In the room was a boy with red hair no older than 6. He wore a blue long sleeve shirt and pants that had red hems, and a star on his shirt that resembles Captain America's shield. Next came a girl (6) with short deep brown hair that almost looks black, she was dressed in a red and gold night dress. Another girl next to her around the same age with short black hair in a green night dress.
A 5-year-old girl with long blonde hair with one piece in a tie-red-robin wearing a blue T-shirt and white shorts, holding a young African boy no older than four. Who was wearing a red top and orange shorts, his amber eyes shined bright with childlike wonder. They sat on the bottom bunk while an elderly, looking man came in a young boy who was no more than 2 or 3 years old.
"Can we hear it again, please?" The young boy holding on to the two slightly older girls next to him.
"More! Tell us the story more!" The blonde girl yelled out causing the older man to laugh.
"Okay, one more time then it's off to bed with you. The man said as he shifted his hold on the small child.
"And there came a day unlike any other, Earth's mightiest heroes were united against a common threat."
The Solider, the God, the Knight, the Spy, the Pixie, the Ghost, and the Archer. On that day, the Avengers were born to fight, the foes that no single hero could with stand. Time traveling conquerors, alien invaders, master of evil; the Avengers vanquished them all.
And finally, when the world was at peace, the heroes built lives of their own. The Solider and Spy fell in love as did the Giant and Pixie. The king found his Queen, the Knight found his Princess, and the thunder God returned to his kingdom far away from the world of men.
But in time, evil retuned an evil called Ultron. Ultron wanted nothing less than domination, over the world, but the Avengers stood in its way. Sadly, their defat was inevitable. But before they fell the Avengers, hid their children in a place faraway place where; they could grow up safe from Ultron grasp. Because the Avengers knew that as long as the children were alive, there was still hope.
After finishing the story, he put the baby to bed who was no asleep, as well as the rest of the children. He placed a blanket over the three children on the top bunk, as the small blonde girl was already fast asleep with the African boy curled up against her knees deep in sleep.
Taking one last look at the children he smiled whispering. "Yes, still hope." Before turning off the lights and closing the door.
