A/N I have decided that this will be a Mallie and a Addek fic. Mallie will still be the main couple and Addek the secondary couple.

New York

It had been a week since Mark had talked to his mother for the first time in fourteen years. She had told him that his father had Alzheimer's and no longer remembered his only son. Mark was now going to New York because he had some things to say to his father before Edward Sloan passed away. Mark knew that he couldn't do this alone so he had asked Callie and Derek to come with him. Callie had called Addison and asked her to come with them as well. Callie told Mark that it was because she didn't want to be the only woman on this trip, but the truth was that Callie thought Mark could use a little more moral support than just her and Derek.

Callie and Mark and Derek had flown to New York together and they were going to meet Addison at JFK airport. Luckily they had managed to time their arrival times so that the Seattle group would get there just thirty minutes before Addison got there. Now the Seattle group was sitting at Addison's gate waiting for her plane to arrive. Derek would have felt like a third wheel if Addison hadn't come to New York. Of course being paired up with his ex wife wasn't exactly ideal, but he had just needed to get away from Seattle.

"So, what's wrong with you and Meredith?" Mark asked. He knew that Derek and Meredith were having some problems and he had a feeling that Derek's New York trip probably wasn't making Meredith all that happy. Especially since Addison was going to be there.

"She doesn't trust me." Derek replied.

"Just because you are going to be hanging out with your ex wife?" Callie demanded.

"Well can you blame her? I mean Addison is insanely hot and sex with her…well you know how amazing it is." Mark pointed out as he looked at Derek.

Callie and Derek both glared at Mark. Neither of them wanted to hear about Mark and Addison's past sexual exploits.

"Don't talk that way about my wife." Derek muttered.

"Ex wife Derek." Mark reminded him.

Derek had no idea why he had just called Addison his wife. He suspected that it was just because he was back in New York and he was about to see his ex wife for the first time in about a year.

"Don't talk about sex with another woman in front of me. The woman you knocked up." Callie hissed angrily as she punched Mark's shoulder. Mark wasn't about to tell Callie that she had actually hurt him that that punch. Callie was one strong woman, both physically and emotionally. Mark at least had the good sense to attempt to look contrite over his comments about Addison. He wasn't smart enough to shut up completely though.

"What I was going to say was that having sex with Meredith is probably like having sex with a toothpick. No boobs and no hips." Mark finished his comment.

Derek scowled at him. He wasn't going to admit that sometimes Mark had a valid point today he did. Sex with Meredith was much different than sex with Addison. Callie was still glaring at Mark and she was not likely to forgive him anytime soon. Mark looked at her and smiled.

"Sex with you is incredible." Mark told the mother of his unborn children reassuringly, hoping to calm her down.

"Okay, do I want to hear about your sexual exploits?" Derek demanded.

"We haven't slept together since we found out that we're pregnant." Mark told Derek. Callie held up a finger and shook her head.

"What's with this 'we're pregnant' stuff Mark? Are you the one who is going to look like a blimp at six months and a whale at nine months? Are you the one who won't be able to see your own feet in a few months? Are you the one who is going to have to go through labor and then push two babies out of an opening the size of a lemon? No? I didn't think so. So shut up." Callie snapped. Mark was startled at Callie's blow up. He looked at Derek and Derek shook his head. Derek was not getting involved with this discussion. Mark chose wisely to keep his mouth shut for awhile until Callie cooled off.

Addison's plane had finally landed and she was finally off that plane. She enjoyed flying, but it was difficult because her legs were so insanely long. It wasn't really comfortable. And the plane bathroom was so insanely tiny that Addison often felt horribly claustrophobic in there. When she stepped into the airport, dressed head to toe in Chanel, she saw her group. They appeared to be arguing. Well okay, Callie and Mark appeared to be arguing. Derek was shaking his head. Addison looked at Derek. He looked good to her. He had thankfully left the flannel in Seattle and he had worn New York clothing which translated into much more stylish clothing. If Addison was not mistaken he was even wearing a shirt that she had bought him when they lived in New York. It was a maroon colored shirt. Finally Callie noticed her approaching. She stood up and hugged Addison and then Mark stood and hugged Addison. They had just seen her a week and a half ago. Then it was Derek's turn to stand up and hug his ex wife. He stood up, smiled at her and pulled her into a hug.

"It's good to see you Addie." Derek told her sincerely.

"You too Der." Addison told him softly.

When Derek saw Addison for the first time in a year, he was reminded of the day that she had walked down a long aisle towards him and promised to be his forever. Derek hadn't thought about his wedding day in years so he was surprised that he was thinking about it now.

"You look good." Derek told Addison.

"You too. Still with the Russell Crowe haircut I see." Addison pointed out to him, laughing softly.

Callie looked at Mark, clearly confused. These two exes were acting like they were old friends with a lot of feelings still between them. Callie had no idea that Derek could look as stylish as he did right now. After all she hadn't seen him in anything except flannel and navy blue scrubs. Mark hadn't expected to see Derek and Addison this comfortable with each other. He wondered if it was because Meredith wasn't there.

"Can we go to the hotel now?" Addison asked. Her $900 shoes were really starting to kill her feet even if she had only been walking in them for twenty minutes after a five hour long plane ride.

"How much luggage do you have at the baggage claim this time Addie?" Derek asked. Addison had never been one to travel lightly and both Derek and Mark knew that very well.

"Oh shut up, Mr. My Hair Products Are In One Bag And Clothes In The Other." Addison scowled at him. Both Callie and Mark started laughing at Addison's description of her ex husband's hair routine.

"Seriously Addie, how many bags did you check?" Mark asked her.

"Three." Addison whispered softly as a blush rose on her cheeks.

"Addie we're only here for the weekend." Mark reminded her.

"So I wasn't sure what our plans were other than going to see your parents so I made sure that I had outfits for every possible outing." Addison told Mark.

Derek shook his head at his ex wife. She still had not changed since they had been married. She still traveled with an insane amount of luggage for a weekend trip.

"I brought a duffle bag." Derek told Mark. Derek had always been known to pack lightly.

"Me too." Mark confirmed.

"I brought a suitcase, but there's only one." Callie told both guys and Addison.

"Let's go pick up the girls suitcases." Mark told Derek. Both men had used the duffle bags as their carryon so they didn't have to check the bags.

After the men had gotten Addison's three suitcases and Callie's one, they went outside where they knew that their rental car was going to be. There was a rental car shot at JFK airport and the foursome had already reserved it before they got to New York. It was a Honda Element. The men and Addison hoped that there was decent legroom in the car because they were all tall. They weren't too disappointed. They stashed the luggage in the trunk, but Mark had to hold his duffle bag on his lap because Addison's three suitcases took up over half of the room. There was barely enough room for Callie's suitcase and Derek's duffle bag.

"Good God Addie, you need to learn how to pack lighter." Mark muttered.

"Oh please. You only care because you have to hold your bag on your lap." Addison scowled from the backseat where she sat with Callie.

"You are just pissed because your Amazon sized legs are stuffed in the backseat." Mark muttered.

"Oh shut up children." Derek finally told them both as he drove the car to the Four Seasons where they were all staying for the weekend.

When they got to the Four Seasons, they unloaded their luggage from the car and then made their way to the check in desk. Mark had reserved a room for him and Callie and Derek and Addison had reserved separate rooms for themselves. Mark approached the check in desk first.

"I have a reservation for a suite under the name Sloan." Mark told the young blond woman behind the counter.

"Fifty bucks says that he sleeps with her by the end of the weekend." Derek whispered into Addison's ear. Addison elbowed his chest hard and shook her head.

"Not gonna happen." Addison insisted.

"Yes, here is your reservation. The belhop can take your luggage to your room." The woman at the check in desk told Mark.

"Thank you." Mark told the woman politely.

"I hope you and your wife enjoy yourselves." the woman told Mark with a smile. Callie raised her eyebrows as Mark walked back to where she was standing.

"Wife, huh?" Callie asked with a smirk. Mark rolled his eyes and shook his head. Callie was not going to play his wife while they were here.

"I'll correct her." Mark assured Callie. Mark wasn't sure that he wanted to correct the check in woman, but he wasn't going to tell Callie that.

Derek approached the desk next so he could check into his room.

"I have a reservation under the name Shepherd." Derek told the woman.

"You aren't going to sleep with that hot young thing are you Mark?" Callie asked as they waited for Derek and Addison to get checked in. She was kind of hurt that he would probably sleep with the young woman at the check in desk.

"No Cal. I promise I won't." Mark assured her as he rested his hand on her stomach. Mark was no longer that guy anymore. He had found the woman that he wanted and it was Callie and no one else. He wouldn't risk it by sleeping with some young blond chick. Callie let out a relieved sigh. She was so glad that Mark wasn't going to sleep with that woman.

"Yes here is you reservation Mr. Shepherd. I can have the belhop take your luggage if you wish?"

"No, that will not be necessary." Derek told the woman. After all he only had one bag.

"Thank you for the offer." Derek added politely. Derek stepped aside and let Addison approach the desk.

"Hello, I have reservations under Montgomery." Addison told the woman.

The woman whose name Addison noticed was Jean, nodded and she typed it into the computer database to see what came up when Montgomery was typed in. A minute later, she looked up.

"I'm sorry, your name isn't coming up on the reservation list."

Addison bit back the urge to scowl for the third time that day. After all it wasn't Jean's fault. Addison pulled out the reservation confirmation that she had made sure to print out before she left LA. She passed the sheet of paper to Jean and Jean looked at it.

"Well it says here that you did reserve a room, but unfortunately we have no rooms available." Jean told Addison apologetically.

"Addie, you can stay with Mark and I." Callie told Addison reassuringly.

Mark smirked as hot sexy thoughts filled his head. His two favorite women sleeping in his bedroom. Damn he was a lucky man.

"Mark get your mind out of the gutter." Callie growled.

"No, Addison you can stay with me." Derek told his ex wife kindly. He had no idea what had come over him just then, but he didn't want to see Addison so upset.

Mark and Callie looked at each other in stunned silence. Since when did Derek want to voluntarily share a room with his ex wife for the weekend. Things must have been worse with Meredith than either Callie or Mark realized.

What was the lesser of two evils. Sharing a hotel room with her ex husband or sharing a room with her best friend and her ex lover? Addison knew that Mark would be pushing the threesome idea all weekend and she knew that Derek wouldn't do that.

"I'll share with you Der." Addison told Derek finally after she had given it careful consideration. Derek nodded and turned to the reception desk and smiled at Jean.

"Could we have just one more key for my room?" Derek asked Jean. Jean smiled and handed Derek another key.

"Do you need a belhop?" Jean asked kindly.

"No, we've got it." Derek told Jean as the four of them walked away from the check in desk.

When they got upstairs to their rooms, they were delighted to find out that the rooms were right next to each other. So they wouldn't have to walk all over the hotel trying to find each other.

"Great so when Mark snores I can just go next door to your room and kick Derek out and make him sleep with Mark." Callie told Addison with a grin.

"Hey I am NOT sleeping with any dude." Mark insisted while he opened the door to the suite that he had gotten for himself and Callie.

"Thank God for that because I don't want to sleep with you." Derek told his childhood best friend.

"Oh, hell no." Callie exclaimed as soon as she laid eyes on the bed. The hotel staff had assumed that a married couple was using this room and they had decorated it with red rose petals and a bottle of champagne.

Mark caught up to her and when he saw what the hotel staff had done, he smiled. He had nothing to do with it, but just seeing Callie's reaction was enough. He knew that Callie wasn't ready for a commitment from him.

"Let's get rid of the champagne and throw the rose petals away." Mark suggested.

In Addison and Derek's room, Addison was about to have a panic attack. There was only one bed in there. She was not sleeping in the same bed as her ex husband. She flat out refused. She would call the front desk and ask for a cot to be brought up. And then she would make Derek sleep on the cot. While Derek was unpacking and organizing, Addison would go check out the room.

Mark and Callie were still looking at the romantic bedroom that had been set out for them. Just then Addison came through the door that joined hers and Derek's and Callie's and Mark's two rooms together. She had had no idea what it was until she had opened the door in her and Derek's room.

"I'll take the champagne. I'll need it if I am sharing a bed with my ex husband." Addison told Mark and Callie as she held out her hand for the bottle. Mark rolled his eyes, but handed her the bottle anyway.

"Where is the ex husband anyway?" Callie asked.

"He's organizing his hair products in the bathroom." Addison told Callie with a roll of her eyes.

"Good God are we sure he wasn't born a chick?" Mark asked with a shake of his head. Callie and Addison laughed just as Derek walked into Mark and Callie's room.

"What time are we going over to your parent's house?" Derek asked as he looked at Mark.

"I told my mother we'd be there at about three." Mark told Derek.

Callie checked her watch and she realized that it was already two in the afternoon.

"We have an hour to freshen up and then get over there then." Callie told the other three. Derek went back into his room to change. Addison mumbled something about a shower and that left Mark and Callie alone in their room.

"I am going to take a shower." Callie told Mark.

"It could be a faster shower if I joined you." Mark pointed out with a smirk.

"Not happening Mark." Callie told him flatly as she walked to the bathroom.

"Trying to conserve water Cal." Mark called after her.

"Shut up Mark." Callie told him.

Mark sat down on the bed and cleaned up the rose petals that were all over the bed. He knew that Callie didn't want the rose petals everywhere. Addison had taken the champagne so that was one less thing that Mark had to get rid of. When Callie stepped out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel wrapped around her body, Mark couldn't concentrate on anything. She looked beautiful.

"What should I wear?" Callie asked softly.

"You could wear a paper bag and I would still find you the sexiest woman in the world." Mark told her sincerely.

"I am not having sex with you tonight or any other night Mark." Callie told him.

"I am being sincere Cal." Mark told her, doing his best not to look hurt.

"Go shower Mark." Callie told Mark with a small smile. She was inclined to believe Mark that she was sexy, but only because he had never lied to her before.

Forty minutes later it was five minutes to three and the four of them were standing on the Sloan's doorstep. To Mark, the huge house looked exactly as it had when he left home for good. Now that he was no longer a scared six year old, the house didn't look as big as it had looked when he was six. He had rang the doorbell and the other three had stepped back to give him a moment with his mother. When the door opened, a woman with white hair and green eyes looked out the door. She looked a lot younger than her seventy two years.

"Hi Mom." Mark said to this woman. Despite it being fourteen years since he had seen or talked to his mother, he knew it was her instantly.

"Mark." Eleanor whispered as tears filled her green eyes. He looked almost exactly like his father. Eleanor couldn't see any of herself in him. She wanted to hug him, but she knew that she had lost that right a long time ago.

"Come in." Eleanor told Mark and the other three. Mark walked into the house and Callie, Derek and Addison followed him into the house. Eleanor closed the door behind them.
