A/N This is pretty Addison centric with a few of the other characters involved.

Satan's Return

Addison stepped off the plane in her impossibly high Jimmy Choo heels. She had on a black pencil skirt and a dark green top and she had on a black blazer over that. She had no idea who was picking her up at the airport. Last she had heard it was Callie but Addison wasn't sure if that had changed at all. She knew things could change with a simple beep of a pager. When she reached the gate where she was supposed to meet whoever was picking her up, she didn't see Callie waiting for her. Instead she saw her ex lover. Mark was sitting in one of those very uncomfortable airport chairs checking his watch.

"Mark." Addison called.

Mark looked up and smiled when he saw the tall redhead calling him. He immediately vacated the uncomfortable chair and walked over to Addison. Mark pulled her into his arms and hugged her. It really hadn't been too long since they had seen each other, but Mark was glad that Addison would be here for the next six months. That meant that he didn't have to fly to LA anymore. He never wanted anyone to know how afraid of flying he actually was, but he suspected that Callie had figured it out already. He just hoped that she hadn't mentioned it to anyone. Like Derek or Addison.

"Sorry Callie couldn't come get you. She got pulled into a surgery just ten minutes before she was about to leave the hospital. She basically ordered me to come pick you up." Mark explained to Addison.

Addison chuckled. It seemed as though Callie Torres had Mark Sloan whipped and Addison never thought she would see the day that actually happened.

"Have you told her that you are crazy in love with her yet?" Addison asked bluntly. Mark's grey-blue eyes widened. How the heck did Addison know that he was in love with Callie. Mark didn't think he had been that obvious, particularly in New York.

"How…I mean…when…I…no." Mark stumbled. Mark Sloan never stumbled on his words so Addison knew that she was right. Mark was in love with Callie.

"She told me that you refused to have sex with her on multiple occasions." Addison explained as the two of them headed for baggage claim.

"I didn't want to just be her sex buddy." Mark answered.

Addison smiled. She knew why Mark didn't want to be Callie's sex buddy. He wanted more and he was not quite sure how to go about getting more of a commitment from her.

"Just admit to me that you love her Mark. It's not a hard thing to say especially since you already know how you feel about her." Addison insisted impatiently as they waited at baggage claim for her two bags.

"How many bags are we picking up now?" Mark asked in a desperate attempt to change the subject. Mark was never good about talking about his feelings and to feeling of loving someone was no different.

"Two. Naomi's packing up my stuff and sending it to me." Addison replied. The reason she had only two bags was because Naomi had packed for her. Addison wasn't fooled by the change of subject though. She knew Mark changed the subject whenever he was feeling uncomfortable or just plain vulnerable.

"Don't think I am allowing you to hide you feelings from Callie either Mark Sloan." Addison warned with a glare. Addison was definitely not letting that go.

Mark was surprised that Addison had only two bags but he was definitely not going to question it. It was the lightest she had packed in years. When she brought up the Callie thing, Mark groaned. He had a feeling that Addison was not going to let him forget this. It was going to be a long car ride back to the hospital.

"Where are you staying?" Mark asked as he reached for Addison's two suitcases and pulled them off the merry go round.

"The Achfield until I find a rental that I like." Addison explained. She had to rent because she wasn't going to be here that long. Six months and as soon as her patient's conjoined twins were separated, she was leaving. She had left Seattle for a reason and she was not going to be pulled back in by Richard, Derek, Mark or Callie.

"While we are on the subject of hiding feelings, what happened in New York with you and Derek?" Mark asked. Mark knew something had changed between his two oldest friends and Derek wasn't speaking to him and that was frustrating Mark. Mark knew that Derek was still in love with Addison and his actions yesterday had definitely proved that.

Addison's eyes widened and she smirked. Mark had just opened up a metaphorical window for her to ask about Callie again.

"So you do admit that you have hidden feelings for her." Addison accused with a widening smile appearing on her lips.

"Hey we are not talking about me. We are talking about you and Derek." Mark told her.

"Stop deflecting Mark." Addison insisted with a glare that normally would have worked on Mark in the past.

"I don't want to talk about my love life anymore." Mark insisted.

"So you do love her." Addison insisted as they walked out to the car. Mark was seriously about ready to kill someone because of Addison's inability to let this go.

"Addison. Just drop it." Mark growled, very quickly losing patience with his former lover.

Mark knew that he had to do something to get the focus off of himself. He didn't want to talk about his feelings for Callie. He wanted to talk about what had happened between Derek and Addison. Mark needed to know what was going on between them.

"What happened in New York with you and Derek?" Mark asked again as he slid into the driver's seat with Addison sliding into the passenger seat.

"Nothing happened." Addison told Mark. Not that Addison would have resisted it if something did happen between them, but Derek had picked Meredith over her again and to Addison that was the answer she needed. Derek didn't actually want her. If he wanted her, he would have forgotten all about Meredith and kissed Addison until her lips were swollen.

"I walked in on you two and you were almost lip to lip. That's not nothing Addison." Mark reminded her. Callie had wanted him dead when he told her what he had walked in on and she held a grudge against him until they had reached Seattle.

"It doesn't matter. He picked Meredith again. He loves Meredith." Addison murmured.

Mark shook his head. She really was a smart woman but not in matters of the heart. She really didn't realize that Derek loved her too. Mark wondered if he ought to be the one to tell Addison that Derek had dumped Meredith yesterday. Mark wasn't entirely sure that Derek would tell her right away and Mark thought she should know.

"He and Meredith are over." Mark told Addison quietly.

Addison was stunned into silence when Mark told her about Derek and Meredith's breakup. She had thought for sure that Derek loved Meredith and that they would last. That they would be SGH's Golden Couple. Maybe Derek caught her cheating on him…No, Meredith wouldn't do that. She was crazy about him and he was always there for her. Then what was the reason for the breakup. Addison wasn't so self absorbed to think that she was the reason for the breakup, but she couldn't help but wonder.

"What happened?" Addison finally managed to ask as she looked inquisitively at Mark.

"I don't know. Derek's avoiding me and I haven't had Meredith on Plastics in a few weeks." Mark explained. He wished that he had more to tell Addison. Mark could tell that she was curious about what had happened.

"Then how did you find out that they were over?" Addison asked confusedly.

"I overhead Lisa and Leslie talking about it. Apparently Lisa had heard yelling and then silence and then a short time later Derek and Meredith came out of on call room three." Mark explained.

"Who are Lisa and Leslie." Addison demanded.

"Two of the hospital's newest nurses." Mark replied.

"Sounds like they had just had sex." Addison told Mark

"That's what I thought too but then Tyler and Olivia saw Meredith knocking back tequila shots at Joe's last night. Apparently she does that when she gets dumped." Mark clarified.

That Addison knew. She had seen Meredith do that more than once and the last time being when she had come back for the case where a baby had his organs growing outside of his body and Mark had made skin for the surgery. Addison had begged Meredith not to let Derek go and it seemed as though Derek had dumped Meredith. Addison couldn't be angry at Meredith. She knew how it felt to be dumped by Derek Shepherd.

"For the record, nothing else happened between Derek and I that night. Yes we almost kissed, but that was it." Addison told Mark honestly. That comment was slightly out of left field, but she wanted Mark to believe that nothing had happened with Derek that night that Mark had walked in on them in New York. She also wanted to stop talking about Meredith and Derek.

"And for the record I finally gave Callie earth-shattering sex last night." Mark told Addison. He remembered last night as one of the best sexual experiences of his life. He knew that Addison would insist the reason for it was that he was actually in love.

"Well that's got to be a relief to Callie. For what she told me, you were holding out on her when her parents were visiting." Addison told Mark.

"Well I wasn't going to have sex with Callie when her parents were just next door." Mark argued.

"Callie didn't tell me they stayed over." Addison gasped. God no wonder Mark didn't want to have sex when Callie's parents were visiting. Addison couldn't believe that Callie was desperate enough to have sex with her parents right next door. The heightened sexual drive didn't usually kick in until the second trimester. Maybe it was kicking in earlier because of the twins that Callie was carrying. Addison wasn't sure what else could contribute to Callie's heightened sexual drive.

"Callie kicked Yang out and her parents stayed in Yang's room." Mark answered.

"How is she doing?" Addison asked Mark. Addison was worried about Callie working such a stressful job and being pregnant with twins. She had a feeling that Mark was looking out for Callie though. Addison knew that Mark would not let Callie overdo it.

"She's tired a lot so she is getting plenty of naps at work." Mark explained. He was thankful for Miranda Bailey who seemed to be able to talk Callie into resting even when Mark had already tried to get her to rest.

"Richard isn't Mommy tracking her yet is he?" Addison asked. She knew that Callie would hate being Mommy tracked.

"No not yet, but Callie has already threatened Richard if he tries to Mommy track her at any point in the pregnancy or when the babies are here. Something about breaking both of his legs so he couldn't walk for a good long time." Mark told Addison, chuckling a bit at the end.

"That sounds exactly like Callie." Addison agreed with a smile of her own.

Just then Mark pulled up to the hospital. Addison wasn't sure if she should leave her luggage in Mark's silver BMW, but she didn't want to lug it all around the hospital either.

"I'll take you to the Archfield tonight. Leave your luggage in the car." Mark told Addison. Addison was relieved. She really didn't want to drag it around the hospital all day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Addison had gone to HR and collected her name badge and her white coat with her name stitched on it, she went to go see her patient. Mark had been paged to the Pit and she was pretty sure that the rest of the hospital was down there as well.. Addison knew that this patient's parents had specifically requested her so she knew that she had to be on top of her game today and not think about seeing Derek later on,

She walked into Bianca Kincade's room and the fist thing she saw was a brunette in the bed with who Addison assumed was her mother in the chair beside her. Addison knew that Bianca had no clue who she was, but her parents did. Bianca's mother stood up the second that Addison walked into the room. She shook Addison's hand and then immediately got on the phone to call her husband who was down in the cafeteria eating a late lunch. When Bianca's mother hung up the phone she spoke to Addison.

"It is very nice to meet you Dr. Montgomery. My name is Megan Kincade. My husband Joseph is on his way back up from the cafeteria."

Addison could tell that Megan was nervous and she felt for that woman. She had been through a lot in the last three months. The whole family had been through a lot.

"Well I am here now and I just have to tell you that the pregnancy is extremely risky. I am not surprised that your OB didn't feel confident in being able to help you. Conjoined twins are very rare and they are even more rare in a woman as young as Bianca." Addison told the family honestly.

"Hey I am right here. Don't talk over me. Especially about my own babies." Bianca told Addison and her mother with an irritated tone in her voice .

"I apologize Bianca. You are right. You have every right to know what is going on with your body and your babies." Addison told as she looked at the sixteen year old.

"Thank you." Bianca told Addison politely.

Megan nodded as she looked at her daughter. She grabbed a stack of charts and diagnoses from the other doctor that had been seeing her until they discovered that the twins were conjoined and put them on Bianca's rollaway table.

"We don't keep secrets from Bianca about the pregnancy and the babies." Megan told Addison seriously. Addison was glad to hear that because she really didn't want to have to speak in code about this whole thing. It was Bianca's body and she had control of her reproductive system/Addison's eyes widened when she saw the stack of charts and other things that Megan had brought to her.

"Are those Bianca's medical records from her OB?" Addison asked.

"Yes, the told us to take them since they were no longer Bianca's OB."

Just then, Joseph Kincade ran into the room and when he reached Addison, he shook her hand. He was so glad that Addison had been able to come to keep a close eye on his daughter and his grandchildren. He only wanted the best for his daughter and his grandchildren.

"I am Joseph Kincade. Bianca's father." Joseph introduced himself to Addison. Addison smiled and said,

"I am Doctor Montgomery. Now let's take a look at the babies." Addison said.

She was extremely businesslike mostly so she didn't get attached to patients. She turned on the ultrasound machine and squirted some gel on the wand.

"It's going to be cold." Addison warned Bianca. Joseph moved to Bianca's other side. Addison put the wand on Bianca's stomach and she moved it around a little bit. She heard the heartbeats and there were two of them which told her that the twins were more than likely not joined at the torso. She moved the wand around a little bit and then she found where they were conjoined. They were conjoined at the head.

"It appears as though the twins are joined at the head. This is called Craniopagus. Now I cannot tell where on the head they are conjoined yet, but I know that that is where they are joined together. Bianca and her parents exchanged glances. Finally there was a name to the type of conjoined twins that Bianca was expecting. Megan was relieved that at least they had a name finally.

"Where's the father?" Addison asked, suddenly realizing that there hadn't even been mention of a father.

"I was the victim of a rape." Bianca answered quietly.

"If there was any idea where this sonofabitch was, I would kill him." Joseph growled.

Now everything was starting to make sense to Addison. She felt bad that she had brought it up but she felt like she needed to know where the father was and why he wasn't here.

"I apologize." Addison told the family gently.

"Why apologize. You didn't rape her." Megan asked kindly.

"I would like you to stay for a day or two so I can make sure that everything stays the way it is right now and then I can release you." Addison told Bianca.

"I thought she would have to stay in here until the babies were born?" Megan asked slightly confused.

"There's no need to put her on bed rest yet. Probably by the time she is six months along. Bring her back for a checkup in two weeks. I want to keep a very close eye on her and the babies." Addison told the family reassuringly.

"Thank you so much for everything you are doing for Bianca and the babies." Joseph told Addison with a smile.

"It is my pleasure. Have the nurses page me if you have any questions." Addison told the family before she made her way out of the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once Addison had left Bianca's room, she headed for the elevator. When she stepped inside of the elevator, Derek was the only other occupant of the elevator. Addison slipped into the elevator without saying a word to him. She wasn't sure what to say to him. She was sure that throwing him against the wall and having hot sex with him was number one on the list of the things she wanted to do.

"I broke up with Meredith." Derek told her. Derek knew that he had to tell her though he knew that he had a long way to go before she forgave him for picking Meredith over her in New York.

"I heard." Addison told him, faking disinterest.

Derek turned to Addison who was standing in the corner of the elevator. He walked over to her and kept his eyes locked on her face.

Addison's breathing quickened just by him being so close to her. She had no idea what he was doing. Heck she was sure that he had no idea what he was doing.

"Why did you do it?" Addison asked. Since Mark didn't seem to know, maybe she could get an answer from Derek himself.

"Because I couldn't get you out of my mind. I was thinking about you constantly and it wasn't fair to Meredith." Derek explained.

Addison couldn't believe that Derek was actually admitting that he had broken up with Meredith for her. Addison was sure that this was some sort of a twisted joke. She had never won out over Meredith before so why should this time be any different.

Derek reached out and brushed his hand over her cheek. He couldn't believe that he had actually thought that Meredith was better for him than Addison was. Addison's eyes closed when she felt Derek's warm hand on her cool cheek.

"I was going to come to LA. When Richard told me that you were coming here, I was happy." Derek admitted softly.

"I can't just forgive you. Not after you picked Meredith over me in New York." Addison protested. She had to stick to her resolve, but the way that Derek was talking to her and touching her, made Addison completely forget her resolve.

"I know. I thought Meredith deserved a real chance. One I should have given you when you came to Seattle." Derek told Addison softly. Derek's other hand brushed along her side and Addison shivered at the feeling. She wanted Derek to kiss her but she was not going to ask for a kiss again and then have it be interrupted.

"I am still in love with you." Addison admitted as she looked at Derek's face.

"I am still in love with you too Addie." Derek admitted as he pressed his forehead to hers. His eyes focused on her lips. Derek wanted to kiss them, but if they were truly serious about this, they couldn't just kiss and have it all be better. They had a lot of work to do on their relationship before they could begin a new chapter.

"I'm sorry about Meredith." Derek whispered.

"I'm sorry about Mark." Addison whispered back.

Just then the door opened and Mark and Callie were standing on the other side. Mark raised an eyebrow when he saw Derek and Addison with their foreheads pressed together and Derek touching her side and her cheek.

"Is this the same 'nothing' that I interrupted in New York?" Mark asked with a grin on his lips as he watched the two of them curiously. Addison blushed crimson and she followed Derek out of the elevator without a word to Mark or Callie. Once Addison and Derek reached the end of the hallway, they went in opposite directions.

Mark and Callie exchanged knowing smiles as they watched Derek and Addison head down the hallway away from their nosy friends. They knew what was going on even if Derek and Addison weren't ready to admit it. Of course they didn't realize that Derek and Addison had just admitted that they were still in love with each other while they were in the elevator.

"Are you ready to go back to the hotel?" Mark asked. Their new house was getting a home inspection tomorrow and hopefully escrow would be closed within a month. Mark and Callie were very excited to be living in an actual house. Mark hadn't lived in an actual house since he was a kid. He had always lived in dorms and then apartments once he had graduated from med school. He didn't need a lot of space. He went out and partied. He never had parties inside of his apartment.

"Yes. Let's go." Callie agreed as she laid her head on Mark's shoulder and yawned. Callie was exhausted. She had been in surgery from 11:30am until 3:30pm. Usually four hour surgeries didn't exhaust her, but she usually wasn't pregnant with twins either.

"Pizza or cheeseburgers tonight?" Mark asked Callie. He knew that Callie and the babies were sick of Chinese food. Mark was too. He was glad that he was no longer eating it every single night like he had been when Callie had first developed the cravings.

"Cheeseburgers with extra cheese and double the ketchup." Callie replied. Mark tried not to make a face at Callie's request for extra ketchup on her cheeseburger. He had never been a ketchup person, even when he was little.. He had always been a mustard guy for his hot dogs and burgers.

"Do you think they can omit the pickles, they make me want to puke." Callie asked as Mark guided her out to the car. Mark chuckled at the continued requests from the woman who was carrying his children. When he got to his car, he realized that Addison's luggage was still in there from when he had picked her up from the airport this morning. Thankfully he had a set of Derek's car keys for emergencies. Derek's car was parked right beside his so Mark unlocked Derek's trunk and threw Addison's two suitcases in there. He then pulled out his cell phone and texted Derek.

D

Could you drop Addison off at the Archfield when you are both done at the hospital? I told her I'd drop her off, but Callie's exhausted and I am taking her back to the hotel now. I dumped her luggage into your car.

M

A minute later, Mark got a response back from Derek.

M

Sure I'll take care of it. Go back to the hotel and take care of Callie and the babies.

D

Mark was relieved that Derek hadn't argued about taking Addison to the hotel. Mark wanted to get Callie home to the hotel. He honestly wasn't sure if Callie would make it through dinner and Mark was thinking that maybe a nap before the burgers was a better plan. It was 5:00 right now. Callie had gotten out of surgery ninety minutes ago and she had talked to the family and then she had caught up on her charts and then finally at about 4:15 she fell asleep in the on call room. Mark had woken her up twenty five minutes later, at 4:40.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they got to the hotel room, Callie was barely awake and she could barely walk on her own. Mark made a decision that the burgers would not happen until she was awake, no matter how hungry she was right now. Mark picked her up and then carried Callie to the bed and then he placed her onto the bed and pulled her shoes and socks off and then he took off his own shoes and rubbed her feet. Mark wasn't tired, but he knew that Callie was. Mark could hear her soft moan when she felt what he was doing to her feet. Mark assumed that it was relaxing or else Callie would have likely been screaming at him to stop touching her. Mark kept rubbing her feet even after she had fallen into a deep sleep.
