Chapter Seven: Hell Hath No Fury...

With a heavy sigh, you looked up at the dark building looming in front of you. Why on Earth your parents had decided to let some STRANGER come and bring you here was un-freaking-believable. You sighed again, and began lugging your suitcase up the stone steps. As you climbed, you noticed a sign next to the enormous front doors that read "University of Transylvania" in bold, dark letters. A shudder ran up your spine as you once more regarded the ominous, almost castle like, building before you. It seemed difficult to imagine that only two weeks ago, your parents had packed you up and shipped you off to this "special school".

You paused and turned in anger as the reason for your arrival here started walking up the steps behind you, pulling two more suitcases. The strawberry-blonde haired Romanian. The bane of your ever lovin' existence. You glared as he easily pulled the rest of your luggage up the steps, reaching the top before you. He smirked, watching you struggle with your bag as the wheels continuously caught on the stone steps. Frustrated, especially with that stupid grin of his, you heaved your way up the final step and sat down, panting from the exertion of pulling your bag up the steps. He began to laugh, and you growled menacingly, daring him to say anything. He lifted an eyebrow and simply gave you a warm smile, unlike the haughty smirk you'd seen a moment ago. The two of you stared (or in your case glared) at each other before he sighed and turned towards the door.

Pulling out an ancient looking key ring, full of what looked to you like skeleton keys, he took his time and selected a soft, slightly worn bronze key from the ring, placed it in the lock, and proceeded to open the massive doors of this so called "school". The doors opened, and the Romanian turned and took all three suitcase handles. He pulled them inside as you stood and brushed off your raggedy jeans. Turning to you once more, he held out his hand and his eyes seemed to softly glow. "Welcome to my home, (y/n). Come, I will show you to your room, and you can meet some of the other, students, that go here." You rolled your eyes, and shuffled past him into the main entrance before stopping and looking around in awe.

Vlad's p.o.v.

She was so beautiful. My draga mae. She refused to let me help her, and I still found it hard to believe that she was at last here, at my home. Chuckling, I remembered how easy it was to convince her parents to let me bring her here once I had caught them in my thrall. The best part was that (y/n) had no idea that that was why they hadn't fought to keep her. However, this could be a problem. Letting out a heavy sigh, I watched as she slowly turned in a circle, trying to look around my home and take everything in at once. She really didn't remember me...all those years together, and I guess the spell I cast worked a little too well. I had only meant for it to temporarily wipe me from her memory, but after five years now I feared that the spell may have become permanent in her mind. My eyes flashed blood-red as I remembered what those, those heathens had tried to do to my (y/n) down in that tunnel when I first became a Vampire. A shudder ran through me as that night came forth from my memories once more.

*flashback*

My breath came in short pants as I held (y/n) close to me and ran for dear life. A horde of angry vampires was chasing after us, and I knew I had to get her away from them. It was my fault they were after her anyway. If only I hadn't gone back to the shop, if only I had just stayed away. They had seen us in the street though, and I knew that if I didn't go explain why we were there then they would have attacked. Looking down at the unconscious girl in my arms, I quickly took to the rooftops, dashing away from the vampires chasing us. Soon enough, we arrived at my house, and I brought her inside.

She still hadn't woken up, which made me wonder what exactly they had done to her before I saw her there. Casting a spell, I noticed that there was a bite on her neck. Oh no...no no no NO NO! She'd been bitten, and if I didn't do something quickly then she was going to turn. I had been cursed to be a Vampire, but not her. I wouldn't let this happen to my beloved (y/n). Leaning over her, my eyes flashed and caught the scent of her blood. The metallic tang tugged at me , drawing on my instincts. I fought the urge to claim her, and pressed my fangs into her wound, drawing out any venom or poison that had gotten into her system. As I did so, the urge to claim her grew stronger, and slowly but surely my instincts began to take over my body.

Shivering madly, I moved on top of her , pinning down her wrists as I drank deeper. She squirmed beneath me, crying out in pain, and I pulled away with a gasp. Her eyes gazed up at me in shocked horror, and I saw that her once (e/c) eyes were now a smoldering, deep ruby. "R-Romania...why?!" She choked and gasped, and I knocked her out as gently as possible. Fresh blood dripped down my chin, and I gazed down at her at she stilled once more. My breath was shaky as I climbed off of her. Fear took over me as I realized that in my lust for her blood I had claimed her after all. Her eyes stayed this way for about five minutes before finally fading back to their normal (e/c). Shivering from the aftereffects, Romania climbed off the bed and sat on the floor, watching as (y/n) fell into an uneasy sleep. Damn...damn damn damn damn DAMN! Why?! Why did I claim her? Now she can never have a normal life...I'm so sorry (y/n). I'm so sorry.

*end of flashback*

"-mania...Romania. ...ROMANIA!"

I shook my head and realized that (y/n) was standing in front of me with her hands on her hips. "A-ah, yes? What is it Drag- er- (y/n)?" She rolled her eyes at me and began to sigh. "You were spacing out, and then you kept muttering 'I'm sorry (y/n), I'm sorry.' If you're apologizing for bringing me to this so called "school" out in the middle of nowhere Transylvania, then apology still not accepted." She turned on her heel and began walking up the stairs in the Grand Parlor. "Um, Draga? You don't know where you're going yet. Allow me."

3rd p.o.v

As Romania led me up the stairs, I noticed that he was carrying all three of my suitcases with no difficulty. Damn, he must be wicked strong. Wait, what am I thinking?! This guy stole me from my home and stole my first kiss and-and-... Your mind trailed off as you remembered the things that Romania had done to you so far, and you couldn't help but blush. Who was this guy, that he had such an interest in you? It didn't hurt that he was hot, either, but he was still the person who took you from your home and family. Then again, your parents hadn't seemed too interested in helping you stay either. They had all but shoved you out the door as you went.

You stopped walking, and it took Romania a moment to notice that you were no longer beside him. He looked back and noticed you standing in the middle of the hall, looking desolately at your feet. "(Y/n)? Are you alright?" His voice startled you out of your thoughts. Shaking your head, you faked a smile and caught up to him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Are we almost there?" You tried to keep walking forward, but he caught your arm and indicated a set of double doors to your right.

Setting down your suitcases, he sighed and smiled at you. "This is your room right here. " Reaching into his pocket, he removed the key ring and took a shiny silver key off of the ring before placing it in your hand. "This key is for your room and your room alone. There is only like it, other than the Master Key." This time he held up a plain, un-decorated key. "The Master Key is for emergencies only, so you don't have to worry about me using it to get into your room. Since today is Friday, I'll give you the weekend to get settled in before you start classes. Believe it or not, we are actually a school, and you did get the full scholarship to go here. This has been my home for a long time, (y/n), and it became a school a long time ago too." As he opened your door with the Master Key, he pushed your suitcases so that they sat inside the doorway. "Thanks...Romania." He turned, looking shocked that you had thanked him, but you blushed and shut the door on him, quickly locking it with your key.

Leaning your back against the door, you breathed slowly to calm your heartbeat. Why had it excited you so much to see him shocked and flustered? A yawn came across you as you noticed that it was now nightfall. Stretching, you moved your bags over to the side of the bed, barely noticing how your new bedroom looked. Flopping down onto the mattress, another yawn escaped you as your lids grew heavy. Just before you fell asleep, you noticed a balcony on the far side of the room, and a shadow with glowing red eyes. Sleep soon took over, leaving you to dream about your new life, and what might happen during your stay here.
