Naori felt guilty as she trudged back to her house. Obviously Toka thought she and Izuna were having an affair, obviously the fragile… truce acquired after their pleasure on revenge had snagged, obviously neither of them—bearing the whole 'clan-pride' thing in their mind—would admit it was their mistake and obviously it was her fault.

Almost, as if by some external entity of self-reproach, she felt herself turn back towards their house.

By the time Naori arrived either the quarreling ceased or none of them bothered to talk to each other or both of them were asleep. In this case, all three options appeared to be true. After several fruitless attempts on knocking the door, she decided that it'd be best if she left.

Of course in reality, despite sharing the same room, the same bed, both Toka and Izuna tried to scooch away as far from the other as possible, each occupying a different corner with their own separate blanket scrunched over their exhausted faces.

Yet having only slept with Toka once, Izuna was doubtless unaware of her atrocious habits—no he knew about the snoring, that's why his ears were stuffed with sound-blocking earmuffs—the point is, Toka, as was her wont, grabs blankets unintentionally from others in her sleep. As a result, Izuna woke up at night feeling rather numb from the cold, bereaved of his cozy mantle, while Toka, sleep and sound, was hugging a bundle of blankets all across the other side as if they were her fluffy pet rabbits. He did consider waking her up and initiating a fuss and lecture about 'napping etiquette' but he eventually deciding against it. Toka, when half-awake, had her anger management issues amplified.

As expected, Izuna who was unable to fall asleep had dark circles over his eyes the next morning.

A/N: Come on, did you actually think they were going to sleep together? ;) This chapter was not that funny but oh well... Gotta admit that not all relationships are about light fluffy dates and sweet words. Guess you could say I have an affection for love-hate relationships, where the two eventually develop a fondness over each other due to long-time mingling.

As for Naori... mmm... guess I'll make her single for the rest of her life XD By the way, if you haven't noticed, this story is becoming more like a situation comedy...

Thanks for the reviews and keep them rolling!
