~Second Time To Lie Part 1~

My green eyes fluttered open, everything...silent. Though I can still hear the endless cries of the vampire civilization at their last. My eyes stayed-not moving, not blinking, stating at the sky which was now covered by a large grey cloud. Little specks flew onto my face, my body, everywhere. Was it snowing?-No.

Above me are enormous ash clouds, the little specks? Are ashes. I moved my head to the side and witnessed all the destruction of the once beloved Townsville. I slowly turned over to my side and attempted to sit up but fell weak as I realized I had a shard of glass cutting through my side. I pulled it out and took a moment to retaliate before forcing myself to my feet.

"Bubbles!"

I callled out my voice shaking, it was only then that I remembered I had seen Bubbles forcely fly off the top of the building and go through an endless obis of neighboring buildings, almost as if a tornado had picked her up. The impact below us was to strong, everything happened so fast. I remember Bubbles and then falling into what seemed like molted lava.

"BUBBLES WHERE ARE YOU!?"

My voice cracked. I jumped off the pile of derby from what was left of the old Jojo skyscraper and began my search for where my sister had fallen. The city seemed unrecognizable. Everything was distinguished, nothing but fallen buildings, cracked roads, alarimg cars and blinking street lights.

I turned to look around behind me, my eyes scanning the horror Ancient and his brothers brought upon the world, upon us.

My fist balled up-knuckles turning white. This was all their fault. All their...fault.

I closed my eyes...he was here.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as a cold wist of air blew through me, the aroma of pine leaves and death surrounded me. I opened my eyes and looked up. On top of the old clock tower stood the reasons everything has come to an end. Anicent glared down at me, his piercing green eyes narrowed, as if he was trying to see through me.

I frowned- he smirked at that moment.

"You look so beautiful when you're unhappy Buttercup."

I shifted uncomfortably and cleared my throat. I moved my gaze away from him and looked at Abercio who wasn't even paying attention, he was sitting on the edge covering his face with his right arm which was placed lazily on his knee, his face was down so I couldn't see his expession.

"What? does the leading prince have nothing to say!?" I shouted at my sister's counterpart. Abercio didn't move but I know he heard me. "You might act like you're this prideful confident leader, but we all know you're just a pathetic spoiled prince who only thinks of himself. My sister-Blossom thinks you're nothing."

I know I should be yelling my hate torward Ancient but without Abercio, Ancient nor Adelardo would have gone through with the prophecy. Abercio calls the shots.

Abercio chuckled and looked up to stare me down. His dark red eyes didn't move from me. He can't see.

He held his stare for a moment longer before looking back down and impassively said one thing.

"Have your fun Ancient- and don't disappoint."

I was confused yet stunned at the eldest's choice of words up until the point Ancient tossed his green robe aside carelessly. My eyes moved to where the robe landed and back to him.

I didn't know what to do, but I had a feeling of what was to come, but I didn't know for sure until Adealrdo spoke to me calmly,

"Run."

And I ran.

I growled as I smashed Berserk into the wall. I was still angry at her for trying to bail but I was more angry at myself for trapping us both in here. I should have just ran out and caught her while she ran out but either way she probably wouldn't have made it out on time and kidnapping her would've been useless with her trapped in her alone.

"Dammit Berserk! Why!?" Berserk grinned at me which only eneded up with me punching her.

"Why would you try to trap me? What was you plan?!"

My female counterpart stayed quiet and stared at me frozen. Oh- I was suffercating her. I quickly let her go. She fell to the floor gasping for air. "Now tell me." I demanded.

"Abercio *gasp* asked me *gasp* to do it for him *cough*"

I narrowed my eyes, I was so confused. What did she mean he asked her to?

I picked her up from the collar and had her stare straight into my eyes. "Tell me everything."

(Berserk's flashback her POV:)

I had gotten a text from Abercio saying to meet him out in the gardem. Believeing it was something to do with our engagement I agreed happily. That night when I showed up to where we agreed, I found him but he wasn't the way I remembered him. His hair seemed longer, darker, messier. His skin was marvel. He was dresssed in an atire that only royalty would be caught wearing.

"Brick?"

(A/N she didn't know yet)

When he turned around his face was nothing I've ever encountered. His eyes amd nose seemed humane but his mouth was replaced by a horrific jaw of a skull only his teeth were razor sharp and he had a disgusting fork tongue. I couldn't help but scream and fall back. I closed my eyes thinking I was dreaming but he simply chuckled. I opened my eyes and watched as his disfigured jaw disappeared and transformed back into his thin smooth lips and sculpted jaw line.

"Sorry...I should have remebered to hide that..."

His voice was steady and chilling, the words had slipped out of his lips so gracefully it came out sounding so well mannered and old fashion. As if he was raised knowing his way around words.

He offfered me his hand which I took. "Brick whats going on?" I asked eyeing his new appeal. He seemed irritable by the mention of that name but quickly hid it and placed a piece of my hair behind my ear. His cold fingers slid across my face. I couldn't tell what was happening but I knew it must be important.

"What's wrong?"

(End of flashback, back to blossom's POV)

I kicked her down as she finished telling me the story. My foot pressed down on her neck, "when you found out how come you didn't run away and what made you agree? What did he tell you!?"

Berserk smacked my foot, telling me to let her go. I groaned and removed my foot. She gasped and grabbed her throat. "He said if I helped him do this, that me and him would be together, and finally get married like he promised. He said you were in the way of us being together. I didn't know if I should help him at first but then he showed me... He let me into his memories and showed me the night you two spent together. Every kiss, every crease. That night when you thought Brick seduced you to get back that book, it wasn't Brick, Blossom. It was Abercio. He said he couldn't let his conscious's emotions get in between his plans so he opted Brick out momentarily."

I stumbled back, my head pounding of all the thoughts that were now bursting through my mind. That night in my bedroom. The night I believed was the last time I was intimate with Brick, was actually the first night I spent with Abercio.

Suddenly flashes of that night began popping into my inner thoughts. Abercio...it was his kisses that I felt on my bare body, it was his hands that ran through me.

It was his name that I whispered before passing out that night...

My eyes widened in realization. I had remembered him that night and didn't even know it.

I looked down at Berserk one last time before kicking her in the temple, knocking her unconscious.

I need to get out of here, now.

I crawled out from under a fallen bill board. My arm stung as I placed pressure on it. My blonde hair was messed up and mattered. My cloths had torns in them where they revealed a large amount of gashes. I struggled to stand but managed. I needed to find Buttercup. I couldn't let the princes find her alone.

I looked around where I landed and saw nothing but torn up streets and destroyed homes. Many bodies laid beside me on the floor, half burned to death others crushed by fallen pieces of buildings.

I looked up at the grey sky, the smell of burned bodies fill the air. I took a breath and began skimping thriugh the streets trying to find Buttercup

"Buttercup!" I yelled my head snapped torward the sound of large booms. They found her. I quickly flashed over there, being slower then usual due to my injuries. Once I got their I saw Buttercup being pressed against the concrete floor by Ancient. I reacted quickly and tossed Ancient off of her. I looked down at Buttercup and helped her up.

She smiled at me but then pushed me out of the way. I was taken off guard as Buttercup was suddenly tackled away from her spot. Ancient had tried to attack me.

I was about to go and help her but was cut off by a shock of pain that erupted from behind me. I slid across the floor and crashed into a pile of rubble. Looking above me I spotted Adelardo hovering above me in mid air. He seemed annoyed and frustrated. I quickly stood up, my breathing was shaken and so was my lower lip.

"Stay out of their fight, you should be focused on ours." He said appearing on the street floor. I backed up and lowered my chin, my eyes still on him. He eyed me, I stood there staring into his deep dark eyes. I was so caught into looking at them I didn't have time to notice him flash and reappear right in front of me. He grabbed me by the throat. Luckily his glove was on or who knows what would have happened. I gasped trying to breath, he brought me closer to him, our lips brushed against eachothers very lightly as he whispered,

"I gave you a second chance to correct our mistakes, it was me who gave you a better life, the life to live forever and this is how you thank me? By getting in the way?"

His voice sounded distressed but his eyes only told lies. "It was fate who brought us together, I was suppose to die that day, but you couldn't let that happen. You were to selfish of admitting you fell for a mortal so you did what you thought would end our bond. You gave me away to your better half, only to end up with me turning against you and having your child. So even in death a part of our 'mistakes' will live on."

Adel growled at me and tightened his grip on me. "And if I kill him?" He asked threatening, his voice changing into that hushed sinsiter one. I clawed at his hand getting some of my voice to come back. "You *pause* wouldn't kill him you need him, your father wants him and by the time he reaches the age when he's needed he'll know the truth and he'll avenge me and the fallen... There won't be a second time to lie Adelardo.
