Chapter 3

I looked around. I couldn't find my own maid. Now that's weird.

"Keira!" I yelled out. I look down the hall and I had a feeling something familiar was there. I walk down the hall then burst into a small run. I turn the corner and bump into this one girl. She had all black hair, a black dress, and some black eyeshadow on.

"Hey! What the hell was that for?"

"I'm sorry. I was trying to find my maid because I think she ditched me."

"God bless it. Do you need help finding her?" She asked me.

"Ya that would be nice. My name's Trinity. What's yours?" I asked the girl.

"I'm Madaline. I'm a six." Madaline said.

"I'm a six as well. There is a three named Elisa who I met a little bit ago." I said then decided to go back to finding Keira. I look down the hall then give her a signal telling her "Let's go". "Keira!" I screamed out. I look behind me and Madaline is following me yelling out Keira's name.

We walk down a few more halls then I see Keira in a corner with a male. I know it's not Prince Braden but he has on a vest that looks like a royals. I remembered that Braden has a younger brother, Nathaniel.

"Keira. What are you doing?" I asked getting confused. She spun around looking shocked.

"I'm sorry miss." She said. She straightened her hair and dress and curtsied toward the prince and started to walk back to our room.

The prince stared at Keira and sat down in a corner. I looked back and started to follow Keira.

"Can I ask some questions please?"

"Once we're back in your room." Keira replied with a hint of worry in her tone.

We made it back to my room and she opened the door to let me in. As soon as I got into the room she slammed and locked the door behind her.

"Please be quiet and tell your friend to be quiet about what you saw. If the royal family finds out I can be caned! Nathaniel and I promised to keep it secret but you and your friend spotted us. Please don't tell a soul!" Keira said then sits down in a chair in the corner of the room and starts crying. I could tell she was scared for her and Nathaniels well-being.

"Of course I will. My friends names are Madaline and Elisa. You saw Madaline and I will go tell her to stay quiet and to explain why." I said trying to comfort Keira.

"T-thank you. That's the nicest thing someone has done for me." She sniffled. She wiped the tears away and straightened her dress and hair.

I nodded and I walked out of my room. I looked out my room and walked towards Madaline's. I knocked on her door and her maid opened it.

"May I help you miss?" She asked disrespectfully.

"Actually, is Madaline here. I need to speak to her about something." I said. I stand taller and wait for her response.

She gave me a look and then sighed. "You have three minutes. I need to finish getting her ready for tonight. Madaline. You have a visitor here for you. I guess she previously knew you."

Madaline rushed over to the door then saw me. "Alyssa, you can go now." She said to her maid. Alyssa curtisied and let us talk. "What's wrong? Is it about Keira and Nathaniel?" She asked searching the area.

"Yes. All I need of you is to please keep your mouth shut. Keira could be caned or even killed if they are caught again." I said.

Madaline nodded. "I understand. My brother was caned from trying to steal a royal treasure." She explained but showed no signs of grief or pain for her brother.

"I should head back to my room. Keira has to do my hair still." I said.

"Ok. See ya later. Also. Wanna stand by me at the thing where we all meet Braden? I don't know anyone but you so it might be good for the both of us."

"Sure thing. I'll try to find my friend, Elisa as well and I think you two will get along fine!" I said then started to walk back to my room. "Bye!"

"Bye!"
