Summary: this is a rewrite of Dino Thunder it starts just after the teens go home after finding the Gems.

Chapter 31
After a ten minutes of running scans on Jason to see if his new power was safe for him to use Jason finally said "So can I go and join the fight?"
"Yes you could but hold back for now let's wait and see what happens with Andrea and Trent now you can't morph in to the original Red Ranger" said Billy.
"Do you expect Andrea to do anything?"
"Maybe now Mesogog thinks you're vulnerable he may try to stop you interfering permanently with out letting Andrea know"
"Ok I'll sit back plus it will be a surprise when I do finally get back out their"

Meanwhile in Mesogog's fortress Andrea and Trent had seen what happened to Jason and were wondering what Mesogog would do next when they got called to go and join the attack.
"WHITE RANGER DINO POWER" called Trent.
"CRIMSON RANGER DINO POWER" called Andrea.
There they stood in their suits and transported down to the fight, they arrived and immediately attacked Conner and Ethan so Selena was on her own against the Tyrannodrones until Kim saw this and left Tommy to deal with Gerrok.
Conner and Ethan had their weapons in their hands but were still no match for Trent and Andrea, who easily knocked them back and instead of changing their focus and going after the other Rangers they walked towards the fallen Conner and Ethan and started to beat them down even more. Tommy seeing this created an Energy Orb and blasted Gerrok with it before running over to defend Conner and Ethan. He fought them back with his Bracio staff until they reached a stand still.
"Where's the Green Ranger and either of those Yellow menaces" asked Trent.
"None of your business" replied Tommy.
"Then why don't they come and fight, I mean you are no match for us Old Man" said Andrea.
Tommy now realised that Andrea and Trent had been pulled under Mesogog's control even more while they had been in his fortress and Now Jason wasn't the Original Red Ranger anymore it meant their plan was hanging by a thread he didn't know what had happened at the Command Cave and that Tray and Zordon had appeared and gave him the Gold Rangers Powers once again. Finally back up for Tommy arrived in the shape of Kim and Selena the three of them stood in front of the two Evil Rangers allowing Conner and Ethan to recover.
"Conner now would be the time for the Triassic shield we'll donate our power to it" said Tommy.
"Right Shield of Triumph Activate" called Conner as he absorbed power from Ethan, Selena, Tommy and Kim he transformed into his Triassic form and faced of with Trent and Andrea on his own as the others watched. Gerrok who had been blasted by Tommy's Energy Orb had finally got to his feet but seeing the four on one odds decided to retreat for now which was soon followed by Andrea and Trent as they realised Conner was to powerful for them.

In the Dragonzord Kira and Justin were looking at the swords they had picked up and were admiring the designs that were inscribed on to the blades.
"Hey Dragon what do you think we'll find once we get to this island?" asked Kira.
"No idea Ptera, if Tommy thought it was destroyed but yet he's sending us after these two Zords they must be very important" responded Justin.
"Yeah I just hope that the others can hold the fort with out us?"
"I'm sure that can Ptera I mean Tommy has so many Powers he could try to see if they work and don't forget there are three Turbo Rangers in town plus three Space Rangers if it gets to bad"
"Yeah but do the Space Rangers have their Morphers?"
"We know Ashley does but I don't know about TJ and Cassie it would make sense if they did otherwise why would they have given their Turbo Morphers to Cassidy and Devin"
"Good point, so how much further till we reach this island?"
"Well Tommy said he dropped them just of the coast so I would say soon lets head up to Dragonzord's Cockpit and find out" said Justin as they both headed for the cockpit to see where this island was.
"There it is" said Kira as she pointed at something.
"Are you sure because that looks a lot like Mesogog's Fortress" said Justin.
"I hope it's not but you might be right it would also kinda make sense if Mesogog was created on this island he would build a Fortress here"
"Let's just hope we can find the two Zords and get out of here before Mesogog finds out where here"

Back in Reefside at TJ and Cassie's house.
"So did you find out what the light was uncle TJ?" asked Cassidy.
"Not yet but I will be getting some info later it's being looked into" said TJ
"Ok while we're waiting for that Devin and I have to go and see if we can catch the Dino Rangers on tape for our news company"
"Ok Cassidy just remember don't get in their way"
"We won't" Cassidy said as there was a knock on the door and their stood Devin with his camera.

In the Command Cave the Rangers minus Kira and Justin had regrouped to work out what their next move would be.
"So what do we do next we are down three Rangers?" said Conner.
"Well i think we should do two things, firstly we should find out what the light was that left the bodies of the Turbo Rangers, and secondly we should get me out of this suit" said Tommy.
"Well we can give you a little bit of news about the light but it won't help and as for getting you out of your suit we need to find a way to test the formula we made" said Hayley.
"I have away to test it and it involves giving it to me and me tipping it on myself"
"Negative that would fail it's too thick the only way to apply it would be for some one to brush it on your suit" said Billy.
"Ok well in that case Jase would you and Kim mind applying it to me?" asked Tommy.
"Of course we'll help Bro" said Jason.
"While you are doing that what shall the rest of us do?" asked Conner.
"Well me and Billy have all the info we need to find out what the lights were but I do need some help in the Cyberspace with all my staff away weather their Evil or on a mission" said Hayley.
"Ok Hayley we'll give you a hand" said Ethan as the Rangers and Hayley headed off to the Cyberspace Billy went through the information for anything that didn't look right and to keep an eye out for any side effects from the formula as it was applied to Tommy.

An hour had passed and the formula had started to set as Billy told them it would and that it should break away and reveal Tommy with out his suit, but before it started cracking their was an alarm and their in the city center was Gerrok and some Tyrannodrones.
"Billy call the others" said Kim.
"No need I have a little payback for Gerrok he's mine" said Jason.
"What do you mean?" asked Kim in confusion before adding "Your Power Coin was destroyed"
"Yeah it was which is why I owe him some payback" said Jason as he assumed the right pose then said "GOLD RANGER POWER" and morphed into the Gold Ranger from the Zeo era, and teleported out.

Meanwhile in the Cyberspace the Rangers were making drinks and serving them until they were interrupted by the program on the television changed to a Breaking News story and their stood Cassidy with obviously using the camera reporting on Gerrok's attack, the Rangers were about to sneak out when they stopped as a new Ranger showed up.
"Who's that dude?" asked Conner.
"No idea but he's kicking Gerrok's ass" said Ethan.
Hayley came over to them to see what they were looking at and saw the New Ranger fighting Gerrok.
"Hayley do you know who that is?" asked Conner.
"No" Hayley lied not wanting to reveal Jason's secret until he was ready.
"But how?" asked Selena as she recognised the suit.
"Selena do you know who it is?" asked Conner.
"That's the Gold Ranger from the Zeo Rangers era he came from the Planet Trifornia"
"So you mean he's and alien?"
"No he's a Trifornian"

Meanwhile back with Justin and Kira the Dragonzord had found land and had let the two Rangers and Storm Blaster out and they were using the co-ordinates that Tommy had given them to find the two Zords they had been sent to find they had remembered they would need the Swords as well after ten minutes of driving around they arrived at a cave and Strom Blaster drove in carefully. The Cave went on for a long way until they emerged into a large Cavern that had what appeared to be a large lake inside it and their in front of the lake was two plinths that had a gap in the top.
"I guess we put the swords in there to awaken them" said Justin.
"I hope so I have no other idea for how to let them know we're here?" said Kira.
They both got out of Storm Blaster and took the two Swords with them and approached the plinths and looked for any clues as to which one went where, that's when they noticed a Goldish glow from one and a Darkish Blue/Green from the other.
"So now we know which one to put them in let's do it" said Kira
"Ok" said Justin.
Justin stood in front of his plinth and inserted the Sword into gap and pushed it down until it stopped, then Kira followed and when both were all the way in their was a shimmering noise and their in front of them floated two Sabers one that was Dark Green with a Blue blade and had three heads on it, the other one was all in gold and appeared to have a sharks head on it. As the two Rangers grabbed the Sabers a Holographic image of Tommy started up in what was obviously a pre-recorded message.
'Well come Rangers these are your Cenozoic Sabers they will help you call and control your new Zords. The first zord is the Hydrazord it is a three headed sea serpent/dragon the second new Zord is the Megalodon which is an ancestor of the Great White Shark it was the king of the oceans in it's day just as the Pterodactyl was the king of the sky's in it's day'
"Do you think he new we'd be the one to collect them?" asked Kira.
"No I don't think he did other wise he would of addressed us by name" responded Justin.
The pre recording started up again giving them some more information.
'Rangers raise the Cenozoic Sabers to the air and call the following I need (what ever your zord is) power now'
"Go on Ladies first" said Justin.
"Thanks" said Kira as she held the Saber to the air and called "I NEED MEGALODON POWER NOW" there was a roar and then the Megalodon surfaced and approached the side of the lake.
"Ok now it's my turn" said Justin as he raised the Saber to the air and called "I NEED HYDRAZORD POWER NOW" they waited a few minutes and three roars could be heard then it surfaced it looked exactly like the design on the Cenozoic Sabers the two Zords approached the plinths and they were absorbed into the Zords.
Then the projection spoke again.
'These two new Zords can combine to form the Cenozoic Megazord now they will combine to allow you to see what they look like'
The two Zords glowed and the three heads split down the neck and two of them vanished into the megazord and then reemerged as legs and feet out of the bottom of the Hydrazord's body, the megalodon's head left the Zord as it revealed a coupling device and combined to one side of the Hydrazord's Body the other head emerged out the other side but with out its head and had a hand their the Megalodon's head attached as the Megazords head with the fin on top and the missing Hydrazord head appeared attached to the Hydrazord's tail to become a Sword weapon.
"WOW" said both Justin and Kira together.
'One last thing Rangers the two Zord's will come from the sea to help in your battle and the Sabers will sit in holsters on your belts, now good luck Rangers and May The Power Protect You' then the Holographic image vanished. Justin and Kira's suits lit up then returned to normal only now Justin had the Dragon Dagger in one holster and the Cenozoic Saber in the other with no Blaster and Kira had two holsters now one for her Thundermax Blaster and the other for her Cenozoic Saber.
"Hey Justin How do we get all these back to Reefside since we came in Dragonzord?" asked Kira.
"No idea, Justin grabbed the Dragon Dagger and played the activation Tune and waited then with a similar sounding cry to the Hydrazord the Dragonzord emerged from the water in the lake.
"Well I guess the lake is connected to the ocean some how" said Kira.
"Yeah it must be" said Justin then he turned his attention to the Dragonzord "Hey Dragonzord meet the Hydrazord and the Megalodon" he said as the separated from their megazord into their two normal Zord forms, the Hydrazord and the Dragonzord seamed to talk to each other and then the Dragonzord turned back to Justin and made some noises at him which the Head on his Cenozoic Saber translated.
'Finally we have some back up I was starting to feel wiped out'
"That's ok Dragonzord I know we've been pushing you more than we should have a I promise that now you will be able to have a rest you stepped up when we really needed you and we all owe you our thanks" said Justin.
The Dragonzord cried something else and again it was translated by the Cenozoic Saber 'just don't forget about me I can still be helpful'
"Of course you are remember we have a megazord combination we need you for and I might be able to come up with another one, so don't worry you will never be forgotten"
The Zord cried something else, 'But Tommy forgot me and I was his first' the translation came out as.
"Don't worry about that Tommy never forgot you the reason he never called you was because your coin got sent back in time with Tommy's clone then was somehow reacquired by Zordon but the Dagger was in the possession of Mesogog until I took it from him then Zordon made me responsible for you my friend, now let's go home to Reefside and show Mesogog what we have"
"NOT SO FAST" said a rough voice, Justin and Kira turned to see Maligore standing their.
Justin and Kira pulled out the Cenozoic Sabers and made short work of Maligore until he enlarged himself which demolished the cave around them all. Justin and Kira got in their new Zords and decided to see how effective they were against Maligore.
"Hydrazord this show him what you can do" said Justin as the three heads opened and each blasted a different elemental attack at Maligore one head blasted fire at him, one blaster water at him and the other blasted him with the power of a F4 category Tornado.
"I got to get me some of this action" said Kira as the Megalodon leapt from the water and spun through the air and used its tail as a blade and sliced into Maligore who retreated before he was defeated.
"Come on everyone lets go home" said Justin Dragonzord opened a panel for Storm Blaster to enter and the three of them sunk into the water and made their way back to Reefside.
