Summary: this is a rewrite of Dino Thunder it starts just after the teens go home after finding the Gems.

Chapter 44
Mesogog was sitting in his laboratory trying to find a way to get Anton Mercer out of him for good, the last few days since he had Lost Elsa and Zeltrax for good Anton Mercer had been more in control of their body and had been conducting experiments on how to separate the two of them from each other.
"Now, now Anton" hissed Mesogog as he looked at Anton Mercers data and realised that Anton was not only trying to separate them but also weaken Mesogog in the proses.
Suddenly the whole building shook as Maligore appeared with a woman and a piece of rock.
"Is this some sort of joke?" hissed Mesogog.
"Not at all I have the elements required to defeat the Rangers I just need to re-energise one and turn the other one Evil again" said Maligore.
"Then let's get to work and do it and destroy those troublesome Rangers" said Mesogog.
Maligore noticed the equipment strewn about and the paperwork everywhere "You still haven't ride yourself of your one weakness have you" growled Maligore.
"Almost I have found and acquired what I need, I just need to perform the ritual" hissed Mesogog.
"Then go and do it if you still have your human weakness when he returns you will be replaced" said Maligore.
Mesogog didn't like the sound of being replaced by someone else when it was he who bought Maligore back.
In a spare lab Mesogog injected himself with a serum and then his body shuddered and flashed in two different colours and then with a flash Anton Mercer was separate from Mesogog.
"That is better I am now in control" hissed Mesogog as he grabbed Anton Mercer and dragged him to a prison cell and tossed him in before returning to the main lab where Maligore was working.

"So when are Trent and Andrea getting back in town?" asked Conner as the Rangers walked through Reefside Park.
"Jason said sometime this afternoon" replied Ethan.
"Yeah Hayley's waiting on them to bring some Pamango fruit from Angel Grove since Ernie gets them in all the time" said Selena.
"Fantastic they taste great in a smoothie" said Ethan.
"Does anyone know who's taking over running the school when Kat and Rocky head off to Angel Grove later today?" asked Devin.
"No idea maybe Justin knows let's ask him when we meet up with him and Kira" said Cassidy
"Where are we meeting them?" asked Kylee.
"Justin said he and Kira would meet us by the lake he said he had something he need to talk to Kira about privately" said Conner.

At the lake Justin and Kira were sitting a small wooden bench and Justin was nervous, he had something to ask Kira and was worried about her reaction.
"Dragon honey what is wrong you seem very tense" asked Kira.
"I'm nervous, you see Ptera I have something really important to ask you but I'm worried about your reaction" said Justin.
"Well just ask it can't be that bad that you are afraid I'd walk away from you, you forget I love you Justin" said Kira.
"It's a very big decision and has taken me a while to build up the courage to ask you" said Justin.
"Please just ask Justin" said Kira.
"Ok Kira I'll ask" said Justin standing up and kneeling on one knee and said "Kira I know we have only known each other for less than a year and that we have been going out together for almost as long and once this whole thing is over and we win this fight I want us to be together more so Kira Ford will you marry me?" Justin pulled a small box out his pocket that had a silver ring with a Yellow gemstone in the center inside.
"Oh Justin I would love to marry you" said Kira kissing Justin and letting him place the ring on her finger. "The rings perfect" then she kissed him again.
They were interrupted by someone wolf whistling and it was getting louder so they looked to see who it was and coming towards them were there friends and Conner obviously had been the one whistling since he was rubbing the back of his head where someone, presumably Kylee had slapped him to make him stop.
"So you finally asked Kira?" said Selena.
"Yeah and she said yes, now we just need to break the news to Kim, Tommy and Karen" said Justin.
"Wow, Justin you picked the perfect ring" said Kylee looking at her friends ring and then hugging Kira.
"Thanks Kylee" replied Kira hugging her back.
After the other Rangers congratulated them Devin got back to the topic the others were talking about earlier before reaching Justin and Kira.
"So going back to our earlier conversation Justin do you know who's taking over running the school when Kat and Rocky head off to Angel Grove later today?" asked Devin.
"Yeah actually Kim said Tommy has been asked to run the school" confirmed Justin.
"The schools files confirm that I hacked in and Kat has asked for some time off to recover from everything and to have her name changed to Principle Hilliard" said Ethan.
"What about his classes who will be taking them?" asked Kylee.
"He will still teach his own classes it just means that he will be more involved in the day to day running of the school" said Ethan.
"And also Kim may take over the morning register for Tommy's home room" said Justin.

In the Command Cave Tommy and Kim were talking with Rocky and Kat.
"So are you both ready to get away from Reefside for a while?" asked Tommy.
"Yeah it'll be good to leave this behind us for a month while we decide what to do" said Rocky.
"What are your plans after Rocky eats Adam and Tanya out of house and home?" asked Kim.
"Hey I'm not that bad anymore" said Rocky.
"You say that Rocky but my fridge is mysteriously empty" joked Tommy.
"It's empty because you had almost twenty Rangers here after defeating all those monsters yesterday" said Rocky.
"Oh yeah I forgot" smirked Tommy
That caused everyone in the Command Cave to laugh.

"Ah I see you are now whole" said Maligore.
"I am and now those pesky Rangers will learn the true power of the Dinosaurs" growled Mesogog.
"Good things are progressing well here as well" said Maligore as Mesogog looked round and could see Energy being infused into the core of Ryan's Comet and the woman he was told would become Divatox was inside a machine that appeared to be infusing her with Evil.
"Excellent so how long until we are ready to launch a full assault on the Rangers?" hissed Mesogog.
"I would predict that we will have both of them ready at 100% in a few days" said Maligore.
"Good then lets proceed to phase two" said Mesogog.
"What is phase two?" inquired Maligore.
"That is simple we use the now discarded Anton Mercer as a bargaining chip to get the Dino Gems from the Rangers, The White Ranger will have to tell them the truth that he knows that Anton was Mesogog and it will destroy all the trust he has gained after joining them" responded Mesogog.
Just then the core of Ryan's Comet cracked and a purple liquid started to ooze out of it pooling on the floor and then growing and sticking together until it started to form into a humanoid form.
"What is that" hissed Mesogog.
"I am Ivan Ooze and I am back, to get revenge on the Power Rangers for destroying me with a comet" said Ivan.
"Help me?" called Divatox who still hadn't been fully turned evil.
"And why would any of us do that?" growled Mesogog.
"Who's the girl?" asked Ivan.
"She is the Pirate Queen Divatox, she was turned human by Zordon's destruction" said Maligore.
"How did that happen?" asked Ivan.
"The U.A.E united all villains and attempted to take over the universe they captured Zordon and attempted to drain his energy, the final attack was on Earth and one Ranger made his way on to the control ship and found Zordon and was told to shatter Zordon's energy tube to save the universe" said Maligore.
"Excellent so there are no more Power Rangers to stop us since Zordon isn't around to give them power" said Ivan.
"Unfortunately there are still Rangers" hissed Mesogog before adding "Thomas Oliver who you knew as the White Ranger found a way to create powers for the current team of Rangers?"
"What resources do we have to destroy them?" asked Ivan.
"My Tyrannodrones and the Genome Randomiser" said Mesogog.
"What about Elsa and Zeltrax?" asked Maligore.
"Destroyed by the Rangers" said Mesogog.
"Well then let's start by giving these Rangers some Oozemen to fight and see how they deal with them?" said Ivan as he reached his arms up and out shot purple electricity and as it hit the ground a group of Oozemen appeared.
"Go Oozemen attack the city test the Rangers" said Ivan and with that said the Oozemen vanished.
"I don't want to be her again" screamed Divatox as the machine she was in was starting to glow red and slowly move up her body.
"Come now was being evil all that bad" said Ivan the he laughed.

In Reefside Park the Rangers were suddenly surrounded by puddles of Purple slime that grew into creatures and began attacking them.
"Justin what the hell are these things?" asked Conner.
"Why do you think I know everything?" replied Justin.
"Well you have been a Ranger before maybe you had seen them before" said Conner.
"Call Dr. O maybe he knows what they are?" said Cassidy.
"Hey Tommy we are in the park under attack by some Purple weird things that formed from puddles of Slime" called Justin through his communicator.
"We are on our way" said Tommy then he turned to Rocky and Kat and said "You guy's got time for one last battle before you go off to Angel Grove?"
"Let's do it" said Rocky.
About twenty minutes later the Purple creatures had the Dino Thunder and Turbo Rangers in trouble they had been consistently knocked down and were starting to wonder where they came from when a horn beeped and there were Tommy, Kim, Rocky and Kat.
"You guy's ok?" asked Tommy.
"Yeah now you're here these things are supper tough" said Justin.
"What are they?" asked Tommy.
"Uhm Tommy you may want to look yourself or else you won't believe me" said Rocky.
Tommy turned to see what everyone was on about when he saw Oozemen.
"Please tell me my eyes are deceiving me" said Tommy.
"Wish I could but I'm seeing the same thing as you" said Kim.
"Tommy what are these things?" asked Justin.
"They are Oozemen the foot soldiers of Ivan Ooze" said Tommy.
"Who is Ivan Ooze?" asked Conner.
"Trouble" said Rocky.
"So how do we defeat them?" asked Kira.
"Last time we hit them into sharp objects and they exploded, as for Ivan he's insanely powerful and it took everything we had plus a convenient Meteor to destroy him" said Tommy.
"Do you want to call in the rest of the Zeo team?" asked Rocky.
"Yeah we will need to call in Adam, Tanya and Jason" said Tommy.
Suddenly an Invisiportal opened and out of it came a Purple blob and as it landed it materialized into Ivan Ooze.
"Why did you come back I thought you would have learnt your lesson from the first time you faced us?" asked Tommy.
"Hah I see you still use Teenagers to fight evil" said Ivan indicating to the Dino Thunder and the Turbo Rangers.
"Go back to where ever it is you came from again" said Rocky.
"No chance and now as I have learnt there is no more Zordon you will never be able to stop me" said Ivan.
"We will still stop you Ivan, everyone it's time to suit up" said Tommy.
"It's Morphin Time, Pink Ranger Power" called Kim.
"It's Morphin Time" called Rocky and Kat.
"Zeo Ranger one Pink" called Kat.
"Zeo Ranger three Blue" called Rocky.
"Shift in to Turbo" called Devin.
"Dunne Star Turbo Power" called Kylee.
"Wind Chaser Turbo Power" called Cassidy.
"Red Lightning Turbo Power" called Devin.
"Dino Thunder! Power up!" called Conner.
"Tyranno!" called Conner.
"Tricera!" called Ethan.
"Brachio!" called Tommy.
"Ptera!" called Kira.
"Green Ranger Dino Power" called Justin.
"Dragon Thunder Turbo Power" called Selena.
Twelve Rangers stood their morphed ready to fight back against the Oozemen as Ivan just watched as his Oozemen were quickly defeated now the Rangers had morphed and were taking them on.
"Last chance Ivan go back to where you came from and never come back" said Tommy.
"No chance you think you have won the war but you haven't even won the battle you have just won this round I shall be back with something that has so much power that you will stand no chance" said Ivan and with a purple flash he vanished through an Invisiportal.
"Let's get back the Command Cave and talk there" said Tommy looking at Justin knowing he wanted to ask something.

Back in Mesogog's laboratory Ivan reappeared and was confronted by an angry Mesogog.
"What was that I thought that from your reputation you would have had more success against the Rangers" hissed Mesogog.
"If you had told me there were 12 of those pesky humans it would have made a great difference" said Ivan.
"Next time there will be more of them I can assure you of that" said Mesogog.
"How many?" Ivan asked.
"Anywhere from two up to seven extra that have regularly appeared in town" said Mesogog.
"All these infernal Teenagers becoming Rangers it drives me crazy" said Ivan.
"How long until she is ready?" growled Mesogog, indicating to Divatox.
"I don't know she keeps trying to fight the turn" said Maligore.
"I have a plan I require a map of the Earth and a pin pointing device" said Ivan.
Maligore collected the required items for Ivan Ooze.
Ivan stood in front of the map and raised his hands and Purple lightning left his figure tips and hit the map searching for something and then it pin pointed a location.
"Excellent the Rangers won't see this coming" said Ivan.
"See what?" hissed Mesogog.
"The one thing that Zordon must have forgot about, my brother Vile Ooze. The Ooze empire once ruled the universe until Zordon imprisoned us both in Hyper Locked Chambers, Zordon used his own energy to make sure neither of us could track the other down should we escape as long as he was still alive I would have found Vile years ago but the Rangers and the meddlesome she Devil Dulcea ruined my plans" said Ivan.
"What will finding Vile accomplish?" asked Maligore.
"Together Vile's and My power are virtually unbeatable it would take something of incredible power to defeat us" said Ivan.
"Does a power of that magnitude exist?" asked Mesogog.
"Now that Zordon is gone I can't think of anything that could be powerful enough" said Ivan.
"Go and get your brother" said Mesogog.
Ivan vanished in a Purple Flash.

Back in the Command Cave the Rangers had all regrouped and were waiting either for one of them to ask a question or for Tommy to explain what was going on.
"Tommy what the hell is going on I thought Ivan was destroyed?" asked Justin.
"He was but I guess Maligore and Mesogog found a way to bring him back" replied Tommy.
"How bad could this get?" asked Conner.
"If they can co-exist then I can't think of anything that would have the power to stop them" said Rocky.
"Would the Zeo Crystal be powerful enough?" asked Justin.
"Maybe" replied Tommy.
"What was Ivan on about when he said about something that has so much power that you will stand no chance?" asked Kira.
"I don't know on their own all of them are destructive and if Ivan knows of something more powerful we need to try to find it first" said Tommy.
"Tommy could you contact Dulcea on Phaedos maybe she has heard of something more powerful than Ivan?" asked Justin.
"If Kim, Rocky and I tap into our Animal spirits we might be able to reach her" he replied.
"Let's give it a shot anything that can help us find info out on this would be a great help" said Kim.
"Ok Justin keep an eye on the town in case they attack again while we are doing this" said Tommy.
"How long will it take do you think?" asked Conner.
"I have no idea and please don't interrupt us unless it is an emergency" said Tommy as he, Rocky and Kim left the Command Cave and headed up stairs to see if they could tap into their Ninjetti spirits and contact Dulcea.

Ten minutes had passed since Tommy, Rocky and Kim had left and the computer started beeping, Justin answered it and couldn't believe who was on the other end of the Video Message.
"Andros it's good to see you what can the Rangers of Earth do to help" said Justin.
"Justin I thought this was Tommy's contact number?" asked Andros.
"It is but he is busy at the moment so what's going on that you contacted us?" asked Justin again.
"Well uh I would rather talk to Tommy about this is there any way you could get him for me?" asked Andros.
"Not really he said unless it was an emergency then we weren't to interrupt him, tell me and I'll give him the message when he's finished" said Justin.
"Ok, well um my sources on Gratha have alerted me that recently Maligore appeared and took the former Divatox prisoner it is believed to turn her evil again" said Andros.
"What else Andros you are not telling me everything and if you want me to go and interrupt Tommy I need to know everything" said Justin.
"Ok well Maligore also is believed to have collected the core of Ryan's Comet which holds the remains of Ivan Ooze" said Andros.
"We know Ivan has been revived and has already attacked us once and made reference to finding something more powerful that we won't be able to deal with" said Justin.
"Oh no maybe Zordon was telling the truth" said Andros.
"Andros what is going on" said Justin.
"Before his death Zordon left a message on KO-35 that spoke of a being as evil and powerful as Ivan Ooze, Zordon imprisoned them both in Hyperlocked Chambers and buried them deep in the Earth" said Andros.
"What is this other being Andros?" asked Justin.
"According to Zordon Ivan has a brother called Vile Ooze and he is equally as powerful as Ivan" said Andros.
"Thanks Andros I'll be sure to tell Tommy" said Justin ending the communication and turning to Kylee first he said "Call Ashley get her up here with her Morpher" then turning to Kat he said "Kat can you call Adam, Tanya, Jason, Andrea, Trent and Billy and get then here ASAP I'll go and talk with Tommy" said Justin as he got up from the chair and headed up the stairs to find Tommy, Rocky and Kim.
Kat sat in the chair and began contacting Adam, while Kylee called her sister.
"Hello Tommy what can I do to help?" asked Adam.
"Adam its Kat we need you and Tanya in Reefside Ivan Ooze is back" said Kat.
"We're on our way who else are you going to contact?" asked Adam.
"Jason, Billy, Trent and Andrea" said Kat.
"I'll call Billy and check with Jason and see if Trent and Andrea have already left and we will join you ASAP" said Adam.
"Thanks Adam and can you make sure you bring your Morphers we are going to need all the help we can get" said Kat.

Justin had found Tommy, Kim and Rocky sitting facing each other it appeared they were focusing their minds and he didn't know whether to interrupt them or not but in the end he decided he had to because of what Andros had told them.
"Uh Tommy I'm sorry to interrupt but I have something you need to hear, It's a code one message from Andros" said Justin.
The three of them opened their eyes and looked to Justin.
"Andros only uses a Code one in an emergency what did he say Justin?" asked Tommy.
"Maligore kidnapped Divatox and is attempting to turn her evil again and he also said that Ivan Ooze has a Brother that Zordon imprisoned at the same time as Ivan and hid them both buried deep within the Earth" said Justin.
"Have you already called in the other Zeo Rangers?" asked Tommy.
"Kat is doing it while I came to tell you about the message" said Justin then he added "I also asked Kylee to call Ashley"
*"Right let's get back down to the Command Cave and see how many extra Rangers are coming" said Tommy as the four Rangers headed back down the stairs to the Command Cave.
"So Kat how many are Coming?" asked Tommy.
"Adam's going to ring round and get them here ASAP and check if Andrea and Trent are already on their way back to town" said Kat.

Meanwhile on a road driving back to Reefside were Andrea and Trent the radio station they had been listing to had just cutaway to report on the last monster attack in Reefside.
"The Purple monster to attack Reefside earlier today and vanish has been confirmed to be Ivan Ooze who was thought destroyed after his failed attempt to take over the world thanks to the Power Rangers in Angel Grove roughly eight years ago" said the Reporter.
"Trent step on it we need to get back immediately" said Andrea.
"Who's Ivan Ooze?" asked Trent.
"He was a villain of the Power Rangers he was found by Rita and Lord Zedd after Jason, Zack and Trini went to Switzerland, I was still in Angel Grove at the time and Ivan somehow found a way to control the minds of the Parents of Angel Grove, he got them to dig up and assemble his two robots to destroy the Earth" said Andrea.
"Do you think he will try to do the same in Reefside?" asked Trent.
"I hope not, that's why we need to hurry back" said Andrea.
Trent increased their speed so they were pushing just above the speed limit.

In Mesogog's lab they were tracking Andrea and Trent waiting for them to get within the City limits of Reefside.
"Once they are within the city limits take the Tyrannodrones and attack them, also deliver a message to the White Ranger, tell him Anton will be destroyed unless they hand over the Dino Gem's" hissed Mesogog.
"It shall be done" said Maligore.

As Trent's car drove along the road he suddenly slammed the breaks on as an Invisiportal opened and out came several Tyrannodrones and Maligore.
"What do you want?"
"Simple I have a message to deliver to the White Ranger but you must defeat the Tyrannodrones" said Maligore as he waved the Tyrannodrones to attack the two Rangers.
The two Rangers jumped right into fighting the Tyrannodrones and made light work of them before turning to Maligore and Trent said "So what's the message?"
"If you ever want to see your father Anton Mercer alive bring us the Dino Gems and you can have the poor excuse for a human" said Maligore.
"But I thought he was still stuck inside Mesogog?" asked Trent.
"He was until recently when Mesogog was able to separate himself from the weakling that was Anton Mercer" replied Maligore.
"How do we know he is still alive?" asked Andrea.
Maligore raised his claw into the air and a flash of fire left and formed a screen and it showed Anton in a prison cell moving round it looked like he was trying to come up with a plan of escape.
"There's your proof" said Maligore.
Andrea watched as Trent was thinking it through and said "Ok we will bring you the Dino Gems"
"Excellent and no funny business, when you have collected them enter the Invisiportal in your father's office you know the way to the main area from there" said Maligore as he left through the Invisiportal.
"Trent what did you just do you know we will have to tell them your dad is Mesogog and even then there is no guarantee they will give us the Dino Gems" said Andrea.
"I know Andy but it's time I told Tommy the Truth he's known Anton for a long time and if anyone can help us find a way to get Anton back and not risk the Earth its him" said Trent.
"Why did they ask for only the Dino Gem's?" asked Andrea.
"I don't know maybe Mesogog needs them for something" said Trent.
The two of them got back in the car and headed towards Reefside at a quick pace.
"Andy contact Tommy let him know we need to talk the second we get back" said Trent.
"Right I'm on it" replied Andrea as she pulled her phone out and sent the message to Tommy.
She got a reply saying that he was at the house with the others and they were all waiting for them.
"Do you think he knows?" asked Trent after Andy had read out Tommy's reply.
"I know he was suspicious they are the same person Justin and Kira told me that" said Andrea.
"Let's hurry and tell them everything" said Trent as the car sped up and soon made its way up the winding road towards Tommy's house.
