Code Lyoko Mark II Episode Finished
Author: James the Lesser/The Bunnyman
Disclaimer: I Do Not Own These Characters! Moonscoop Does! Actually, I own most of these characters, I made them up, but the place and the settings and the back round stuff is Moonscoop.
I never finished this... IDK if I will. I was rererererereading and... yeah. Might do the "They go, fight, win, return" to skip Lyoko action like I'd been doing on other series.
Sanne works hard at the control panel trying to find a way to save her husband.
Xana is amused as he knows he can't be defeated. He has plans within plans. Always.
His attacks increase in frequency as returns are done. Two a week become three. Three become four.
Soon, after a few months, he is able to attack five times a week.
He attacks, the group comes together to fight him.
Well, not the whole group.
Jeremie focuses on a device to stop Xana. His wife has round the clock care to keep that off of his mind.
Being in Russia, hundreds of miles away, Xana ignores him. He and Aelita are out of the picture and Xana plans to use that to his advantage.
As the attacks increase in power, and the weeks become months, Xana becomes more and more confident in his chances of winning.
L.S. Is with Krieger in the woods. "A walk is just a walk until it is needed to get away from any electronics that Xana can use to spy on you."
"Not that he would see much." Krieger takes her hand in his. "If Jim remembers what he sees when Xana spies on us... It isn't like there is much to remember."
She giggles. "Not like what I am sure Ark and Sam have been up to."
He shakes his head. "I've walked in on them doing stuff but never that."
"Yet."
Both blush as they think about it.
"I love you Krieger. We've been closer than any one else for twenty years."
"Even if we've only aged sixteen years." He squeezes her hand lightly. "I love you too. Once we're old enough, I mean, you said not to propose to you."
"Yet." She smiles. "At least be out of regular school. You know I'll say yes when you do. Getting married won't be that big of a deal, will it? We lived in trailers together for four years. Spent entire summers together with your parents or mine after the big return."
"Getting married will be big no matter how much time we spend together." He stops, turns to her, and hugs her. "We need to beat Xana, and graduate, and figure a couple other things out first."
She hugs him tighter. "It's like, three things. We can handle three things."
"That's one way of looking at it."
They stand in the woods, hugging each other, feeling the warmth from the one they love.
Late that night, as Sanne walks through the sewers to go home, she hears a noise. "What is that? A drone?"
The sound gets louder and reveals...
"A military drone!"
A missile flies over her head, hitting the top of the sewer, causing it to collapse.
She scrambles up the debris, out of the sewer, with the drone close behind her.
When her phone rings she knows it is someone calling her to let her know a Tower has been activated. "A little late now!"
She dives behind a car as the drone fires another missile. It flies over her and hits the wall of a building. The explosion sets off car alarms and alerts the authorities.
Kadic Academy is quiet as the students lie in bed. Ark stares at the ceiling with a smile on his face. "Tomorrow is going to be awesome."
"Why?" Krieger has too much energy to sleep. The walk in the woods was relaxing compared to his normal work out.
"Tomorrow is Sam and I's big five year anniversary."
"You haven't been dating since you were eleven."
Ark rolls on his side to look over at Krieger. "Don't you say you and Sanne have been together for twenty years? Even if four of them were wiped out and time travel womby stuff happened?"
Krieger feels the rush off warmth to his cheeks. "Yes. We have though. Not always dating but we've been closer than anyone else."
"Ooo, how close?"
He glares at Ark. "Not that close. Not like you and Sam."
"We haven't been that close. Although what she told me about tomorrow that,"
The dorm building is rocked by an explosion.
"Xana!"
Both yell as they leap out of their beds.
"I have to get Sanne!"
"I better get Sam!"
"What about your sister?"
"She shares a room with Sanne so get her too!"
They run out of their room for the stairs.
The floor above is in chaos as all of the girls are out of bed and screaming.
Sanne, Skitz, and Sam know what it must be and struggle to get to the stairs.
"Move!"
"Get out of the way!"
"Go!"
The three make it to a stairwell and see the two boys.
"We gotta go, now!"
"No duh, Bro. We know that!"
"Then run!"
As the five make their way down the stairs the building shakes and screams fill the air again.
Vallejo comes across the collapsed sewer. "Sanne must have been down here. I have to make sure she is safe." He nods to his wife and she continues down the sewer.
Climbing his way up, he sees a building that has been destroyed by the drone. Screams in the distance let him know which way to go.
The Factory is empty until the teens make it.
"Where's my dad?" Krieger is out of breath after running the whole way there.
Ark looks around. "Maybe they didn't call him?"
"Shit, I'll do it." With smart phone in hand, Krieger calls his dad and tells him what is going on. "There were explosions but I don't know what caused them. Get here, please!"
"I'll be there in just," The phone turns quiet as a black mist comes out of it. "A flash.
The others can't help but laugh at the joke.
They get on the elevator and take it down to the Control Room.
They see the chair is empty.
"Kids, get to the Scanner Room. I'll send you then get the others."
"Thanks dad!"
As the teens make their way back on the elevator, Ulrich realizes it is stupid to use the Scanners, and instead turns in to a black mist and collects the five teens.
He drops them off on Lyoko. "I'll be right back."
Sanne and the others look around.
"There it is!" Sam takes off for the activated Tower.
"Wait for us!"
As Ulrich looks for Sanne at the Hermitage he finds she isn't there. "I should get Senoid and,"
His phone rings. "Jeremie?"
"Get me, now."
"Xana is attacking and I can't find,"
"Now! Get me to Xana."
Ulrich wants to question Jeremie but trusts him. For years, decades, he has trusted Jeremie with his life. With his wife's life. So when given an order...
Xana floats over the bridge waiting for the others. Not realizing Ulrich got the teens to Lyoko already with his powers.
"Did I kill them? I doubt those drones are that effective. Injured, yes. Dead? Not so easily."
Senoid climbs out of the sewer and sees Xana. "Shit, not good. Are the others already inside?"
Xana looks down at her. "Are you the only one to make it so far? How disappointing. I was hoping for more of an audience.
"I'm more than enough." Not really but I can't show fear. "Without using your powers I'm sure I could take you." She gets in a fighting stance. "How about I prove it?"
"Never." He fires an energy bolt at her but she dodges it.
When Ulrich appears with Jeremie, Jeremie has a device in his hand. "Ulrich, get her out of the way." He points the device at Xana. "Xana!"
He turns and sees Jeremie. "Oh, you dare come? After running away with your wife."
"I didn't run away." He smiles. "Amazing what I can build when I'm not in a cave and relying on Ulrich to get me parts."
"Oh?"
Jeremie presses a button on the device.
A light shoots out bathing Xana, Jim, in it.
"Jeremie, what are you doing?"
"Ulrich, run! Get Senoid out of here. I can't risk you or her being here when this works."
Again, Ulrich wants to question him. Instead, he gets to Senoid and turns both in to a black mist to escape to Lyoko.
"You think this is harming me?" Xana smiles. "It doesn't even tickle."
"It shouldn't." Jeremie flinches when the light changes color. "You've been scanned."
"Sending me to Lyoko?"
"Not exactly." Jeremie presses another button and the device crackles with electricity. "Jim, if you're still dead, I'm sorry."
"There is nothing to be sorry for!" Xana aims a fist at Jeremie. "Die!"
No energy comes out.
"What?" He tries again but still no energy.
The device sparks more, shocking Jeremie, but he hangs on.
Xana falls to the ground below him, knees buckling, and lets out a groan. "An EMP device won't work!"
He tries to stand up but collapses again.
"Not an EMP device. That failed when we tried it on my wife." Jeremie's hair stands on end as more energy surrounds him. "This is different. If I shot it at a power plant it would shut it down as it drains all of the energy from it."
"My power is infinite!"
"No, it isn't."
Xana stumbles as he tries walking towards Jeremie. A barrier forms around him trying to block the device's effects but it fails. "No! I won't lose to you! Not after all of this time."
"If I had this device when you were in my wife you would have never been a threat." Jeremie can't tell if it is the device affecting him or adrenaline. His heart beats faster as sweat pours down his face. "If I had the money and resources to build this back when I first found you no one would have died." He takes a step towards Xana. "You will never be a threat again!"
"Fool! You will never defeat me! I have a way to win no matter what!"
Jim shakes and then falls face first on to the ground as a black mist leaves him.
It attacks Jeremie and soon... "Yes! The fool thought he had me beat." The newly possessed Jeremie tries letting go of the device but can't. "You resist me?"
In his mind, where not even Xana can quiet him, Jeremie gloats. "I knew you would do this. Why I had Ulrich take Senoid. Leaving only myself."
"And? You will let me take you?"
"Yes. Except I am taking you with me. I will miss everyone. My daughter will miss her father. My friends will miss me at our dinners and vacations. My wife, well, I already told her what I planned. She hugged me and told me she loved me. She kissed me good bye knowing it would be the last time she ever could."
Xana feels pressure grow around him. It presses down from all directions. "What is this? What did you do?"
"A modified Faraday Cage. One that will contain you in a cube the size of a soda can. One easily placed on a rocket I have ready to go and launch us in to the Sun."
"No! I won't allow this! I will not let this happen!"
Jeremie laughs as the pressure grows. Forcing him to his knees as the weight becomes unbearable.
"NO! I don't believe a coward like you would sacrifice himself!"
He struggles against the device but soon discovers it is futile.
"Coward? I fought you when I was twelve. I've worked myself sick to defeat you for years. Yes, I may not have been fighting on Lyoko like the others. Instead I was up until the Sun rose working on programs. I skipped meals to keep my friends safe. I would have died when I was twelve, twenty, or now if it meant I could create a world without danger."
"Tower deactivated" L.S. Sees the screens fall around her. "We need a return but I don't know how to launch one." No one had taught her how. "Someone who does should be here soon I hope."
On Earth, in front of the Factory, a red cube glows on the ground.
Ulrich sees a text on his phone from Aelita. "Get Me. To Factory. Control Room."
"Is she safe to do that?" He closes his eyes and takes a breath. "Senoid, wait here."
"Don't have much of a choice, do I?" They are on top of a building in the city.
"Nope." Ulrich disappears as a black mist.
In the Control Room, Aelita holds out a plastic bag to Ulrich. "T-t-t-take t-t-t-his t-t-t-o t-t-t-he Sc-sc-scanner room."
"What is it?"
"Jer-jer-Jerimie's hair."
"Wait, we can't have two of him running around." She shakes her hair. "What? He, what did he do? Is he..." She nods. "How do you know?"
"He t-t-t-old me his pl-pl-plan. Go."
He nods, and goes down the ladder to the Scanner Room. Placing the hair in the middle scanner.
Aelita is careful as she types away at the control panel. When the doors close, she smiles, as she know her husband will soon be back.
"Huh?" Jeremie looks around. "It worked?"
"Aelita says you died."
"Then it worked."
"I have no idea, man. She said it did."
"Where did I fight Xana?"
Ulrich wants to hug him. Jeremie knew he died and seemed unfazed by it. "In front of the Factory. Why?"
"Take me there."
They appear near the cube and see Jim's body. It doesn't move.
Jeremie ignores it as he leans over the cube. "It did work." He gets out his phone and sends a code. "Amazing what I can do when I have time and a lab to work with."
"What did you do? You told me to take Senoid and go."
"The device would make Xana desperate as it drained his power. He would try and stop me by making me a host. Unfortunately, the second that happened, a different device would activate. It would turn us in to that cube. Locked away in a container small enough it can be placed on a rocket."
"Are you sending him to the Moon?" Ulrich can't say them, even though he should, as Xana and... someone who used to be his friend are trapped in it.
"Of course not. The energy would eventually drain and release him."
"Then what? Just launch him and hope he's so far away he can't find us?" He shakes his head. "I don't get it then."
"The Sun. The rocket, even coated in a heat shield, will burn to ash before it gets much past Mercury." Jeremie picks up the cube. "The cube will last maybe half the distance before the heat destroys it."
"Then Xana will escape! We can't,"
"No, he won't. The heat, the solar radiation, and the gravity will be too much. I've ran countless tests that show that even if he broke free just past Mercury he will be destroyed."
Ulrich trusts his friend with this. "Then what? Xana, he, he destroyed Kadic Academy. Parts of Paris as well."
"It doesn't matter. We pull our kids from school. Send them wherever we want. Or home school them. It doesn't matter, does it? What matters is we are alive." Jeremie holds the cube up to Ulrich's face. "And Xana is not."
305 Days later, Jeremie sees his rocket lose signal. It had gotten almost a million kilometers closer than he expected. Meaning the box will be closer before it is destroyed and Xana with it.
Aelita walks over with two drinks. One for her and one for him. "Jeremie, can we celebrate?"
"Yes." He smiles as she gets close.
With Xana gone, he and his mother in law worked day and night to cure his wife. A month and a half later, she was.
The teens all agreed on a new boarding school in Italy. Near Taranto, they have a good time together. Thankful they all had learned Italian before Kadic Academy had been destroyed.
The adults all bought homes near the school as well so they could visit their kids when they wanted.
Except...
Sanne Morales. She sold the Hermitage and moved to Canada. To a small village that Jim had told her countless stories about. It had grown since the days he was there but it remained much the same.
The bar he'd play pool at had closed. Instead a larger bar had been opened on the remains of the original that burned down after a grease fire in the kitchen.
The little grocery store had grown but is still family owned.
The road to the fire watch tower had been paved since he last drove on it but it still went deep in to the emerald green forest he protected.
Some of the people remember her husband. They all share their sympathy with her as she tells him he died a hero. Protecting her, their daughter, and their grand child from a murderer.
They love hearing about the life he lived after he moved. The many stories making them laugh at the memories she shares with them.
In turn, they share stories with her about him. Some she knew and others she didn't. Like the time he...
Two years later, the kids have graduated.
Everyone, including Original Sanne, have gotten together for a meal in Jeremie and Aelita's Taranto home.
L.S. Knows Krieger has a special surprise for her. "Come on, ask it already!"
"I want it to be romantic. Not chaos."
"Chaos?"
The house is filled with talk, laughter, and the sound of life.
"I want it to be a full Moon. On the ocean. The breeze blowing through your hair as I get on one knee and..." He drops to one knee. "Ask you to marry me."
"Yes!"
"Wait! Not-"
He is cut off as she tackles him to the floor.
Ark and Sam walk in on the two. "Hey! Save that for later you two."
"She said yes." Krieger can't hide the smile on his face or the marks of lipstick on it as well.
"Wait, you asked her here? In the living room?" Sam laughs. "I can't wait! Who is going to be the bridesmaid? Oh, and where? And..."
Sam hugs L.S. And both squeal in delight.
Ark helps Krieger off the floor. "Well, at least I can top this with Sam."
"I didn't plan on it here she just..." He sees the smile on her face as the light in her eyes. "It doesn't matter. I love her and she is happy. I want nothing more than that."
Ark leans in close to whisper. "I bet there is a couple things you want from her."
He takes an elbow to the ribs and backs away. "Ow, dude, that was a little hard."
"What's going on?" Skitz had heard Sam and L.S. And is curious.
"She said yes."
"Oh!" Skitz goes over and hugs L.S. Tightly. "I better be the bridesmaid!"
"What about me?" Sam gets close and the three hug each other.
For months, years, and decades time passes. The world grows, the people change.
Soon, no one who knew of Xana's existence is left. Their kids and grand kids and more never hear stories of him.
They never known of the threat.
Jeremie is correct that the Sun would destroy the cube and the being inside.
He sacrificed himself, never knowing if it would work or not. His hope that it would allowed him to sacrifice his own life to make sure it did. Even with his wife having his hair. If his plan failed...
It didn't.
The world goes on and on with different threats to peace appearing. Threats made by man and not a program. A program that was defeated, finally.
The great, great, great grand daughter of Sanne Stern is a natural genius with technology.
Before she could walk she could use an interface.
Before she could read she knew code.
On her first day of school she could write programs surpassing any the teachers could.
Her mother supports her education and gets her special tutoring.
Before she can drive, she builds her very first Quantum Computer.
Before she can drink, she builds a quad core Quantum Computer more powerful than any computer ever built before.
She wins awards and prizes from the international community.
Her medical discoveries increase the life span of the world.
Space travel is revolutionized by her as well.
She is called The Woman Who Invented The Future by many.
Humans spread across the solar system and when they discover near light travel, another of her discoveries, make plans to explore the galaxy.
Turning thirty, she gets a tattoo of a symbol she saw in her dreams. A symbol that makes her think of an eye.
When she has a child of her own, it appears to be smarter than even her.
Two generations later, over two hundred years since the death of Sanne Stern, the great grandson of the woman who invented the future turns sixteen.
He is on a colony ship headed for a newly discovered star system with credible evidence of being able to sustain life.
Much like his mother and his other ancestors, he appears to be the smartest person in the galaxy. He is chief engineer onboard. It will take almost thirty years before they arrive at the new star system even traveling less than one perfect slower than the speed of light.
One night, after a bad dream, he walks to the cafeteria. Sitting alone, he holds a hand palm down over the table.
Energy sparks between his palm and the table.
Xana always has a plan...
A/N Okay, this is rushed but I was rereading and forgot I hadn't finished this story. So I decided to finish it. Check out all of my other Code Lyoko stories. And Teen Titans. Young Justice. FMA Brotherhood. Batman Beyond. And others. Man I write a lot.
