The next day at school:
Haley and Lucas:
Lucas walks up to Haley and wraps his arms around her.
Lucas: How is my beautiful and smart girlfriend doing this morning?
Haley: Hey! Haley moves out of his arms. Let's not do this here.
Lucas: Why?... Is it because of Jake?
Haley: I don't want to seem like I'm rubbing it in his face. Plus, we just broke up and I don't want to seem like I'm some whore that's being passed around.
Lucas: Hales…no one thinks you're a whore. Peyton walks up.
Peyton: well… I'm mean you went from Nathan to Lucas. Who are brothers by the way. Then, you went to Jake and then back to Lucas. I guess you are some whore being passed around. Peyton started laughing. Haley who is clearly upset just walks away.
Lucas: Thanks a lot Peyton.
Peyton: What I was just joking. Everyone knows Haley is a miss goody two shoes. Peyton leaves Lucas to go find Haley.
With Brooke and Nathan at his locker
Brooke: I was thinking we should go out?
Nathan: Um…aren't we doing that?
Brooke: No, I mean like go out as in a date?
Nathan: Really…I mean we are both really busy Brooke and I don't want my mom to start feeling like we are using her.
Brooke: I know but we still need to make time for each other.
Nathan: You are right. Don't worry I will plan everything. Saturday night is our night.
Brooke: Actually, I was thinking Friday after the game. We could go to dinner and stop by the party at Tim's house.
Nathan (Laughs): Now I see what this is about. You miss the party life.
Brooke: it's more so I miss my friends and I know you miss your friends. I mean come on Nate we do the same thing everyday. School, practice, for you, and home repeat. We are young…
Nathan: Okay, I get your point. If you want to go to Tim's party we can go. He leans down and kisses her.
Peyton and Haley outside
Peyton: Haley!
Haley: Leave me alone Peyton
Peyton: Haley…I was just joking. I didn't know that all of that was a sensitive subject. Its just I've been having trouble fitting in with everyone after everything and…
Haley: I get it…when I came back from tour I tried to just jump back into to things as if nothing ever happened.
Peyton: I just want everything to go back to normal. I want all of us to be friends again.
Haley: I would like that too. Brooke walks up.
Brooke: Guess who is going to Tim's party Friday night?
Haley: The whole school, besides you and Nathan because you guys don't have a social life. Haley and Peyton both laughed.
Brooke: Ha! You're so funny. If you must know Nathan and I are going to the party.
Haley: oh this should be good. Nathan and Brooke's first party after having Aria. The bell rings.
Peyton: Come on we have class. They all walk to class.
At Lunch
Nathan and Lucas are sitting at the table under the tree waiting for the girls.
Basketball Player: Hey Nate, is it true you are coming to the party Friday night?
Nathan (Sighs): Yea man, I'll be there
Basketball Player: Cool. I'll see you at practice. The guy walks away
Nathan: I swear that is like the 10th person who has asked me that
Lucas (laughing): I mean when there is a rumor that the King and Queen of Tree Hill High will be making a appearance at a party after a period of time everyone wants to know.
Nathan: I don't even want to go. I'm doing this for Brooke. I think she feels lonely now that she no longer has cheerleading. She was telling me earlier how boring our lives have become.
Lucas: well I mean she has a point. You both went from partying almost every night and staying out all hours of the night to being home and in bed by 10pm.
Nathan: I have priorities now I can't do the things I use to
Lucas: No one is telling you to go back to the old Nathan but you don't have to be a grandpa either. Back to Brooke, why doesn't she just rejoin the cheerleading team?
Nathan: it would complicate things. My mom and your mom already watch Aria all day and then Brooke doesn't want to feel like her mom, but I feel like it could be a good thing. The girls walk up
Haley: What would be a good thing? She asked sitting down next to Lucas, Brooke sat down next to Nathan and Peyton sat next to Brooke.
Lucas: What took you guys so long?
Peyton: Brooke's fan club wouldn't let her leave. They are really excited about her returning to the party scene.
Lucas: Nathan's fan club won't leave him alone either.
Haley: Here comes the president of Brooke's fan club. Felix walks up.
Felix: Hey Brooke. So I heard you're going to be at the party on Friday.
Brooke: Yes I will be there…with my boyfriend
Felix (Laughs): Well I'll see you there. He smiles and walks away.
Nathan: I hate that guy.
