Enter the Fade Part 3

Kenshin was looking around the Fade to find more of his allies and he knew that they were going to need to work together to get out of the fade. He took one of Sloth's generals and he knew that there are more that will get in his way. He knew that this was the only way for him to get the whereabouts of Sloth and he knew that more of his companions that are still trapped in the realm of dreams.

"Raven, do you know where sloth?" Kenshin asked.

"I do not know. Sloth has many hiding place and it is hard to pinpoint his exact location." said Raven.

They started to land on the next island and Kenshin was looking around because he didn't see any sign of his companions or any of the enemies. He started to looked around and raven was helping him with the search. They both were looking, but kenshin was walking up to the door and he started to teleported to a different location. He had gotten a bad feeling about being here and he knew that this was going to be hard to move around in the Fade.

"I see that this is another part of the Fade that the other demon had expected me to come here." Kenshin said to himself.

Raven was on his shoulder for a moment and he looked around to see that they weren't alone. Out of nowhere, there was a couple of demon that was feasting on a dead spirit. Kenshin ready his sword for a moment and he knew that this was going to be a trouble for the both of them because Raven was a spirit of vengeance. The demons turned their attention to Raven for a moment.

"I don't think so, if you want my friend then you have to go through me." Kenshin told them/

The demons started to attack Kenshin which he knew took them all out and he sheathed his sword. Raven knew that this was going to be hard for him because he was just a spirit because he never had a friend or someone consider him as a friend. Kenshin was doing his family style of sword fighting and he knew that this was just the fade but this is real to him. He knew that if he die here, than his body dies as well. He cut the demons in half, but he was knocked back into a nearby tree and he was looking at them for a moment. Then they started to walk towards Kenshin and he was started to wake up for a moment. He knew that this was going to be the death of him, but Raven flew in and saved him.

"What are you doing?" Kenshin asked.

"I have to help you to get out of the fade." Raven told him.

Once took his mark, Raven started to disappeared in the fade which Kenshin was now alone. He needed to find the others and get out of the fade. He was looking around and he spotted a faded door and he knew the wisdom spirit to walk pass through the door. He ended up in another room and he was a looking around and he saw nothing but empty rooms that look like a orphanages. He started walking around for a moment and he check in every room. He saw fire that as blocking his path for a moment. Then he spotted some mage and he hide behind the doorway which he just listen in on the entire conversation.

"I had enough of the fade. The demon had been searching for a lot of lost mages."

"Shhh... they might hear you."

"I don't care if they hear me or not."

Kenshin knew that this would give him an idea because one of the trapped soul had given him a demon form that look like one of the demons. The two mages started to turn around to see that one of the demons that had appeared out of nowhere. One of the mages was upset for a moment and he knew that one of the demons had overheard them talking about their master like that in they secret way. Kenshin was trying his hardest to come up with a deep voice. The mage was getting ready to attack his dark master.

"I have heard everything so what do you think that I am going to do with you two." Kenshin said.

"My master, we asked forgiveness. We only wanted to ask for freedom."

Kenshin was looking at the other mage for a moment and he let his guard down. Then suddenly, the other mage started attack him which Kenshin turn back to normal. The mages was shock to see that Kenshin had trick them. He knew his plan wouldn't work and he ready himself for a fight. The two mages started to use their spells on Kenshin and he knew some of the power of the spirits and he transformed into a walking fire undead soldier.

"I am going to kill you all!" Kenshin said, deep voice.

He started to charge at the mage and he started to cut them down to pieces. Once the mages were dead, he started to roar in victory.

=== Leon ===

Leon was trying his best to keep sloth from feasting on his friends but he notice that some of the monster was falling to the ground. He had a smile because he knew that his words had reach Raven. He knew that this is wasn't going to last much longer.

"I think that he is getting close to sloth." Leon thought.

=== the Fade ===

Kenshin was look at the door and he open but he back up for a moment because he saw fire and he was thinking to himself on how to get through the fire which the thought just hit him. He transformed back into the walking corpse and he walk through the fire. Then he heard laughter for a moment and he looked over to his right for a moment to see some fire demons. He drew his weapons for a fight. The demons of rages started to charge at him but their flames has no affect on him because he was in demon form.

"Thank the Maker that I have this form in my thoughts." Kenshin said, deep voice.

He started to attack the demons and he manage to kill all the monsters. He notice another door that would lead to another room. He look through the door and he saw serveal mages standing around and he open the door. The mages was looking at him and they started to attack him with everything that they got. Kenshin was trying to figure out a plan to kill them, but his plan will have to wait because the mages summon dream golems to help them.

"Man, I have got to get me one of those for my travels." Kenshin thought.

The golems charged at him, but they were stopped by another golem and it looked him before it push the rest back. Kenshin look at raven for a second to see that he wasn't the only one that was seeing it. Three golems was attacking the traitor, but kenshin was going to help the golem that saved him. The golem started to use the power to harden his swords. Kenshin knew that this was going to be the interesting for him. Then he started to make his move towards the golems which he started to cut the monsters arm off clean. He looked at the beast and he had smile on his face which the creature was afraid.

Then Kenshin started to move even faster because the beast was moving slow because he knew that death was going to come to the beast. He slice the golem down to pieces and he knew that this was going to better then cutting off demon's heads. The gelom transformed back to its normal states and he was a mage. He was looking at Kenshin which he knew that he had escape form his dream prison that sloth had put him it.

"I am free. Thank you, it is time for this dream come to an end. I give you my strength, it will be a little use against the demon that rule here but it maybe even more useful in other realms. Find a way to kill all the demon lords to open a way to sloth. Please free us all from this nightmare."

The spirit disappeared and Kenshin was looking at his hands because he could feel the power of a golem coursing through his vein. Raven landed on his shoulders and he was looking at the path that lay before them. They both saw that there was a locked door. Kenshin transformed into his golem form to break through the door. He walked through the pathway and he saw that there was another demon that was waiting for them. It was a ogre type of demon and he started to charge at kenshin, but he dodge its attack. He knew that this was going to be hard to take this demon down.

"I am going to feasted on your bones, mortal."

"I don't think so." Kenshin said.

He broke his sword apart to cut the beast fang off. The beast was screamed out in pain and he dropped Kenshin. Then Kenshin got back up and he was looking at the beast before him. He started to charge at the beast and he leap into the air and he laungs his blades into the beast's chest. The blood was spurt out of the beast and the beast fell backwards. Kenshin got up, but he was in pain because of the giant monster had broke a few of his bones. Raven had appeared on his shoulder and he use his feathers to heals Kenshin's broken bones.

"Thanks." Kenshin said.

"You and I have to work together in order to get out of here." Raven told him.

Kenshin nodded his head to Raven they both had came across of a door that stood before them. Kenshin is swallow his fear and he walk up to the door. He pushed open the door to see that there was another dream world and it was the Mage was looking around to see a lot of dead Mages even children mages, but he notice there was one mage that was standing in the middle of the was Wynn that he had met in the tower and she was crying over the dead mages.

=== Leon ===

Leon was trying to figure out to resist the temptation of Sloth and his demon brothers. He reach into his bag and pulled out some lyrum positions. He took a sip and he started to feel some of his mana returning to him and he was start shoot some spells through the barrier that he had put up. He took out of some of the demon, but more of them popped up out of nowhere. He knew that he was going to need his allies to help with this fight. He knew only one spell that could use in his favor. He place his hand on the green gem and he started chanting the exact spell. He sense a spirit around Wynn and he knew that something was not right. He place his hand on her head. He eyes turned from brown to yellow green.

"I summon the power of the great Gemstone. Spirit of protection, please I summon thee to thy side." Leon said.

Then a blue spirit appeared beside Leon and it was the embodiment of a woman. She place her hand on the Gemstone because she was fusing her power into the Gemstone. Which the barrier started to get stronger and Leon was infuse a little mana that he had left. Sloth was getting impatience because they his forces was not breaking through the barrier.

"Hurry up, Raven. I need your help." Leon said.

=== In the Fade ===

Kenshin was looking around to see that he was in the circle tower and Wynn was crying over some of the students that she knew. Kenshin walked up to him and he knew that this was going to be hard to convince her because she is under the influence of Sloth. Wynne turned her head to see Kenshin before her and he continue to walk forwards towards her.

"I can't believe it. I was too late to save the Tower." Wynne said.

Kenshin knew that this was a dream and he was going to need to wake her up. The demons was looking at him because he had intrude her dreams to save her. He placed his hand on her shoulder which Wynne was startled for a moment. She turned around to see him and she did not recognize him which Kenshin had a smile on his face.

"Who are you?" Wynne asked.

"My name is Kenshin Cousland. i was sent here to help out of the Fade." Kenshin lied.

"This place is where I belong. I am the only mage left in Thedas. I just need to put all these lost souls to rest." Wynne told him.

She did not hear the last part about the her being in the Fade. Kenshin knew that it was going to be difficult to bring her out of her nightmare. He looked at the dead Mage which he saw that they were demons that giving her a strong influence. He started to think for a moment because he knew that this was going to be hard for him to get through to her.

"Wynne, I am telling you for you own good. You need to leave this place to clear your thoughts." Kenshin told her.

Wynne was looking at him and she knew that he was being disrespectful to the dead mages before her. She had tears in her eyes which Kenshin knew that he need to get through before Sloth feast on her. Wynne gripped on her staff.

"You would disrespect the dead. Where were you when I need you the most?" Wynne said.

"Think carefully, I was not there when the circle fall, but Raven was but from my eyes the tower still stands." Kenshin said.

Kenshin knew that some of the stuff that he told her was lies which the influence of the demons was fading fast. Wynne started to believe Kenshin and she place her hand on her head. She looked at Kenshin for a moment and she sees a image of Raven appeared before her. She started to feel dizzy and the demons was getting upset to see that their influence was weakling.

"Maybe your right." Wynne said.

"How about we leave this place so you can collect your thoughts." Kenshin said.

"Yes, maybe a far apart from this place would clear my head." Wynne said.

Kenshin smile and he offered his hand to her which Wynne took it. The demons had enough of Kenshin's interference. They decide to take matter into their own hands show they need to keep Wynne in this nightmare.

"Don't leave us Wynne."

"What! No! Stay back!" Wynne told the Demon.

"Stay with us, Wynne. Come, your resting place in here with all of us."

"Don't listen to this demon, Wynne. They want to feast off of you." Kenshin told her.

Then the demon use its power to push Kenshin away from her and he landed hard on the hard ground of the fade. Raven knew that he had to help Kenshin with this fight which he started to glow to take the form of Kenshin with a Raven Mask. He walked up to Wynne because he was trying to stop her before she could make a incredible mistake.

"WYNNE!" Raven yelled out.

Wynne stopped for a moment to hear Raven's voice and she turned her head to see him. He offered his hand to her and Kenshin got back up and he did the same as well. Wynne was looking at the two of them and at the demon mage which she looked back at the two people that were trying to help. She needed to decide and she took the hands of the two people that was trying to help her. The demon was upset to see that they had more of a influence of freedom.

"NO!"

"Wynne, can you hear us." Raven said.

"Raven, I heard your voice. Where am I?" Wynne said.

"Short version, you are in the fade and those are demon serves of Sloth." Raven told her.

She looked at the demons that was disguise as circle mages and she was upset that she was fooled. Then she started to feel her staff from the real world. Kenshin and Raven unsheathed their swords and they both broke them apart. She was going to use her magic to them with the fight. The demons started shooting magic at them which Wynne use weapon element infuse spell and she started to give both Raven's and Kenshin's sword fire. They both started to charge at the demon mages and they started to cut them all down. They were using teamwork as Raven slice the heads of the mages clean off while Kenshin stabbed his sword into the chest and slice apart. Wynne was use her most powerful spell to take out the last remaining demon mages and they sheathed their weapon.

"Thank you, both of you." Wynne said.

Then she started to fade away and she was starting to lose sight at the both of them.

"What is happening? Where are you going?" Wynne asked.

With the last words, she was gone and leaving both Raven and Kenshin alone. Kenshin was looking at the sky to see that it was change because they had freed two of their comrades from sloth's prison. Raven was looking at the sky as well and he knew that they had one more person that they must to save from Sloth's prison. They both started to leave the prison and they made another travel to the next puzzle prison. Kenshin was looking at the room to see that this was a maze. He saw a down next to him in the room and he walk through the door but it made him walk back into the room. He was confuse for a moment because he was right back where was started.

"Hmph. I trying to go through the door and I came back here." Kenshin said.

"Maybe this must be illusion but there has to be a pattern through this." Raven said.

Kenshin started to think on where to go and he looked at the mouse for a moment and he remember what the mouse say to him. He started to transformed into a mouse and he use his stealth mode and he started to look around to see that the room was cleared. he was moving through the room like a mouse and he made it out of the room. He started to go through the different and this door brought to a different. He noticed that there are was some flames everywhere and he started to transformed into the flame demon to avoid the deadly burn. He was fazes through the flames and he noticed a invincible door before him.

"Things will get a little difficult if I pass through this door." Kenshin said.

"Well, it's like you humans say 'You'll never know unless you try,' so let's get going." Raven told him.

Kenshin transformed into the wise demon and the door appear before him. He walked through the door and he was ambush by a couple of golem after he appeared out of the door. He transformed into a golem to even the playing fields. He started to fight back against the golems and he give one of them an uppercut and he was able to kill the both of them with everything that he got in the golem form. He reverted back to normal and he was walking towards the door before him. The door open up for him and he saw a couple of demons that was waiting for him. He dispatch them with eases and he was noticed a last door. He was looking at the door and he open it which he saw a desire demon. Then she turned into a mouse to escape which he went after her.

Then he transformed into the mouse and he followed after her which he was ambush by three demon and the desire demon. He smirk because he knew that he did not come alone which Raven appeared before them. He knew that this was going to be a even fight. They both started to use teamwork like that did in Wynne's nightmare prison. The desire demon was looking at the both of them and she was shocked to see that they both were strong to overpowered her minions. She was going to have to face the both of them in the fight and she use her power to knocked them off their feet. They flipped back up to their feet and they both started to attack her and Kenshin was the one to cut off her head.

"Phew. One more person to set free and more demon to kill." Kenshin said.

The island started to glow and Kenshin shielded his eyes which the Island changed. Kenshin open his eyes to see that he was back at the Korcari Wilds when the three of them went on their journey. Then he heard yelling and follow by spell casting. He ran towards the sound and he saw Morrigan being chase by Flemeth her mother. Morrigan looked at him for a moment and she shot a spell at him which Kenshin was hit by it.

"Owwww! That hurt!" Kenshin said.

"Oh good. You're not a dream then." Morrigan said.

"Well, it's good to see you to, Morrigan." Kenshin said.

"Morrigan, sweetheart. I just want to hug you." Flemeth said, looked at Kenshin. "Oh, I see that we have guest."

"Don't believe this is the Fade." Morrigan said.

"Finally! Someone noticed that they're in the Fade." Kenshin thought.

He unsheathed his swords and Morrigan summon up her staff. The fake Flemeth was looking at the both of them and she knew that she was not dealing with the normal humans. She started to attack the both of them, but Morrigan threw up a barrier to protect the both of them. When the barrier went down, Kenshin broke his swords apart and he started to attack her. He only hit a barrier but he did not let up because he was buying time for Morrigan to come up with a perfect spell. Once the barrier break, Morrigan use a fire spell to burn Flemeth to death.

"Phew. that was close." Morrigan

Then she started to disappeared.

"Hey where are you going. Oh no, i refuse." Morrigan said.

That was last words that he heard from Morrigan. He was now alone with Raven and there was a door that appeared before them. The door started to open for them and they both started to look at each other. Then Kenshin started walking towards the light that the door was giving off. Once they past through, they were back at the beginning when they met the Neil. He was looking around for a moment and he felt a presence of a door that was around the room. Kenshin walked passed a invisible door which it gave off a strange sound. Kenshin turned around to see that the invisible door which he turned into a demon and the door started to appeared in front of him.

"That is where the last general of Sloth's generals. She is a power of the demons." Neil said.

Kenshin nodded his head and he walked through the door. Raven was on his right shoulder. They both started to look for the last demon that will break the seal of Sloth. Then he walked through the door and appeared in the room where looked at the Alienage that he went back to. He was looking around to find the demon that imprison him and the others and he looked up to see that the fade to see that Leon was finding for his life to keep him and the others froim being eaten by the demons. Then he was looked down at the demon that stood at the house that look like Terra Tabris house. He started to walked towards the demon.

"What is this? I rebel dreamer that wonder into my domain. I am impressed that you dispatch my generals. But you see, I think that it is time for you all to be getting back now" Sloth informed.

He was about to raise his arms to send Kenshin and Raven back to their dream prison, but something went wrong with his power and then Leliana, Wynne, and Morrigan appeared behind Kenshin. They all looked around to see that they were in Sloth lair.

"I don't think so, demon." Morrigan said.

"You tried to separate us, but you fail. Now, we found each other once more. We are stronger than you." Leliana said.

"Foul demon, you cannot stand against us." Wynne told him.

Sloth was looking around to see that they weren't going back to their dream prison. He knew that he need to convince to go back on their own free will. He looked at Kenshin and he knew that he could feel the pain that he lost for so long. He was going to use that against his advantages.

"Are you sure about this? I have made you happy here. I was trying to free you from this war." Sloth told them.

Kenshin was upset that sloth had plated with their pain and he was gripping the hilt of his sword there was some of those pain that he should have ever buried. Sloth was looking at Kenshin for a moment which he knew that Kenshin wasn't going back to his prison. Then he knew that he had no choice but to kill them all in order for him to keep them trapped in the fade forever. Leliana ready her bow and she was about to take the shot but she turned her attention to demons that spawn out of nowhere. Wynne and Morrigan was helping her defend the demon off. Raven fuse with Kenshin and he started to walk towards Sloth. Sloth was looking at him for a moment and he knew that that this was going to be a good battle. Leliana turned her attention at Raven to see that he was going to fight Sloth on his own. She was about to assist him but her path was blocked by more demons. Sloth transformed into a Ogre while Raven transformed into a golem to match Sloth's strength. The titan started to trade blow for blows and Leliana was looking at them and she was in awe at the sight of them. Raven manage to punch Sloth in the face which cause him to transformed into a demon form and he transformed into fire demon. He started to shoot fire at the golem which it was destroyed and Raven landed on his back and he was looking at the fire demon before him.

"Okay, I did not expect that to happen." Raven said.

"HAHAHAHA! I am more powerful than you." Sloth said.

He started to shoot a flame at Raven, but Raven shielded himself which the flame engulf him. Leliana was shocked to see that the Raven was killed in the flames, but the fire started to form an tornado. Then the flames started to disappeared and there stood a demon cover in fire which the demon smiled as he looked at Sloth. Then he started inhale all the fire around sloth even the fire within sloth. Once the fire was gone, sloth shift into the cold demon. But Raven knew that was his plan all long and he released all that fire on the cold demon which Sloth was reverted back to his original form. Then Raven was back to normal and he was going to have to fight sloth on equal grounds. Sloth started to attack him with everything that he got but Raven started to use his sword to cut off Sloth's left arm. Raven was moving like a wind and he knew that sloth was too slow to keep with him. He was cutting him to pieces and Sloth collapse which Raven sheath his sword and he looked at Sloth. Then the others started to glow and they floated in the air because they were returning to their bodies. Then Niall had appeared before Raven which he had a smile on his face.

"You defeated the demon. I never thought... I never expected you to free yourself, to free us both. When you return... take the Litany of Adralla from my... body. It will protect you from the worst of the blood magic." Niall said.

"Your body?" Raven asked.

"i cannot go with you. I have been here for far too long. For you, it will have been an afternoon's nap. Your body won't have wasted away in the real world while your spirit lay in the hands of demon." Niall explained.

"So, you think that you're going to die?" Raven asked.

"Every minute i was here, the sloth demon was feeding off of me, using my life to fuel the nightmares of this realm. There is so little of me left... I was never meant to save the Circle, or... survive its troubles. I am dying. If is as simple as that." Niall said.

"You're not dying. I have Wynne with me and I can get her to heal you." Raven said.

Niall smiled for a moment.

"Thank you, but it is too late for me. i do not fear what may come. They say we return to the Maker in death, and that isn't such a terrible thing. My only regret is that I could not save the Circle. But you... you can. Take the litany off my... my body when you return. It is important." Niall said.

Raven nodded his head, but he could feel a bit sad for Niall.

"But what about you?" Raven asked.

"I can rest easy knowing that you will save the Circle. I'm not... a hero. Perhaps trying to be one was foolish.

"I don't think so. Trying to save your home is a hero in my book." Raven said.

"Dark times, greater acts of heroism, eh? You may be right. Before I was taken to the Circle, my mother said I was meant for greatness, that I would be move than my ancestors could have ever dreamed. I hope I didn't disappointed her." Niall said.

"I think that she would be proud of you." Raven said.

"It is time for us both to be on our way. Remember to take Litany of Adralla. The Circle is all that matters now. Thank you and goodbye...Friend." Niall said,

Kenshin felt something that he had never felt before and he had a friend that had die for him. Now, he felt the same pain once again. He watched as Niall glow into a bright light and Kenshin started to float into the sky back to his body. He could feel Niall's spirit and it felt warm.
