A/N: I've managed to find some time to write! Having been through a week of exams, I decided to take a break by writing this story. My other stories, however, will resume in two weeks.
Madara screamed as Miso defecated on his bed.
For the fifth time.
"Izuna – control that little shit for me! He's impossible!"
"Sorry brother," Izuna shrugged wryly. "He loves you and your bed too much."
Madara groaned as he picked up the four-month old infant.
"I'll change his diaper," Izuna offered.
Madara glared at him murderously.
"No, seriously, I will. Dinner is almost ready and Mito and Toka just might need some help from you," Izuna explained tersely.
His brother cursed while handing over little Miso, who bawled in delight.
Great, Madara muttered internally. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
"Cheers everyone!" Hashirama bellowed with a wide grin on his face as he clinked his wineglass against everyone else's.
"To Mito's unborn baby!" Toka shouted with delight.
Mito smiled a little as she declined the alcohol and caressed her emerging baby bump.
"To Toka's sanity and my sanity," Izuna added before dodging a blow from his wife.
In the midst of it all, Madara groaned, infinitely grateful that he was still a single man.
Truth to be told, he felt happy for his little brother, who had become a father of an adorable (if not rather unruly) child. His sister-in-law, it transpired, was still a terrible woman with a terrible temper and a tendency to smash things in rage. But then again, as he reflected, he wasn't much better either.
Both of them have raged about little Miso's habit of defecating just about everywhere and both of them would leave it to Izuna to sort things out.
Nevertheless, Madara preferred things this way. Marriage seemed too complicated a business. He had no idea how his brother or Hashirama (the perpetual man-child) managed it.
His thoughts were rudely interrupted by the doorbell.
It was Tobirama, strolling in apologetically with Naori.
"We're so sorry. We needed to send Kagami off to his friend's house before coming," Tobirama explained as he took off his jacket and sat down on a chair next to his brother.
"We brought Miso presents," Naori added, handing Izuna a bag of baby toys that were once Kagami's.
"Lovely," Izuna replied sheepishly. "And Naori, please tell me that you two are-"
"Yes we are," Naori interjected. "We're dating – okay?"
"Finally!" Toka threw her arms into the air.
"YES BROTHER!" Hashirama choked Tobirama in a suffocating hug. "I am so happy you've finally got yourself a loving companion-"
"Calm down," Tobirama groaned under the embrace. "We're only dating, okay? We're taking things slowly. I just asked her out yesterday-"
"Please, we know things started way earlier than that," Mito snorted.
"Oh please Mito, stop with that judgmental gaze already – you've managed to mate with my brother out of all people," Tobirama joked.
Hashirama dropped his arms from his brother and sulked.
Toka was cradling her baby in her arms. They just returned from dinner at Madara's.
"Don't forget the milk!" Izuna rushed into the room frantically with a milk bottle.
"Calm down Izuna," Toka grinned, "I'm taking my time."
"Don't take too long. Miso needs to be fed every 3 hours!" Izuna remarked didactically.
"Okay, okay, okay," Toka conceded.
He patted her and smiled: "Don't worry, you're doing just fine."
"I didn't need you to tell me that," Toka rolled her eyes as she chuckled. "Actually, I was wondering, if Miso manages to fall asleep tonight without waking up, would you like to…"
She gestured mischievously towards their bed.
"Okay, but we're using protection. And we're going to do it right. I've just endured 10 months of you getting pregnant and four months of our Miso urinating and crying everywhere and waking us up in the dead of the night. I'd like a few years of rest before going through the same experience again."
"Always the killjoy," Toka complained.
Izuna gave her a gentle peck on the cheek.
A/N: This is basically the last chapter of the story, save for one final (and brief) epilogue. Keep the reviews coming! :) It's been wonderful hearing from you guys!
