As they arrived at the farm Connor signalled for half his boys to go left and half to go right around the farm. He on the other hand had the balls he earned to walk right up the front lane.
"I know your alive boy!, I also know you have my mate who you kidnapped against her will,"
"I saved her! John said she was held against her will being forced like you forced Lucinda," as Daniel yelled out from where he was hidden Connor growled loudly in anger.
"She wasn't being held against her will you foolish dumb weak pup she is my mate she is pregnant with my pup, who by the way if are injured I will make sure you all die a horrible death," Connor threatened as he grew closer to the house.
Lifting his nose he didnt bother to search out the kid first he sniffed trying to find his mate's scent.
Locating it he followed the trail to the barn which sat with a eerie feeling surrounding it.
"Come on out boy get your well earned punishment for kidnapping the Beta,"
"Glady," Daniel replied revealing himself standing upon the top of the barn.
Connor snarled at him as he heard the boys show up behind him. Knowing that the kid was outnumbered he was determined to get his mate back.
"Listen to me all of you," Daniel spoke addressing the men standing behind Connor, "If you think you can kill me, well you cant. Turn back and survive, stay and I will kill you all."
The boys growled at the threat knowing they would give up their lives for their Alpha and Beta, but knowing that for now they needed to rescue their Beta and their future Alphas before any action occured.
Turning Connor spoke to his right hand man, " Bring him to me," but before they could move suddenly a explosion occured behind them. Then a second, and lastly a third explosion causing one of their boys to be impaled by a stake.
As the last three boys and Connor looked around at the carnage the fury began to intensify.
"Bring me his fucking head," Connor growled out.
"Connor!," came the quiet but loud enough yell of his mate within the barn where they held her captive.
"Arabella! I'm coming baby," he hollered back so she wouldn't be so afraid even if briefly."
Turning connor looked up at the top of the barn where he noticed the punk kid and leapt up through the left and right in the top of the barn loft he vaulted over the railing to the barn base below. Continuing to look around Connor was joined by the last four of their boys.
Suddenly the barn door slammed shut and was bolted shut locking the five of them inside. Then all of a sudden there was two explosions causing the barn to blow up, Connor unware that Daniel had taken off out of the barn with Arabella.
As they fled the barn explosion Daniel fell a few feet away. Arabella howled in pain as she whipped her head around to look at the barn that had held her mate, the man she loved to death, and the father of her cubs.
"No!,"
"Why are you so upset I saved you?,"
"You dumbass you didn't save me you just killed my fucking mate, the father of the cubs growing within me. You killed the only man who loved me and ill make sure you pay," Arabella growled as she transformed into her wolf form.
Suddenly the side of the barn burst open and out jumped Connor. Arabella was so happy she ran forth jumping into his arms. Connor held her close kissing Arabella deeply so happy to have his mate back in his arms.
"Your really in love?,"
"Yeah we are idiot," Arabella said as she burrowed her face in the side of Connor's neck.
"Go sit sideline I have to finish this,"
"Please be careful,"
"I promise," Connor said as Arabella made her away from the fighting to keep their cubs safe.
"This is my town you little bastard,"
"No you chose the hills, you keep the hills," Daniel countered back over the right of territory as he ran forward to attack Connor.
"You did this to me, you made me the monster I am," Daniel screamed at Connor as Arabella cheered Connor on in the fight.
Connor had the upperhand even though Daniel gave it every effort he could he just couldn't get Connor off his feet.
"Not monster enough apparently."
Daniel got the upperhand briefly before Connor got it back and Arabella was so happy to see the Alpha in the lead of the fight.
"Guess you really did have some fight in you kid," Connor gave him props as he stood tall.
"Come on," Connor said as they began the next round of the fight before Daniel cut the back of Connor's ankles bringing him to his knees.
As Connor pulled himself up to lean against the fence Arabella ran over to check on her mate.
"I'm fine love," he said trying to ease her worried nerves.
"No!," Daniel yelled out to his uncle stopping him from shooting Connor as he turned to face him.
"You've done hideous things in your life, and you deserve to die,"
"You're right, but you should know i never took Lucinda by force. I was fooled by her magic to believe I loved her, and she acted like she loved me. But when her father found out she was pregnant he tried to kill her so I took the fall for it. They took her away from me, and I justy became the monster they said I always was,"
"You're not a monster you have always treated me right,"Arabella defended as she wrapped her arms around Connor's waist.
"So she made you believe in something that wasn't real?,"
"Yes, when the magic faded I realized they did it to keep me from my true mate, your aunt Arabella," Connor spoke as he hugged her close.
"Go on kid, end it," but as Daniel was told them he was unsure after hearing the version Connor spoke about.
Suddenly there was laughter coming from beisde the barn a few feet away.
"Well what do you know, time flies being here to witness this happy homecoming warms the cockels of my heart. Makes all my troubles worth while,"
"Joe 'fucking' Willis,"
"All these years later, hey its Connorly Slaughter beaten on his knees."
"I see that eye of yours never healed did it,"
"Nope just the one eyed chap with the gimpy limp, so i'd never forget what you did to me. You know what your old man told me when he exiled me from this town, he said that I was too wild, too brutal, swore i'd come back and kill you. He just laughed at the kid was the key, you never knew he existed,you never heard the stories, but my little brother Carter he told me, he told me all about it. Maybe I couldnt hurt you but chipper here he's going to break your fucking heart, "
"Joe why don't you just turn around and crawl right back out of town,"
"You think I went through all this trouble tracking your offspring down, bringing him here, killing his parents just to walk away, just to let you live,"
"You did what?,"
"What?, Oh yeah I killed your folks, and i kinda made the cops think it was you,"
"Why!?,"
"Why? to get you to grow up, to bring you here, to put him here in this excat situation,"
"You son of a bitch!," Daniel yelled out attacking Willis only to be slapped down.
"Ah forget it, your too beat up to fight me now the both of yous, I beat you with one hand tied behind my back. This is my day," Willis screamed out as he began transforming.
"Oh baby I've earned it,"
"Hey Joe, you know your buddy Carter,"
"He's my favourite,"
"I had him for dinner two days ago," as Connor told Willis that Arabella saw what he was about to do and shoved Connor out of the way taking the scratches across her back.
"No!," Connor screamed falling to his knees beside her as he began applying pressure to her wounds.
Daniel couldn't stand by and watch and attacked Willis from behind beginning another fight as a gunshot came from behind him.
"You were never too wild for this town Joe, just too crazy," just then Joe ran for the field as Daniel pounced on him.
"You going to kill me now too,"
"No your killing yourself,"
"What do you mean?,"
"Look down," Daniel said as Willis tossed down the match from lighting a cigar right onto a explosive spot blowing him into a million pieces.
As night became day Daniel woke up in his love's arms and felt healed. Suddenly he heard crying from the spare room. Dressing he made his way out of the room and knocked on the door.
It cracked open to reveal Connor.
"Still here?,"
"Yeah...come on in," Connor invited Daniel in like family.
"Hi Daniel," Arabella spoke as she sat on the bed with two bundles in her arms.
"Hey, look i'm sorry about everything,"
"It's ok..come meet your brother and sister," Daniel went wide eyed as she said that making his way over and looking down at the two tiny but cute bundles.
"They may be next in line to be Alpha but they could use a big brother to watch over them,"
"I'd be honoured," Daniel said as Connor slapped him on the back, finally a complete family, desite how disfunctional it was.
