All right as promised, this chapter will be longer than the last one. I hope you enjoy! I really like were this chapter is going! Now, several people from different universes will be introduced for this chapter, there will be a few OCs but not many.

Haku gave a small grunt as she got up off the ground. Looking around she noticed she was alone. There was nothing but foliage on all sides. She stopped and listened, her ears picking up the sound of breaking twigs and branches. She was unprepared for a giant snake to come charging at her, ramming her head on. Haku gave a surprised gasp as she was launched several yards away, her back slamming into a nearby tree.
She got up and formed several ice kunai in each hand, glaring at the giant reptile that had attacked her. The snake gave a low hiss, before launching itself at the ice user. Haku jumped into the air at the last second, the giant reptile tore through the tree like a blade through water. The undead girl landed on the serpent's back, stabbing her ice blades into it. The creature hissed in pain, it writhed violently in a vain attempt to get the death knight off.
Haku brought one hand up, and began to make one handed seals, while simultaneously ripping a larger wound into the snake. She shoved her hand into the wound, "Ice style: Tundra fist!" The snake's movement slowed as a slight frost appeared all over its body. The giant reptile stopped moving completely once it was frozen solid. The young woman ripped her hand from the corpse, leaving cracks as she did so.
Haku turned her gaze to the sky when she heard a large explosion, only to see a large mushroom cloud rise into the sky. A strange feeling entered her mind, as if she had lost something. Without a sound she shot off towards the explosion.
Fu looked down at the mangled body of her friend, her love, with teary eyes. "I should've stayed, I could've helped him!" She thought bitterly, blaming herself for what happened. She gently closed Naruto's eye lid, before turning her head. He had lost most of his face in the explosion. A few moments later and she felt a presence behind her. The green haired girl closed her eyes, she didn't care if it was an enemy nin. A hand landed on her shoulder. Fu opened her eyes to see Haku without her mask, standing beside her. The ice user's face was devoid of emotion. "We need to go back to Senso." Fu looked at the other girl for a moment before nodding. Haku kneeled and gathered what was left of her master, being as gentle as a mother with a child. Her eyes filled with emotion, this boy, no; man brought her and Zabuza back to life. In a way, he was her father.
As they made their way back to the fences no creature attacked them, for both girls were leaking strong killer intent. As they neared the gates of the forest, the death knight was first to notice that they were closed. Without stopping Haku kicked down the gate, and flared her chakra to signal Doc. A moment later a women appeared in front of them.
Fu recognized her as the proctor for the second part of the exam. Anko smirked at them. "You do know that this counts as a disqualification, right?" The two girls passed the snake mistress without a word. Doc landed in front of them, with a small sound, as if he was about to ask a question. He stopped when he saw Naruto's remains. He walked slowly towards them, until he was in front of Haku. He raised his hand towards his master, before retracting it. "Is…is he?" Haku gave a short nod.
Doc became silent, before abruptly turning and walking away. Haku and Fu followed silently.
Later that night: unknown location
"Is it done?"
Orochimaru looked to the shadowed figure with a smirk. "Of course, our plans are coming into fruition."
"Soon, I will have the leaf and you will have Sensogakure, and the Elemental Nations will tremble before our military might."
With Naruto
Naruto looked around; at least he thought he was looking around. Everything was black, he felt as if he was floating. He glared into the darkness. "Who's there? Show yourself!" A dark chuckle echoed around him. "Easy there boy!" a voice said with mild amusement. The darkness around Naruto dissolved and formed a dark cave. Naruto gave himself a once over, he was wearing loose black pants, and black leather boots, strapped to his side was a black sword. The young lord looked around, searching for the owner of the voice. A dark shadow formed in front of him, before rising and looming over the white haired boy.
(Imagine Aku's body build from samurai jack, and Venom's head, only blank.)
The creature's head tilted, before two dark purple eyes opened up and peered down at Naruto. "Hmmm, you are quite young to be down here. I wonder what happened." The shadow said in mock curiosity. The young ruler glared up at the entity. "Just what are you?" the sound of breaking glass could be heard as a crack spread over the creatures face, forming a crooked smile. It leaned back and gave a loud cackle, its new maw opening up in a frightening display.
Naruto raised an eyebrow, but otherwise kept quiet. The creature gave a few more chuckles before sending an amused glare to the young lord. "I go by many names. Death, Grim, Sithis, Thanatos are but a few. But you can call me Shinigami." Naruto seemed unfazed but gave a small bow. "A pleasure, Shinigami-dono" The creature gave a low chuckle. "Even knowing who I am, you treat me as an equal?" Naruto gave a small smirk. "Are we not?"
The god of death gave a low hum. "Hmmm, not yet, but in time you might….MIGHT….reach my level." Naruto shrugged before looking up at the reaper. "Why am I here?" Another small giggle left the creature's maw. "Straight to the point, huh? Well you're dead…as a doorknob. I went through the trouble of fishing your soul from the river Styx because I like your plans. So for my own amusement, I'm going to give you a second chance."
The white haired lord gave a loud sigh. "There's a catch isn't there?" Death gave a crooked grin. "Well let's just say the higher ups would frown upon this, right now I'm breaking some rules. It'll be our little secret, Kami doesn't have to know. In order to give you a second chance you need to retrieve something for me. To get this item you need to surpass seven spirits, well sins to be exact, it won't be easy, here your powers are significantly diminished. But I think with the right motivation you can get it done." As he finished an image of Fu appeared in front of Naruto.
Naruto glared up at the death god. "Just show me where to go." Sithis raised an arm and pointed a single claw towards a large iron door. "I just want you to know I'm rooting for you. OH and one more thing, if you die, your soul will be destroyed, permanently." The white haired lord gave a dismissive grunt as he pushed open the large doors.
Naruto peered around the room; it looked like an empty dojo. There was a large boulder in the middle of the room; sitting atop of it was a thin man. He wore a red hoodie, blue jeans, sneakers, and atop his head was a black beanie. His hair was blood red and spikey, on his cheeks were six whisker marks. He seemed to be sleeping. He looked like an older version of Naruto. The white haired lord raised an eyebrow before clearing his throat loudly. Two blood red eyes opened lazily, and peered at the young lord.
"Geez kit, you are just hell bent on ruining my beauty sleep, even in hell!" Naruto looked the man over more closely, before a small smirk pulled at his lips. "Kurama, I was wondering what happened to you. Why are you here?" The kitsune gave a shrug before hopping off the rock he was on. "I dunno, apparently I'm your spirit guide or whatever. So let's get this over with." Naruto chuckled at the fox man's care free attitude.
The duo looked around the room, after a moment they noticed a silver door. Naruto looked over to Kurama with a questioning glance, said demon shrugged uncertainly. The white haired boy released a loud sigh, before they made their way to the door. Naruto opened it slowly, observing the new room with a critical eye. After another moment of peeking the duo stepped into the room.
It was kind of dark, a few computer screens lit up the room. There was a fairly large computer on the other side of the room; sitting in front of it was a man. He was lanky; he wore blue jeans, and a white shirt. His hair was black, long and spikey, and strange enough he was bare-foot. Naruto drew his black blade and pointed it towards the strange man. "Are you one of the sins?" If the man had heard him, he didn't show it, so Naruto repeated himself, this time louder. The man looked at Naruto from the corner of his eyes.
"Yes, I am Sloth or more simply L. What do you want void walker?" the man stated in a bored tone. Kurama sent the sin an apprehensive stare. "You are a sin? You've got to be kidding me." L gave an over exaggerated sigh, "I suppose you are here to fight me." Naruto stayed silent, waiting for the inevitable attack by the demon. L rolled his eyes, before redirecting his stare to the computer screen, throwing a couple random candies into his mouth.
"I don't want to fight you, now please go away." Kurama scowled in annoyance. "Look, I don't want to be here, so if you aren't going to fight fine, let us kill you and be done with it!" The Kyuubi took a mighty swipe, only for the sin to raise a hand and slap away the attack. "Damn it, too much effort, get out of here before you piss me off." As he said this a new door appeared behind them, this one looked to be made of rotted flesh, and a putrid smell leaked into the room.
As they opened the new door, the room they were in faded into nothingness. As they entered the new room, their noses were assaulted by the smell of rot. The room appeared to be made of putrid meat; large holes covered the walls and ceilings, even the floors. The duo looked around cautiously, every now and then a shadow would move from within one of the holes. Their eyes narrowed when a gargled voice echoed around them.
"Heheheheh, what tasty little morsels. Why have you come to my humble abode?" When the voice finished a figure slowly rose from one of the holes in front of the duo, the only thing that could be seen was its shoulders and up, its head appeared to be a skull, and its skin was veiny and almost see through. Naruto raised his blade once more in a threating manner. "I suppose you are Gluttony?"
The creature cackled, "Please call me Morbus, at least that's what my food calls me." Kurama rolled his eyes, "Let's just get this over with small fry." The creature tilted its head, before it rose up from the hole to reveal its horrendous body, torso up it was normal sized, below the waist was the giant body of a maggot. The creature laughed when his meal's eyes widened in surprise.
"I'm going to enjoy feasting upon the flesh of a void walker!" The giant maggot glided into another hole, leaving the duo on guard. Out of nowhere a claw flew from one of the holes, slamming Kurama into the fleshy wall. Gluttony followed closely, slamming its large spear like appendages into the ground, trying to nail the white haired warrior. Naruto weaved between several legs, slicing some when an opening showed itself. Kurama pulled himself from the rotted wall, and charged at Morbus.
As this was happening the large maggot was laughing, enjoying the excitement of battle. Naruto jumped onto Gluttony's back, stabbing his blade into its flesh. The beast writhed, and cackled, as white gooey blood spilled from its new wound. Kurama slashed at the creatures sides, forming several more wounds. Naruto lost his grip, and flew off of the beast, slamming into Kurama. The kitsune groaned. "Watch it snow flake!"
Morbus lowered himself back into a hole, coming face to face with his enemies. "Heheheheh, you know, you are quite fun to play with, I like you guys, so I'm going to let you go. As long as you leave the nine-tails." Kurama looked at Gluttony, then to Naruto. "If he eats me, I blame you." Naruto snickered, "Relax, I'm not going to leave you here." Morbus loomed over the duo, his black beady eyes digging into their souls. Drool dripped from his rotted, sharp teeth.
"I will let you leave on one condition." Naruto looked at the creature, suspicion in his eyes. "What is this…condition?" The creature grinned, hunger in its eyes. "Feed me your enemies." The white haired lord smirked. "Is that all? Fine" Gluttony chuckled, as he slowly receded back into his hole. A new door formed, this one was made of bones and black metal.
Kurama rushed to the door, eager to get away from the putrid smell. He swung open the door and stepped in, only to fall off a cliff into the darkness below. Naruto sighed, before jumping down after the kitsune.
"Ow! Get off of me you prick!" Naruto stepped off of the Kyuubi's back. The room was pitch black, every time he took a step a loud crunching noise could be heard. Several torches suddenly lit up the room with blue fire. Kurama slowly got up, dusting off his clothes. The duo quickly realized that the floor was covered in bones; some still had bits of flesh clinging to them. Kurama was the first to pick up the sound of stifled sobs. The kitsune nudged Naruto, who had picked up the sound as well.
After a minute of walking, the crying grew louder, and they noticed a child with his back to them, he was crouched over. It sounded as if he was eating something. The duo walked up to the child, when they were ten feet away the boy spoke. "I…I envy you." More sobs left his mouth, when they quieted down he continued. "My life is a nightmare…if you are here void walker, then you are here to kill me." Naruto sheathed his blade, "I will not slay a child, and you look no older than ten."
The boy chuckled bitterly before he turned around; revealing a human hand between his teeth, black tears fell down his pale cheeks. The boy had long black hair, and he wore a black robe. The hand fell out of his mouth as the boy smiled bitterly. "I am Grendel, the flesh eater and I am no child, now kill me, so I can escape this hell." Naruto looked away; to see such dead eyes from a child….it was wrong.
Kurama placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder, "You don't have to kill him, and you didn't kill the last two." Naruto shook his head, "I need to put him out of his misery." Envy looked up at the duo. "Do it! Please!" The white haired king gave a short nod as he drew his sword. He raised it above his head and brought it down towards the child's neck. The boy had a content look on his face, which twisted into horror as the blade bounced off his skin. "It's too late, quick you need to run…run…RUN!" The boy's voice distorted into a grounding sound, his body began to shake, bones could be heard breaking and reforming, and his skin became as black as the night sky.
He began to grow, his clothes tearing in the process. He reached nine feet tall before stopping. The creature before them had scythe like claws, it had no lips showing black colored needle like teeth. Its eyes were a sickly green and soulless, the child was no more. What remained was Grendel the flesh eater. Envy reared his head back and let loose an unholy roar. Naruto turned to Kurama, only to realize the fox had run away, leaving a trail of broken bones in his wake.
"Oh you son of a" his sentence was cut off as a large black fist connected with his ribcage, sending him flying across the dark cavern. He landed painfully on a pile of dusty bones, losing his sword in the process. Naruto got up and glared at the carnivorous nightmare. Mana began to form around his hands, before it turned into lighting. Naruto threw his hands forward releasing two bursts of electricity. The bolts of magic slammed into the creature, making it hiss in pain.
"Hmm, so that's your weakness, magic." Grendel growled menacingly, before giving a short yell of anger as two arms wrapped around his neck in a headlock. The Kyuubi grinned savagely as his grip tightened. "Surprise attack BITCH!" Envy shook wildly, trying to throw off the demon that had latched itself onto his back. Naruto quickly capitalized on the distraction. Steam wafted from his nostrils, and lifted from around his hands. Throwing his hands and head forward, streams of fire flew into the demonic monster. Luckily Kyuubi had jumped off of Envy just in time to dodge the magical flames.
Grendel crossed his arms to take the brunt of the attack. The monster hissed as his skin boiled. Kurama grinned victoriously, before it turned into a scowl as the flesh eater slashed its claws across the kitsunes chest. Naruto frowned as he charged Grendel, he cocked his fist back, and pumped as much mana and chakra into it as he could. His fist began to glow with black and purple energy. Envy turned to face the white haired lord, and growled as Naruto approached.
Naruto roared as he buried his fist into Grendel's stomach. Black blood splattered onto Naruto's face, as the monster hacked. Envy quickly grabbed the young lord's arm with both hands pulling the warrior forward. The ghoul sank its teeth into Naruto's shoulder, hitting an artery. The red liquid spewed into the creature's mouth making it tighten its grip.
Kurama groaned as he sat up. He quickly turned his gaze to the current fight, seeing his host having trouble with the sin. The fox man quickly scanned his surroundings and noticed a normal looking wooden door not too far away. The Kyuubi quickly stood and charged Grendel's back, pumping acidic chakra into his nails, before dragging them down the creatures back. Envy roared in anger, throwing Naruto away in a splash of blood.
Kurama quickly picked up his host, fireman style, before rushing towards the wooden doorway. The kitsune shouldered in the door, and dropped Naruto unceremoniously onto the floor, before turning and slamming the door shut. The nine tailed demon sighed loudly before he collapsed with a huff. Naruto grunted as he turned his head towards the ceiling.
"So, I see you escaped Grendel. You wouldn't have escaped me though. So pathetic"
A girl no older than ten walked into his line of sight, she wore a pink sundress with a sunflower on the chest. Her hair was a bright blonde, and styled to look like two horns, her lips were pulled into what seemed to be a permanent frown. Her nose was small, almost unnoticeable. She raised an eyebrow at the two male's current physical states.
"I see grim is still having more fun than I am."
Try and guess who this new girl is….I kind of made it obvious though. If you guys have any complaints please let me know, also I would like to thank all of you….without you guys I wouldn't continue writing. So give yourselves a pat on the back! Don't worry I have plans for Smaug and the Balrog, so don't fret. I love all of you guys! Too much?
