck, for he saw her as a sister still, but could not help her now. They lived in different worlds.

He glanced around for his Haunter, wondering where it went, and again tried to figure out a distraction to calm his nerves. He felt the weight in his arms shift slightly, and glanced down to see if Lyra was waking up. She mumbled something, then slowly curled herself in closer to him. Silver felt his face heat up at this, but cursed at his own reaction.

Stupid, why was he reacting like this? Lyra... this was Lyra's fault. As soon as he ditched her at some Pokémon Center, the feelings should stop. He knew they would. They had to. Every person he made some sort of connection with, they up and left him.

He didn't need Lyra. He didn't need Vale or Mask or his parents or anyone. He just needs himself and his pokémon to annihilate everything and every obstacle in his way.
