Chapter 22-Flaming Truths
Uria plods along sadly, his see-through tail dragging the ground. Ever since Tronay vanished during the burial, no one has been able to find her. Uria sighs. The past few days have been hard on the ghostly dragon. Sure the other Guardians welcomed him back to the land of the living but without Tronay it just didn't feel the same.
Tronay if only you were here with me, Uria sighs as he continues to walk.
Uria! A telepathic voice cries out. Help me!
Uria snarls and jerks his head upright.
Who are you? Uria bellows.
I have little time left so please listen closely, the voice wavers.
Very well, Uria hums.
I was with the other dragon keepers and they believe that Tronay is in danger, the voice stutters.
What? Tronay is in danger? Uria roars.
Yes. They think that the Leviathan took her to his home and now she is at his mercy. I think that he might be forcing her into telling him everything that she knows, the voice explains.
Why would the Leviathan want her? Uria asks.
I believe that he wishes to use her as bait for another human and their dragon.
A typical Leviathan tactic, Uria snorts.
Uria you must save her before its too . . . the voice trails off.
No wait don't go! Uria screams.
Uria snarls sharply and paws the ground with one of his front clawed feet.
{Tronay -narrator}
Ziggurat holds me tightly with his scaly tail. The Leviathan chuckles slightly as I attempt to get away for the hundredth time.
Such a pathetic human, Ziggurat snarls as he nearly squeezes the life out of me.
Quiet Ziggurat our guests have come, the Leviathan barks at Ziggurat.
Ziggurat throws me to the floor then slithers away after the Leviathan. By this point I sure that I just about dead from the constant crushing of my ribs by Ziggurat's scaly tail. With all the energy I can muster, I call out to Uria through telepathy.
A voice again splits the air around the mighty red dragon.
Uria come as quick as you can!
The ruby dragon snarls and begins to back up.
Uria if you can hear me then know that the Leviathan and Ziggurat are keeping me held in a chamber in paradise until the dragon that the Leviathan had truly wanted gets here. Once it comes I'm not sure about what will happen to me but I want you to know that you will always be my Guardian Dragon . . . the voice trails off.
Tronay! She's alive and in Atlantis. I must go to her rescue at once! Uria snorts.
At that moment, Silver shows up.
Silver I know where Tronay is now! Uria cries.
Where? Silver asks.
In paradise, Uria answers.
{Tronay -narrator}
From behind me comes a snarl.
"Leave the girl alone."
I shall if you submit to me Amia, the Leviathan hisses.
I would think twice about your choices first Leviathan, a deep growl echoes.
"Uria why are you here?" Amia asks.
I came because of a debt with the Leviathan. In order to set Tronay free I pledge that my soul be taken in place of her's. From this point on I shall be your servant, Uria snarls.
I shall accept the offer Uria and I shall enjoy working with you, the Leviathan snickers.
Uria . . . ? I ask.
Tronay flee and don't worry about me okay. You have a new Guardian now young one, Uria hums softly.
All right, I whisper as I rise off the floor and onto my feet.
Later that day I meet up with Dartz.
"What happened Tronay?" Dartz asks.
"Uria took my place and made a vow with the Leviathan," I mutter.
"What kind of vow?" Dartz asks, beginning to get worried.
"Uria told the Leviathan that he would serve him in return for me to be set free," I whisper.
"I see. Come with me Tronay I have something to show you."
So we walk into the Guardian chamber to see Silver and Sarina standing next to each other. Dartz nods and Sarina passes something to me.
"Look at it," Sarina says.
I peel the layers of cloth off the top to reveal a light blue dragon egg.
"Is this the egg that was . . .?" I begin.
It was young Tronay. Tamli snatched the egg and gave it to Isis to give to Sarina to give to you, Silver explains.
"Okay," I say as I stare at the egg.
Suddenly the egg begins to rock. As with Narssia' egg earlier, the one that I hold in my hands quickly spilt to reveal a beautiful baby blue dragon! The young dragon looks up at me in wonder. I cuddle the newborn under my chin, it's sharp teeth pulling at my red cloak.
"Tronay this dragon was meant to be your's," Sarina says.
"It was?" I ask.
Yes young one, Silver says.
The new dragon looks up at me, its yellow eyes staring at me in wonder.
You are? The dragon asks.
My name is Tronay, Tronay Nekita, I reply.
