Naruto waited on a dirt path miles from Konohagakure, his rage still boiling inside him. He thought back to his years in Konoha, and his anger grew. Every soft smile or love filled hug from his Jiji was a lie, for the man, he apparently didn't know, had been dead before he was even born. "I bet Danzo organized those mobs from my childhood." Then regret filled his mind, "I should have demanded the final resting place of the Sandaime."

The armored king's dark thoughts left his mind as his friends approached. Team Senso walked along the path, chatting with each other happily. Zabuza and Doc were arguing on who got the most kills, Haku followed a few steps behind them, her mask clipped to her belt, showing her small smile as she threw in her own opinion into the men's conversation. Leading the group was Fu, who was holding two small hands in each of hers. To her left was the sin Envy, his eyes still leaked tears of sorrow but a small almost unnoticeable smile was seen on his face. On the green haired girls right was Pride, the blonde sin still held her usual scowl, but if you looked closely you could see she was staying close to Fu's side.

The seven tailed jinchuuriki smiled at the sight of Naruto. Said lord began walking towards them, taking off his terrifying helmet in the process, showing his comrades his face for the first time since his resurrection. Naruto swept Fu up in a love filled hug, kissing her passionately in the process, before whispering in her ear, "Are you wearing my old clothes?" Fu nodded, before burying her face in Naruto's neck, causing Mandy to turn a tinge of green as she placed a hand over Grendel's eyes. The rest of the group smiled happily, before saluting their lord and master. The feeling of content fell over the group as they made their way back to Whirlpool.

Gnarl hobbled around the fortress with a huge grin splitting his face, giving orders to lingering Uruks or Scourge to make the tower presentable for the dark lord's return. The old minion master stopped when he sensed a presence behind him, without turning around he asked the presence a question. "Are you not happy for our master's return?" the Witch King of Angmar tilted his helmeted head. "I'm overjoyed." Gnarl cackled, "Yeah, I can tell from the look on your face." Before snorting as he looked into the endless dark that made up the Nazgul's face. "Oh wait…"

Naruto breathed in the scent of the sea as he stood on the beach of Sensogakure, before looking towards the tree line as a war party of Uruks approached, led by a war chief that was handpicked by Naruto himself, Azgrom the headhunter. The orcs kneeled before their armored king, before Azgrom spoke up. "The lord of the three armies has returned!" The orc stood and turned, raising his axe. "Our master is back, CHEER YOU MAGGOTS!" The orcs began cheering, half out of fear, and half out of happiness.

The night was filled with celebration, the main hall was filled with orcs and minions drinking grog, and feasting on wild boar. They sang songs such as Down Down to Goblin Town, and Three Little Birds and toasts where made in the white haired overlord's honor. Naruto sat on a throne, several others at his side, including Fu. Gnarl approached Naruto's side before giving a bow, "It's good to have you back milord, but we have many things to do, I suggest getting some rest."

The dark lord nodded before downing the rest of his red wine. He stood and took Fu's hand, causing a blush to dust her cheeks. Naruto sent a glare to the minion master, "I am not to be disturbed. Is that clear?" Gnarl smiled lecherously, "Crystal, milord."

Fu awoke with a small content smile on her face. She sat up, covering her nude form with the black bed sheet, to see Naruto getting dressed in his old outfit. "I regret that I have duties to tend to, love." The green haired woman smiled softly, "Go do what you need to do." Before laying back down and falling asleep once more. As the white haired man fastened his cloak around his shoulders he gently caressed Fu's cheek before leaving his quarters. Naruto came into the council room, seeing all of his general's, friends, and mentors, who bowed respectively. As Naruto sat at the head of the table, he nodded his head, giving the go ahead to his councilmembers. Gnarl cleared his throat, "We are finally militarily stable, but our resources grow thin, I recommend sending out delegates too friendly villages to establish trade alliances."

Several of the more violent council members frowned; they wanted to start the war, soon. Naruto nodded approvingly. The rest of the meeting finished rather quickly. As the council members left the chamber Gnarl hobbled towards Naruto, a toothy grin on his aged face. The white haired lord raised an eyebrow, "What has you in such a good mood, old friend?" A gleam of excitement entered the minion master's eyes. "Well milord, we have a new friend that I would like you to meet."

Naruto tilted his head in confusion, "Oh, and who would this be?" Gnarl turned and chuckled, "Well, he is a little tied up, follow me." The old advisor led his master to the lower chambers, then into the mines. The extensive heat had little affect the dark lord. Naruto observed his miners with curiosity, they all seemed nervous. After a few minutes of walking the duo entered a large chamber, and Naruto's eyes widened slightly. On the far side of the room was a large creature bathed in flames. It was chained to the wall with enchanted chains.

Gnarl raised his hand with an over dramatized gesture, "May I introduce, THE BALROG! We found him behind a stone wall." The creature blew smoke from its nostrils, growling lowly. The chains creaked and groaned as the demon pushed against them. As Gnarl approached it the Balrog's growls grew louder. The minion master stopped abruptly before gesturing to his master to step forward. Naruto stepped past Gnarl, stepping closer and closer to the flaming beast. With each step the beast's growls lowered, they stopped completely when Naruto was right in front of it.

Gnarl applauded from afar. The whiskered lord, turned slightly. "Leave us." The advisor grinned before hobbling out of the chamber. Naruto looked up into the burning eyes of the Balrog, "You want to be free don't you?" A small grunt was all he received. The dark lord nodded, before inspecting the chains. He was rather surprised to find they were of elvish make. Naruto focused black magic into the chains, and his eyes flashed red. With the loud sound of metal hitting stone, the chains fell.

The great demon kneeled, its muzzle mere inches away from Naruto's face. The white haired man placed a hand on the beast's snout. The demon's eyes closed in content. Naruto's eyes softened, "Those chains kept you from getting any sleep, go, I'll grant you five years of rest." The Balrog's eyes stayed closed as it lumbered to the side of the chamber, before lying down and falling into a deep slumber. Naruto sat down in the lotus position, before entering his mindscape to check up on Kurama.

Naruto opened his eyes to the familiar sight of Kurama's cage. Beyond the cell slept the great demon lord, the rest of his tails already back in place. Sensing his presence, Kyuubi slid an eye open to regard his host tiredly. The dark lord smiled at his oldest friend, "I'm glad you are awake." Kurama smiled weakly, "It's going to take a lot more than a young upstart to extinguish me, Kit" Naruto chuckled, before placing a hand on the cage, "I want to thank you, If you hadn't saved me, Wrath would've destroyed my soul." The kitsune's eyes softened, "That's what friends are for." The great fox cleared his throat, "Now leave me be, you are interrupting my rest." The dark lord smirked before he faded away from his mind.

"Do you want to run that by me again?" Jiraiya flinched at Tsunade's sharp tone. "Well, we have five years to prepare for a war that the Sensokage promised to wage, the Sandaime has been dead for seventeen years and Danzo has been in control of Konoha, he was recently killed and so was Orochimaru, but now we are leaderless, and weakened from the invasion, and we need your help Tsunade-hime." The slug princess took a large gulp of sake, before glaring at the ground.

"So, sensei bit the dust, even before I left, before that night?" The toad sannin nodded his head solemnly, before the duo fell silent, mourning their deceased professor. Tsunade sighed as she got up from her seat, and began making her way toward the exit. Jiraiya looked at her in confusion, "Where are you going hime?" The slug sannin turned, showing the old pervert that her eyes where filled with a resolve that he hadn't seen in a long time. "I'm going to become a kage."

X(Time Skip, One Year)X

Naruto observed the destroyed training ground, before nodding in approval. The whiskered overlord turned his attention to the final training dummy, before his eyes became engulfed in fire. Suddenly the wooden target burst into flames. Naruto watched the blaze with mild interest, before turning his gaze to the tree line, seeing a green minion running towards him. Sasu wordlessly handed his master a scroll, Naruto opened and read it, he smiled at the news before him. The seventh corpse had been retrieved. What the Akatsuki wanted with the demons wasn't his business, the Jinchuuriki's bodies is what interested him. If the cloaked ex-nin became a problem, the dark lord would deal with them swiftly.

"Why don't we move in now? There are just two left! It will be easy." Pain regarded one of his more volatile members with emotionless eyes. "Because Hidan, our reports say that they are together, and that the nine tailed jinchuuriki is exponentially powerful. We will move in when we are prepared. We will meet back here in four years." As the holographic forms of the Akatsuki faded away, a single red eye closed in thought. "My plan is coming along perfectly; I just need to wait a little bit longer."

Naruto walked through the lower levels of his citadel, until he came into a room with seven tables, lying upon the six tables were seven corpses. Naruto inspected each one for any crippling wounds; once he was satisfied he began the knighting process. After a few moments the cadavers began to stir, one by one the death knights sat up. Seven sets of blue eyes focused on Naruto. "Yo, you better tell me why I'm in this creepy place, or else I'm going to stab yo face!" Bee yelled, confusion and anger clear in his voice.

"Stop yelling, you're giving me a headache." Replied an irritated Gaara. Yugito growled at the cloaked man in the room. Han and Roshi watched Naruto cautiously. Yagara glared at everyone "You are all being childish." Yugito turned her attention on him. "Childish? Childish!? Have you looked in a mirror lately? I look older than you!"

Naruto chuckled, making all the knights refocus on him. "I suppose an explanation is needed. You are all dead, well you were until I came along. You are now soldiers of the scourge, and you serve me now." The former demon hosts glared at Naruto with looks of skepticism and resentment in their ice blue eyes. "What makes you think Bee would serve thee?" Naruto glanced at the large rapper, before smirking. "Simple really, you don't have a choice."

Each of the knight's eyes glowed, before they slumped over breathing heavily. Naruto released his hold on them, chuckling as he did so. "You can either follow me willingly or not, doesn't matter to me. Now I have other things to attend too, I will have one of my more experienced knights show you the ropes." The overlord walked out of the room, only for Zabuza to walk in with a small smirk behind his bandages.

Naruto walked into Fu's quarters to find a heartwarming site, the green haired girl sat on her bed reading a story to Pride and Envy. Envy was by her side, the black haired boy was snuggled into her side, a black cloth was tied around his eyes to keep his tears from falling. Pride was beside Fu's leg, idly checking her nails, but if you looked closely you could tell she was paying close attention. The whiskered man leaned against the threshold, smiling softly. As Fu finished up her story Mandy took Grendel's hand and led him out of the room, intent on causing trouble no doubt.

Fu got up and wrapped Naruto in a hug. "I thought you had duties to attend to Naruto-kun." The dark lord led the caramel skinned girl to the bed, before sitting down. "A year ago I promised to answer all of your questions, I've put it off for long enough." For several hours Fu paid rapt attention as Naruto told the tale of himself and the three souls within him. Tears were shed, and laughs were shared, but at the end of the day their relationship was stronger than before.

X(Time Skip, Four Years)X

Tsunade stood on the walls of the now reinforced Konoha. Over the years she had turned the peaceful village into an impregnable fortress. She had changed the academy drastically; the students were introduced to the darker side of life. Jiraiya appeared beside the slug princess, his face grim. "He will be making his move soon, how many?" The toad sannin grimaced, "Too many to count." Tsunade turned hard eyes on her old teammate, "Pull all of our ninjas back; the leaf is going on red alert. I want to be ready for when he makes his move."

Naruto stood on the balcony of his black spire, overlooking his army. Fu stood beside him, holding a hand over her slightly enlarged stomach. The overlord smiled brightly at his lover. "I promise to conquer the biggest castle, just for you." The green haired woman hugged him gently, "You know I don't care for such things, just…promise me you won't get hurt." Naruto kissed the seven tailed jinchuuriki with passion, "You know me, I will return without a scratch." His reassuring words did nothing to calm Fu's nerves. She had a feeling of foreboding and she didn't know why.

THE DRUMS OF WAR HAD SOUNDED!

All right we are done, this one is a little shorter, but the next chapter we begin to see Naruto's conquest begin. Why does Fu have a bad feeling? How many villages will join Naruto? How many will oppose him? What do the Akatsuki have planned? Find out next time!
