Summary: this is a rewrite of Dino Thunder it starts just after the teens go home after finding the Gems.

Chapter 39
An hour later 18 Power Rangers and Hayley were in the Command Cave under Tommy's house, Adam had teleported to Reefside to be here for the explanation of everything from Kat and Rocky.
"So Rocky do you and Kat want to tell us how you became Elsa and Zeltrax?" asked Tommy.
"Uhm well I'm not really sure how it happened you see the last thing I remember is I had just activated my Zeoniser to fight off some Piranhatrons I was in the desert near the Command Center and saw it get destroyed. I had just started the morphing sequence when a piece of the wall of the Command Center hit me and crushed me I blacked out thinking I was dead until I awoke in the body of Zeltrax"
"How could Mesogog have reached you he didn't exist back then?" asked Tommy.
"I don't know but I was in Mesogog's fortress and he was beside me and explained that he had saved my life and that my friends and former Rangers hadn't even been looking for me, then he began his brainwashing and turned me against the Rangers he said you were responsible for what happened to me and then made me do terrible things to Justin as well saying it was revenge for Justin replacing me"
"Does Mesogog have a Time travel device in his fortress?"
"Not anymore it was destroyed to stop anyone using it against him" said Rocky as he fell to his knees and started to cry.
Adam and Tommy walked over to Rocky and both put a hand on his shoulder to show they were still there for him.
"Kat how did he get you?" asked Kimberly changing attention away from Rocky.
"I was on stage in New York preforming Swan Lake and the lighting rig fell from the ceiling and was going to behead some children who were on stage with us and I dived and grabbed the children when the lighting rig hit me"
"Oh my god Kat how didn't that kill you" asked Andrea.
"I don't know I was in a coma though for five months and when I came to Mesogog was standing in front of me with Rocky/Zeltrax" said Kat.
"Did Mesogog brainwash you then as well?" asked Tommy.
"Yeah he said that none of you cared that I had hurt myself and he and Zeltrax were the only people that cared about me, and I believed him. The next day I found myself in Mesogog's fortress"
"Kat he was lying to you as soon as myself and Tanya found out about your accident we flew to New York and we sat beside your bed every minute of the visiting times they would allow us" said Adam.
"Yeah and we gave them strict orders to ring us any time if your condition changed" added Tanya.
"Now I get why you said that Justin and I ruined your life Rocky but I have to ask one huge question" said Tommy tapping Rocky's shoulder.
"Go ahead I just hope I can answer it" replied Rocky.
"Is it true what you did to Doug Stewart?"
Everyone could see Rocky was fighting with himself about something, that deep down only he knew about.
"Rocky what's wrong?" asked Kat holding his hand.
"I guess now we are free of Mesogog I should be honest about what happened" said Rocky.
There was silence as everyone waited for Rocky to continue.
"It's partially true, as Zeltrax I was sent back to make sure Doug and Justin never made it to Reefside so he couldn't become the Green Dino Thunder Ranger, I arrived at the building that Doug worked at in LA and used an Invisiportal to enter the building undetected. I materialized in Doug's office and saw him working then an alarm was sounded telling everyone to get in the fallout shelter built into the basement. The UAE attacked and almost destroyed the building Doug was in the middle of the pack on their way to the shelter when a women behind fell and Doug went back to save her. Seeing him act so heroically hit me and somehow I broke through the evil of Zeltrax and I foolishly powered up my Zeoniser and helped Doug get people to the shelter until it happened Doug was just going back to help a pregnant lady down the last flight of stairs when a steel girder from the floor above fell and hit him, I helped the lady to the shelter and then told them to close the door. Once that was done I powered down and went to check on Doug he was barely breathing so I called an ambulance. Seeing how badly hurt Doug had got doing the right thing struck me and I felt angry that Justin hadn't been here to help his father and in that moment Zeltrax took over and locked me up deep inside so I couldn't escape, then he left through an Invisiportal" said Rocky. Who was now crying again and this time he was being comforted by Kat.
"My dad died a hero" said Justin quietly as Kira hugged him.
"Justin I'm sorry for what Zeltrax has said to you in the past, I think he believed that he had killed Doug when he wasn't in control" said Rocky.
"Rocky what are you and Kat going to do now?" asked Tommy.
"Well me and Kat are thinking of leaving town and getting a fresh start where Mesogog can't pull our strings and try to turn us evil again" said Rocky.
"Well keep in contact all right bro" said Adam.
"I will Adam I've missed talking to my friends for so long so you will probably have me ringing everyday" said Rocky.
"I guess you being Zeltrax was why I couldn't find you a few years ago when we had a red ranger team up to go to the moon and finish off the Machine Empire" said Tommy.
"Yeah and I'm sad I missed that" replied Rocky.
"Kat are you ok?" asked Kimberly.
"I'm not sure I'm still taking it all in" said Kat.
"Uhm if you two leave town what happens to the jobs you had?" asked Hayley.
"Well we both have a month of Time off we can take so we'll start with that and then see how we feel after that month" said Rocky.
"I guess Tommy are you able to return to Reefside high now?" asked Billy.
"Yeah I am, I guess my students were too much for you right?" laughed Tommy.
"Not at all Tommy it's just that I received a call yesterday letting me know I have an interview for a job as the new science teacher at Angel Grove High" said Billy.

Meanwhile on the planet Onyx Maligore was busy locating a woman and had just found out which planet he needed to be on so he at least knew he was going in the right direction.
"So why are you looking for her?" asked one of the bar tenders.
"I intend to return her to what she once was, the Turbo Rangers have returned and she defeated them in the past and with her assistance they will be defeated again" said Maligore.
"Excellent a day when the Rangers are defeated is just what the evil in the universe is looking forward to, who else are you going to find?" asked the Bar tender.
"I am also searching for the core of Ryan's Comet" replied Maligore.
"There was a rumor a Toydarian had the core a few years back he claimed to have found it floating in orbit of Jupiter" said the Bar tender.
"Any idea where I can find this Toydarian?" asked Maligore.
"He lives on the opposite side of the planet he has the largest spare parts shop this side of M32 galaxy" said the Bar tender.
"Then I shall pay him a visit and see if he still has it" said Maligore.

It took Maligore several hours before he found the Toydarian's shop and when he finally did he went inside to find the owner.
"Ah hello customer what can I do for you?" asked the Toydarian.
"I was told that you maybe in possession of something very valuable to me" replied Maligore.
"And what may that be?" asked the Toydarian.
"The core of Ryan's Comet" said Maligore.
"Yes I have it somewhere, but first how are you going to pay?" asked the Toydarian.
"I will not pay, you will give it to me and I will not set fire to your business" said Maligore as a small flame shot from his arm showing he wasn't bluffing.
"Let me search for the core" said the Toydarian as he flew off towards a hidden door where he kept non space parts that were valuable.

Back in Reefside the Rangers were still all together in Tommy's house.
"Who's going to take over running the school in your absence?" asked Cassidy.
"I don't know, who knows we may even come back to face our foes and help out where we can" said Rocky.
"It would be nice to properly get to know you guys" said Kat.
"Then stay for a few days to make your decision" said Kim.
"But where would we stay that Mesogog couldn't find us?" asked Rocky.
"You could stay here" said Tommy.
"Ok we'll stay until the end of the week then think about what we want to do" said Kat.
"That's good to know and remember Rocky, you and Kat are welcome in Angel Grove and we can catch up for a while and I'm sure Tanya would like to catch up with Kat as well" said Adam.
"Thanks Adam that means a lot to us both and honestly we will come to Angel Grove and see you guy's" said Rocky.
"I think it's time the rest of you guys go home after all it's a school day tomorrow" said Tommy.
The Dino Rangers and the Turbo Rangers got up and headed out the house until only Justin and Kira stood there and Justin turned to Kim and asked "Kim do you want a lift back?"
"No thanks you and Kira can have the house to yourselves tonight I'm staying here with Tommy, just don't do anything silly" said Kim.
"You don't need to keep telling us that after all we know we can't do anything until Mesogog is gone for good" said Justin.
"Yeah, please trust that we wouldn't do anything to put the earth in danger" said Kira.
"I think it's time we made a move as well" said Adam indicating to himself and Billy.
"Adam is Teleporting back to Angel Grove and I asked if he could take me with him so I can prepare for my Job interview" said Billy.
"Ok see you guy's later" said Rocky hugging Adam.
"Don't forget you and Kat are coming to mine and Tanya's" said Adam.
"I wouldn't miss it for anything" said Rocky.
"Me either" said Kat.
With that Adam and Billy teleported out of Tommy's house and back to Angel Grove.

The next day after school the Rangers had re-grouped at Tommy's house but just as they got their the Alarm went off.
"Sorry guy's but Mesogog is up to no good" said Tommy.
"What's he sent down?" asked Justin.
Tommy didn't say anything instead looked at Rocky and Kat, who were white and looked like they had seen a ghost.
"You have got to be kidding right?" asked Kira understanding what the look ment since Justin had told her so much about Ranger history whenever she wanted to know anything.
"Unfortunately not, the scanners say he has infused them with Dino DNA" said Tommy.
"Which Dino's?" asked Justin.
"Dilophosaurus for Elsa and Velociraptor for Zeltrax" said Tommy.
"Theirs Tyrannodrones as well" said Kim.
"Do you want us to come and help?" asked Rocky.
"As much as I would like to accept that offer Rocky we can't incase Mesogog tries to recapture you" said Tommy.
So who's going to deal with them?" asked Cassidy.
"Dino Thunder Rangers lets go" said Tommy.
"What about us?" asked Kylee.
"Stay here incase Mesogog sends a monster as well it seems odd that he only send Tyrannodrones, Elsa and Zeltrax down to attack he may try attacking a different location and if he does you guys go out to fight then until show up" said Tommy.
"Right lets morph first and then get over their" said Justin.
"Dino Thunder Power Up" called Conner.
"Tyranno" called Conner.
"Tricera" called Ethan.
"Ptera" called Kira.
"Braccio" called Tommy.
"Dragon Thunder Power up" called Selena.
"Green Ranger Dino Power" called Justin.
"White Ranger Dino Power" called Trent.
"Crimson Ranger Dino Power" called Andrea.
After Morphing Tommy jumped on his ATV, Trent jumped on his with Andrea holding on behind him, Justin and Kira were in Storm Blaster and Conner, Ethan and Selena were on their raptor riders.
"Remember everyone Elsa and Zeltrax are more dangerous now they have Dino DNA in them" said Tommy.
"Then let's make sure we go in there ready for anything" replied Justin.

The Rangers reached the fight and Justin and Kira went after Zeltrax with their Cenozoic Sabers drew, Trent and Andrea went after Elsa with both their weapons drew, the Tyrannodrones easily outnumbered Conner, Ethan, Selena and Tommy, but thankfully the Rangers were able to deal with the Tyrannodrones.
Justin and Kira were making light work of Zeltrax who even with his Velociraptor DNA advantage he couldn't keep up with the attacks of Justin and Kira who soon managed to hit a knock down blow to Zeltrax.
Trent and Andrea were doing the same to Elsa and with a combined slash from the Drago Sword and the Stega Scythe Elsa went flying back and landed next to Zeltrax.
"Run back to Mesogog you two are jokes if you think you are any challenge" said Justin.
"Yeah you have lost the aggression that you once fought with" said Trent.
Then with a flash of green the Tyrannodrones, Elsa and Zeltrax disappeared through and Invisiportal.

Back with Maligore the Toydarian had returned with the core of Ryan's Comet.
"Here it is the core of Ryan's Comet, if I may ask what do you want with it?" asked the Toydarian.
"I am going to use it to bring back a villain so evil he was once imprisoned in a Hyper Lock Chamber and buried deep underground, someone who was universally despised" said Maligore.
"Do you think you can bring him back?" asked the Toydarian.
"I wouldn't have searched this artifact out if I didn't believe it was possible" said Maligore.
"Is there any other items you require that I may have or may know someone who has them?" asked the Toydarian.
"Yes I require information on the location of the one known as Divatox
"That is easily known she is on the planet Gratha" said the Toydarian.
Maligore picked up the Core and turned around and headed back to his ship and headed for Gratha.

On Gratha the lady once known as Divatox was helping rebuild as school that she had had destroyed when she was Divatox and when she conquered the planet.
Suddenly the sky darkened and a large ship came into focus and continued to get closer as it was landing, the doors opened and out walked Maligore he looked round and saw Divatox's human form.
"Ah there you are, now I have everything I need" said Maligore as he approached Divatox.
"What do you want?" asked Divatox.
"I am here to return you to the evil being you once were" said Maligore.
"I will never go back to that I am happy with what I have, I am repaying my debt to the universe by helping rebuild buildings that I destroyed in taking over this planet" said Divatox.
"You have no choice you will come with me whether you like it or not" said Maligore who raised his arm at the building they were rebuilding and released a blast of fire setting the building a light.
"Now you will come with me or else more will burn down" said Maligore.
Divatox looked round at the works and saw the look of desperation in their eyes "Ok I'll come just don't destroy any more building" said Divatox.
The two of them got on the ship and took off back into space and headed back towards Earth.
