Chapter 5 : Succumb
The man in front of her just smiled and took her hand into his.
"What we're doing here? Wearing this wedding attire with our entire clans here…"the enigma still got a hold of her.
"We're getting married, my love," the man explained while stroking her hair.
"What?" The question comes out from her mouth slowly. Yura eyes widened. She could not believe what she heard. Astonish, happy and guilt. Her feeling got mixed up. Again, his hand caressing her cheek tried to convince her that everything was alright.
"Priest, let's continue," Seimei ordered Yume to continue her duty as the red moon will leave them soon.
Yura's heart is beating fast. Yes, she loves this man. But her heart telling her something just not right though the moment that she is in right now was something that she would wish for.
"No, wait… I could not carry on with this, Rikuo. It just doesn't seem right. I can't remember anything," in the midst of dizziness Yura stopped the ceremony, lay her right hand on his chest as she asked for understanding.
Seimei , who disguised as Rikuo started to lose his patience as the red moon soon will leave. He pulled her and took her into his arm tightly. Yura's surprised by his rough treat.
"Throw your worry and doubt. Trust me. Isn't that love inside your heart was mine? Carry on, Yume," Seimei tried to reassure her.
As Yume recite the wedding vows, Yura struggled in Seimei's arm. She tried to find her ofuda paper to summon her shikigami but it was vain, she did not have them.
As Yume finished reciting the wedding vow, now it is time for the bride and groom to exchange a cup of sake with their hand crossed for closure and complete the wedding ceremony. Hiruko and Yui yui who served as the bridesmaid poured the sake into each cup. Then, forcefully Seimei made Yura hold the cup of sake and crossed hand with him. He drank it but Yura still struggling to stop herself from sipping the drink. As the edge of the cup nearing her lips, suddenly a sword flew and smashed the cup to pieces. Yura's eyes again widened.
She recognized the sword. ' Nuekirimaru? Shouldn't this sword be with you, Rikuo? '. Her eyes stare at the person in front of her.
" Yura…"
Yura looked to direction of the voice. 'Rikuo…' Her eyes widen. She can immediately tell that is the real Rikuo, the one that she knew. Appearance might be deceiving but not heart.
She tried to reach Rikuo who standing in the altar lane. But before she could move any further, Seimei held her arm tight and grabbed her into his arm.
"You're not going anywhere!" as he hold her, Seimei cast tones of heptagram towards Rikuo which slowly grew big. 'You shall perish on this very night'
Rikuo swift action got him away from being trapped within the heptagram. He had prepared for this.
"Don't tell me this is the best you got!" Rikuo mocked Seimei with a smirk on his lips.
Seimei cast a portal on the floor that look like a deep pond and throwing Yura into it before sealing it.
"So brave of you to come here and face me. Have you lost your mind from our last encounter?" Seimei laugh.
"Where did you send her, SEIMEI! Return her to me or I swear this will the last day you will be breathing on earth," Rikuo gives his deadly stare. His Fear was so overwhelming. It is darker, bigger and stronger that it ever been. His stare is deadly.
"Don't be so sure. We will see whose last breath will it be," Seimei withdraw his sword. He never yield that sword since no one a match for him until today.
The swords clashing with each other, igniting sparks that burn everything that it touch and the structure of the castle become frail and start to fall apart. The Gokadoin clan ran saving their life.
"You want to know where I sent her...Hahaha," Seimei laughing leisurely while swinging his sword toward Rikuo.
"You better tell me!" Rikuo lashing toward Seimei with all his strength.
"I send her to succumb to the darkness inside her, to unleash her power. And fortunately, we are husband and wife now. A sip of the sake has gone down to her throat, thanks to your action just now. There is nothing you can do. Once she going out from where I send her, we will be victorious. Hahaha… and if you try to stop her now, she might stay dark forever,"
"You bastard!" Rikuo yield the Nuekirimaru wrapped with his intense Fear towards Seimei. But, just as the Nuekirimaru touch him, it shattered. 'What?'
