Long-time no see, amirite?

I've finally gotten back my inspiration for this story. It's been, what almost a year? Half a year at least. I was pretty 'stressed' - uhhh not the right word – with college. I started this year and finally finished. I took animation and i'm loving it, seacond years about 3D stuff :)

Anyway...

So expect more updates soon.

Right, please read the next part.

So as I stated in the last few chapters. There will be differences from the anime. I have my own idea that I want to implement as season 2 happens. You will see a little part of it in this chapter – and I don't just mean the foresight that Koga has (that will also be explained more in up coming chapters).

I will also be added and changing scenes to fit the story and my liking. You'll find sentencing will be different mostly.

Anyway, you may now read :')

The boat left the island's port and Koga stared, looking back as it began to fade into the distance. She waved once before turning around and started towards the front of the boat, however, the sound of ruffling and a war cry had her side stepping.

The Steel Saint, Subaru, had followed her onto the boat. Koga sighed, "You're still here?"

"Of course I am," Subaru glared at her, "Pegasus Koga, I will defeat you!"

Subaru clenched a fist but before he could actually start the fight, the boat rocked, knocking him off balance and over the railing. Koga grabbed his wrist, saving him from falling into the water.

"Wh-Why did you save me?"

Koga stared at him with a deadpan expression, "Did you want to fall into the sea?"

"Of course not!" Subaru replied immediately. Koga tugged him up and Subaru leapt over her head and landed several feet away, "Where are we going?"

Koga smiled, a radiant look dancing onto her face, "The headquarters of the Saints... The Sanctuary. But first, there's something I need to do."

Reunited With Soma!

The boat had reached the main shore within the hour and the two stepped off. Subaru glanced around before following after Koga once he realised she'd started walking again.

"Where are we going? I thought Sanctuary was the other way?" Subaru questioned.

"I mentioned I had something to do before we set off," Koga paused in her walking, glancing down at the blue haired boy, "My current clothing isn't suited for long journeys, I need something else," she tugged on her loose jumper's sleeve that now had a rip in. Subaru now realised what she meant. She had a white jumper and a red skirt with a pair of shorts on underneath, long white socks and loose brown ankle boots.

"So, you're just gonna buy new clothes?"

Koga nodded her head to confirm, "I have a friend who owns a shop, she'll help me out," Koga had started walking again before they finally came to a hairdressers, Subaru looking up at it in confusion.

"Stay out here, I won't be long," with that Koga entered the salon, leaving Pegasus on the ground by Subaru feet, "Watch Pegasus please," She didn't wait for his reply before re-entering.

Subaru sighed and kicked up the dirt on the ground. Half an hour went by and he was beginning to get annoyed, he decided he would go in now. They would leave, whether Koga was done or not! Subaru went to step towards the door way but someone walking out stopped him, he blinked and glanced up at Koga who had finally emerged from inside.

He paused at the new look, she had chopped off her hair that had laid just over her breasts. It was now really short, stopping mid neck. She had gotten rid of all her old clothes, now donning a red no sleeved turtle neck and grey-black jeans and black converses. Her left arm still had the bandage wrapped around it and over her right shoulder was a black leather jacket.

"Whoa..." he subconsciously let out in awe, she had dropped the cute and young look, for more of a badass looking one. But there was still the familiar kindness ever-present in her eyes. Koga glanced at the shocked Subaru from the corner of her eyes, she raised a brow in silence asking what he meant by that.

"U-Uh.. nothing," Subaru stuttered, crossing his arms and looked away with a slightly pout visible and a light blush forming.

"Okay," Koga shrugged off his weird behaviour and called out a goodbye over her shoulder and pulled the jacket on before Pegasus onto her shoulders, walking off.

The two entered the Coliseum and they both stopped half way, Subaru taking in the sight in awe, "Is this a coliseum?"

"Yes," Koga answered, "The gate for those who are destined to fight."

A group of saints-in-training appeared and circled the pair suddenly, "What?" Subaru called out.

"I am...-" Koga was cut off by a familiar voice.

"The Bronze Saint," Shaina leapt down and faced the two, "Pegasus Koga."

Koga smiled and stepped forwards, "Shaina-san!"

"It's been a while, Koga," the Silver Saint greeted, "I guess both you and your Cloth have grown a bit. I like the look in your eyes."

"Really?" Koga blinked in a confused manner before shrugging her shoulders and glancing back at Pegasus at it rattle quietly, "It's a pain in the butt to carry now."

"But it's more powerful than before, yes? That is the Cloth's true form. It's been a long time..." Shaina placed a hand on her hip, you could hear the smile in her voice from behind the mask.

Koga hummed slightly before asking: "But what are you doing here?"

"Athena asked us to increase security here. So, I'm watching the gate," Shaina answered. Koga nodded in understanding.

Shaina turned her head towards Koga's companion, "Who's this?"

"My name is Subaru," said boy pointed his thumb at himself, "The man who will become a god. Remember that."

Koga rolled her eyes as Shaina answered, "A god, huh?" she turned her attention back to the red head, "Koga, Athena's waiting. Hurry up and go."

"Understood," Koga grinned in excitement of being able to see her mother. The large gate behind Shaina opened and Koga started towards it. Subaru went to follow however, Shaina grabbed the back of his shirt, stopping him, "Hold up," she through him back, "Beyond this gate are the holy grounds where Athena dwells, the Sanctuary. No one but Saints may enter," she spoke in a somewhat soft-spoken manner but you could hear the sternness in it still.

Subaru frowned, "I'm a Steel Saint. I have a Cloth!"

"The Steel Saints have mechanical Cloths, right? Those aren't real Cloths," Shaina spoke in a smug tone.

"Just let me through!"

Koga was aware that Subaru was fighting Shaina so that he could pass but she ignored it in favour of making her way up the stairs towards her mother. It didn't take Koga long to locate the woman, she pushed open the doors to the room and entered.

"Ma!" she greeted, but she quickly paused, seeing the look her mother held.

"Koga, you seem well," Athena replied.

"Ma? What's wrong? You don't look well... are you okay?" she took a few steps forwards.

Athena glanced down as she answered, "I'm fine. For now."

"For now?" Koga's tone held a panicked one, her worry clear on her face, "What do you mean?"

"A new enemy has appeared."

"You mean the Pallasite?" Koga asked.

Athena finally looked up to her daughter, taking in her new appearance with a sad smile as she responded, "Yes. The Goddess Pallas. My younger sister."

Koga blinked owlishly twice, "Younger sister?"

"Pallas despises me. She's after me, personally," Just as she spoke those words, the purple wrist band began to glow and Athena grasped it in pain.

"Mama!" Koga rushed forwards, stopping at the stairs.

"Using this spiral ring, Pallas steals my power. At this rate, I won't last more than a year," Athena stood and held her wrist.

Koga blinked, her brows creased, "Y-Year?"

"Pallas will target you Saints, too. Koga, I'd like you to disperse this information to Saints across the world. And renew our bonds, in preparation for this coming battle..-Agh!"

"Mama!" Koga helped her mother as she sat down again, Koga knelt in front of her.

"Koga, did you not hear your mother's orders?" Seiya appeared from behind Athena's chair-like-throne.

"Dad?" Koga pushed herself up to her feet.

Seiya stepped down and placed a hand on her shoulder, "We Gold Saints will guard Athena. And the Silver Saints are searching for Pallas. The Bronzes are to contact as many Saints as possible, and prepare for battle."

Athena looked up at her daughter, "Koga... please."

Koga gave a closed eye sigh before crossing her arms, in a way to lighten the mood she comically pointed at Seiya, "You'd better do you job and protect Ma or I'll come kick your ass!"

Seiya gave a slight smile as he answered, "You don't need to tell me."

Koga, now satisfied, turned and started walking towards the door, pausing briefly, "I'll be back soon," and carried on, closing the door behind her. Leave behind two rather proud parents.

The red head made her way down and back towards Shaina and Subaru. Koga saw Shaina leap back and she rushed past, "Bye, Shaina-san."

"Koga!"

Subaru stood, turning towards the jogging Koga, "Where are you going?"

Koga, not stopping, glanced back and smirked, "To see my friends."

"Wait!" Subaru yelled and ran after her.

Koga leant against a tree as she watched Soma pass her, heading towards a small grassy slope where he lay down, eyes closed. Koga's fingers tightened around the tiny stones she held, rolling one of them about her finger tips, she chucked the stone at Soma.

"Ow!" Soma opened his eyes and looked up in surprise when he heard her speak.

"You're wide open," he sat up in surprise. His eyes widened with a wide grin stretching across his face.

"Koga!"

"Yo!" The Pegasus Saint greeted with a grin.

"And... who are you?" Soma blinked, looking at Subaru.

Koga chuckled lightly, but before Subaru could reply to Soma's question she spoke up again, "Care to join us for some lunch?"

Soma stood and grinned again, "You betcha!"

"So, what do you think of the new Palaestra?" Soma questioned, "Hard to believe the Marsians ever wrecked the place, isn't it?"

Koga hummed with a smile, glancing over her shoulder as she placed down her cup of tea, "What's the security like?"

"Security?" Soma blinked, a frown worming its way onto his brows, "The gate's pretty thick and Athena put up a barrier. So no one from the outside can get in."

"Soma-" Koga began but Soma cut her off.

"-And these are the new students who recently started."

Koga twisted to glance down at them as they all chatted, "Are they all saints?"

"No, they're Saint candidates. The Palaestra is where Saints train," Geki appeared from the stair way, the three teenagers turning to him as he spoke, "During the fight with Mars and Yami, we lost many Saints. So now, we're primarily training new Saints."

Soma nodded, "And as we don't have enough teachers, I'm filling in."

A group of colourful armoured wearing people outside in the courtyard caught Koga's eyes from behind Soma, she questions: "Who are they?"

"They're Steel Saints," Soma supplied.

"Athena owns a company called the Graude Foundation, which develops the Steel Cloths. Like Saints, they fight with those cloths. They're basically mechanical Saints. Their clothes are different, but like us, they want to protect Athena," Geki explained further.

Once his explanation was over, Koga turned to Subaru; a look of annoyance on her face. "You should've said so."

Subaru scoffed, crossing his arms, "I'm not like that."

Geki rose a brow, "Are you a Steel Saint, too? What's your name?"

"Subaru," the boy answered quickly.

"You're Subaru," Geki replied with faint surprise, "The Commander of the Steel Saints told me about you. I was told you have talent and a future."

That had Koga raising a brow.

"I'm the guy who will defeat Koga, and become a god," Subaru replied rudely.

Koga sighed, a look of frustration entering her eyes, why wouldn't he just shut up about that already? She had no idea why she was still putting up with him. Oh wait, yes, she did.

Geki glared down at him in warning, "Steel Saints are not allowed to duel other Saints, either. Saints exist to protect Athena."

Subaru turned to face Geki slightly, "Protect? I don't want to protect anything. I want to get stronger and defeat Pegasus – Ow!" Geki grabbed Subaru by the head and lifted him up and Koga chuckled.

"You should join the Palaetra now. I'll beat these ridicules ideas out of you!"

"L-Let me go-!" Subaru fought against Geki, trying to get the man to release him. As the two were distracted, Soma turned to Koga.

"Your... uh… new friend is weird," Soma looked amused but pressed his lips together at Koga's expression. She wasn't amused – she just looked annoyed.

She shook her head, muttering, "He's not," under her breath. Soma grimaced, clearly seeing Koga wasn't too keen on him, "He just follows me everywhere, he won't stop until he's fought me – which isn't going to happen."

Soma cleared his throat and changed the subject, "Anyway, I've been wondering what's the big box?"

"My new Cloth," Koga responded, glancing back at the silver box. Glad for the change of the conversation.

"Huh?!" Soma gaped at the response. Glancing at the gem on his bracelet then to the silver box, "Cloth?" he looked almost envious in a confused and admirable manner.

"Soma, what happened to your Cloth?" Koga's face turned serious in worry seeing the look.

"Huh? I haven't worn it lately… the fight's over," Soma replied, confused at the question.

"Our battle with Yami ended… yeah. But the next fight has already begun," Koga got to her feet, "Let's go talk somewhere quieter."

Soma nodded grimly, getting up to follow the Pegasus Saint. Both paused when Subaru called after them, "Where are you going?"

Soma turned and glared at him in annoyance, "You're not a dog and Koga's not your owner. You don't need to follow her everywhere she goes."

Subaru flushed in embarrassment, stuttering out before crossing his arms and walking back to the table. Koga chuckled and the pair continued, rounding a corner.

"So, he'd only following you around because he's trying to get you to fight him?" Soma asked, the duo pausing at an archway, letting the fresh air flutter past them.

Koga sighed, "Yeah – I'm not too keen on fighting in general either but at least he's gonna learn some things."

Soma gazed at the Pegasus Saint sadly, placing a hand on her shoulder, "It takes time, you know," Koga turned her eyes to him as he spoke, "The whole Mars and Yami thing wasn't anything small, no one's expecting you to just bounce right back."

Koga inhaled, "I know, leaving Sanctuary when I did helped a lot – I needed to remove myself from everything for a while."

"You certainly look better," Soma commented lightly, he brushed his fingers through her hair "You cut your hair again too, I see why you had it this length before. Your outfits looking good too."

"Everyone changes, I wanted to experiment with different clothes, I've always kinda limited myself," Koga replied with a small smile.

Soma watched Koga for a moment as she looked out on the Steel Saints. He tilted his head, she seemed calm and had an almost air of maturely around her. He pursed his lips together. There was something in her eyes, an almost foreknowing look to them – it wasn't about who ever this new emery was. No, it was something else. It seemed to be burdening her too.

Soma parted his lips to speak but a loud explosion from the front gates is heard. The buildings rumble as a small aftermath. Immediately Koga and Soma lock eyes. This can't be good.

They both run back into the lunch hall to meet with Geki and Subaru. Grabbing her cloth, they all run outside to be met with the sight of the front gate in pieces. Through the smoke a figure appeared, "I am a Class-3 Pallasite…," the dust finally settles, "The Spear-Bearer, Brionac Loge. Future Saints, I have come to kill you."

Soma was first to speak, "Impossible. Athena's barrier protected that gate."

Loga smiled with a smug look, "Athena?" he lifted his spear, "My spear, Brionac, pierce Athena," he released a bolt that hit the newly build statue of the Goddess. Breaking the head from its neck.

"Right now, Pallas-sama is taking Athena's life, minute-by-minute. As she is weakened, breaking her barrier is simple."

"Let's go, Pegasus," Koga called upon her Cloth. The newly familiar armour sat snuggly against her body perfectly. Soma gaped at the sight of the beautiful new Cloth.

"Go, Pallasite bees!"

And the battle began. The bees' stings, they found out, paralyzed the victim. The Saints in training were the first to go down. Soma and Subaru called upon their Cloths and with the help of Geki, Steel Cloth Saints, and a few trainees. They attacked the bees'.

But then Loge managed to stop time for the people with low Cosmo. Only those with strong Cosmo could avoid the attack. Then the bees' attacked again, taking the already half numbers down to only a few.

Soma declares that he was going to take on Loge by himself, while Koga and Subaru take care of the bees. They all do as they planned, so as Soma distracts Loge with his attacks. Koga and Subaru take the chance to strike down the annoying insects. Once the bees' were taken care of, Koga just manages to stop Loge's spear from hitting Soma right in the chest.

"Koga," Soma nearly cried with relief.

"Didn't the Pallasite bees kill you?" Questioned Loge, annoyed.

"Too bad..," Subaru smirks, "We took care of them… mostly… mostly me," and he collapses, obviously having been hit with a sting.

Loge becomes enraged by this and goes in for an attack. Koga anticipating this, counters with her own, "Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken!"

The attacks clash but Koga over powers Loge, her cosmos blasting through and hitting Loge. Then he flees, returning the people that he had turned to stone to normal. Koga purses her lips at that. Making a mental note of it.

"Why did your Cloth power up?" Soma finally asks.

"I don't know," Koga answers honesty, shrugging her shoulders.

"Bloodstained, bloodstained. Little Pegasus is bloodstained!" A giggle followed.

Koga ignored, turning to Geki as he spoke, "Because you are Pegasus. Normally, the Cloth Repairer restores a Cloth. But the Pegasus Cloth has defeated gods, bathing in their blood since the age of myth. I think it has power beyond human understanding."

"I'm quitting my job teaching at the Palastra. I can't stay this way!" Soma tilted his head down, frowning, "I need to train more as a Saint."

"You were always doing this as a favour," Geki responses proudly, "Soma, fulfil your duty as a Saint."

Soma turns to Koga, "Let's go to Jamir! I'll have Kiki repair my Cloth, and I'll repay you for what you did today."

Koga smiled, "Right."

It was good to be the presents of Soma again, she could hardly wait to see the others.
