Sophia awoke alone in her bed that night. She could remember all the events that took place the previous day. After being with Claude she passed out then came to shortly before returning to the castle. He hadn't lied at all. Being with him was very different from being with Sebastian. It left her nearly drained of all her energy. She could vividly recall the look of surprise on Mey-Rin's face after her return from town. She was stunned to say the least. Sonia herself had looked more than a bit flushed. Sebastian only stared at her before turning his back leaving the room. She couldn't read anything in those eyes. Frankly she was so worn out that she didn't care to try. If it was pain that he felt, then she was glad. He deserved it. Her killing spree still hadn't been ruled out completely. There was still time. All she had to do was make sure there were no visitors for the day then murder everyone. She had killed before and she was feeling enough rage to do it again. Why did Sebastian have to do this to her? He was destroying what little that she had tried to build with him. Maybe he didn't care. He was as hard as stone after she came out of her coma. Did he truly not want to be with her anymore? There were so many mixed emotions inside of her. She constantly felt like she'd explode at any moment. This wasn't fair what Sebastian was doing to her.

Then he had the nerve to say that someone was controlling him. It didn't seem that way before. Who was it? Mey-Rin, the master maybe? And since when? It all seemed convenient. Every moment around him or Mey-Rin was tense. Sophia had to constantly be alert and pretending to not be torn apart. While he checks, his stupid pocket watch and gives orders. Maybe she should sneak in his room and break it one night while he sleeps. Sophia smiles. That would be great. Except she couldn't recall at time when he slept. Never once did he retire for the night. Had his bedroom been untouched the entire time she had been in the castle. He had to be sleeping somewhere. Sophia recalls him saying his quarters was near the master's. Could he be telling the truth? Could the master be the one controlling him? The Master and Sophia certainly weren't on the greatest terms. She thought he had the potential to be a little shit sometimes. A young boy with too much power. Either way he was still her master. What she needed to focus on was finding a weakness and destroying Sebastian. He was with Mey-Rin now so maybe she could test the waters between those two. Sophia goes back to sleep with a plan.

The next morning everyone is up early doing usual chores and preparing for the master's breakfast out on the terrace. Sophia had recovered her strength by now and can do her share. Mey-Rin enters the kitchen where Sophia is fixing a floral arrangement for the centerpiece. She could go outside alone this morning. A part of her didn't care about being eaten by the creature anymore. Everything was over for her and would soon be over for those around her.

"Hmm." Says Mey-Rin

She gives Sophia a dirty look.

"What's your problem? Jealous?" asks Sophia smirking.

She had to keep the act going.

"Jealous of a whore. I doubt it." Says Mey-Rin

Sophia places one hand on her hip.

"Look Mey-Rin don't be upset with me because Sebastian isn't giving you any." Sophia giggles.

Mey-Rin gasps.

"That's only because I'm traditional and we're waiting until after we get married." Says Mey-Rin.

Sophia must hold back a huge laugh.

"I'm sure that's the reason." Says Sophia beaming.

"Don't try to make fun of me because I'm not spreading my legs for everyone like you." Says Mey Rin rolling her eyes.

"I know that it's tough because I slept with Sebastian first but don't worry. There's hope maybe you'll be half as good as I was." Whispers Sophia.

"You bitch!" shouts Mey-Rin

Baldroy comes into the kitchen.

"I heard shouting." He says

"That was Mey-Rin. You know how she overacts." Says Sophia

She pushes Baldroy's shoulder jokingly.

"I know what you mean." He says laughing.

"I do not!" Mey-Rin huffs.

Sophia turns to look Mey-Rin right in the eye.

"If you'll excuse me I have work to do."

Mey-Rin smacks her lips as Sophia picks up the arrangement and leaves the kitchen. Sebastian is already out on the terrace standing near the table checking his watch.

"You are right on time." He says

He doesn't look her in the eye. Sophia puts the arrangement in the center of the table.

"I do try to be prompt." She says not looking at Sebastian either.

"Very good. Since Claude has been courting you there's an improvement." Says Sebastian.

"A compliment? Now, that's a nice change since you've been engaged to Mey-Rin. What has it been? A whole fourteen days now?" snaps Sophia.

"So, you have been keeping count." Says Sebastian

He looks Sophia straight in the face now. She stares back at him as her lips slowly twist into a snarl. Sebastian smiles as his eyes become a deeper red.

"You're quite like venom now." He says calmly.

"And you're literally a low down, lying, conniving, tall bag of garbage!" Snaps Sophia

Sebastian's smile never disappears as he leans over the table getting closer to Sophia.

"You've been thinking of killing us all haven't you?" he asks.

His eyes seem to be glowing more than ever before.

"Stay away from my thoughts."

"So, you admit that it's true?"

"You did this. Not me." Says Sophia

The glow in his eyes seems to fade suddenly.

"I mentioned before that it wasn't my choice." Says Sebastian.

"No one is controlling you. You're just a liar. Admit it!"

"We can no longer engage in this conversation. Nor be in any situation that will create suspicion."

Sophia steps back from the table in shock.

"Suspicion? Who's suspicious? Why do you even care? This is about us." she blurts.

"Precisely what I am stating. This matter is not of your concern."

"I don't understand."

"Yes, and I would prefer it to stay that way for your own safety." Sebastian says just above a whisper.

Master Phantomhive comes out to the terrace. He looks to Sebastian.
