Toka's thunderous screams reverberated throughout the entire hospital, causing Izuna, situated outside the room, to squirm in discomfort.

She had adamantly insisted that he sat outside, barring his view from her less than dignified moments of childbirth. He reluctantly conceded, though was subsequently rather grateful for her request.

Mito was the only one of them permitted inside – she assisted the midwives and uttered words of encouragement.

Hashirama and Madara were with him too and they consistently shuddered at the sound coming from the room. Tobirama was decidedly absent, being occupied by another "babysitting session" at Naori's place. He had vociferously complained about the label girlfriend. No. Hell no. They weren't dating at all. He sent some flowers via Hashirama as a token of apology. Toka and Izuna had accepted them and, in an awfully considerate manner, said they understood his desire to spend some quality time with Naori, the object of his affection.

"Our mother never screamed this much when you were born," Madara complained.

Izuna shrugged, "Toka's not a normal woman, " before covering his ears.

"No kidding."

"IT'S A BABY BOY!" Bellowed a voice from inside the room.

Izuna immediately rushed in, but the midwife barred the other two from entering and sternly remarked: "Father only."

Madara simply snorted while Hashirama's shoulders slumped in disappointment.

Izuna saw Toka lying on the bed, with a small, rather pink, child cradled gingerly in her arms. The infant had Toka's brown eyes and Izuna's dark hair. He mewled and gestured his tiny hands in the air.

"He's beautiful," Izuna gasped. "Much better looking than you," he then added with a smirk.

"Oh shut up!" Toka rolled her eyes. She was covered in layers of sweat and her face was still red from all the strain.

"Just kidding," Izuna replied as he sat next to his wife. "What should we name him?"

"I was thinking… about Miso?" Toka suggested rather surreptitiously.

"You want to name our kid after your favourite soup?" Izuna raised his eyebrows.

"Why not?"

"He'll get teased a lot at school."

"What's wrong with having some originality?"

"Fine," Izuna sighed. "Miso Uchiha… an interesting name."

"Miso Senju," Toka rebuked.

"We're not going there."
